The problem is to find which functions Alice should pick with what frequencies, in order to maximize the channel capacity. Why Am I Interested In This? I'm interested in characterizing functions which are "insensitive" to subsets of their input variables, especially in high-dimensional spaces. For instance, xor of a bunch of random bits is maximally sensitive: if we have a 50/50 distribution over any one of the bits but know all the others, then all information about the output is wiped out. On the other end of the spectrum, a majority function of a bunch of random bits is highly insensitive: if we have a 50/50 distribution over, say, 10% of the bits, but know all the others, then in most cases we can correctly guess the function's output. I have an argument here that the vast majority of functions f:{0,1}n{0,1} are pretty highly sensitive: as the number of unknown inputs increases, information falls off exponentially quickly. On the other hand, the example of majority functions shows that this is not the case for all functions. Intuitively, in the problem, Alice needs to mostly pick from "insensitive" functions, since Bob mostly can't distinguish between "sensitive" functions. ... And Why Am I Interested In That? I expect that natural abstractions have to be insensitive features of the world. After all, different agents don't all have exactly the same input data. So, a feature has to be fairly insensitive in order for different agents to agree on its value. Le concept est simple. Un peu avant chaque épisode, je demande à mon invité de lister les voitures de sa vie, dans l'ordre chronologique, et de réfléchir pour chacune à une ou deux anecdotes marquantes. La première voiture dont il se souvient, celles de ses parents, la première qu'il a conduite, achetée, etc. La route des vacances, le trajet vers la maternité, un accident, un rendez-vous chez le garagiste, tout est possible. The atmosphere and energy on all two dance floors of the club space was a real gift for every performer. Such a charge of responsiveness from the public, general positivity and a real RAVE entourage, I have not seen for a long time at the capital's partys. I will say right away - you are a wonderful audience and playing for you on two dance floors this night was a real pleasure! Потому что, пожалуй, это было самое масштабное PSYTRANCE мероприятие, которое только проходило в стенах ночного клуба PRAVDA. Народ на карантине изголодался по трансу и этот факт прекрасно отразился на всём происходящем в ночь с 27 на 28 февраля в рамках уже легендарного проекта ЭКЗОТИКА. Атмосфера и энергетика на всех двух танцполах клубного пространства была настоящим подарком для каждого выступающего. Такого заряда отзывчивости от публики, общего позитива и настоящего RAVE антуража я давно не видел на столичных тусовках. Guitars, vocals, fat bass and a measured powerful beat in the middle of the tracks – a classic mix of atmosphere in the commercial PSYTRANCE sound left few people indifferent on this night. Экзотика - уже традиционное и по-своему легендарное событие в жизни столичной psytrance тусовки, много лет проводящееся на всевозможных площадках Москвы и ближайшего Подмосковья. За свою историю проект Экзотика проходил с широким размахом на территории яхт-клуба Адмирал, собирая несколько тысячные танцполы и протекая на 5 площадках одновременно. Здесь были и небольшие клубные проекты, масштабные концертные площадки и лесные поляны в ближайшем Подмосковье. Но сквозь года идея самого проекта всегда оставалась неизменна - один российский диджей играет в своём сете материал только одного мирового исполнителя электронной сцены. Отличная идея, учитывая, что в течении одной ночи можно услышать выступления как бы нескольких известных проектов, за атмосферу и динамику звучания которых отвечают не сами авторы материала, а избранные джедаи) Было время, когда каждая новая часть проекта Экзотика нумеровалась и входила в историю под своим уникальным номером. Но со временем легенда события настолько развилась и разрослась, что нынешние мероприятия имеют лишь названия. Этой осенью в стенах клуба PRAVDA прошло очередное событие из серии, представленное на 2х танцполах. В этот раз я представлял звучание знаменитого и сверх актуального в современной psytrance тусовке проекта STRYKER. Если вы не знакомы с творчеством Barthelemy Bayona, то советую обязательно включить этот лайв и послушать. Скорее всего, вы не останетесь равнодушными. Но а если вкратце, STRYKER - это знаменитый в psytrance тусовке французский проект, история которого начинается с не менее знаменитого проекта XSI, покорявшего и взрывающего мировые танцполы ещё в середине 2000-х. В своё время XSI были для меня знаковыми артистами, треки которых я постоянно играл в своих выступлениях, практически не пропуская не одной работы ребят. Да что там говорить, даже сейчас в своих сетах я до сих пор вытаскиваю из старых коллекций треки проекта с 10-ти летней историей и они заходят так, словно написаны сейчас, совсем не потеряв своей актуальности. Ровно такая же история у меня повторилась и со STRYKER'ом. Последние года - это проект номер один для меня по количеству выпускаемых треков, которые я использую в своих выступлениях. Пожалуй, сложно услышать мои сеты без участия в них работ Барта. Для меня было гордостью создать свою собственную компиляцию из работ артиста и представить её публике в ночь с 6 на 7 ноября этого года. Впервые за все проекты Экзотика, на которых я выступал (лишь на одном меня не было), у меня возникла дилемма с укомплектованием моего сета. Качественного и крутого материала было так много, что он просто не умещался в рамки одного сета. Пришлось отбирать практически через жребий) Отдельное громадное спасибо всем PARTY PEOPLE. В эту ночь я играл в самый разгар события, когда на танцполе сконцентрировалась максимальная тусовка любителей транс саунда. Энергетика была МЕГА взрывная и потрясающая! В завершении весеннего клубного сезона в Москве прошло уже традиционное событие из серии ЭКЗОТИКА, которое в очередной раз собрало на танцполе сотни любителей псай транс звучания. Напомню, что общая концепция события заключается в том, что один российский диджей выступает с материалом одного знаменитого мирового транс проекта В этот раз я представлял саунд знаменитого французского транс деятеля - проект Седрика Дассалла - TALAMASCA. Честно признаюсь, ранние работы Седрика меня не очень цепляли. Было несколько интересных работ с XSI и парочка треков с его ежегодных альбомов. И на этом всё. Но последние года 3 музыкант стал прочно закрепляться в материалах моих сетов. Вместе с мелодичностью и атмосферностью, которые всегда были присущи проекту, общий саунд стал насыщаться драйвом и динамикой, которых мне раньше не хватало в работах Таламаски. Итог - сегодня для меня это один из проектов, новые работы которого я всегда жду. В лайве я затронул небольшую часть старых работ Седрика, сделав основной акцент на последние альбомы музыканта. Этот релиз состоит из 2-х частей, каждая из которых насыщена энергетикой и драйвом транс звучания. В первой части релиза я попытался собрать дух и атмосферу старого звучания FULL ON саунда. В самом начале декабря 2014-го в Москве снова прогремел знаменитый TIP WORLD, порадовав всех поклонников английского саунда очередным зарядом вечно молодого и неугомонного дедушки RAJA RAM'а, его верного помощника по саунд цеху LUCAS'а, а так же неповторимым dj set'от от проекта SHPONGLE.
