Hallo, ihr Lieben, in der aktuellen Folge vom BB RADIO Mitternachtstalk Podcast ist heute ein Mann bei mir im Studio, der seit über zwei Jahrzehnten die deutsche Comedylandschaft prägt und trotzdem kaum jemandem auf der Straße auffällt. Claudius Pläging sieht eher aus wie euer Lieblingslehrer, der Hausarzt eures Vertrauens oder ein sachlicher Politiker. Ruhig, trocken, gechillt, ein bisschen introvertiert. Keiner, dem man auf Anhieb zutraut, dass in seinem Kopf eine Dauerfeueranlage für Pointen läuft. Aber genau das ist seine Stärke. Er beobachtet, analysiert, denkt - und dann zündet er Gags, die Millionen erreichen. Er schrieb für TV total, Schlag den Raab und Ladykracher, ist kreativer Kopf bei Pastewka und Head Writer für Größen wie Carolin Kebekus, Olli Dittrich, Maren Kroymann, Teddy Teclebrhan und Martina Hill. Zwei Grimme-Preise gehen bisher auf sein Konto. Im Kino stammen unter anderem „Der Vorname“, „Der Nachname“ und „Der Spitzname“ aus seiner Feder. Aktuell arbeitet er an „Horst Schlämmer sucht das Glück“, mit Hape Kerkeling. Damit aber noch nicht genug: Seit 2023 steht er selbst als Stand-up-Comedian auf der Bühne. 2025 hat er mit 49 Jahren den Nachwuchswettbewerb HOT SHOT im Berliner Quatsch Comedy Club gewonnen, bei dem ich mit in der Jury saß. Jetzt ist er 50, und wenn er als „Nachwuchsstar“ angekündigt wird, sorgt das von Hause aus für viele Lacher. Seit seinem Sieg wollte ich ihn unbedingt einladen. Jetzt hat es endlich geklappt. Sonja Zietlow und Jan Köppen sind seit 23. Januar 2026 wieder mit «Ich bin ein Star – Holt mich hier raus!» bei RTL vertreten. Am Sonntag, den 8. Februar 2026, wird im Vorfeld des Superbowls der König des Dschungels gewählt. In diesem Jahr brachte sich unter anderem Reality-Star Ariel Hedinger ins Gespräch, die mit ihrem Ex-Partner schon bei «Prominent getrennt» war. In der neuen Staffel ist auch Gil Ofarim ein Teilnehmer, dessen Aktion vor dem Leipziger Hotel auch scharf von anderen Kandidaten kritisiert wurde. Allerdings behauptete der Sänger in der Sendung, er dürfe nichts zum öffentlichen Prozess sagen. Das stieß zum Beispiel Ariel negativ auf, die sich selbst im Camp als moralische Instanz sieht. Auf der anderen Seite kann sie bei den Dschungelprüfungen nicht überzeugen und liefert nur leere Mägen ab. Mario Thunert und Fabian Riedner reden auch über «Die Stefan Raab Show», die mehrfach die Woche gesendet wird. In der Premierenausgabe unterlief der Redaktion ein Fauxpas, weil man den Antisemitismus-Vorfall von Gil Ofarim neu vertonte und in die Lächerlichkeit zog. Das ist allerdings am Tag des Gedenkens an die Opfer des Nationalsozialismus geschmacklos. Das hier kein Shitstorm ausgebrochen ist, könnte daran liegen, dass Raab trotz Dschungel-Vorlauf schlichtweg irrelevant ist.

"When attention to the theological meaning of femininity is not accompanied by reflection on masculinity, men are left without a sense of the existential and sacramental significance of their own sex." A reading of a fascinating essay originally published in the journal Logos, about the work of Walter Ong, SJ. In the wake of an emphasis on the “feminine genius” as delineated by Pope St. John Paul II and others, this article attempts to develop a profile of the masculine genius. It supplements the teaching of Pope Francis on this subject in order to balance the more complete articulation of the feminine genius already provided by the Magisterium. Außerdem haben wir darüber geredet, wie man das meiste aus dem Leben herausholt, ohne dabei zu zerreißen; was gute Freunde ausmacht und warum Steven nicht immer einer ist – und wie er die weniger erfolgreichen Phasen seiner Karriere gemeistert hat, die wir als Publikum ja oft gar nicht mitbekommen. On the morning of August 26, 1986, a cyclist in New York's Central Park discovered the body eighteen-year-old Jennifer Levin. Among other things, Levin had been strangled, there were superficial injuries on her face, and her shirt was pulled up. Later, the medical examiner reported that Jennifer had died only about an hour before she was discovered.It didn't take long for investigators to find Levin's assailant, after several patrons at a nearby bar reported seeing her with a man the night before. That man turned out to be nineteen-year-old Robert Chambers Jr., a privileged members of New York's Upper East Side high society. At first, Chambers denied having anything to do with the murder, but soon changed his story and claimed Levin had died during consensual “rough sex” initiated by Levin herself.Nicknamed the “The Preppy Killer” by the press, a reference to his good looks and obvious privilege, Chambers' trial became a media circus. Over the course of more than a year, people around the country watched as the defense tried—and with the help of the press, succeeded—to put the responsibility for Levin's murder on the victim, emphasizing her sexual history and manner of dress, among other things. Episode No. 700 (!) features artist Tarrah Krajnak and curator Claire Howard. Krajnak is featured in two exhibitions on opposite sides of the United States. At the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Krajnak is featured in "Around Group f.64: Legacies and Counterhistories in Bay Area Photography" through July 13. The exhibition was curated by Shana Lopes, Erin O'Toole, and Delphine Sims, with Sally Katz and Alex Landry. At the International Center of Photography, New York, Kraynak's work is included in "To Conjure: New Archives in Recent Photography." Organized by Sara Ickow, Keisha Scarville, and Elisabeth Sherman, the exhibition presents the ways in which seven photographers are reimagining what an archive can be, or might look like. A third US exhibition of Krajnak's work opens April 16 at the Frye Art Museum, Seattle. It will be curated by Georgia Erger. Krajnak works between photography, performance, and poetry. Krajnak, who was born in Peru to an Indigenous mother and who was raised by a transracial US family, often interrogates photography standards and finds that they have limited women, and furthered the violent loss of Native land, lives, and rights. She has won most major photography prizes; her work is in the collections of museums such as the Museum of Modern Art, New York; the Tate Modern, London; the Centre Pompidou, Paris; and the Museum Ludwig, Cologne. Raab is the author of "Relics of War: The History of a Photograph" from Princeton University Press. It examines a photograph made by Clara Barton and published by Matthew Brady that features relics from the notorious Confederate prison at Andersonville, Georgia.
