Chris, Alfred, and Chase talk about what Texas and Oklahoma baseball joining the SEC means for them and the rest of the conference. A deep dive into the coaching carousel: Texas A&M's Jim Schlossnagle takes the Texas job while the Aggies replace him with Michael Earley. Texas supported Schlossnagle with a hire of hitting coach Troy Tulowitzki. South Carolina was able to draw Paul Maineri out of retirement to become the Gamecocks' new head coach. Vanderbit's Tim Corbin fires Mike Baxter, Tyler Shewmake, hires Jayson King and Ty Blankmeyer. And Ole Miss's Mike Bianco fired himself as pitching coach and hired Cleveland's pitching coordinator, Joel Magnum. The transfer portal has been mayhem, starting with Ole Miss's roster getting hit hard. Vanderbilt added Michigan State transfer pitcher Joseph Dzierwa, and a number of good hitters, including James Madison's Mike Mancini and Dayton's David Mendez as well as Georgetown pitcher Cody Bowker. Alabama adds LSU C Brady Neal, Miami 1B and more to come. Arkansas adds Ohio State LHP Landon Beidelschies, Zach Root and Kuhio Aloy. Florida adds Blake Cyr and Billy Barlow, but Cade Fisher and Michael Robertson are out. Tennessee's Robin Villenueve, Bradke Lohry, Derek Schaefer leaving. South Carolina adds Georgia pitcher Jarvis Evans. Tennessee and coach Tony Vitello have lost several players, but expect the Vols to be major players in the portal as always. Auburn and Butch Thompson add a number of players, highlighted by Samford's Lucas Steele. He estimates he played on 40 teams from T-Ball to the Big Leagues and was the best player on about 10 of those teams. If that's the case, how did Ryan Spilborghs make an MLB roster and spend over a decade in professional baseball? Because he just kept chasing the dream. He knew if he kept going, others would fade away and he'd still be there. “Spilly” was born in Santa Barbara and stayed close to home for his college baseball career, mostly because all the other schools wanted him to walk on. At UC Santa Barbara, he was on scholarship, but quickly realized the work he needed to put in to actually play. In 2002, the Colorado Rockies drafted him in the 7th round thanks to a Rockies' scout (Billy Eppler, now GM of the NY Mets) who was in Long Beach for some surfing and happened to watch Ryan hit an improbable home run for the Gauchos against Long Beach State. From there he toiled in the Rockies' minor league system for a few years and made trusting friendships with guys he'd eventually play with in The Show, like Troy Tulowitzki, Garrett Atkins and Corey Sullivan to name a few. Spilly made his MLB debut on July 16, 2005. He played one game and was back to AAA. He returned in 2006 and hit his first home run. In 2007 he was an integral part of the Rockies' crazy regular season ending and playoff run which brough them to the World Series. After becoming a free agent in 2011, Spilly knocked around a few other teams including internationally for a couple years. In 2014, he joined the Rockies TV Broadcast crew as an analyst, a gig he still enjoys today, along with being a dad to two and husband to Stacey. Follow Spilly on Twitter @SpillyGoat19

Baylor baseball coach Steve Rodriguez has stepped away from the team after seven seasons at the helm of the program. Following a 26-28 finish overall and an eighth place mark in Big 12 play, it was only a matter of time before Rodriguez was relieved of his post — or stepped away himself. With the latter happening, Baylor is now in a search for its next skipper. Cameron Stuart, a local news guy, joins Drake to break down who the next coach will be. To start the list, Cameron pitches Dan Heefner, the head baseball coach at Dallas Baptist, while Drake offers Steven Strout from Texas State as his fifth pick. Both coaches have claimed massive success in the mid-major ranks. The fourth spot on the list calls for Cameron and Drake to swap — the former going with Trout as his pick and the latter choosing Heefner. Baylor could not go wrong with either. For the top three on the list, Drake led off with Sean Allen, the pitching coach at Texas who has been with skipper David Pierce for 10 seasons and crafted some of the best arms in the nation. Cameron, on the other hand, chose former Baylor pitching coach Chris Berry, the current softball coach at MCC. Drake rallied with Tennessee pitching coach and recruiting guru Frank Anderson, only to be met with Cameron's No. 2 pick — Texas assistant Troy Tulowitzki. And, for the number one pick, both Drake and Cameron agreed on McLennan Community College head baseball coach Mitch Thompson. Thompson spent almost 20 years in the Baylor program and recruited some of the best athletes the program had ever seen. Could he be the next head Bear? Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors!
