We are making it a Noir November on Scene Stealers, going back to talk about 1959's Odds Against Tomorrow. The Vault is about vampires and high school football, with Leo talking about Joel Schumacher's 1987 hit The Lost Boys and Charles is dancing in the end zone for 1999's Varsity Blues. The safe is cracked wide open for a great discussion about Robert Wise's Odds Against Tomorrow starring Harry Belafonte and Robert Ryan, in what has proven to be a heist movie far ahead of its time, but rich with themes that will spark much debate. The stakes are high but the Odds are always in the favor of Scene Stealers…

We have a guest this week on Scene Stealers! Film critic Kevin Wozniak from KevFlix and fellow member of the Chicago Indie Critics joins Leo and Charles to talk about director Steven Soderbergh's 2021 noir style hit No Sudden Move. It's an episode filled to the brim. We open the vault and discover three very different movies- Leo talks about Roland Emmerich's Universal Soldier, Kevin celebrates Ang Lee's Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, and Charles talks about the short film about Jeremy Lin with 38 at the Garden. Inside the safe is another movie from Steven Soderbergh, whose films are becoming recurring events on Scene Stealers, but only this time it's a heist movie with a lot of characters that can't be trusted. Leo, Charles, and Kevin try to keep it all together and stay still on Scene Stealers.

It's another exciting week on Scene Stealers because we are celebrating the 25th Anniversary of Jackie Brown! Charles is keeping it in the Halloween spirit for his choice from the Vault with Hocus Pocus 2, while Leo talks about a fun night out with his mom watching 1952's Singin' in the Rain. As for cracking the safe, it's a big take with one of Quentin Tarantino's more under appreciated films- 1997's Jackie Brown. The discussion ranges from debates about who delivers the best performance, the coolness of Pam Grier, and where it sits among Tarantino's other films. When you absolutely, positively got to listen to a heist movie podcast, accept no substitutes- Scene Stealers!

We are only bringing Sugar & Spice and all things nice on Scene Stealers. First off, The Vault segment has a mix of conversations with Leo talking about a night out with the family at the Alamo Drafthouse screening of The Lion King at the Lincoln Park Zoo. Charles is conflicted on Paul Schrader's The Card Counter especially with his love of all thing's poker. The safe is cracked wide open with the 2001 cheerleaders turned bank robber comedy Sugar & Spice. Leo and Charles profess their appreciation for James Marsden and any movie that teaches you to study heist movies. Plus we all know that cheerleaders kick…butt.

We are hoping you feel the Wrath this week on Scene Stealers! We get back to business with a feeling of fall in the air. October is just around the corner; Leo opens his vault to talk about the classic horror movie Child's Play and Charles is on the loose talking about Tony Scott's Unstoppable. The main heist is the good stuff with Guy Ritchie's hardnosed film Wrath of Man, where Leo and Charles discuss the specific crew names, the work of Jason Statham, and if this is Guy Ritchie's best movie yet. The money plane has landed and we are back on our game at Scene Stealers.

We review every and any heist movie over at Scene Stealers…and that includes Money Plane! This week we are talking high stakes in the sky. The trip into The Vault has Leo talking about the recent mockumentary comedy Honk For Jesus. Save Your Soul. And Charles gets all romantic with 1999's 10 Things I Hate About You. But the main event is a wild one, because we are talking about the 2020 low-budget heist movie Money Plane. It stars Adam “Edge” Copeland, Kelsey Grammar, and Thomas Jane, in a heist movie that will certainly hold its place in the young history of Scene Stealers. Now bring me my money!

    Ep. 12 The Grifters

The Grift is on this week on Scene Stealers. We open The Vault for something new and something groovy. Leo talks about Idris Elba vs. a lion in the ferocious new film Beast, while Charles takes out Roll Bounce and asks for a new evaluation on this guilty pleasure. But the Safe is Cracked for the main event- Stephen Frears wickedly deceptive caper from 1990- The Grifters- which is certainly a new kind of heist movie for Leo and Charles to discuss. With a trio of slick performances from Anjelica Huston, John Cusack, and Annette Bening, every character is looking for the next score, but you can always trust the guidance of Scene Stealers.

It's Ocean's Eleven for Episode Eleven! Scene Stealers is getting the whole gang together, Clooney, Pitt, Roberts, Cheadle, Damon, Gainey, and Brady. We go into the vault first to talk about 1989's Road House and Clint Eastwood's 2003 drama Mystic River. But when we Crack the Safe this week it's a big take with Steven Soderbergh's slick 2001 heist revision of Ocean's Eleven. This episode is jam packed with heist hijinks and an expression of our endless love for the entire Ocean's Eleven gang.

The "Guy in the chair", "the hacker", or "the wizard with technology", these are some of our favorite characters to see in a heist movie.  Today we are in Mission Control, dropping a special episode of Scene Stealers for the men and women doing the heist work behind the scenes.  Leo & Charles give their top 5 characters in the Tech/Gadget archetypes.

This week on Scene Stealers we give it a 10! It's the 10th episode of Scene Stealers and there's only one way to do it and that is big. In The Vault this week Leo is talking about the success of the sci-fi sequel The Matrix Reloaded and Charles is playing the right numbers with the Paramount+ film Jerry and Marge Go Large. But the main event this week we are talking about the criminally underappreciated heist movie- Widows. Director Steve McQueen's 2018 drama brought an all-star cast together, with Viola Davis leading the charge in this tense and tight drama about four women getting money before some bad guys get them first. We had to make Widows the 10th Episode of Scene Stealers because no-one thinks we have the balls to pull this off...Now listen to Scene Stealers.
