Welcome back to The Gwart Show! Today, Santisa @Tiza4ThePeople from Lucidity joins us to discuss market neutral strategies in DeFi. He breaks down how his fund extracts alpha from stablecoin pairs and incentive programs while maintaining a risk-neutral position. We dive into the sophistication behind monitoring protocols, identifying opportunities through on-chain analysis, and why DeFi tokens rarely represent true equity value. Santisa explains why his fund immediately dumps governance tokens, how they achieved double digit APY with "negligible risk," and why Bitcoin remains his primary conviction despite years in the DeFi ecosystem. Does the soul survive death—or is consciousness just brain chemistry? In this mind-bending episode, Father Spitzer takes us into the eerie world where science meets the supernatural. He shares real cases that defy everything we thought we knew: patients speaking with no brain activity, a man living a normal life with almost no brain, and a 4-year-old recounting his sister's miscarriage—before he was even born. Even unborn babies might experience consciousness. If the brain isn't the source of consciousness, science may be closer to proving the soul than ever before.NEW: Join our exclusive Rose Report community! https://lilaroseshow.supercast.com - We'll have BTS footage, ad-free episodes, monthly AMA, and early access to our upcoming guests.A big thanks to our partner, EWTN, the world's leading Catholic network! #347 In this episode, Guy welcomed Cailin Callaghan, a spiritual cognitive coach who shared her transformative near-death experience (NDE). Cailin recounted her encounter with an interdimensional being named Michael, who taught her the concept of 'lucidity'—being awake in the dream of the world. They delved into the idea that we create our world with our expectations and labels, often leading to our own unhappiness. Cailin discussed techniques to harness our consciousness to reshape our experiences and perspectives, emphasizing the importance of intentional thinking and speaking. This profound conversation explores how understanding our true selves can empower us to overcome suffering and embrace our role as creators in our own lives. About Cailin: At the age of twenty in 1978, I made a trip to the Lustrous Vast of Quantum Imminence where I was met by the guide whom I had, five years before, dismissed as merely the imaginary friend of my childhood. He, The Daemon Michael, is the source Consciousness from which I spring into this world venue, and he and I operate in a few other venues together as well while my body is sleeping here in Earth Venue.  When I met him in the Lustrous Vast, T. D. Michael gave me a life review and a revelation of what Humanity is doing that is destroying their happiness and preventing access to all the powers of their "godly estate." Empowered by this revelation, and inspired by the Divine Love I became while in the Lustrous Vast, I wielded my Will to literally raise my body from the dead. (It's not hard to do when you know what you are and what the Earth is.) My body had died from head trauma when a stallion had kicked me in the face, knocking me from the back of the running mare I'd been astride, chasing that stallion. My body lay in a pasture with my friend running towards it. As she stood over my still form, thinking I was dead and wondering what to do since we were so isolated, I, like a gusting whirlwind of Will, reinhabited my form, and the body's eyes popped open.  I started right away trying to deliver to the world the Liberating Perspective The Daemon Michael had given me, but it was 1978, and the world was not acquainted yet, in large, with the Quantum principles I/We had to offer. This week's show is with Sarah Janes. Author, researcher, curator, retreat/workshop facilitator and public speaker, Sarah Janes specialises in the ancient history and culture of dreaming and has been an enthusiastic lucid dreamer since childhood. Sarah is passionate about the potential of dreaming for physical, emotional, creative and spiritual upliftment, not just for individuals, but for culture and society. Sarah is co-director and curator of Dream Palace Athens, a symposium and deep-dreaming residency project in Greece. She is also the host of popular online lecture series Explorers Egyptology. Sarah has collaborated with Rupert Sheldrake and the British Pilgrimage Trust to reinvigorate the practice of dream incubation at sacred sites around the UK. Currently leading retreats to the ancient dream incubation sanctuaries of the Mediterranean, Sarah is now based between Hastings in England and Archaia Epidavros in the Peloponnese. Sarah's book: Initiation into Dream Mysteries: Drinking from the Pool of Mnemosyne explores the history and culture of dreaming in the Western Esoteric Tradition and is available from all book sellers and on Audible. In this show, Sarah and Lian delve into the profound world of dreams and lucid dreaming, exploring how these altered states of consciousness shape our understanding of reality. They discuss Sarah's lifelong passion for dreaming, the philosophical implications of lucidity, and the potential for personal growth and transformation within the dream realm. They explore the connection between lucid dreaming and hypnagogic states, highlight the transformative nature of these experiences, and share practical techniques for achieving lucidity. Together, they reflect on the role of ancient wisdom in dream practices, consider the cosmic perspective lucid dreaming provides, and emphasise the significance of memory and intention in shaping our dream experiences. We'd love to know what YOU think about this week's show. Let's carry on the conversation… please leave a comment wherever you are listening or in any of our other spaces to engage. What you'll learn from this episode: Dreams offer a unique intersection of sleep and wakefulness, providing a space for insight and creativity that taps into our deepest desires and fears. Through lucid dreaming, we can actively engage with these elements for self discovery. Hypnagogic states, those transitional moments between wakefulness and sleep, can be used as a pathway into lucid dreaming, allowing us to consciously enter the dream realm. In this state, we are connected to ancient cultural practices that viewed dreams as essential tools for decision-making and self-understanding. Lucid dreaming is not simply a binary experience but can manifest in varying degrees of awareness - lucidity is a spectrum. By setting intentions, practicing memory recall, and recording dreams, we can deepen our understanding and appreciation of the dream world as a transformative and healing space. Lucidity is a new opera staging its west coast premiere at the Seattle Opera tonight.   The performance takes a deeper look at the personal impacts that a dementia diagnosis has on an individual, and their family.  The opera follows Lili, a former singer who has a bit of a diva streak. Her adopted son, Dante, pauses his career as a pianist to care for his mom. Together, they navigate Lili's declining memory, her ability to perform, and her struggle to hold onto the thing at the center of her life: music. It's a role that Lucy Shelton, the soprano portraying Lili, was gifted by her friend Laura Kaminsky, who wrote the opera for her. Shelton does not have dementia, but she has navigated the dynamic between aging and singing over a five decade career. GUEST: Lucy Shelton, portrays Lili in Lucidity. This episode is a must-listen for Delain fans and symphonic metal enthusiasts, offering exclusive insights into the band's revival after a period of significant change, lineup shifts, and the release of new music. Martijn opens up about Delain's evolution, the return of classic members, and the creative process that drives their powerful, emotionally rich sound. A Look Back: The Evolution of Delain Delain was founded in 2002 by Martijn Westerholt, who was previously the keyboardist for Within Temptation. Since then, Delain has carved out its own space in the metal world, known for combining symphonic elements with hard-hitting metal riffs and introspective lyrics. The band's unique sound and captivating live performances have won them a devoted following, with standout albums like "Lucidity" and "April Rain" becoming staples in the symphonic metal genre. A mix of classic Delain members returning to the fold, combined with a brand-new vocalist whose voice adds fresh energy and depth to the band's sound. With Martijn's vision guiding them, Delain has emerged from this period of change stronger than ever. He dives into what it was like to rebuild the band from the ground up, navigating the pressures of maintaining Delain's signature sound while exploring new creative territories. New Music and Delain's Creative Process Delain fans are in for a treat as Martijn and Scott discuss the new music that's already making waves in the metal community. Martijn shares details on the band's songwriting process and how collaboration plays a role in shaping their sound. From thematic choices to the layering of symphonic elements with heavy guitar riffs, Martijn offers a behind-the-scenes look at how Delain's music comes to life. This episode promises to answer burning questions about Delain's future, including what's in store for the band's live performances and how they plan to push creative boundaries in their upcoming work. V.O. Coming to terms with one's death is always peaceful. All harm caused will be returned by he/she who causes it or acts in such a way as to inflict pain and hostility towards peaceful persons. Causing with intention psychological, physical, mental, or physical harm will result in the immediate karmic retaliation of such pain as inflicted on peaceful individuals; these acts of war will inhibit the actor from entering the transcendence, or developing expanded consciousness, gaining wealth, further material possessions–his own will is therefore weakened, and therefore unworthy of love himself, by the intent to cause one such pain as an act of violence or ill will. One's disruption of peace is thereby an act of cruelty, punishable beyond death–causing pain by intention to another individual in the attempt of control or manipulation, intrusion, and abuse is therefore against the laws by which the ascended abide by, and therefore cannot and will not exist beyond the ill fate of its perpetrator. Another double header!First up, today is iPhone pre-order day, and that makes it a great day to drop my interview from July with Adam Lisagor, the man behind Sandwich — the firm that got its start making ads for apps and companies big and small because of the the original iPhone and has gotten BACK into the app development game for the Vision Pro with the apps Television and Theatre — with the later being used to broadcast a live event captured in 3D and Spatial Audio at this June's Apple World Wide Developer Conference. This conversation with Adam, whose work I have long admired, is one of the most philosophical I've had all year, and hopefully will give you a nice think about media and the tools we use to make and consume it.Then, NoPro's roving correspondent Martin Gimenez brings us an on-site interview with On Site Opera's  General Director & CEO Piper Gunnarson as its next and Artistic Director Sarah Meyers recorded at this year's World Opera Forum and annual North American Opera Conference hosted by the LA Opera this past June. They dig into the past, present, and near future of the company, including the recently announced World Premiere of Lucidity which runs November 14-16 at Abrons Arts Center in New York City.SHOW NOTESSandwichTelevision (Apple Vision Pro)Theater (Apple Vision Pro)Video: playing with dalle3 images, luma image-to-video, and suno music. Send us a Text Message.Thelema is a complicated set of magical, mystical and religious beliefs formed in the 20th century by Aleister Crowley. Thelemites might be anything from atheists to polytheists, viewing the involved beings as actual entities or primal archetypes. Today it is embraced by a variety of occult groups including the Ordo Templis Orientis (O.T.O.) and Argenteum Astrum (A.A.), the Order of the Silver Star.Eroto-comatose lucidity is a technique of sex magic known best by its formulation by English author and occultist Aleister Crowley in 1912, but which has several variations and is used in a number of ways by different spiritual communities. A common form of the ritual uses repeated sexual stimulation (but not to physical orgasm) to place the individual in a state between full sleep and full wakefulness as well as exhaustion, allowing the practitioner to commune with their god.Support the Show.

In this episode of Life Matters, Brian Johnston examines the real implications of the recent presidential debate. Interestingly, he agrees with Pennsylvania Democratic senator, John Fetterman. In an interview with Fox News' Shannon Bream, Fetterman points out that he himself was in apparent mental collapse and his debates with candidate, Dr. Oz of television fame were complete failures due to Fetterman's slurring and confused use of language. It turns out that Fetterman went on to actually win the election by several points.  Brian points out that the real issues of the most recent presidential debate were not how either Trump or Biden spoke. The real issues in the debate are the ideas, the policies, the laws that are brought to bear by their respective political parties. Politics is about policy. The Democrat Party of America today is the single most radical entity that has ever existed in the United States of America. It is no longer the mildly liberal Democrat Party of perhaps your parents' generation or even of just recent years. On the abortion issue, they believe in unlimited government financed, government advertised, government promoted abortion through the ninth month and even after birth. That was admitted in the June 2024 debate! That is what Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton authorized.  Listeners from both parties were deeply disturbed by Biden's failures and many Democrats want a better leader to be the puppet for their policies in order to inspire victory. But the issue, nevertheless, is not who is at the head of the party. The issue really is the policies that that party will bring to bear and who that president will equip not only his entire cabinet with, but all the appointments of the federal government.  That president's policies are going to be what the rest of their party will follow not only on the federal level, but Democrats all the way down through state and local government are influenced by the policies stated by that party's platform and plank and leadership. That was the real significance of the most recent presidential debate.  In another program, Life Matters will examine the actual debate topics and demonstrate that the Democrat Party commitment to the logic of Roe v. Wade is very present. They want to insist that Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton remain the law of the land.

Please leave me alone; I'm asking you nicely. Alright, fine. Where is it! Where is what? You know what. What? From the fountain. It wasn't me! I don't have it. Welcome to The Nonlinear Library, where we use Text-to-Speech software to convert the best writing from the Rationalist and EA communities into audio. This is: My hour of memoryless lucidity, published by Eric Neyman on May 4, 2024 on LessWrong. Yesterday, I had a coronectomy: the top halves of my bottom wisdom teeth were surgically removed. It was my first time being sedated, and I didn't know what to expect. While I was unconscious during the surgery, the hour after surgery turned out to be a fascinating experience, because I was completely lucid but had almost zero short-term memory. My girlfriend, who had kindly agreed to accompany me to the surgery, was with me during that hour. And so - apparently against the advice of the nurses - I spent that whole hour talking to her and asking her questions. The biggest reason I find my experience fascinating is that it has mostly answered a question that I've had about myself for quite a long time: how deterministic am I? In computer science, we say that an algorithm is deterministic if it's not random: if it always behaves the same way when it's in the same state. In this case, my "state" was my environment (lying drugged on a bed with my IV in and my girlfriend sitting next to me) plus the contents of my memory. Normally, I don't ask the same question over and over again because the contents of my memory change when I ask the question the first time: after I get an answer, the answer is in my memory, so I don't need to ask the question again. But for that hour, the information I processed came in one ear and out the other in a matter of minutes. And so it was a natural test of whether my memory is the only thing keeping me from saying the same things on loop forever, or whether I'm more random/spontaneous than that.[1] And as it turns out, I'm pretty deterministic! According to my girlfriend, I spent a lot of that hour cycling between the same few questions on loop: "How did the surgery go?" (it went well), "Did they just do a coronectomy or did they take out my whole teeth?" (just a coronectomy), "Is my IV still in?" (yes), "how long was the surgery?" (an hour and a half), "what time is it?", and "how long have you been here?". (The length of that cycle is also interesting, because it gives an estimate of how long I was able to retain memories for - apparently about two minutes.) (Toward the end of that hour, I remember asking, "I know I've already asked this twice, but did they just do a coronectomy?" (The answer: "actually you've asked that much more than twice, and yes, it was just a coronectomy.)) Those weren't my only questions, though. About five minutes into that hour, I apparently asked my girlfriend for two 2-digit numbers to multiply, to check how cognitively impaired I was. She gave me 27*69, and said that I had no trouble doing the multiplication in the obvious way (27*7*10 - 27), except that I kept having to ask her to remind me what the numbers were. Interestingly, I asked her for two 2-digit numbers again toward the end of that hour, having no memory that I had already done this. She told me that she had already given me two numbers, and asked whether I wanted the same numbers again. I said yes (so I could compare my performance). The second time, I was able to do the multiplication pretty quickly without needing to ask for the numbers to be repeated. Also, about 20 minutes into the hour, I asked my girlfriend to give me the letters to that day's New York Times Spelling Bee, which is a puzzle where you're given seven letters and try to form words using the letters. (The letters were W, A, M, O, R, T, and Y.) I found the pangram - the word that uses every letter at least once[2] - in about 30 seconds, which is about average for me, except that yesterday I was holding the letters in my head instead of looking at them on a screen. I also got most of the way to the "genius" rank - a little better than I normally do - and my girlfriend got us the rest of the way ther...

When music journalist Myles Clarkson visits ailing piano virtuoso Duncan Ely at his palatial California home, ostensibly to interview the man, Duncan notices something distinct about Myles:  his hands – they're beautiful, the bone structure perfect for a concert pianist.  Myles, it turns out, is a Juilliard-trained musician whose career tanked after receiving some bad reviews.  Taking an interest in Myles, Duncan introduces him to his artist daughter Roxanne. Soon Myles has entered the pianist's inner circle, much to the chagrin of Myles' wife, Paula, who feels more than a tinge of jealousy at the attention being paid to her husband.  But things are about to take a turn for the uncanny.  Roxanne casts a plaster life mask of Myles, and with Duncan on his way out, Myles donates blood to help him.  While Myles is asleep, something happens, and when he awakes, he's changed.  It's almost as if he's someone else. His urge to live, to love, to play music, is revived, leaving Paula to wonder:  just what, or who, is inhabiting the body of the man she loves? That is not deceiving. What is deceiving is our interpretation based on assumptions, limited information, etc. So what I “know” isn't what always truly is. 2) Eyes being the windows to the soul is meant to say that we can read emotions and intentions in others eyes, regardless of what they say. However, I take this phrase literally. If I look into another's eyes and don't see or believe in a soul behind them, I just view them as another pile of matter. And while beauty being in the eyes of the beholder is meant to give the beholder the power of importing meaning and value, here I flip it to mean not that the power to import beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, but beauty actually lies behind the one beholding (or using their eyes to see). 3) The saying is really that “time remedies all ills.” However, the accrual of enough time is simply synonymous with death and destruction, as that is what eventually happens, and what is meant in the saying. In this section I flip the intended phrase by saying that death will cure the ills time will build, which opposes the common saying.[2] It's not really the looks of things that are deceiving. Everything that enters our eyes and senses is true. It's when it gets to our brain and our thoughts that things get twisted. If my mind is so good at twisting reality, even as the facts are right in front of me, how can I trust any assessment I make of “facts?”[3] So often the things I have “known” to be true ended up not being true. There's a tension between what I feel I know, and the knowledge that what I've “known” in the past has frequently been overturned because of my twisting of reality.[4] Physicalism has many moving away from notions of the soul, and other such spiritual concepts. When I look into another's eyes I'm just looking at a conglomeration of carbon and other elements. What my brain extracts and takes as knowledge is largely a social construct.[5] But if the eyes I look into are windowless, what of my eyes? If there's no beauty in the eyes of those I behold due to there being no soul, then I'm not really a beholder myself, as I have no soul. What then of beauty? And what then of the value of others, and of my own value? What then of essence? Do I become a machine moving along purely by the laws of physics? If eyes aren't windows to souls, there is no beauty because there's nobody who can discern it. It's a chemical construct.[6] Death is the great equalizer. For those who are suffering, death is a sweet respite from pain. For those who are evil and seemingly invincible, death will bring them low and overthrow them. It eventually cures all from pain and ends the rule of the wicked.[7] But this rain, this reign of death falls on both the just and the unjust.[8] Death may be the great equalizer, but it is also the cause for joy's cessation. It is not a respecter of persons. So it may cure some ills temporarily, or in the long run, but it is a great cause of many ills. Since we are all fallen creatures, it will never cure the world of ills for good, it simply affects all eventually. But as long as the world moves on, evil and suffering will abound. Death will never cure anything. It simply puts a time limit on it – both evil and suffering, as well as joy.[9] Death has no eyes. Since eyes are the window to the soul as stated before, it's made clear that death has no soul. There is no beauty there to behold. It is not a cure all or a quick fix.[10] When looking at death, it's the one moment I feel as though there's no discrepancy between what my eyes see and what truly is. Death is truth and reality. It's pure evil, lacking a soul, lacking goodness at all. It's the only thing I know that is real.[11] The particularly horrid aspect of death is that it is hauntingly clear. It approaches me every day, and waits at my doorstep and at the doorstep of those I love. It is so clearly evident. The one thing that is the embodiment of evil is the one thing I know with certainty and see with clarity. That will torture me until the day death cures me of my fear of it.  Thanks to our monthly supporters Laverne Miller Jesse Killion ★ Support this podcast on Patreon ★

This week we will study Matthew 8:28-34 under the theme “The Lucidity of Demons.” As we examine this encounter between Jesus and two demon-possessed men, what grabs our attention is the utter irrationality and wickedness of demons. Yet when Jesus shows up, they snap to attention, speak with clarity, and demonstrate a recognition and fear of his power and authority. As people who bear the name of Christ, we rejoice that he has revealed to us not just his power and authority, but also his heart. SERIES SUMMARY: While all Christians have heard the stories of the demonic in Scripture, very few of us walk around with a daily awareness that we are battling evil spiritual forces. This is, in part, because we live in a deeply secularized, post-Christian America. Satan has learned how much damage he can cause when he makes himself invisible. But if you don't acknowledge demonic forces in the world, you will always demonize the wrong things. We must be aware of the spirit realm, how it influences us, and how Jesus is Lord over it all. Cities and Memory - remixing the sounds of the world

"Using the sound of the bridge as ambience and texture I re-imagined this piece. I sampled part of the sound to mimic the sound of breathing. The beat mimics the heart beat as we drift into sleep.  The “tune” represents the awake mind .  As we drift into unconsciousness our subconscious takes over and reimagines the “tune” in a variety of ways.  As we drift into deep sleep we enter the dream. As with most of my dreams they are repetitive and seemingly never ending. Finally we awake and become aware of our surroundings once again. "The narrative / poem dictates the transition from drowse into a deep sleep. The chorus sings “ When we fall asleep, our awareness of the surrounding world fades. Yet, the sleeping brain is far from being dormant.”" Salt River, Tempe reimagined by Daniel Chudley - Le Corre.  Part of the Music for Sleep project - for more information and to hear more sounds from the collection, visit https://citiesandmemory.com/music-for-sleep/

With the world in the questionable state it is currently in, it only seemed right to let the musicians of the MMC explore the internal space, where the mind is allowed to explore freely, to ponder the more existential elements of our shared experience, it could all, the whole darn lot of everything everywhere, be a dream, or a simulation, or even just the passing thoughts of an interdimentional hyper disco chicken cruising the open rainbow road! Who knows? Well not us, but maybe some answers lie in the music of this months music challenge. So prepare to explore the world of Dreams with the musical stylings of Mobidextrous, Man of Arun, Notehead, TexMex Shaman (& StonerJazz), Tonal Drift, Andrew Hartshorn, A Sea Warren, Michel Debois, Chemical Shift (Broken Nomads), Peter Hawkey, Hellwaddler, John Serrano and your hosts Cosmic Bos, as well as a special presentation by the supergroup collaboration of Hartshorn, Jackson, Jackson and Warren! What more could you ask for? Cosmic Bos put out our tracks as an EP on all good sites, but they also put it out on bandcamp where you can exchange money for music, it's a clever system that was developed by Gnomes a long time ago, but it seems to still be working to this very day. Here is the link to our EP, it has an alternative cover on BC too! https://cosmicbos.bandcamp.com/album/mmc-18-dreams You can also find several of the tracks in the show on Bandcamp or soundcloud or YouTube, depends where the amazing artists post them. SuperSpectacular will be the penultimate episode of MMC1, with only a final, as yet unknown theme, to go with MMC 1.10, but feel free to submit anything from the Late Sub category whenever you like. If you have played along all year, or are considering going back to take on the challenge, then on completion you will have a 10 track album, and that's pretty winning in our kindles. Please take the time to comment, follow, share, subscribe to all the amazing artists featured on the show, and buy their music, it's absolutely worth every smeckle, the least you can do is leave a comment, and comments make artists feel validated, so pwease, pwease, pwease we beg you, leave a comment or two to feed our dopimine addictions.
