Send us a textIt's as though along the way, through the generations the intentions that God had for His Black sons and daughters had been erased. Satan did his best to totally delete the true, God intended purpose of Black people. It was as though those things were forgotten in much the same way family ties and generational connections had been eradicated through slaves being separated from the mother land of Africa and from their families as slaves. But although teaching the Bible to the slaves and free Black people had an ulterior motive which was to keep them docile while still in bondage, we still learned to pray and pray much. We remembered how to cry out to God in a deep, meaningful and sincere way not just from our mouths but out of our spirits. And even though we had forgotten God, He had never forgotten us. He heard our cries and He answered. And God will answer now as He answered then during the Civil Rights era. The men and women of God, the people who met in the churches during the Civil Rights movements prayed. They may not have had the homiletics or dogma's but they prayed and prayed much. Never doubt for one minute that when Black people pray together, in agreement and on one accord, God moves! If we want justice, then pray! Pray and pray much! Cry out to the true and living God, not just from our mouths but from our spirits, not so that we can be like others but so that we can all have justice and be equal to all other races. Yes, I agree that we will not shop at the Walmarts, Sam's, Targets, Aldi's and many other stores but while we boycott and protest we must also pray and pray much. Israel wanted a king so that they could be like the nations around them. As we all know, Israel was a nation that was second to none but still they wanted to be like the others around them. Unfortunately, this is what has happened to many of the nations, the nationalities, races and ethnic groups here in the United States since integration. We've wanted to be not just equal to but also like those around us. That's not what our forefathers marched for. They didn't march so that we could be like this one or like that one, they marched so that we could have the same rights as everyone else, so that we could be treated as equals to everyone around us. Our forefathers marched for justice. They marched, were beaten, put in jail, had water hoses turned on them, had dogs to attack them and some were even killed so that we could be equal to every other race and ethnic group. They didn't suffer these atrocities so that we could be like others but rather so that we would be equal to others. We will not stop praying, believing or doing what's necessary to get the justice we are due and that includes boycotts which means not shopping at the stores or supporting the businesses that have done away with their DEI programs. The men and women of that time prayed! They met in the churches to plan their strategies and began their marches. And those marches always began with prayer. They knew that they weren't crying out to an unjust god, in fact, just the opposite. They were calling on the true and living God. They were calling on the God of Isaiah 33:22 where Isaiah said the Lord is our judge. They stood on the fact knowing that the Lord is our lawgiver and that the Lord is our king; it is he who will save us so therefore, in this day and age, at this time and slate, we must also be persistent, tenacious and unrelenting in our prayers day and night as those who marched were. The ones who marched and protested during those times knew the difference between those who were wicked, mean and ungodly from the true and living God who they knew would give us the justice that was due in spite of the beatings, arrests, attack dogs, water hoses and all the rest of the cruelties that were being inflicted on them. The U.S. Justice Department is pushing Boeing to plead guilty to criminal fraud in connection with two deadly plane crashes involving its 737 Max jetliners, according to several people who heard federal prosecutors detail a proposed offer Sunday. Boeing will have until the end of the coming week to accept or reject the offer, which includes the giant aerospace company agreeing to an independent monitor who would oversee its compliance with anti-fraud laws, they said. The case stems from the department's determination that Boeing violated an agreement that was intended to resolve a 2021 charge of conspiracy to defraud the U.S. government. Prosecutors alleged at the time that Boeing misled regulators who approved the 737 Max and set pilot-training requirements to fly the plane. The company blamed two relatively low-level employees for the fraud. The Justice Department told relatives of some of the 346 people who died in the 2018 and 2019 crashes about the plea offer during a video meeting. The family members, who want Boeing to face a criminal trial and to pay a $24.8 billion fine, reacted angrily. One said prosecutors were gaslighting the families; another shouted at them for several minutes when given a chance to speak.

In a recent episode of the popular podcast "Hidden Killers", host Tony Brueski sat down with forensic psychologist Kate Wallinga to discuss the chilling case of Zuberi. Known for his makeshift cell in his garage where a victim had previously managed to escape, leading to the police's discovery of his hideous secret, Zuberi's criminal tendencies have sent shockwaves throughout the community and country.    Wallinga began the discussion with a comparison to another notorious criminal, David Parker Ray, also known for his sinister captivity of women. Unlike Zuberi's rather simplistic two-point plan, Ray had extensively documented his dark fantasies. Wallinga jestingly remarked, "You're trying to be a killer," highlighting Zuberi's underdeveloped plans, suggesting perhaps an impulse-driven, amateur nature in comparison to Ray.   The narrative shifted as Wallinga shed light on Zuberi's abysmal impulse control, highlighted by an instance where he drove a woman seven hours only to be overwhelmed by his urges, leading to an early assault. Her analysis further revealed the dichotomy between high-functioning individuals in society, ones who lead seemingly normal lives with family and work, and those with notorious reputations. Zuberi's notorious nature was such that many refused to speak about him without the promise of anonymity, signifying the terror he instilled in the hearts of those around him. A particularly poignant moment was Wallinga's call for the public to act on suspicions of such individuals, especially when children are involved, saying, "It's not your job to be sure, it's your job to have an investigator investigate." The Department of Justice is saying it will not investigate who leaked the Supreme Court opinion on plans to end Roe v. Wade. This is as a wave of protests and violence has erupted, including threats made against Supreme Court justices and the online publishing of their home addresses.
