The Hike: Explore | Wander | Live podcast is one of my favorite podcasts to listen to while I'm driving or hiking. I always look forward to Thursdays when the next episode drops, as it provides me with the perfect companion for my outdoor adventures. Whether you're an avid hiker or someone who has never considered hiking before, this podcast is a must-listen.

One of the best aspects of this podcast is Lori's interviewing skills. She asks all the questions that you're thinking about as the interview progresses, making for a truly engaging and informative experience. Her shows often focus on specific hiking areas, such as the Smokies, but she also covers many other areas in the country. This diversity in topics keeps the podcast fresh and exciting.

Another great aspect of The Hike podcast is its ability to cater to hikers of all levels. Whether you're a hardcore hiker or just starting out, there's something for everyone here. Lori not only discusses amazing hikes but also provides solid gear and outdoors advice for beginners and experts alike. As a fellow Midwesterner, her perspective adds an extra layer of relatability.

While it took me a little while to fully connect with Lori's interview style, I am now hooked on this podcast. I appreciate that she is a female voice in what can often be a male-dominated space. Her presence helps make hiking and backpacking more inclusive and welcoming for all. It's refreshing to hear from someone who shares my love for the outdoors.

In terms of drawbacks, I would say that sometimes episodes can be slightly imperfect or unpolished. However, this is actually part of what makes The Hike podcast so endearing. It feels like you're having a genuine conversation with Lori and her guests rather than listening to something overly scripted.

In conclusion, The Hike: Explore | Wander | Live podcast is an incredible resource for anyone interested in hiking and backpacking. Lori's interviewing skills, diverse topics, and relatable presence as a fellow hiker make this podcast a must-listen. I highly recommend giving it a try and embarking on the many great journeys it has to offer.
