Most founders pitch VCs without understanding the math that decides their fate, and Amrit Chandan learned this the hard way after raising $19M for his battery startup Aceleron and losing it to a 24-hour boardroom ultimatum. This conversation breaks down the UK venture capital trap, the cap table mistakes that cost founders their companies, and the playbook he is using to build his next AI startup Lorefully to profitability with zero VC. A Forbes 30 Under 30 climate tech founder whose family migrated from India to Kenya to the UK, Amrit Chandan co-founded Aceleron in 2016 to build the world's first serviceable lithium-ion battery, raising over $19M from Toyota Mobility 54, Mercia, and BGF across seven years before being forced out as CEO in June 2022. Aceleron entered administration in September 2023 and was acquired by Pune-based Advik Hi-Tech in April 2024, after which Amrit co-founded Lorefully, an AI knowledge intelligence platform that captures expert conversations at live events. The platform has captured 5.5 million words of expert knowledge in five months, runs with just six people, has taken zero institutional VC, and is on track for £500K in revenue and profitability this quarter. In this conversation with host Akshay Datt, Amrit unpacks why UK venture capital structurally takes too much founder equity too early, the 24-hour ultimatum that ended his first company, why first-time hardware founders should license their IP instead of manufacturing, and how a free booth at InstallerSHOW unlocked £400K for the organiser and saved his second startup. The episode lands at a moment when European VC dilution dynamics and the climate tech funding squeeze are pushing more Indian founders to rethink the institutional capital playbook.

From the dancefloor to wearing full Bana 24/7; Dharmveer Singh's journey to Sikhi is one of the most honest, inspiring and relatable stories we've ever heard on this podcast. Born and bred in Edinburgh, Scotland, Dharmveer grew up in a typical Punjabi household, Gurdwara on Sundays, meat on the table, and clubs on the weekends. But something was pulling him in a different direction. A cousin's invitation to a Rehras Sahib class, a moment in a nightclub mirror, and a heart attack at just 38 years old all became turning points on a path that would lead him to Amrit, full Bana, and a life devoted to Waheguru. This is a conversation about faith, identity, family pressure, and what it really means to live as a Gursikh in today's world, told with complete honesty, warmth, and a healthy dose of Scottish humour.IN THIS EPISODE WE COVER: 0:00 Key Moments 2:28 Introduction 6:56 Dharmveer Singh's Background: Growing Up Sikh in Scotland 8:57 Previous Lifestyle: Clubbing & Dancing to Hip-Hop 10:07 Dancing in a Bhangra Music Video on Arthur's Seat 11:19 Drinking & Peer Pressure: Being Transparent 13:17 His Father's Influence: The Principles That Kept Him Grounded 15:07 Keeping His Kes: The Moustache Biting Story 17:12 The Turning Point: A Cousin's Invitation 18:53 Discovering Rehras Sahib: The Sounds That Hit His Soul 20:21 Becoming Vegetarian: A Quiet Sign from Waheguru 24:43 What the Rehras Sahib Classes Really Meant 26:32 Bhatt Sikh Heritage: Who Are the Bhatts & Their Contribution to Gurbani 31:22 Exploring the Path of Sikhi: Karpan, Chola & Walking Out of the Club 41:07 Clubbing & Sikhi: The Mirror Moment That Changed Everything 44:31 Sikhi Is a Journey, Not a Race (Sahaj Pakke So Meetha) 49:40 The Road to Amrit: Being Told He Couldn't Take It Alone 53:57 Love in Sikhi: What Keeps Him in Chardi Kala 58:35 Challenges & Backlash: Being Pulled Off Stage 1:02:19 Wearing Bana 24/7: Job Interview in Full Bana & the Kirpan at Work 1:08:16 Spreading Sikhi: Schools, Police Stations & the Shetland Islands 1:13:13 The Impact of Sikhi: Becoming a Better Version of Himself 1:15:41 Advice for Those Earlier on Their Sikhi Journey 1:18:48 Struggling Through COVID: Losing Sangat & the Gurdwara Closing 1:20:51 Heart Attack at 38 & the Weight Loss Journey 1:27:14 Final Message: Stay in Chardi Kala 1:31:54 Quick Fire Round 1:37:40 Word from the Previous Guest: Shanti 1:38:28 Conclusion If this episode inspired you, please share it with someone who needs to hear it. The veil is lifting — and Alexandre Tannous believes humanity has entered one of the biggest transitions in our history. In this conversation, the ethnomusicologist, composer, and conductor explains the threshold of 144,000 awakened souls, the parasitic force he sees plaguing the modern mind, and why discernment has become the most important skill of our time.Moving beyond superficial views of "sound healing," Alexandre breaks down how the physics of acoustics and the vocal tract serve as a bridge to the Logos — the universal ordering principle. He unpacks the true meaning of the primordial mantra Aum, defining it through the physical mechanics of the mouth as an inner temple rather than just a mystical word.Contrasting Gnosis (experiential heart knowledge) with Episteme (intellectual logic), he shows how quantum physics and non-local consciousness are affirming what ancient mystery schools always knew. Navigating what he identifies as a literal "apocalypse" — the unveiling of truth — Tannous emphasises the power of intentional language to shift the noise-to-signal ratio of our lives. He closes with metacognition and narrative therapy as tools to move past trauma, step outside the default mode network, and activate the true inner healer within each of us.___

Welcome to Our Ram Dass Series: The visionary musician and guide East Forest reveals the profound intersection of sound, psychedelic ceremony, and our modern spiritual emergency—and why music is the essential "technology" for navigating the depths of consciousness and inner transformation.East Forest explores the "architecture" of the inner journey, explaining how intentional soundscapes can amplify healing and bridge the gap between our daily lives and the sacred. He discusses his deep collaboration with Ram Dass, the role of plant medicine in modern healing, and why the "real work" of shifting our world begins in the privacy of the human heart. He reminds us that in a time of "information sickness," reclaiming our own consciousness is the most revolutionary act we can perform. If this conversation resonates, you don't have to navigate these shifts in consciousness alone. The process of inner integration and finding your unique path through this spiritual emergency affects EACH PERSON DIFFERENTLY.

Amrit Dhaliwal bought into the franchise dream—turnkey business, proven system, guaranteed support. She got none of that. Her first franchise left her struggling with "entrepreneurial poverty": owning a business but barely surviving. So she built Goldfinch differently. Her home care franchise rejects half its applicants, provides real coaching, and goes fully digital in a paper-obsessed industry. The mission? Help franchisees actually thrive, not just survive. Goldfinch's "Time to Thrive" philosophy extends to clients, too. Through Thrive Clubs offering yoga and art classes, they're redefining aging as opportunity, not decline. Dhaliwal's advice for entrepreneurs: Make purpose your filter for every decision. Growth without alignment isn't success—it's just noise.

For Valentines Day we switch it up for the Love Trap and We give you the Reverse Love Trap. Jason and Monica & Amrit and Collette.
Kelly-Marie Kerr — visionary author and researcher of biblical physiology — reveals the profound "alchemy of ascension" hidden within the human body. By decoding ancient scriptures through the lens of anatomy, she shares how to break the seven seals of biological blockage, activate your endocrine system, and master the regenerative pathway designed for your highest enlightenment. This isn't about waiting for an external event. It's about the internal unveiling—the literal "apocalypse" of your highest potential manifesting through your own biology.
2026 is humanity's "activation phase." Dallisa Hocking explains that the warm-up is over; now, radical accountability for our vibration is essential. As AI shifts our reality, we face a collective identity crisis that demands we shed corporate masks and stop being bystanders. By mastering the core energies of approval, control, and safety, we can replace fear with curiosity and navigate deep shifts in our relationships. This is the moment to move beyond old systems and step into heart-centered resonance and true soul embodiment. And while this moment is collective, how it shows up in your life is deeply personal.
2026 is not a normal year... In this conversation, Jim Self explains that the chaos we're witnessing is what happens when the old "third-dimensional game" of reality stops being sustainable. The collapse of duality and linear time are revisited as Jim reveals how a massive upgrade to our internal operating system is changing everything.A world built on guilt, authoritative control, and the shadows of the past eventually collapses as the light becomes too bright for the old structures to sustain themselves. What's being undone are the systems of a fading dimension—so a new way of living can emerge. One rooted in harmonic resonance, the power of the present moment, and the alchemy of higher consciousness. And while this moment is collective, how it shows up in your life is deeply personal.
2026 is not a normal year... In this conversation, Dr. Bruce Lipton explains why the turbulence we're witnessing is not random—it's the "crash mode" of an old civilization that has reached its biological and spiritual limit.According to him, we are in the midst of a metamorphosis. The old systems built on Darwinian competition and Newtonian materialism are falling apart so that a new, cooperative "butterfly" civilization can emerge. This is an evolutionary shift in energy and consciousness. And while the collapse is global, your role as an "imaginal cell" in this new world is deeply personal.
