Welcome back to “Runway Series”, the podcast produced by Olive Capital.I am still your host, Raph, and this season is a bit of an evolution. We're still following the same curiosity that's always shaped this show, the stuff changing underneath finance, product, and the way people build and finance tech innovation, but we're packaging it in a more focused way. We'll be exploring a few themes that feel especially important right now.One is invisible rails: the infrastructure quietly reshaping how money moves, settles, and flows through everyday products.Another is the agentic economy: what happens when software starts doing more of the work, not just helping us do it. We've already started exploring this theme last year. We'll also look at trustless privacy, how people and companies can share less, protect more, and still move faster. And we'll spend time on everyday money: the consumer fintech questions that matter most in practice, from how people manage their accounts to what makes a financial product actually stick. The idea is simple. Keep following the signals, keep talking to the people building the future, and keep making sense of what all of this means in real life. That's what this season is about. The topics will intermingle for sure, this is an exploration, so we will see how this season unfolds.-- The podcasts are authored, edited and produced by Raph Grieco (raphael-grieco.com | olivecapital.vc).

Do you constantly over-do, over-give, and over-perform to "earn your keep" in your relationships? On this episode of Ask Kati Anything, licensed marriage and family therapist Kati Morton transitions to an all-new, single-topic format to take a deep, evidence-based dive into the world of over-functioning. Through real community stories and personal reflections, Kati maps out the 6-stage cycle that leads from automatic over-giving straight into quiet resentment, eventual blowups, and toxic guilt. But this isn't just an emotional burden. Kati shares fascinating, decades-spanning clinical research—including the concept of "unmitigated communion," a 7-year study following 1,340 couples, and a chilling 2022 medical study linking "self-silencing" directly to physical cardiovascular risks like carotid plaque. If your body is carrying what your mouth refuses to say, it is time to break the loop. Tune in to get a clear, 4-step actionable framework to practice "deliberate under-functioning," express specific needs, and tolerate the discomfort of choosing growth over chronic exhaustion. Runners of NYC is relaunching. We're changing up the format — fewer studio sit-downs, more conversations out in the wild across the five boroughs — and we're thrilled to welcome Patryk Odedina as our new co-host. Same mission of surfacing the untold stories behind NYC's running culture, with a fresh approach to how we tell them. More soon.First...Meet Patryk.------"I was at the gym one day, doing the typical dude thing — asking my neighbor Kenny what he was working on. Chest? Back? Arms? He just looked at me, straight-faced, and said: 'Five or six miles on the treadmill.' I swear, I had never heard someone say something like that in my life. And Kenny's not some lean guy — he's a husky dude. So I'm standing there like, what is he talking about? Then he tells me he's training for the New York City Marathon. That's all I needed. I thought, if Kenny can do it, I can do it."Patryk Odedina is a Bronx-based runner who picked up the sport at 29 after a gym conversation with his neighbor Kenny, and has since completed all six World Marathon Majors while chipping nearly 90 minutes off his debut time. Background:– Born in Poland, raised in the Bronx from age 3. Polish mother, Nigerian father.– Played basketball at Lincoln High School (the one in Yonkers) and Lehman College. No running background.– Spent six-plus years in tech salesThe origin story: Late 2018, lifting weights in a Harlem gym, his neighbor Kenny mentioned he was training for the NYC Marathon. Patryk had never heard anyone say something like that out loud. He signed up for the 2020 race through Team for Kids before knowing what a 5K was.Marathon résumé:– 2020 NYC (virtual): 4:40. Ran the actual route solo in the rain; mom as support crew.– 2021 NYC: ~4:57. The 50th anniversary edition.– 2023 London: 3:58. Finally cracked sub-4 on his fourth attempt.– Six Stars: NYC → London → Berlin → Tokyo → Boston → Chicago. Wore a Yankees singlet in Boston.– 2026 Jersey City: 3:09. Now chasing sub-3.Beyond the race: Associate board member of the Bronx Burners, a 501(c)3 that has distributed $100K+ in college scholarships to Bronx youth. Creator of the Run Clubs of NYC video series — 49 NYC clubs and counting. This is Runners of NYC. A podcast from CITIUS MAG. Ken and Anthony talked about what they saw and what they missed from NBA All-Star weekend and whether or not the league has finally figured out how to make the festivities watchable.
On today's episode of The Sporting Tribune Today, your hosts share their firsthand perspective on covering the 2026 NBA All-Star Weekend as media, followed by a deep dive into the All-Star Game format and Kawhi Leonard's standout performance. Segment One — Covering the All-Star Game as Media Arash, Grant, and Anwar open the show with an inside look at what it's like to cover the NBA All-Star Weekend live — from player availability and buzz around events to the excitement of being on site at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood. They talk about how the environment differed from previous years, the interaction with players and coaches during All-Star Media Day, and what stood out about player energy, fan engagement, and the broader vibe of this year's festivities. Whether it was breaking news moments or candid locker-room reactions, the crew gives listeners a front-row seat to the weekend's biggest stories. Segment Two — All-Star Game Format & Kawhi's Performance In the second segment, the hosts break down the new NBA All-Star Game format, which featured a three-team round-robin tournament (two U.S. teams and a World team) and then a championship game — a shift designed to bring more competitiveness and meaning to midseason basketball. The format helped make this year's showcase one of the most engaging All-Star Games in years, drawing some of the highest viewership numbers in over a decade. Amid this, Kawhi Leonard turned in one of the tournament's most memorable performances, scoring 31 points and hitting a clutch go-ahead three to lift Team USA Stripes past Team World in a tightly contested matchup. His efficiency and impact — including a barrage of contested jumpers and six made triples — electrified the home crowd and underscored how the new format encouraged star players to compete hard throughout the event. Produced by: Grant Mona Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.
Daryl Ruiter and Nick Pedone fill in for Ken Carman and Anthony Lima. They recap NBA All-Star activities from over the weekend and discuss whether or not the new format made things more interesting.
In this All-Star Weekend recap episode of The Pacers Post Up, Brad and Ryan break down the action from Intuit Dome! Pascal Siakam represented the Indiana Pacers proudly on Team World, holding his own in the new USA vs. World round-robin format. Adam Silver doubled down on tanking concerns, calling it worse than recent memory and hinting at big remedies ahead. The dunk contest was a total dud, but the new All-Star Game format had players buying in big: Wemby set the early tone, Kawhi Leonard exploded for 31 points to thrill the home crowd and advance USA Stripes, and games stayed competitive… until Ant Edwards and the young USA Stars ran the veteran “OGs” (USA Stripes) off the floor in the final as Ant-man won his first All-Star Game MVP. We recap everything from the weekend that was in Los Angeles. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.
NBA All-Star Weekend kicks off in Inglewood, California, beginning with the Celebrity Game on Friday, followed by the three-point and slam dunk contests on Saturday, and culminating with Sunday’s main event. This year’s new format divides rosters into Stars, Stripes, and International teams competing in a round-robin tournament. What do we think about this new format? Is this the change the NBA needed, and what are we most looking forward to this weekend? We break down the structure, expectations, and whether this year feels different.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Does the Bible really teach that souls go straight to Heaven with no purification after death? In this episode of YouTube Catechesis from The Latin Prayer Podcast, we take a new approach, not standard apologetics, but letting the Latin sources themselves make the case. Rather than arguing from modern summaries, this episode returns to the foundations: • Sacred Scripture in the Latin Vulgate • Prayer for the dead in the Latin tradition • The Roman Canon of the Mass We examine three key Latin witnesses: • 1 Corinthians 3:15 — salvation quasi per ignem, “as through fire” • 2 Maccabees 12:46 — prayer pro mortuis, for the dead • The Roman Canon — praying for the departed to receive a place of refreshment, light, and peace Taken together, these texts show that the Latin tradition does not teach only two destinations after death. Scripture, liturgy, and prayer all assume purification, and the Church has always prayed accordingly. This episode marks the beginning of a new format for YouTube Catechesis on this channel, moving beyond surface-level apologetics and asking a deeper question: What does the Latin itself say? Whiparound Fridays continue as Andy and Brendan cover everything from the quarterback room of the Cleveland Browns to the drinking water at the Austrian Open in this episode. After crowning the Austrian Open as his "Event of the Week," Brendan was swarmed with information about the tournament and its history. He informs Andy about the past "tee up" rounds where every shot could be played off a tee and shares that the drinking water may be causing some issues for players on the course. The main portion of this episode focuses on the changes to the Tour Championship and FedEx Cup Playoffs that were announced Tuesday afternoon. Andy and Brendan discuss the removal of "Starting Strokes" from the Tour Championship and whether these changes will be enough to fix what has become a broken playoff system. With the playing field evened out at East Lake, they then debate who the worst-case scenario winner of the 2025 FedEx Cup would be. Meanwhile at the U.S. Women's Open, slow play is once again the topic of discussion with rounds nearing six hours on Thursday afternoon. Andy and Brendan then recap the NCAA Championship and some gamesmanship by an Oklahoma State player that should have him in Ryder Cup conversations. In other news, Charlie Woods is an AJGA winner, Good Charlotte is headed to Bolingbrook this summer, Blockie's angling for Champions Tour exemptions, and Bryson may have some nice digs in Washington D.C. ahead of LIV Virginia next week. To wrap things up, Brendan shares an amusing story from his trip to a diner with PJ.
