Two Minds, One Body - Phil Collins Scoring an Alternate Earth Tarzan Where Jane is a Yeerk -- Audiomorphs is an Animorphs podcast which is actually not so much a podcast as a bootleg Animorphs audiobook. Releases every Friday. Visit https://www.theapodcalypse.com/ Twitter: @audiomorphs
The complete audiobook is available for purchase at Audible.com: https://n9.cl/zx94t Dark of the Moon By Sara Teasdale Read by Martha H. Weller Dark of the Moon was first published in 1926. Its 92 poems are divided into 9 sections: There Will be Stars; Pictures of Autumn; Sand Drift; Portraits; Midsummer Nights; The Crystal Gazer; Berkshire Notes; Arcturus in Autumn; and The Flight. Teasdale repeatedly expresses the joy, wonder and freedom she feels when she is immersed in nature. Yet nature is not sufficient. She yearns for love and the rapture of “Two Minds” who have “freed themselves from cautious human clay.” Many of the poems in this collection are tied to specific places. In “Late October (Bois de Boulogne)”, Teasdale, in the space of eight lines of verse, evokes the sounds of her surroundings and recognizes the wisdom of being both present in and attentive to the passage of time, represented by “autumn.” The poet returns often to the theme of autumn, both in the seasonal sense and in her own personal autumn. There are regrets and longings, but she also wants people to know that she has loved her life and honors the memory of those whom she has loved.

Does a win over Southampton help set the team on the right track with Gary O'Neil or is it delaying the inevitable of a possible managerial change? Plus, Christmas decor protocols, third kits and regrettable decisions... --- Follow the show on X @wlwpod, on YouTube @WholeLottaWolves and on Facebook. A common human struggle is when we find ourselves in two minds about a situation or event. This most commonly happens when we are facing a choice between two (or more) options that are far from perfect. Over the course of the last number of months I have been hearing from my clients and students about a different type of "being of two minds". Instead of being caught between two options, they are caught between two emotions. In these conversations we have come to the realization that the best course of action is not to choose one of these emotions because that means denying our humanity. This week in the podcast we explore what it means to be of two minds emotionally, and how we can tap to support these moments. Support the podcast! It's understandable that you might be in two minds about eating disorder recovery. Part of you will be desperate for change. Another part of you might be terrified of letting go of the ed. Ultimately, an eating disorder is a coping strategy for deeper issues. It might feel as though it's all about food, when in fact, it may be offering safety, numbing of feelings, identity and purpose. In this episode, I explore how to work through ambivalence and improve motivation for change. I hope that you find it helpful. Do you feel confused about whether you want to stop drinking or not? Do you have a sense that alcohol is holding you back in some way but you also find it hard to see a life without it? In this week's episode of The Alcohol ReThink podcast, I'm coaching Andy, who wants one thing and finds himself doing another. Andy came into this session feeling confused about why he was stuck in a pattern of drinking and using more than he wanted to. Even though he was able to create stretches of not drinking and could see the benefits, he found himself repeating behaviours and was frustrated at himself. As we coach Andy noticed how dissatisfaction with his work was contributing to wanting to go out more to escape his dissatisfaction. This is a fantastic episode that helped Andy understand why he was doing what he was doing and how he could begin changing his relationship with alcohol. Listen to the end to hear Andy's lightbulb moment.
Strawberries are easy to transform into a dish that's like a gift. To kick them up a notch, marinate them with a drizzle of flavorful balsamic vinegar. After violence between pro-Israeli and pro-Palestinian sides broke out at UCLA overnight, two Dartmouth lecturers with differing views on the war offer a model for cooperation. The Department of Justice proposed making cannabis a Schedule 3 drug, acknowledging after decades of illicit use that it has medical value and a lower risk for abuse. It's currently Schedule 1, along with heroin. The daughter of late film critic Gene Siskel is out with a new poetry book, “Two Minds,” about grief and the sudden death of her father when she was 12 years old.
Author Callie Siskel joins Rick Kogan to talk about and read from her book, “Two Minds,” and preview her appearance at 7 p.m. Friday at the Book Cellar.
Ambivalence is a tough concept when it comes to decision-making. On the one hand, when people have ambivalence but haven't explored why they are ambivalent, they are prone to bad, value-incongruent decisions. On the other hand, acknowledging and exploring ambivalence may lead to better, more ethical, and less biased decisions. On today's podcast, Joshua Briscoe, Bryanna Moore, Jennifer Blumenthal-Barby, and Olubukunola Dwyer discuss the challenges of ambivalence and ways to address them. This podcast was initially sparked by Josh's “Note From a Family Meeting” Substack post titled “Ambivalence in Clinical Decision-Making,” which discussed Bryanna's and Jenny's 2022 article titled “Two Minds, One Patient: Clearing up Confusion About Ambivalence." Bryanna's and Jenny's article is particularly unique as it discusses these “ambivalent-related phenomena” and that these different kinds of “ambivalence” may call for different approaches with patients, surrogates (and health care providers): In addition to defining these “ambivalent related phenomena” we ask our guests to cover some of these topics: Is ambivalence good, bad, or just a normal part of decision-making? Does being ambivalent mean you don't care about the decision? What should we be more worried about in decision-making, ambivalence or the lack thereof? The concern about resolving ambivalence too quickly, as it might rush past important work that needs to be done to make a good decision. What about ambivalence on the part of the provider? How should we think about that? How do you resolve ambivalence? Lastly, the one takeaway point from this podcast is that the next time I see ambiguity (or have it myself), I should ask the following question: “I see you are struggling with this decision. Tell me how you are feeling about it.”

Dennis reflects on difficult times in which we live. On the hand, things looks bleak, especially when so much suffering is so unnecessary. On the other hand, we are blessed to live in this country at this time. When in history is life not a struggle between good and evil?... Dennis talks to Elijah Nixey-Paton, PragerFORCE Member in the United Kingdom. How many women consider themselves to be attractive? Or are almost all women hypercritical of the way they look? If so, why? Dennis has thoughts. So do callers. Men who pretend to be women are now regularly being named “Woman of the Year.” Isn't this a deep insult to women?... Why do those on the left have such faith in the “wisdom” of young people? Since when did young people become wise? Thanks for listening to the Daily Dennis Prager Podcast. The day has come that Arsenal is no longer undefeated. They are still on top of the table. There were some tactical questions today, and the team got caught on the counter. These were some problems that they faced, but the refs were absolutely trash. Fouls called and not called played into the storyline. We talk Sambi and Ode today. What did you think about Viera? Team spirit, intensity, and class were all on display as the Gunners win their 5th match in a row 2-1 against Aston Villa. Are we nervous about the midfield injuries? Do we trust Lokonga? What an exciting time at The Emirates! The crowd was so loud, and the team responded. Fulham was outmatched but held strong. Until the late winner from Gabriel. We agreed on MOM this week. The day has come that Arsenal is now the sole owners of 1st place in the Premier League. There's a man named Jesus that is setting a tone from the front. His countryman is leading that charge as well. Ode was fabulous with 2. And a wonder kid with a wonder goal. Saliba had his name chanted so often that when he responded……silence is what you heard. More praise to spread around and the last question has a new tone. Can Arsenal finish….. Thanks for listening. Please share and follow. In this episode, we talk about Permissive or Indirect Language or The Milton Model. Indirect language or permissive language it is called sometimes is vaguely worded communication designed to bypass the conscious mind and speak to the unconscious. Phrases of permissive language or the Milton Model are often used to soften communication. Instead of using direct, authoritarian language, such as, "Do this report by Monday," the speaker might say, "Would it be possible to have this report to me by Monday." The advantage of this type of communication is that is it more likely to maintain rapport, form symmetrical relationships rather than authoritarian ones, and lessen resistance on the part of the listener. The discussion includes:1. What is permissive or indirect suggestions? 2. What is the difference between permissive language and direct language? 3. How do you use permissive suggestions? 4. Is permissive language manipulative?
