Alec Lewis, The Athletic's Minnesota Vikings beat writer, gives his thoughts on Sunday's Vikings-Jets game. He discusses Sam Darnold's performance, what Aaron Jones's injury means, the Stephon Gilmore signing and more to consider over the bye week.
Londra chiama, i Vikings rispondono.

Hour 2: Jacob deGrom didn't want to be a Met any longer and signed with the Texas Rangers. Gio doesn't blame the Mets for this at all. There are also a lot of rumors of Justin Verlander coming to the Mets to team with Max Scherzer. Boomer said the Mets will be over $300 million in salaries this season. Gio doesn't think so, saying Cohen didn't become a billionaire making bad business decisions. Jerry returns for an update and starts with the Vikings beating the Jets and the Giants and Commanders ending in a 20-20 tie. Brian Daboll talked about punting in OT instead of going for it. The Giants game felt like a loss but it wasn't. The Cowboys blew out the Colts. Jeff Saturday says they didn't quit, but Jerry disagrees. The 49'ers players seem to like their new QB, Brock Purdy. The Bengals beat the Chiefs for the third straight time. AJ Brown and the Eagles dominated the Titans. In the final segment of the hour, Gio watched Vikings/Jets at a Winters Bros event. A woman calls in who was there and calls her husband a ‘loser' for watching Boomer & Gio every day.
Hour 1: Boomer said a tie is actually good for the Giants. Gio will not say it's good, but of course it's better than a loss. We also talked about playoff scenarios regarding the Giants after this tie. Boomer said Mike White was just a little off on some key passes yesterday. Gio says if Braxton Berrios makes that catch we're talking about the 8-4 Jets. But he didn't and we're not. Gio didn't like the Jets play calling, especially in the first half. It was also evident from yesterday's game that the players can't stand Zach Wilson. Jerry starts with the Jets loss in Minnesota and plays the incomplete pass to Braxton Berrios in the end zone. Rob Saleh talked about the Jets battling and not quitting. Mike White said he wasn't good enough in the red zone. The Giants and Commanders tied 20-20. Brian Daboll and Daniel Jones talked about not winning or losing. The Cowboys scored 33 points in the 4th quarter and beat the Colts 54-19 on SNF. Brock Purdy talked about coming in to QB the Niners after Jimmy Garoppolo had a season ending injury. Jerry goes around the NFL and has sound from Deshaun Watson on his return to the NFL. deGrom leaves the Mets and signs with the Rangers. In the final segment of the hour, we talked about how long it took the Jets to get going in that game. They did nothing in the first half. A woman calls in who was there and calls her husband a ‘loser' for watching Boomer & Gio every day. Hour 3: Jimmy Garoppolo is done for the year so this is now Brock Purdy's team. The Niners also have Josh Johnson but will need another QB just in case. Jerry returns for an update and starts with the Vikings beating the Jets and the Giants and Niners ending in a 20-20 tie. Jimmy Garoppolo is out for the season and Brock Purdy is their new QB. Deion Sanders will be the new Head Coach at Colorado. In the final segment of the hour, guess the spread of Eagles/Giants and Jets/Bills for this week. Hour 4: Boomer said Daniel Jones played a good game yesterday as he was also their leading rusher. Brian Daboll has done a great job with this roster and the amount of injuries they have. We also took calls about Zach Wilson's future with the Jets. Jerry returns for an update but first Gio talks about playing in a cornhole tournament. Rob Saleh is proud the Jets didn't quit and fought their tails off. Mike White blames himself and not Braxton Berrios for the incomplete in the endzone. Daniel Jones is disappointed in a tie. The Cowboys scored 33 points in the fourth quarter to win 54-19. Brock Purdy is the new QB in San Francisco. Deion Sanders is excited to be in Colorado. Time for current players to go to the transfer portal. In the final segment of the show, we summed up the Jets loss in Minnesota and the Giants and Commanders ending in a tie.
