This episode is in tribute to Chris Jasper and brought to us by Lamont Patterson CEO of World Movement Enterprises and host of I AM INDI SHOW. Lamont interviews Chris Jasper, a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award winner, and discusses his musical journey, starting with piano lessons at seven and later studying at Juilliard. He reflects on the music industry's evolution, noting a shift from talent-driven to image-focused, and expresses a preference for the past when music appreciation and variety were greater. The decline of music education in schools and the rise of a quick-fix mentality in music production are discussed. The importance of music education, particularly in fostering a work ethic and creativity, is emphasized. The conversation also touches on the broader societal issues of family breakdown and the lack of male role models, suggesting that these problems are interconnected with the state of music education.Chris Jasper discusses his new album, inspired by his wife and addressing love, social issues, and his relationship with God. He shares his experience performing with a choir in Virginia, highlighting the positive audience response to his gospel songs. The conversation then shifts to current events, including concerns about the state of the world and conspiracy theories about government weather control.Chris Jasper discusses his song “In My Dream,” inspired by a dream he had about a peaceful world. He believes God guides his music and wants him to share truth. Jasper reflects on his time working with Ron Isley, noting their age difference and differing musical styles. The conversation discusses the importance of group cohesion and humility in music groups, highlighting how ego can lead to financial disagreements and the downfall of a group. It emphasizes the significance of the group and the music as the “magic” that captivates audiences, and how artists should prioritize performing beloved songs to meet fan expectations. The discussion also touches on the importance of passing down knowledge and wisdom to the youth, and the potential for collaboration on a film soundtrack.Chris Jasper promotes World Movement, encouraging listeners to check out their music, books, movies, and culture. He emphasizes the importance of education and positivity, urging people to believe in themselves and make the world a better place.Recording and image use are conducted with permission.#ChrisJasper #LamontPatterson #WorldMovementEnterprises #IAMINDISHOW #GrammyLifetimeAchievementAward #IsleyBrothers #IsleyJasperIsley #RBMusic #FunkMusic #SoulMusic #RebeccaLMahan#RebeccaSounds Reveille

Born in New York City and currently residing in South Florida, multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter Emmanuelle Sasson asked her father if she could take guitar lessons when she was just 6. When he said yes, Emmanuelle practiced for hours upon hours until “I had to dip my fingers in ice water because they burned so much.” Emmanuelle was seven when she started singing and became a young songwriter by the age of fourteen. That same year, she was diagnosed with severe Scoliosis followed by a back surgery. The emotional and physical change brought down her mental state. Her escape was listening to music by some of her favorites artists; a memorable time when she started to further develop her musical taste. As for her songwriting, Emmanuelle turns every day challenges and pain into her inspiration. “Every time something not-so-great happens in life I just think to myself, ‘It’s okay, I’ll write a song about it.’ Songwriting is my therapy. It helps me release any emotions I don’t know how to express just by speaking. That’s why my songs are so dark. It’s the side of myself that I don’t often show to other people. I'm an open book, but I don’t let everyone read the chapters.” Now, Emmanuelle is preparing to release her new focus track and video for “it’s not me,” which will be released in August. “I wrote ‘it’s not me’ when I was fourteen in front of a piano with nothing but a simple melody stuck in my head. I was angry and confused at something that now, is really not a big deal, but it was at the time. I’ve always had a personal struggle with indecisiveness, and it’s not because I’m a Libra (maybe it is, but I’m sure there’s another reason). I have an ongoing internal war between my head and my heart.

Cherish Lee has seen how hard the business is first hand through her father, Johnny Lee (country music legend, Urban Cowboy’s “Lookin’ For Love”) and mother, Charlene Tilton (television sex pot vixen, Lucy Ewing on hit TV show, “DALLAS”). She quickly gained her own recognition as a singer and songwriter in THE Music City. Lee’s album is truly homegrown– a Cinderella piece that is just flat out cool. This October 2017, Lee is releasing her first single “Tequila Cowgirl,” along with her music video debut.  “Tequila Cowgirl” is about an all American girl- a hard worker; she’s got her head on straight, knows right from wrong and lives by that. She loves Jesus and tequila. She loves her animals and is thankful for what she has. While she doesn’t need a man and won’t share her bed with just anyone, she is looking forward to meeting the right one. Any guy would be considered lucky to bring her home to meet his mama, and every girl wants to be her best friend! The song has an intimate, nostalgic feel to it with a healthy dose of country music. The full, aptly- named album, “Tequila Cowgirl” is scheduled for release in January 2018. It’s honest music that tells a story, and Lee’s voice conveys it beautifully, with all the attitude that her fans have come to expect from her. www.cherishleemusic.com

Born and raised in Washington State, Phillip Broussard discovered his passion early in life, when his father brought home a guitar. His father’s original intention was to play the guitar himself, but he soon found Phillip picking up the guitar, when he didn’t think anyone was watching. Phillip grew up under the influence of his father’s favorites, Pink Floyd, James Taylor, Jimi Hendrix, and Eric Clapton. What started as just a few chords, ignited a desire to share his new-found passion with the world. Then, tragedy struck at 18 years old, when Phillip’s father, grandfather and uncle passed away within 6 months of each other. Phillip put down his guitar and enlisted in the United States Navy in an attempt to quell his grief. Early on in his Naval career, someone handed Phillip a copy of John Mayer’s cd, “Room for Squares”. This album reignited Phillip’s passion for the guitar. In 2007, Phillip deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom. During this time, he refined his guitar skills…rn and raised Now, MTS Management Group is pleased to announce Phillip Broussard has signed with them for publicity and promotions of his forthcoming debut EP, “Wavelength.” The five-song acoustic blues-pop EP is scheduled for worldwide release on November 18th, Phillip’s dad’s birthday. In 1987, he began training with shamans in Central and North American traditions, as well in the Amazon.  After many extremely, intense years he was guided to study in Peru.  There he met Don Benjamin of the Shipibo tribe and was chosen to apprentice with him and finally initiated by Don as Medicine man in 1998. In addition to those studies, Bart studied I-Chuan, Kung Fu and a mixture of other martial arts, which he incorporates and teaches in his workshops and learning centers, Academy, in Sweden and Nevada. Bart usually works remotely with clients on a daily basis, however, he receives invitations monthly to visit various European cities to offer workshops along with healings.  His remote healings are just as powerful as seeing him in person. His international clientele spans over 4 continents.  He created and evolved his teachings, from his own personal crisis circumstances and specialized trainings, into a highly effective set of his own multi-dimensional healing and training systems and modalities. From all walks of life and social strata, he has assisted over 35,000 clients to heal.

Between cyber bullying and bullying at school, the school bullying statistics illustrate a huge problem with bullying and the American school system. In a recent SAFE survey, teens in grades sixth through 10th grade are the most likely to be involved in activities related to bullying. About thirty percent of students in the United States are involved in bullying on a regular basis either as a victim, bully or both. These school bullying statistics show what a problem bullying of all kinds in the United States has become. The recent school bullying statistics show that cyber bullying is becoming increasingly prevalent on school property as well as involving students even when they are not at school. Because of this growing number of kids affected by bullying, more and more schools throughout the country are cracking down on the measures taken to stop bullying.

Trevor Drury is a musician and international model who’s graced the pages of Details Magazine and worked with such notable designers as Hermes, Robert Geller, Timo Weiland, Malan Breton, and Tom Ford. In just a few short years, Trevor’s modeling career has catapulted to the top of the industry, walking the runways for Tom Ford and serving as the face of the brand’s beauty and 2016 holiday campaigns, as well as Mac Cosmetics’ Halloween campaign.  Drury’s first album, a collection of songs he’s written over the last two years, was released in June 2017. "Shallow" came to him as he was entering his math class in college. “For some reason I couldn't get it out of my mind,” he states. “So I turned from my class and found a piano – and it just seemed to spill out.” Other songs like "Childhood Friend" and "Water in the Cafe" he describes as coming from a past life, or a channeling of someone else's experiences. "Childhood Friend" went from nothing to a completed song in less than an hour. To this day it is Trevor’s most intense songwriting experience and left him in tears as the lyrics, melody, and emotion were revealed to him. Eddy Mann's a... musician, songwriter, worship leader, teacher, speaker, coach, husband, and father... whether you know him as one or more of these people, you know his heart; you know his love for life. Though his past has been playful and colorful at times, it also has been constant in its vision. It's always been a vision of hope, peace and understanding through the eyes of a loving heart. Eddy's led worship for over fifteen years. As a musician and songwriter it was twenty years ago that he made the decision to offer his creative gifts to God. Since then he's released seven CD's and written countless songs for the church and world at large. On any weekend you can find him in a coffeehouse, in concert, at a conference, and/or leading worship. His greatest earthly joy is his family... his wife Susan, daughters Ashley and Maddy, beagle Molly, g-kids Joey, Layla and Lexi and his sponsored children Emerita and Adjoint. A new album, The Consequence, the follow up to 2014's Dig Love, is currently wrapping up sessions at this writing. It once again touches on the theme of a peaceful and loving existence, while delving into the the consequences of our actions. Musically it continues down the path that Dig Love charted staying close to the americana, roots rock, and singer-songwriter traditions. Look for a fall 2016 release date. “You, You Make Me Feel” is currently at americana radio everywhere, charting on the New Music Weekly country charts.  “Something Beautiful and New,” from his September 6th anthology release, RE: Prize is following suit in the NMW Top 70. www.eddymann.com twitter: @eddy_mann facebook page: eddymann.musician instagram: @eddy_mann

He will be Blessing us with his New Music available now.If you are familiar with THE ISLEY BROTHERS, then you know Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee, CHRIS JASPER, an integral member of THE ISLEY BROTHERS during the 1970s and 1980s—their gold and platinum years—from the 3+3 (1973) to Between the Sheets (1983) albums. These were the years when THE ISLEY BROTHERS were a self-produced, self-contained group. If you are familiar with THE ISLEY BROTHERS, then you have heard the music of CHRIS JASPER, who was primarily responsible for writing, arranging and producing all of THE ISLEY BROTHERS music during this time, including such beautiful love songs as “For The Love of You” and “Between the Sheets” and uptempo funk such as “Fight the Power.” His arrangements and instrumentation as a classically-trained musician, and his expertise on the keyboards and synthesizers, are the foundation of the legendary “Isley Brothers Sound.” When the six members of THE ISLEY BROTHERS disbanded (1984), Marvin and Ernie Isley joined CHRIS JASPER and formed ISLEY-JASPER-ISLEY. Without this crucial musical component, THE ISLEY BROTHERS were no longer a self-produced, self-contained group. CHRIS JASPER brought his “unique sound” and musical talents to ISLEY-JASPER-ISLEY, and topped the charts singing lead vocals on “Caravan of Love” (1985), a song that was covered by English recording group, the Housemartins, an international #1 pop hit. “Caravan” was also used in commercials as part of a Dodge Caravan advertising campaign. He was also awarded a CEBA Award For Excellence for a Miller Brewing Company commercial. The music for that commercial formed the basis for “Brother to Brother” from the “Different Drummer” album, which supported the anti-aparthe.CALL IN #347-308-8747
