Are You Saved? Oftentimes our evangelical brothers and sisters ask this question, and we often ask it of ourselves, but do we know the answer? Beth and Kristofer answer this rather elusive question in this episode of On the Road to Perfection, and you may be surprised to learn the answer!

The message of this week's broadcast is that God is seeking for you. The very fact that you're here on this page is an example of that. He longs to reconnect with each one of us - but sin has formed a tremendous barrier. Yes, God is looking for sinners. But there is the other side as well. Are YOU seeking for Him? The Bible promise still stands - you will find Him when you honestly look for Him - when you seek for Him with all your heart.
In this episode, Kate & Annie are asking the same thing that those billboard signs on the highway ask you: “Are You Saved???” Salvation is a central focus in many denominations of Christianity, but how do Episcopalians see it? There are varying views in the church, and we're here to add to that mix. We discuss what it means to be “saved”, why humans obsess over who goes to hell, and whether salvation is more like a warm fuzzy feeling or a pot of stew. Are You Saved?People will often ask the question, "Have you been saved?" We know that through the passion, death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus we are able to follow the Lord and lead others to the salvation promised.
Are You Saved, by Doug Woods
Last week, we talked about Holy Communion being a gift and not a right owed to us by God. This may sound like the Church doesn't want you if you've sinned, but that couldn't be further from the truth. The reality is, every one of us is in need of repentance, and there is not one person on this earth who isn't a sinner. What we need to examine within ourselves is how we can realign our souls back to God and enter a union with him in the Holy Sacrament. Today, Fr. Mike clarifies some points he made in his last video about Holy Communion, and explains why the Church has always wanted your heart—especially in the midst of sin. For more from Fr. Mike, check out his new book Are You Saved? The Catholic Understanding of Salvation from his new series The Curious Catholic.

Love and Torah – what’s love got to do with it? This study series is based on the “Two Great Commands” – love Yahweh and love your neighbor. In Ephesians 5, Rabbi Steve Berkson continues teaching us about how to love each other. Stopping at verse 1 he expounds on becoming imitators of Elohim as dear children. In verse 2 we are exhorted to walk in love as Messiah also loved us, giving of ourselves to others as a gift to Elohim. Do you want to send up a “sweet smelling aroma” to Yahweh? Learn to serve others. In verses 3 and 4 we see a list of behaviors that should not even be named among the Body of Messiah. Rabbi Berkson takes some time to clarify one of those behaviors – uncleanness. What do these behaviors have to do with loving each other? In verse 5 there is something that we are expected to know – what is it we should know? Why should we know it? In verse 6 Rabbi Berkson asks why Paul would write about “empty words”. What are they? Why are we cautioned about them? How have some teachers misconstrued the meaning of “empty words”? How do they affect our inheritance in the Kingdom of Elohim? In verses 7 through 10 Rabbi Berkson asks us the question, “Who are you trying to please?” Rabbi Berkson once again dissects the words in these passages so that you will have a deeper understanding of what Yah expects of you, so that you can do it and receive the blessings. Behind the Door - Season 3 Episode 16 - Are You Saved? "The lights continued to flicker and strobe, and the woman continued to transform. She grew taller, her limbs elongated. Screams echoed throughout the store as the shoppers bolted for the exits. An unseen force slammed the steel shutters down over the windows and doors. There was no escape." Welcome to the sixteenth episode of the season for Behind the Door, where we discuss the themes underpinning the writing in last week's story, and have a behind the scenes chat with the author who made it happen. In this episode, we're going to discuss a very tough and important question – “Are You Saved, or Simply Fooling yourself?” And what's God and His Word say about it? And, what are some steps you can take and walk away with so that you're more enlightened an equipped in this specific area than before you tuned in today? Perhaps it will hit home with some of you, as it did me, when I was Shaken Awake and realized I had been SIMPY FOOLING MYSELF! It couldn't been a mistake that cost an eternity in Hell, but thankfully, God called me back to Him, saved me, and gave me another chance through His mercy, love, and grace to do life with Him, and be TRULY saved.

ONE Nation UNDER GOD....ARE YOU SAVED?
“Our peace comes from our expectation of the future, our understanding of the past and our embracing of what He has given us today.” What could bring any more peace to our hearts and minds than knowing how all this is ultimately going to end? Not just end, but transition to a new beginning. Meanwhile, the prayer of Messiah Yeshua is that we are not taken out of the world, but that we are kept from the wicked. This life in this world is only a test and we need to go through the tests for a reason–to show if it is in our hearts to fear Him and keep His commandments, thus yielding the “peaceable fruit.” In this teaching Rabbi Steve Berkson wants to begin talking about the emotional challenges facing us, first up, Worry. How is Worry like a virus? What is a good way to avoid Worry? What benefit does Worry have? Taking us to Matthew 6:24-34, Rabbi Berkson goes verse-by-verse through the words of Yeshua as He was exhorting His audience at that time to stop worrying and place themselves under the reign of Elohim, observe His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to them. Now that you’ve learned about the relationship between salvation, faith and works, and that “saved” is not a status in the “Are You Saved” series, it makes sense to learn about the one thing that could be considered a status worth bearing–being “in covenant” or “covenanted”. In this series Rabbi Steve Berkson begins to define “covenant” as seen throughout scripture; covenants between persons and covenants between Elohim and mankind. Sometimes Yahweh makes a covenant with himself. Other times in scripture we see Yahweh making a covenant with His creation. When was the first covenant established? What’s the difference between a promise and a covenant? How is being covenanted going to affect your life? Do you understand what you’re getting into? Don't miss out on new teachings every week. What does it mean to be in darkness? How does one know if they are in light? Rabbi Steve Berkson continues in the topic of Darkness & Light and how it relates to submission; in darkness being under no authority or wrong authority, and in light being under Yah’s authority. First we are taken to the letter to the Romans, chapter 2, verse 17 as we see the apostle Paul call out his brothers for being hypocrites in their role as “guides to the blind” – the blind as in referring to darkness – and a light to those in darkness. • Why did Paul have to come down on his brothers in the Jewish faith? • What was it that made them out to be hypocrites according to Paul? In this section Rabbi Berkson unpacks the meaning of circumcision and uncircumcision as Paul uses those terms when referring to the different groups of people. • If Paul was against torah-observance, as some would say, why did he say what he did in Romans 2:27? • What is one thing that living out Torah does for others? Moving from there to another letter from Paul to his assembly in Corinth, Rabbi Berkson takes us into 2 Corinthians 11:13-15 to enlighten us about the “Great Masquerade”. • Does Satan have horns, pointy tail and a pitch fork? What form can he take? • What if Satan’s workers actually did do wonders? Would you be deceived? Rabbi Berkson then leads us into Ephesians 5 to help us understand what it takes to become “imitators of Elohim”. • How can you be an imitator of someone who is no longer physically present? • To what is love always connected? • Why did Paul say that certain bad behaviors would keep them from the inheritance of the reign (kingdom) of Messiah? Weren’t the Ephesian’s “saved”? Who was Paul talking about? • What are the “empty words”? To where can they lead? Once again, Rabbi Steve Berkson delves deeper into scripture to uncover even more dimensions of Darkness and Light. Have you ever heard the call of God? Sometimes we don't realize that we're hearing it. The circumstances in life contain the call of God to us - both good times and bad times. Sometimes it's a whisper, sometimes it's a shout. Have YOU ever been made aware of God's call to YOU? But God's call comes mainly through His Word. He touches our hearts with truths that we all know to be right. We know that there is something wrong with the world - with US! We feel the guilt of our sin. We long for forgiveness and unconditional love. Don't look into strange new philosophies. Don't fall for self-improvement programs. Just read what God says - and take what He offers freely - salvation and eternal life! One day will be God's last call to you.
Many Catholics have been asked whether or not we are saved, or if we died tonight, where would we spend eternity. But, wipe that deer in the headlights look off your face, and find out what the Bible, and our Church, teaches about Salvation.
Can you say that the things you are suffering now because of your faith are not worthy to be compared to the honor (glory) that shall be revealed in you? Who’s the ‘he’ that “searches the hearts”? Is it true that nothing can separate us from the love of Messiah? Romans 10:4 reads that Messiah is the end of the law for righteousness–what does the word ‘end’ mean in that sentence? Did Paul misquote Moses in Romans 10:6-8? As we’ve progressed through the book of Romans, we see how the apostle Paul addresses two major issues among his congregation: 1. The rift between those who are native-born Israeli and those of the nations (Gentiles), and, 2. Paul refers to at least two sets of “laws”, the Torah and the “law of sin and death”. In this teaching, Rabbi Steve Berkson slowly and methodically takes us through Romans chapters 8 through 10, untangling 2,000 years of erroneous understanding and twisted teaching. He exposes the more sensible scenario in which Paul would actually be writing to his Roman congregation about being Torah observant and not the other way around. Most tend to think of things related to God as being 'religion' and want to have nothing to do with it. We here at Anchorpoint don't want anything to do with religion either. You see, religion is just man's vain attempt to reach out to God - and is often very much mistaken about who God is and what He wants us to know about Him. The gospel is nothing like this. It is the simple plan of salvation initiated and carried out by God Himself. It is all about the Christ of Calvary. It's all about His cross. Now, what could be better than that?
What should you be thinking about as you read through the Bible? What is the “beautiful thing” that you see in scripture? Finish this statement, “Come as you are, …” How does change happen? What is the one thing you should do when approaching the Creator in prayer? What is the whole point of the Covenant? Psalm 105:1 says to “make known His deeds among the peoples.” How do we do that? Is that an opportunity for personal evangelism, i.e., knocking on doors, etc.? Continuing in Psalms Rabbi Steve Berkson shows the role and effect of remembering what Yah has done as to how they pertain to keeping covenant with him. There's an interesting story in the Bible about the healing of a paralytic man by the Lord Jesus Christ. Amidst all the drama of breaking up the roof and lowering the man down into the crowd, the Lord Jesus remained unfazed. He didn't even seem that concerned about the man's physical condition. "Your sins are forgiven", He said. Why would He say this? The man needed to be healed, didn't he? But to Christ, he had a more obvious need - the forgiveness of sins. The same goes for you and me.
Over 2000 years ago, the apostle Paul was walking through the city of Athens looking at all the idols set up there when he came across one with a strange inscription, “The Unknown God”. Paul took the opportunity to preach to the people about the God that he knew and appreciated personally but was yet unknown to the people around him. Who exactly IS this God? What is He like? Does He play any part in our world or in our lives? Is He still unknown to YOU?
In part 9 of “Are You Saved?”, we read through James (Ya’akov) chapter 2 and now understand that faith/belief and works are intertwined so that one without the other cannot exist. In this lesson, Rabbi Steve Berkson takes us to the book of Hebrews, chapters 11 and 12 to show us proof by examples that “by belief/faith” those “heroes” that came before us were inspired by “salvation” to exemplify their belief/faith with their works. What is meant by “the substance of what is expected, and the proof of what is not seen”? How did Moses see Him who is invisible? (Heb 11:27) If our walk of faith is compared to a running a race to receive a prize, how does today’s society ruin that analogy? (Heb 12:1) How does the Father keep us on the right path? If “grace” is the “unmerited favor” of Elohim, how can one fall short of it? This episode Heather and I discuss how we should dialogue with somebody who asks us if we are saved. We look at what that means and why we need to understand the difference between redemption and salvation. We also discuss how we can learn from our Protestant brethren how we can take Jesus as our personal Lord and Savior.
Tim takes us in to part 12 of our Culture of Discipleship series with "Are You Saved?"
In today's 'post-modern' society, the greatest casualty of departure from God is 'truth'. Everything has become very relative - what's good for you or truth for you, may not be so for me. There is no solid basis for establishing objective reality - just changing opinions that suit our particular mindset at any particular time. How sad this is - and how tragic! We hope that you will open your mind and heart to the truth as it is expressed in the person of the Lord Jesus Christ through His Word.
The coming again of our Lord Jesus Christ is a wonderful and exciting truth for Christians. But let’s face it, it’s bad news for unbelievers. How important it is to be ready! 1 Thessalonians Chapter 4 describes this great and soon-coming event in some detail.
There is a word used quite often in the Bible - and there's good reason for it. The word is 'whosoever' and it's used to make its timeless message personal to all who read it. There are at least five kinds of 'whosoevers' mentioned. We trust that evangelist Marvin Derksen's message will help you decide which of the Bible 'whosoevers' that you would like to be in light of eternity.
On today’s broadcast, we’ll be considering making the necessary reservations for the most important journey we could every make – the journey into eternity. Nobody finds themselves in heaven without a prior booking. Are you prepared for that trip? Your certainly need to be! The old hymn says, “My passport to the realms of bliss is Jesus died for me.” Have you made YOUR reservation?

If you are waiting for Jesus to come again in the rapture or if you think that Christianity is the only religion that has the Truth, then I hope you will listen to this show. I am featuring my good friend, David Hulse of www.LightWithin.com. David and I have known one another for forty years. We walked out of the religion of Christianity together, and we took Jesus with us. DAvid has written a book Take Another Look where he goes into much more detail about how we have been deceived by the egos agenda into believing in Heaven and Hell and in a rapture and Second Coming. We now know that all power is within us and we are the Second Coming of Jesus. Don't be afraid to at least listen to DAvids easy to be entreated look at some of Christianitys favorite man made doctrines. He will shed more light on these scriptures that will be the good news for you.
