In the podcast world, a feed drop is when one podcast publishes an episode from another podcast directly into its own feed. I know, sounds serious. It's not really. It's basically a way to share and promote another show by letting your audience hear an actual episode of it. That's what you're getting today. Now, for a few years, you might have heard this on the Sound Off Podcast: "Transcription of the Sound Off Podcast is powered by the You May Also Like Podcast, the show about people, places and things. Follow the show on your favorite podcast app, or at YouMayAlsoLike.net."Well, what is that show? Originally, it was called the Hot Air Podcast with Matt Cundill, and then it morphed into something different. You May Also Like tells stories about creatives who aren't necessarily in broadcasting. Today's episode, though, does feature someone well known to the broadcast world. David Tyler has appeared on the Sound Off Podcast before- way back in 2016- and recently he appeared on You May Also Like. So do me a favor, give this show a like and a follow, and I hope you like the short format, presentation and style of it.David Tyler, a seasoned broadcast and voiceover talent since the 80s, discusses the importance of communication. Have you ever heard God speak in a riddle or a pun? God is a masterful communicator with a great sense of wit and humour! We see God's communicative ability from the beauty of creation. The same God who breathed diversity and creativity into the natural world continues to speak with the same qualities by his Spirit. “The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge.” (Psalm 19:1-2) On this podcast episode, Tania talks to pastor and prophet, David Shadbolt, a minister from the UK who is passionate about communication with both God and people. In this episode, David shares his experience of Holy Spirit's creativity, including: His first experience of hearing God's voice and the simple advice of his mentor, “read the Bible, listen to God and ask what you should do.” His insights about the importance of having the freedom to step out and explore what Holy Spirit is saying. The importance of hearing God in the small things of our lives. “God speaks into the context of our lives. Most of the time, God speaks about simple and small things, but the small can become extraordinary in the hands of our God.” The power of the prophetic Spirit who reveals the secret of our hearts and we learn that God is really among us (1 Corinthians 14:25) “When God reveals the secrets of our hearts, we realise that God is no longer just historical - the God of the dusty Bible - he is also one living among us.” Some wild and creative God conversation stories that involved riddles and puns. How to expand and deepen your prophetic imagination. Subscribe to God Conversations with Tania Harris and never miss an episode! About David David Shadbolt is the founder of the School of Prophecy in the UK and part of the wider  leadership team across the five congregations of Hope Church in the borough of Bromley, Kent, UK. He is a speaker, entrepreneur, author and prophetic teacher in the marketplace. and has authored a number of books including ‘God's Healing for Businesses'. If we are really honest, we begin most relationships with an agenda in mind. A transaction. We are wanting something for ourselves out of it. I know many people will reject that, and I reject their rejection. We either are hoping for something from the other person, or what we are doing for them makes us feel good about ourselves. Which is ok! Our focus today, is before you seek to get anything from anyone in a relationship, you need to earn the right. And in a relationship, this usually takes a while. But most people start relationships by talking about themselves or trying to solidify an opportunity, whether it's a job, a date, a new friendship or a work opportunity. And they do it prematurely, before they've actually made any true, meaningful connection and in truth, provided some value to the other person. This is part three on Renée Marino and her message on becoming a master communicator. This is my peer discussion my co-host is Dan Miller. One, because he's a professional communicator. Two, because he and my mom met Renée at an event put on by a big publisher and they texted me saying I just had to have her on the show, which I'll be forever grateful for. Three, because as most of you know, Dan is my Dad, and we have great conversations together and as you'll hear at the top of the show, I credit him with schooling me as a kid in how to communicate and win friends and influence people. I cite it as the best education I ever received and it's very much why I find myself now with a top ranked podcast. When we think of great relationships we inherently think of being such a great and attractive person that others are just drawn to us. I think we are errantly programmed in grade school where it literally is a popularity contest. If you're big or strong or pretty or a star quarterback, you are voted homecoming and prom royalty. This doesn't work in the real world where we grow up and actually want to feel connected to people and if someone can't do that we don't care what their skills and looks. Think of the people in your life you feel cared for by. What is the common denominator? They listen to you. They care about your life and opinions. You matter to them. So do you want more or better relationships? They don't come from telling people how great you are. They come from listening to others and helping them feel great about themselves. I'm with Renée Marino for part 2 to walk and talk through her personal Values, Motives, and Habits. In part 1 we hit on the key message from her book, Becoming a Master Communicator. Renée is a Broadway star and played the lead female role in Clint Eastwood's, Jersey Boys. She knows…communication. I discuss her personal relationship values she led off with just this...listening. Her goal is to be what she calls, a "complete listener." Listen in to hear how she defines this. She shares her recent efforts with inner child work. Her health and wellness goals center around being a powerful communicator with herself and giving focus to her self-worth, and the dangers in her career if she tied her identity and worth to the casting directors opinion of her. At the end in asking Renee about the things she does just to give herself joy and inspiration, she cites dancing, and singing, and you get a treat, as she gives us a stanza from "Someone to Watch Over Me." You can get Renee's book, "Becoming a Master Communicator" anywhere and when you do, go to FreeGiftfromRenee.com for two gifts she has for you. At the end of the day, at the end of our life, what matters is meaningful relationships. What purpose in living would you find if you woke up tomorrow as the only person left on earth? Now, what makes up healthy relationships? Think about it. It's communication. A car will go nowhere if it doesn't have wheels. The wheels of any relationship, is communication. And like any skill, we aren't just naturally an expert. Communicating well is a learned skill. Would you like to increase the health and success of your relationships? There is no better way to do it quickly and effectively than learning how to communicate better. So in this show I'm with Renée Marino. Renée is a bonafide Broadway star, singing, acting, and dancing in West Side Story, Pretty Woman, and Jersey Boys. Her lead role in the latter caught the eye of Clint Eastwood who took her from the stage and cast her for the lead female role in his film, Jersey Boys. Renée's livelihood is communicating. She must connect with and move the audience, and she's a master. Following the film, Renée turned her attention to the professional and personal world and is showing us the heart and skill of real communication. The kind that does just what Renée does on stage, on film, and in her personal life...truly connects us with others in a meaningful way that moves them to engage with us. We start talking about her growing up in New Jersey in an Italian American family where communication was their love language, taking her first steps on stage, and even into her marriage to an introvert and how they honor each other's styles of communication. As you'll quickly hear, I don't know that I've ever connected and resonated more with a guest on the show, which attests to Renée's skill of connecting through communication. You're going to enjoy this. Renée has culminated her methodology of communicating in her book, "Becoming a Master Communicator" which you can get anywhere and when you do, go to FreeGiftfromRenee.com for two gifts she has for you. We will learn: How we figure out our go-to “communication home” or the way we're most comfortable communicating.  How constant communication is the only way to really hear your intuition.  The necessary steps to find balance in our communication methods.  Communication is one of the most powerful skills we can master. The way we communicate defines the energy that connects us. Poor communication leads to misunderstandings,  missed opportunities, unnecessary conflict, and even mistrust. Your communication connects you, explains you, portrays you, but even more than that, the way you communicate creates your inner world as well. So that's what we're talking about today. Our guest is Renée Marino, professional communication coach, co-host of Tony Robbins and Dean Graziosi's “World Summit'', and author of the best-selling book, "Becoming a Master Communicator".  Links from the episode: Show Notes: https://mindlove.com/227 Sign up for The Morning Mind Love for short daily notes from your highest self.  Get Mind Love Premium for exclusive ad-free episodes and monthly meditations.  Support Mind Love Sponsors   See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
