The No. 3 prospect in baseball, James Wood of the Nationals, made his MLB debut last night vs. the Mets and showed what all the hype is about. Plus the latest update from final fan voting for the All-Star Game saw some big names in tight races. On today's episode: Act I: THE BIG STORIES (0:52-3:17) James Wood is a name you will be hearing about often. With his elite speed, the 21-year-old Nationals outfielder was off and running in his Major League debut. He singled in his first at-bat, walked and also reached on an error in a wild 9-7 loss to the Mets. J.D. Martinez crushed a three-run homer in a six-run top of the 10th for the Mets, who then hung on for dear life. The resurgent Astros put a damper on Canada Day ceremonies in Toronto with a matinee win over the Blue Jays. The Brewers and Rockies rounded out a quiet slate in baseball with an extra-inning slugfest at Coors Field. Act II: WHIPAROUND (3:17-5:05) All-Star Game voting ends at noon ET tomorrow and some races are going down to the wire. It's especially tight in the AL and NL outfields, where Juan Soto and Christian Yelich are leading by slim margins. Act III: LOOKING AHEAD (5:05-6:16) There's a pitcher going tonight who is bidding to be the NL starter in the All-Star Game. And that's after being a reliever the past two years with no certainty of even making the Opening Day roster a few months ago. He's Reynaldo López and he'll lead the Braves against the Giants in a game you can watch on MLB.TV at 7:20 p.m. ET. A couple of days ago a user called iCareSoVeryDeeply left a comment on my youtube channel and this is what he had to say: "Hi Sandman, get an oculus rift, a massage chair, a shot of whiskey, and a Flesh Light. You'll get off so hard you won't care about robots, or women, or much of anything for about an hour. I speak from experience. I see a lot of sad underachievers in the masturbation department. If you're going to do it, do it right, and get that goofy high feeling you get from real sex, the kind that makes you feel great the next day." Well, that's what iCareSoVeryDeeply had to say and he got my attention. I've been thinking about what he said for the last few days. You see for me sex has always been about the feeling that I would get for a day to two days afterwards. When I've ejaculated with a woman and then feel so good in many cases that I don't need to be sexual for a day or two. My sexual appitite has been fully filled and I can go about my business. Pornography has only done this for a me a few times in my life so to think that there would be technology out there that would allow me to do that seriously got my attention. So if I'm to believe the tales of ICareSoVeryDeeply. Then I have to have four things covered on my list. Alcohol, check, an massage chair, well a good one will set me back a couple thousand dollars and a professional one will set me back ten thousand dollars. So I'll have to get all the other elements of the technology right before I move onto that one. And I can get a flesh light with three sleeves for about two hundred dollars. So I've been looking at that and think the Super Tight, Wonder Wave and the vortex sleeves seem to be the best. Then comes the most complicated part of this four step program the Oculus Rift itself and the technology associated with it. The problem with this technology is that it's still in it's infancywhen it comes to stimulating lifelike and real people in a virtual world. The closest thing I've seen to real is in two videos that I'm adding in the description below. These three videos are called Oculus Rift Video of Photo Realistic CG Women, Naked Virtual GIRLS EVERYWHERE! and HydraDeck Humans. The first one has a naked woman in heels over and over again and it's so incredibly photo realistic. You can fly around her in virtual space and see her complete body from all different angles. The third video called Hydradeck humans shows you how the 3D people are made. They aren't rendered from a 3D character. Instead they are photographed from all different angles in a large room that looks like a reverse holodeck. But instead of projecting images the reverse holodeck room looks like it has hundreds of cameras capturing a real person from many different angles. Technology like this combined with green screen is going to revolutionize the way that Hollywood films and pornography are going to be made. 2/23/20, we pay homage to the late great Pimp C... Chad Lamont Butler (December 29, 1973 – December 4, 2007), better known by his stage name Pimp C, was an American rapper and record producer. He was best known for his work with Bun B as a founding member of the Underground Kingz (UGK). Signing to Jive Records in 1992, UGK released their major-label debut album Too Hard to Swallow to positive reviews.[1][2] The group followed this with their second and third major label albums Super Tight in 1994 and Ridin' Dirty in 1996, both of which charted in the Billboard 200 and received critical acclaim.[3][4][5][6] The group received national attention in 2000 after being featured on Jay-Z's hit single "Big Pimpin'", which peaked at #18 on Billboard Hot 100 and #1 on the Rhythmic Top 40. The group went on hiatus for the first half of the 2000s after Pimp C was sentenced to eight years in prison for a probation violation, during which time both members pursued solo careers, with Pimp C releasing his solo debut, The Sweet James Jones Stories in 2005, composed of material recorded prior to his sentencing. After being released from prison in December 2005, he released his second solo album, Pimpalation the following year, and released UGK's eponymous fifth studio album in 2007, which spawned the hit single "International Players Anthem (I Choose You)" featuring OutKast, which peaked at #70 on the Billboard Hot 100. Pimp C was found dead in his hotel room on December 4, 2007, with a coroner report attributing his death to complications stemming from heavy consumption of purple drank and his pre-existing condition of sleep apnea.[7][8] #29DaysOfBlackHistory *Putting People On Game does not own any rights to this music or images* Hit us up or send us a text 214-744-3601! Building HVAC Science - Building Performance, Science, Health & Comfort
Today Ed Kisiel of EKABuild Corp. joins us to discuss the way he goes about constructing super tight homes using standard construction techniques. Ed describes his process and his respect for the House as a System concept: that is the envelope, mechanicals and architectural design all need to work together in harmony. He’s an open minded civil engineer turned builder who has a thirst for learning more about building science, building materials and modes of construction. Some of Ed’s favorite resources include Matt Risinger (www.youtube.com/user/MattRisinger), Allison Bailles (www.energyvanguard.com), Green Building Advisor (www.greenbuildingadvisor.com) and Joe Lstiburek (www.buildingscience.com). Bryan Barnes of Aeroseal, LLC joins us today to discuss two revolutionary technologies that greatly impact Building Performance: AeroSeal for sealing ducts from the inside out and AeroBarrier for sealing a building enclosure in the same manner. We hear about the science behind Aeroseal and the dramatic performance increases in comfort, energy and the health of the environment. Their smart-liquid sealant turns into an aerosol in their machine and actual finds and seals holes and gaps up to ⅝” in stated performance, yet larger holes have been sealed. If you’re an HVAC contractor, consider AeroSeal to make you customers more comfortable with far less time & labor in duct sealing in retrofit work allowing you to reach buried ducts. It’s also a time saver in new construction duct sealing, too. If you’re a builder, consider what AeroBarrier can do minimize the air changes of the envelope you are building to meet and exceed any existing or anticipated energy codes. If you are interested in learning more, or becoming a dealer of these highly differentiating products, go to www.AeroSeal.com or www.AeroBarrier.com or email our guest Bryan at Bryan.Barnes@AeroSeal.com

My guest for this episode of KTG Talks is visual artist and writer Stacy Elaine Dacheux. I've been friends with Stacy for a long time, all the way back to our days at the Jack Kerouac School at Naropa University. Since I met Stacy back in Boulder, I've had the good fortune of seeing her evolve as an artist. If it's painting, drawing, interviews, art criticism, short fiction, screenwriting, or coaching others to improve their writing - she always has a project or two exploring a new creative curiosity. The links listed below will lead you to her work old and new. Sometimes Stacy is working on a personal vision she has for a project or she's collaborating with other creators. Her latest work, one that showed at Kitchen Table Gallery last year, is the short film Back to Abstraction. Stacy wrote and starred in the film and Matthew Quezada directed. This film later premiered back in LA at I PRESENT TWO: BACK TO ABSTRACTION Tuesday, January 17th: "Join Shauna McGarry and Stacy Elaine Dacheux for the premiere night of a new film series! A local artist/filmmaker shows a new piece and presents two other works by artist/filmmakers that must be seen! Then, in the next month, one of those artists will present two other works and so on and so on. Our first featured filmmaker and curator, Stacy Elaine Dacheux, will screen her film, BACK TO ABSTRACTION, then present THE BAD HALF by Duncan Birmingham (IFC’s Maron, Sundance) and WE THE MASSES by Robyn O’Neil (Herzog’s Rogue Film School, Whitney Biennial). Conversations with filmmakers to follow. “I Present Two” hopes to start a wonderful and ongoing conversation between the film center, the artists we admire, and our community." Then the film showed at El Cid's Short Film Night on Feb. 7th. One thing I love about Stacy's approach to making art is that collaboration is a creative force which inspires her. In the time that I've known her, she has discarded the tired archetype of the solitary, self-destructive artist. Her work is unique, and her desire to collaborate comes from a joyful place. Enough from me! There's a small library of links to her work below and listen to the episode! If you'd like to support the gallery you can do a few things: 1. Share! Share! Share! He breaks down his new project called Vinyl Cape, and explains where he wants to take that project in the near future. Mike Riley’s art this week is an homage to UGK’s Super Tight. This episode is hosted by splicetoday.com.
