ON AIR je talk show hudebního publicisty Pavla Kučery s hudebníky a lidmi z hudební branže. Nový díl je uveřejněn každý týden na YouTube kanálu kytary.cz.

On episode 15 of Platform Builders, Christine Spang and Isaac Nassimi sit down with Amrit Dhangal. Together, they explore his journey building Acquire from a scrappy live chat tool to a venture-backed customer service platform. Amrit reflects on scaling challenges, personal sacrifices as an immigrant founder, and the lessons he's carrying into his new company, Aero.
On this episode of the Scouting For Growth podcast, Sabine VdL talks to Amit Santhirasenan, co-founder and CEO of hyperexponential, an actuary and software engineer who has built the AI native pricing and underwriting platform used by leading specialty carriers. In this episode we cover how to turn messy submissions into structured signals your pricing model can trust – without hiring an army, multi agent architectures, the agentic AI mesh, and the human in the loop controls executives need for auditability and speed, and where agentic underwriting is ready today (and where it isn't), plus the metrics executives should track—cycle time, hit ratio, and loss ratio uplift. KEY TAKEAWAYS Email submissions were a luxury at the start of my career! What's been so exciting for me, as a self-professed nerd, is the pace at which the capabilities of core models have got so good that even 6 months ago was a whole product's capability and feature set is now within the gift of Gemini or GPT5. If you're an underwriter filling out a spreadsheet/renew model, in 2025 you need to be working with hx underwriting , actuary or agent inside a renew model to have your paired partner helping you get to the best result. Why can't you have deep risk research on every single risk? Why can't you say: Tell me the most important characteristics in the world that you can tell me about the top 3 exposures? No human can do this work, the cost/benefit trade off there isn't economic, but you can run an OpenAI deep risk API call to do that on every single risk you underwrite today. We do it for you, it's what we do. All of a sudden it's dramatically easier to bring that level of differentiation and specialism in the way that great underwriting has always been done to every single risk you want to touch. BEST MOMENTS ‘You won't see that many places with a $7 trillion contribution to GDP, with such a small number of companies and people responsible for this.' ‘We demonstrated the first API machine vision algorithm in the market in 2017, now kids coming out of university are doing that as toy projects before they get to our clients.' ‘You can have an army of digital agents helping you now, all for $20 per month!' ‘Generative AI models have unlocked the ability to pull data so quickly out of the information required for underwrite that you can put a very quick red/amber/green status on risks, several orders of magnitude greater than ever before.' ABOUT THE GUESTS Amit Santhirasenan is the Co-founder and CEO of Hyperexponential (hx), the AI native pricing and underwriting platform for P&C insurers. Under his leadership, hx Renew has become known for delivering executive level outcomes: ~50% faster submission to bind, 10× faster model build and deployment, and a platform that supports $45bn+ in GWP for 20+ enterprise customers worldwide. A qualified actuary and computer scientist, Amrit previously spent over a decade in the London Market. He served as Head of Pricing & Analytics at Tokio Marine Kiln, building the managing agent's first technical pricing team to support ~£1.5bn GWP, and earlier held actuarial roles at Catlin (including standing up the Canadian actuarial function). ABOUT THE HOST Sabine is a corporate strategist turned entrepreneur. She is the CEO and Managing Partner of Alchemy Crew a venture lab that accelerates the curation, validation, & commercialization of new tech business models. Interviews with pioneers in business and social impact - Business Fights Poverty Spotlight
In this episode, we sit down with Social Impact Pioneer, social entrepreneur and purposeful leader - Amrit Dhaliwal. As CEO of Walfinch, one of the UK's leading home care franchise networks, Amrit is on a mission to redefine both franchising and social care—bringing innovation, purpose, and people-first values into sectors too often driven solely by margins. Tune in for an introduction to leading with purpose—both for people and for businesses. If you're ready to discover what it takes to be a truly values-driven leader, this is where to start. From transforming an Italian deli into an award-winning restaurant to founding Walfinch in 2019, Amrit's entrepreneurial journey is rooted in spotting inefficiencies and building better systems. Today, under his leadership, Walfinch is rapidly expanding and on course to become a £20 million network, with multiple franchisees expected to reach £1 million turnover within their first three years. His success, however, is not measured by profit alone. Amrit is committed to blending commercial growth with meaningful social impact, ensuring older adults receive exceptional care while franchisees thrive. In a wide-ranging conversation, Amrit shares his philosophy on values-based leadership, the importance of instilling company culture at every level, and why business success is inseparable from purpose. Drawing on influences such as Daniel Pink's Drive, John Maxwell's Five Levels of Leadership, and Gino Wickman's Traction, he offers practical insights into scaling a purpose-led business in a regulated industry. We also explore the pressing challenges facing the UK's care system, the balance between profit and purpose, and how leaders can resist the pressure for growth-at-all-costs by staying true to their vision. Whether you are an aspiring entrepreneur, a franchisee, or simply curious about the future of social care, this conversation offers timely lessons on resilience, strategy, and building businesses that last. Join us as Amrit Dhaliwal explains why redefining home care is not just a business model but a social mission—one that could shape the future of care in Britain and beyond. The BCCI has grown from strength to strength in the past couple of decades to become the strongest cricketing board in the world, also aided by the riches brought to it by the success of the Indian Premier League. High astigmatism in pediatrics is one of the most common challenges optometrists face in the exam room. In this Case Reflection episode, Amrit walks through a case where she approached a young patient's high astigmatism in a way that went beyond the standard playbook.Instead of reaching straight for a full cycloplegic refraction and prescribing the high numbers, we undercorrected strategically and focused on the binocular vision issue driving the child's visual symptoms. The result? The child's acuity improved, their visual system developed more efficiently, and they didn't have to rely on an unnecessarily high refractive error. In this episode, we explore why high astigmatism often shows up in pediatric exams, talk about the limitations of relying only on cycloplegia, and share how functional prescribing and binocular vision treatment can transform outcomes. If you've ever wondered how to manage high pediatric prescriptions in a way that supports long-term visual development rather than just clearing up the chart, this is an episode you don't want to miss! You can learn more from the following resources: Lens Power in Action by Robert Kraskin Optometric Management of Nearpoint Vision Disorders by Martin H. Create Tomorrow podcast host Cassandra Napoli invites co-founders of motherhood platform Spread the Jelly, Amrit Tietz and Lauren Levinger, to discuss the complexities of modern motherhood. From maternal ambivalence and tradwife to navigating identity, they expose the stickiness of how societal expectations have shifted from the 1950s to today. Amrit and Lauren discuss social media's unrealistic standards, the impact of technology on parenting and the importance of community and solidarity among women across generations. Listen in on the challenges and joys of being a woman and a mother in the digital age, uncovering the nuanced realities behind the curated images of perfection.
Amrit Tietz is an international DJ and co-founder of the modern motherhood platform Spread the Jelly. Although she initially set out to study economics, Tietz dropped out of college, unbeknownst to her parents, to pursue a path she was more passionate about: music. She auditioned multiple times for the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts, a music conservatory, before being accepted into the musical theater program. During her time there, she collected jazz units and switched to a music performance degree while also learning how to DJ on the side. Tietz moved to New York City after graduating and worked various jobs—from waitressing to retail—while taking DJ gigs to build her network. She eventually landed a full-time role at Starworks Agency, advancing from executive assistant to director of talent and engagement. After nearly six years at the ad agency, Tietz decided to take her DJing career full-time, successfully leaping from managing talent to becoming the talent herself. She has since toured globally, performed for iconic names like Dior and Vogue, and had her original music featured in HBO and Apple TV+ productions. While Tietz continues to DJ—and did so even while seven months pregnant—she recently moved into a new space with Spread the Jelly, an independent online platform redefining the narrative around modern motherhood. She and her co-founder, Lauren Levinger, launched the platform as a space for mothers to tell their diverse stories more authentically, build community, and “embrace the sticky” parts of motherhood together.
