Will Doctor gives you the sharpest card for the BMW Championship and best outright ticket for the Danish Golf Championship -Reviewing Memphis featuring sound from Justin Rose, Tommy Fleetwood, Scottie Scheffler -Rickie Fowler sig. event points situation, hearing from Fowler on performance in Memphis -Ryder Cup scenarios featuring sound of Cantlay discussing Ryder Cup hopes and Keegan's dilemma -Discussing top 7 on odds board at Caves -1 matchup, 1 t10 -1 BMW outright (40/1) -Sleeper, 2 FRL, 2 lineups, scoring -Best Bet -Danish Golf Championship outright (35/1) Will Doctor opens with energy, introducing the BMW Championship at Caves Valley as week two of the FedExCup Playoffs and recapping a dramatic Memphis finish where Justin Rose, at 175–1 odds, claimed his 12th PGA Tour title by birdieing four of his last five holes to beat J.J. Spaun. Rose described his win as stoic, marked by determination and calmness, admitting that focus on execution muted his joy in the moment. Tommy Fleetwood, seeking his first PGA Tour win, led after 54 holes but faltered, finishing second; he emphasized gratitude for fan support and the importance of learning from close calls. Scottie Scheffler briefly shared the final-round lead but lost nearly 1.5 strokes putting on Sunday, missing the playoff by one. Key FedExCup changes saw Kitayama, Cauley, Fowler, Vegas, and Poston move into the top 50 while Potgieter, Spieth, Knapp, Clark, and Martin dropped out. Fowler, who finished T6, knew roughly a top 10 was needed and edged Chris Kirk by one shot to advance. Doctor defended Fowler against criticism over sponsor exemptions, blaming reduced field sizes for controversy, and highlighted that Memphis drew 3.6 million viewers, the best since 2018. Doctor's betting card suffered as Scheffler's Sunday putting cost multiple wagers. Brad Payne, caddying for Scheffler, noted good putts simply didn't fall, while Scheffler praised Spaun's grit. A win came via Jacob Bridgman over Potgieter, but Xander Schauffele, Wyndham Clark, and Harris English underperformed. On the European Tour, a bet on Christopher Broberg failed as Grant Forrest prevailed. Ryder Cup standings for Team USA show locks in Scheffler, Spaun, Schauffele, Henley, DeChambeau, English, and Thomas, with Morikawa, Bradley, McNeely, and Novak on the bubble. Contenders like Young, Cantlay, and Goderup remain in play. Cantlay endorsed Bradley's inclusion if he were captain. Team Europe's locks include McIlroy, Rose, Fleetwood, McIntyre, Hatton, Straka, Lowry, Oberg, Hovland, and Fitzpatrick, with Højgaard and Wallace vulnerable; Jon Rahm will take a spot, and others could qualify with strong finishes. Caves Valley's redesign features rebuilt greens, narrowed fairways, and lengthened holes, now a par 70 over 7,600 yards. Doctor reviewed top contenders: Scheffler's form remains strong despite a caddie change, McIlroy's driving accuracy is a concern, Schauffele and Thomas struggle with consistency, Fleetwood and Oberg offer solid form but questionable value, and Cantlay's price is too short given recent results. This week's picks include Fowler over Lowry, Sam Burns for a top 10, Matthew Fitzpatrick outright at 40–1, and Denny McCarthy as sleeper top 10. First round leaders are Scheffler and Burns. The DraftKings lineup features Young, Burns, Fitzpatrick, Fowler, McCarthy, and Novak, with Scheffler as best bet for top American. Doctor also tips Sami Välimäki to win the Danish Golf Championship at 35–1, citing improved iron play and consistent driving and putting. “Pentecostal historians have always acknowledged the miraculous stories accompanying the Azusa Street revival as an integral part of the Pentecostal experience,” writes Ruthie Edgerly Oberg. “However, the pressing question is whether the dubious and exaggerated claims of [author Tommy] Welchel will overshadow the genuine stories of ordinary men and women transformed by the Spirit, who carried the Pentecostal message into towns, cities, and nations, sparking a global movement.” In this episode of the Influence Podcast, I talk to Oberg about numerous problems with the histories of the Azusa Street Revival authored by Tommy Welchel. I'm George P. Wood, executive editor of Influence magazine and your host. Ruthie Edgerly Oberg is an ordained Assemblies of God minister and a conference speaker for the Flower Pentecostal Heritage Center in Springfield, Missouri. Our conversation is based on an academic paper Oberg presented at the 53rdAnnual Meeting of the Society for Pentecostal Studies, which was titled, “The Mythologizing of Pentecostal History.” ————— This episode of the Influence Podcast is brought to you by My Healthy Church, distributors of The Creator's Wheel by Rick DuBose, coming out from Chosen Books on February 11. Our world demands faster speeds, quicker deliveries. We want change now, transformation in a moment. But God, who spoke galaxies into existence with a single word, took seven days to bring about His full and magnificent creation — and He takes His time with us. In The Creator's Wheel, Rick DuBose shows how, just as God reached into that dark and chaotic mess to form space and time, He reaches into the mess of our lives, initiating a process that transforms us into masterpieces.

A serious addiction was sending Michelle Oberg to an early grave. But it wasn't an addiction to drugs or alcohol. Even though she was substantially overweight, Michelle just could not stop eating pizza. It may seem puzzling to mention pizza in the same breath as cocaine or whiskey, but for Michelle Oberg the addiction had it hooks in as deep as any that would traditionally send a person to rehab. The result of her out of control eating was a heinously inflamed body that was struggling to function. Her triglycerides and c-peptide levels were incomprehensibly high. Meanwhile, migraine headaches had become all too common along with painful gout flareups. At the same time her weight was spiraling out of control. Despite growing sicker and heavier every day she still couldn't say no to pizza. Then she finally hit rock bottom and began to climb out of a dark hole and began breaking the chains of addiction and shedding the pounds that had been holding her back. In an extraordinary story of what is possible, Michelle shares her journey of resilience with fellow food addict Chuck Carroll on The Exam Room Podcast. She found strength and success after she began to eat a plant-based diet. And today she is thriving. Her goal is to inspire others struggling with demons to dig deep and make the change as well. Key points discussed include: Personal journey: Michelle recounts her history with food addiction and how it intensified during the COVID-19 pandemic. She discusses her initial struggles with giving up pizza and the support she found in an online group for food addiction. Transition to a vegan diet: As she worked on her food addiction, Michelle began to explore veganism and whole food plant-based diets. She describes how she replaced pizza with healthier options like chickpea curry and salads. Compassion and self-love: Michelle reflects on how she finds it easier to have compassion for others than for herself, and how this realization has been part of her healing journey. Motivations: Michelle shares her family history of health issues, including heart disease and Alzheimer's, which motivates her to continue making healthier choices. She wants to break the cycle of diseases in her family. Ongoing journey: Michelle acknowledges that she still has about 30 pounds to lose and emphasizes the importance of making informed dietary choices. She discusses her favorite foods and healthy habits that she has adopted, such as preparing a specific salad dressing regularly. — — SHOW LINKS — — Michelle Oberg IG: https://www.instagram.com/pizza_addict_to_vegan Website: https://pizzaaddicttovegan.blog — — EVENTS — — Dr. Bulsiewicz and Chuck in Miami Where: Dr. Barnard's Bon Voyage Bash Date: March 7, 2025 https://www.pcrm.org/events/bon-voyage-party-2025 — — — Free Athlete Nutrition E-Book https://www.pcrm.org/athlete — — BECOME AN EXAM ROOM VIP — — https://www.pcrm.org/examroomvip — — THIS IS US — — The Exam Room Podcast Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/theexamroompodcast — — — Chuck Carroll Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/ChuckCarrollWLC Facebook: http://wghtloss.cc/ChuckFacebook X: https://www.twitter.com/ChuckCarrollWLC — — — Physicians Committee Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/physicianscommittee Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/PCRM.org X: https://www.twitter.com/pcrm YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/user/PCRM Jobs: https://www.pcrm.org/careers — — SUBSCRIBE & SHARE — — 5-Star Success: Share Your Story Apple: https://apple.co/2JXBkpy Spotify: https://spoti.fi/2pMLoY3 Please subscribe and give the show a 5-star rating on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or many other podcast providers. In this week's episode of Every Rockie Ever, Skyler and Dustin convened on a snow day to chat former players that currently work as coaches in the Rockies system. Recently, the Rockies hired former catcher Dustin Garneau as the major league bullpen coach. Despite a career that didn't flourish at the plate, Garneau has been known for solid defense and his work as catching coordinator/game planner for the minor league system the past two years presents some hope for the team's young bullpen. They then turn focus to fan favorite and 2018 Wild Card game hero Tony Wolters. Wolters joined the organization as the bench coach for the ACL Rockies in 2024, and the brothers break down his excellent work behind the plate working with pitches, lamenting that his offense never took off, and getting to the root of why he had the nickname Papers. Finally, they close things out mourning what could have been for current Rockies special assistant Scott Oberg. As Oberg was growing into prominence as a reliever, a recurring blood clot issue in his arm forced an early retirement from baseball, robbing both Oberg and fans of the high-quality reliever he was becoming. Still, there are wonderful moments to celebrate, like his role in closing out the 2018 Wild Card victory over the Cubs. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Today on the show we have Emmanuel Oberg. Emmanuel is a screenwriter, author and script consultant with more than twenty years of experience in the Film and TV industry. After selling his first project to Warner Bros as a co-writer, he went on to be commissioned by StudioCanal and Gold Circle before writing solo for Working Title / Universal and Film4.He has also designed an internationally acclaimed 3-day Advanced Development Workshop - based on the Story-Type Method® - which he delivers with passion to filmmakers all over the world. Emmanuel lives in the UK with his wife and their two daughters. His film agent is Rachel Holroyd at Casarotto in London. He is also the writer of Screenwriting Unchained: Reclaim Your Creative Freedom and Master Story Structure (With The Story-Type Method). In Screenwriting Unchained, Emmanuel Oberg busts many myths and sets out an innovative methodThis practical, no-nonsense guide leaves behind one-size-fits-all story theories and offers a modern approach to story structure, making it a precious resource for anyone involved creatively in the Film and TV industry (or aspiring to be): writers, directors, producers, development execs, showrunners and, more generally, storytellers keen to reach a wide audience at home and abroad.Having identified three main story-types - plot-led, character-led, theme-led - Oberg reveals in a clear, conversational style how each of these impacts on the structure of any screenplay, and how we can use a single set of tools to develop any movie, from an independent crossover to a studio blockbuster. This leads to a powerful yet flexible way to handle the script development process: the Story-Type Method®. A new framework that doesn't tell you what to write and when, but focuses instead on why some tools and principles have stood the test of time and how to use them in the 21st century.According to readers (see reviews below), Oberg's new approach is a game-changer.Here are some of the easy-to-understand concepts explored in Screenwriting Unchained that will help you improve any screenplay:How to identify the story-type of your project to make its development faster, easier and solve most story structure problems. How to leave behind the prescriptive, logistical three-act structure based on page numbers or minutes and replace it with a flexible, dramatic three-act structure that will help you design a rock-solid screenplay. How focusing on emotion, character development and managing information will allow you to go beyond the "protagonist-goal-obstacles-conflict" basic chain of drama. How to use the fractal aspect of structure to design not only the whole story but also its parts in order to avoid the dreaded "sagging middle" syndrome and breathe new life into your script. How to clarify what's at stake and increase your chances of getting the project made with a new take on Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs. How to use subgoals to Sequence the Action and psychological/emotional steps to Sequence the Evolution of your characters. How to keep the audience engaged using tools like dramatic irony, surprise, mystery, and suspense, adding a third dimension to your story. How to master these tools and principles in scenes through practical exercises before using them in a short film, a feature film, a TV episode or a whole series following hands-on tips and advice. How to design an attention-grabbing opening and a satisfying ending. How to deal with hybrids and exceptions, as story structure isn't about forcing all narratives into a single formulaic paradigm. The Rewrite Stuff: 12 Ways to a Stronger Screenplay, how to approach a new draft creatively and efficiently. How to make the difference between selling documents - used to raise development or production finance - and story design tools.Once you've developed a killer script, how to best pitch your project according to its story-type and get enthusiastic partners on board....and much, much more!Using many case studies including films as diverse as Gravity, Silver Linings Playbook, Crash, Billy Elliot, The Intouchables, Birdman, Alien, Groundhog Day, Misery, Edge of Tomorrow, The Secret in Their Eyes, Cloud Atlas, L.A. Confidential and The Lives of Others, Screenwriting Unchainedwill transform the way you write, read, pitch, design, assess and develop screenplays.Enjoy my conversation with Emmanuel Oberg.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/indie-film-hustle-a-filmmaking-podcast--2664729/support.

My special guest is L.A. Marzulli who's here to discuss what he thinks the alien phenomena really is and why everyone should be worried. This book exposes the UFO phenomena, alien abductions, cattle mutilations, alien implants, and direct contact. It postulates that these are interdimensional beings not entities from another planet. It further exposes what may be the coming great deception as prophesied in the Bible. Some sightings involving astronauts or NASA include: During the Gemini 4 mission, pilot Jim McDivitt spotted an object that he described as a "white cylindrical shape with a white pole sticking out of one corner of it." He took two pictures of it. His partner, Ed White, was asleep at the time.[5] McDivitt maintains that it was some unknown but man-made piece of debris, while James Oberg argues that it was most likely the Titan II second stage of the craft.[6] In a transcript of Gemini 7 mission, the astronauts mention a "bogey" which ufologists have claimed was a reference to a UFO.[7] Oberg, based on his trajectory analysis of the mission, describes the astronauts' comments about a "bogey" as referring to booster-associated debris, and not a reference to some sort of UFO.[8] The astronaut who made the comments, Frank Borman, later confirmed that what he saw was not a UFO, and that when he offered to go on the television show Unsolved Mysteries to clarify, the producers told him, "Well, I'm not sure we want you on the program."[7] Within the UFO community, stories have spread that Neil Armstrong was reported to have witnessed multiple UFOs during Apollo 11.[9] An explanation was that the sightings could have been attributed to jettisoned components. Additional stories were accredited to a hoax spread by science fiction writer Otto Binder.[1] Buzz Aldrin says his words were taken out of context from an interview in 2005 about the incident.[3] During a 2005 spacewalk outside the International Space Station, astronaut Leroy Chiao reported seeing lights in a formation he described as "in a line" and "almost like an upside-down check mark".[4] The incident was promoted as a possible UFO sighting in the television series Are We Alone?.[4]Chiao later identified the lights as being from fishing boats "hundreds of miles below".[4] In August 2013, according to NASA TV, astronaut Christopher Cassidy saw a UFO float past the International Space Station near its Progress 52 cargo ship.[10] It was soon identified by Russian flight controllers as an antenna cover from the Zvezda service module.[10] On August 19, 2020, Cosmonaut Ivan Vagner posted a video on Twitter featuring UFOs on a time lapse he recorded of the Aurora Australis. Vagner dubbed the objects "space guests" with Roscosmos quote tweeting Vagner to say “An interesting and at the same time mysterious video made by the cosmonaut of Roscosmos Ivan Wagner from the International Space Station.”Follow Our Other ShowsFollow UFO WitnessesFollow Crime Watch WeeklyFollow Paranormal FearsFollow Seven: Disturbing Chronicle StoriesJoin our Patreon for ad-free listening and more bonus content.Follow us on Instagram @mysteriousradioFollow us on TikTok mysteriousradioTikTok Follow us on Twitter @mysteriousradio Follow us on Pinterest pinterest.com/mysteriousradio Like us on Facebook Facebook.com/mysteriousradio

Angie Oberg, an educator from Minden, Nebraska, is a traveler, concert-goer, reader, thinker, and educator with over 30 years of experience. Her teaching journey evolved from traditional lectures to fostering critical thinking. She emphasizes process over results, encouraging students to ask questions and engage in group discussions. Angie's Back Shelf Library initiative boosted student engagement in reading, allowing them to choose from a diverse collection of young adult novels. Her classroom promotes student agency, growth, and a love for learning, emphasizing curiosity and exploration over data-driven metrics. As she nears retirement, Angie hopes more educators can provide students with personalized, nurturing learning experiences that inspire curiosity and self-discovery.
1991's Black Robe is probably a movie you've never heard of, but maybe you should. It's one of the rare films that travel back to 17th Century New France to allow us to witness interactions between Indigenous communities and Jesuit missionaries. I watched this film in college and it made an impression on me. So I asked Michael Oberg to come on the pod to talk not only about this film but about how to teach this film as well as point out the complicated relationships between people during the era. This is maybe a bit more cerebral episode than some of the others, and I hope you like it.About our guest:Michael Leroy Oberg, the author of Native America, is Distinguished Professor of History at SUNY-Geneseo and founder of the Geneseo Center for Local and Municipal History, which he directed from 2019 until 2022. In addition to this textbook, he has written the following works: Dominion and Civility: English Imperialism and Native America, 1585-1685 (Ithaca: Cornell University Press, 1999); Uncas: First of the Mohegans, (Ithaca: Cornell University Press, 2003); Samuel Wiseman's Book of Record: The Official Account of Bacon's Rebellion in Virginia, (Lanham: Lexington Books, 2005); The Head in Edward Nugent's Hand: Roanoke's Forgotten Indians, (Philadelphia: University of Pennsylvania Press, 2007); the first edition of Native America; Professional Indian: Eleazer Williams's American Odyssey, (Philadelphia: University of Pennsylvania Press, 2015); and Peacemakers: The Iroquois, the United States, and the Treaty of Canandaigua, 1794, (New York: Oxford University Press, 2015). He has published, as well, articles and reviews, and has worked as a historical consultant for native communities in New York and North Carolina, as well as for the Indian Resources Section of the United States Department of Justice. He has won awards for his teaching and research in Montana and in New York, including the SUNY Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Teaching.
Emily Oberg, founder and owner of the 5-year-old wellness-based brand Sporty & Rich, wants to change the definition of success. "Never not working isn't cool. … You don't need to have a crazy work schedule, where you feel like you can't keep up, [in order] to be successful," Oberg said on the latest episode of the Glossy Podcast. "At one point, that was the definition of success, but it's changing. And I want to be part of that change." After starting her career in streetwear, working as a video personality at Complex before heading up womenswear at Kith, Oberg saw the opportunity to build an owned brand based on the success of her mood-board-style Instagram account, Sporty & Rich. She co-founded the brand as it stands in 2018. It has since earned fans including Hailey Bieber, collaborated with brands like Adidas, opened an experiential store in NYC's SoHo neighborhood and reached $30 million in annual revenue. Along with building Sporty & Rich to a $200 million brand, Oberg has big plans for its future. "It's my vision to make a Sporty & Rich country club, where you have everything: colonics, your naturopath, you can do your blood work, you can do your tennis lessons, you can go to the pool, you can see your trainer, you can do a Pilates class," she said. "It would take a lot of resources and a lot of investment, but I hope to have these in every major city. That's [a place] where I'd want to spend my time."
