Orkester Slovenske filharmonije je včeraj izvedel drugi večer v abonmaju SOS, Sodobne orkestrske skladbe. Z dirigentom Valentinom Urjupinom in solistkama, pianistkama Nino Prešiček Laznik in Lovorko Nemeš Dular je orkester izvedel delo Odtekanje časa št. 7 Uroša Rojka ter glasbo dveh ameriških klasikov 20. stoletja. Naslov Odtekanje časa se nanaša na čas za ukrepanje glede razgradnje naravnega okolja, ki se človeštvu vztrajno izteka. Rojko nikoli ni bil izrazit glasbeni ilustrator zunanjih pojavov, v središču njegovega snovanja je glasbena logika in tudi dvojni klavirski koncert Odtekanje časa VII je v prvi vrsti ustvarjalna preiskava glasbenega materiala, v tokratnem primeru nenehnih glissandov, spuščanj in naraščanj, obsedenih ponavljanj in premikanj gostih tonskih grozdov. Čeprav so štirje stavki koncerta sijajno orkestrirani pogledi na ta material, pa skozenj Rojko pretaka tudi namige na žalobna zavijanja, opozorilna oglašanja in rušilno silo. Solistki, ki sta skladbo igrali drugič, sta suvereno opravili garaško poustvarjalno nalogo, dirigent Urjupin pa je solidno uravnaval zvočna razmerja. Nalogo je opravilo tudi umetniško vodstvo, saj sta se skladbi Charlesa Ivesa in Johna Adamsa hkrati sprva zdeli presenetljiv odmik od Rojkove estetike, a se je ob samem poslušanju Ivesovega zgodnjemodernističnega pejsaža in Adamsove romantično zalite repetitivne muzike pokazalo kar nekaj posrečenih povezav.

Hvert år får rundt 30 000 personer demensdiagnose i Norge, og antallet øker i takt med en aldrende befolkning. Den vanligste årsaken er Alzheimers sykdom, hvor forandringene i hjernen gjerne starter 10–20 år før symptomene viser seg. Overlege og forskningsleder Anne-Brita Knapskog ved Hukommelsesklinikken på OUS har forsket på demens i mange år. Klinikken utreder særlig yngre personer med kognitiv svikt. Demens begynner ofte med hukommelsessvikt og utvikler seg til å påvirke språk, sanser og kroppslige funksjoner. Dette kan føre til at pasienter som for eksempel opplever smerte, uttrykker dette i form av uro. «Den gode nyheten er at nye medisiner nå kommer på markedet,» sier Anne-Brita. Effekten er foreløpig moderat, men det gir absolutt håp om at det på sikt vil komme mer effektive legemidler og behandling. V gradu Štanjel domuje Muzej slovenskega jezika in knjige, interaktivna razstava, ki predstavlja knjižne mejnike iz slovenske zgodovine. Obiskovalci lahko vzamejo v roke Trubarjev Abecednik in se čudijo, kako je lahko tako majhna knjiga prelomna za slovenščino. Če pa se jim ob tem porodi še kakšno vprašanje, ga lahko zastavijo kar Trubarju samemu, njegovemu avatarju, ki naj bi po večini podajal pravilne odgovore. O tem, kaj vse je mogoče doživeti v Muzeju slovenskega jezika in knjige, smo se pogovarjali z Urošem Grilcem iz zavoda Škrateljc, pri katerem so načrtovali muzej. Za strokovno postavitev so poskrbeli pri Inštitutu za slovenski jezik Frana Ramovša ZRC SAZU. Pri projektu so sodelovale tudi druge vodilne ustanove s področja jezika in knjige: Slovenski šolski muzej, Narodna in univerzitetna knjižnica ter druge (Foto Ana Rojc/Muzej slovenskega jezika in knjige).

Najprej so bili sonce, dež, grom in strela, potem je bil ogenj ... Kmalu so prišli ljudje, ki so ogenj zanetili in sedli okrog njega. Sedeli in modrovali so na prostem, pod milim nebom in v jamah, v katerih je ostalo veliko sledi dima. Ognjišče se je velikokrat razvnelo v požar, kot zgodbe, ki so razplamtevale domišljijo in razvezale jezike, prepletale polifonijo glasov v pletenice dolgih pripovedi. Zgodba ujetega sonca, gorčega ognja in ukradene lune se je nadaljevala. Ker je bilo ljudi strah, so prižgali bakle, zato da bi v temnih nočeh na zemlji zasijala ognjeno topla in srebrno modrikasta mesečina. Potem so gradili domove in vanje prinašali luč in ogenj: z oljenkami, s svečami, petrolejkami. Prišlo je stoletje plinskih svetilk, žarnic, električnega toka, zatem stoletje odvisnosti od električne energije in pojava svetlobnega onesnaževanja. Seveda zgodbe še ni konec ...
