The WWE certainly presented a Horror Show of a PPV at Extreme Rules tonight and Dan "The Mouth" Lovranski joins Jason Agnew to recap and review a very bizarre card. Plus, IMPACT Wrestling presented their much hyped Slammiversary PPV packed with former WWE talent including Heath slater, Eric Young and The Good Brothers debuting, but did it live up to expectations? And we're only a few days removed from AEW Fight For The Fallen, so the boys take a look back at the role of Taz, the Dynamite debut of Sonny Kiss and the possible heel turn of Kenny Omega. Dave Meltzer also joins the show to provide his thoughts, and we have a rare "Who Am I?" edition of Turnbuckle Trivia.

There’s a whole lot of wrestling going on! July and August were host to a 20 man 20 night tournament in New Japan Pro Wrestling, Impact Wrestling’s Slammiversary PPV, NXT Takeover Brooklyn 4, and WWE Summerslam! One of the ensest 50 days in wrestling in 2018 resulting in some of the most predictable outcomes, and yet, the most uncertain future of wrestling for the next 6 months! Even if you don’t know what’s going on, give it a try. There may be something you like stuffed in our extra-long monthly wrestling spectacular.
The #goodfriends are back for one last Josh appearance before he spends some time on the shelf. So soak it in, marks! Prayers up, because our boy has a serious concussion. He will return to show in due time, but in the meantime enjoy this lively chat from before his injury, as we get into it about the latest advancement for women's wrestling in WWE in just two rounds this week, as we make room for a loaded mailbag. And those rounds are: 1. WWE Evolution! What could the first-ever women's-only WWE pay-per-view have in store for us come October? What matches would we want to see, and does it hurt these moments that Stephanie McMahon always puts herself front and center? We dive in. 2. Odds & Ends! We dive into a handful of topics that we couldn't go the full 15 on individually, including Impact's latest Slammiversary PPV, whether Impact Wrestling is indeed "back", the best of NJPW's G1 tournament, and a surprising week on NXT. Plus Justin goes off on another epic scream-fest freak out on so-called fans who live to glorify New Japan by crapping all over WWE at every turn. Support the show at patreon.com/TopMarks, where $5 gets you access to all of our donor content. Unfortunately as a result of Josh's concussion there will be no donor episode for July, but that means we're bring not one but TWO retro reviews to you in August! As commissioned by the wonderful Crap family, we will be reviewing (with live commentaries of the main events), for Doug Crap, WWF St. Valentine's Day Massacre '99. And for Jess Crap, WWF King of the Ring 1995! It's a Crap family celebration and it's all going down on the Top Marks Patreon feed. Get over there! Follow us on Twitter: @TopMarksPod
This week, Hal, Danielle and Mike are joined by Jamie Loftus! She's a comedian and the creator and star of Irrational Fears on Comedy Central. She joins the Nation of Conversation to discuss our favorite news from the week in wrestling including the announcement of WWE Evolution, the first ever all-women PPV that the company has ever put on. But even though we're excited about this show and hope that it's as good as it could be, this is yet another example of WWE patting themselves on the back for removing barriers that they established. And Roman Reigns is officially the number one contender for Brock Lesnar's Universal Championship. What hope is there that it will be better received than the WrestleMania match? And is this guaranteed to end with a Money in the Bank cash-in to send the Brooklyn crowd home happy? All of this, plus why Smackdown was a very strong show this week and we'll heap praise upon Impact Wrestling for their recent influx in talent and last weekend's Slammiversary PPV. Ring Tones He's been known as The Giant, The World's Largest Athlete, Paul Wight and The Big Show. He's had a 20+ year career that's included being a grand slam champion and Jamie Loftus's favorite wrestler! She'll talk all about her fandom for him as the team takes a journey through his entrance music over the years. Hosted by Hal Lublin, Danielle Radford, Mike Eagle and Jamie Loftus. Produced by Julian Burrell for Maximum Fun. If you want to talk about more wrestling throughout the week be sure to join us on Facebook and @TightsFights on Twitter and Instagram. If you liked the show, please share it with your friends and be sure to leave us a quick review on Apple Podcasts or wherever you get podcasts.

It's a Pay-Per-View week and we've got a lot to do on Jobbing Out this week. In Segment 1, our friend Matt Farmer from DEFY Wrestling joins us to make picks for Sunday's Extreme Rules PPV. Is there ANY chance Rusev beats AJ Styles? There's no way they have Shinsuke Nakamura lose another big match, right? Right? The consequences for our loser will be particularly painful. In Segment 2 (47:23), we honor the WWE's "Song of the Week" choice from Smackdown. And then the guys dive into the Brock Lesnar/UFC happenings from the weekend. Obviously it's a joke for the UFC, but what does it mean for the WWE? Does Brock keep the title until he fights Cormier? How much will we see him? In Segment 3 (1:09:35), Baltimore native Rich Swann returns to the show. Much has happened since the last time we chatted with him-including his move to Impact Wrestling ahead of the upcoming Slammiversary PPV. We discussed crowd reactions, what he wants to do moving forward, his favorite matches since he's such a wrestling mark and sang some Lionel Richie together again. And we wrapped the show be recapping the New Japan Pro Wrestling G1 Special from San Francisco this weekend (how great is Juice Robinson?), some potential #ALLIN changes, a return for the Mae Young Classic and MCW's upcoming Shane Shamrock Cup.
In this episode, Kelsi and Paul close out the show by saying a sentimental goodbye to PWP Nation. The hosts also review the Ring of Honor Best in the World PPV. They also talk about a ROH TV result spoiler at 12:33 to 18:03. They hosts discuss Impact Wrestling including the upcoming Slammiversary PPV, and they share a few sound bites from a teleconference with Rich Swann. WWE talk features Kelsi discussing how she dislikes Bayley's heel turn, meanwhile both Paul and Kelsi are loving the chemistry between Kevin Owens and Braun Strowman. In the extended discussion Heads and Tails, Kelsi and Paul run an old, but timely, discussion from a previous episode comparing ROH stars to similar WWE stars and choose their favorites between each. Plus all listener-submitted questions are answered!
Aaron is back from his honeymoon and is still the worst. The boys have a lot to talk about, starting with the hypothetical Daniel Bryan/Cody Rhodes match that was teased on Twitter this week. At least one of the guys remains convinced there's no way it will happen-the others think there could still be a chance. After discussing that, the boys dive into Smackdown. Meet the new Miss Money In The Bank, same as the old Miss Money In The Bank. In Segment 2 (41:52) we introduce a new segment inspired by one of our listeners. The guys then jump into the fallout from RAW this week. Curtis Axel HATED the LaVar Ball segment-does he have a point? Also we get into our reactions to the Enzo & Cass tease, the women's gauntlet match and how they've done a great job of making Samoa Joe look credible. In Segment 3 (1:27:08) Impact Wrestling's Josh Mathews joins the show. Not only is he the voice of Impact Wrestling, but he has a match Sunday night where he's teaming with Scott Steiner at their Slammiversary PPV. We discuss that, the culture of Impact Wrestling, taking over Global Force Wrestling and why everyone in WWE always wanted to beat him up. After chatting with Josh, the boys wrap up with this week's Quick Count, discussing New Japan, Netflix's GLOW series and Mauro Ranallo's return to WWE as the voice of NXT.
Impact Wrestling's head honcho Jeff Jarrett joins Simon this week to chat everything from the promotion's upcoming Slammiversary PPV as well as how the company is doing since the rebranding. They also talk what's happening with the UK's World Of Sport, the expansion into India, WWE and more! We also break down WWE's Money In The Bank show from this weekend – including *that* finish – as well as what happened on this week's RAW, SmackDown and Impact. Be sure to leave a 5* review on iTunes, and you can support the podcast at http://www.patreon.com/simonmiller316!
