Tuesday, 23 June 2026 A summary of Matthew Chapter 20. Chapter 17 revealed that there is a future for Israel in God's redemptive plans. The main message of Chapter 18 was that childlike faith is required to enter into the kingdom. The final parable, that of the wicked servant, dealt with Israel's rejection of Christ's fulfillment of the law, showing that they would be delivered up until they entered the New Covenant. Chapter 19 took the reader through various topics to reveal what God prioritizes. The contrasts between law and faith were seen throughout the chapter. Chapter 20 began with a parable based on Peter's question that came toward the end of Chapter 19, “See, we have left all and followed You. Therefore what shall we have?” (Matthew 19:27). Jesus mentioned what would happen in the regeneration, meaning during the millennium, when the Son of Man would sit on the throne of His glory along with those who would sit judging the twelve tribes of Israel. The chapter closed out with Jesus' words of verse 30, “But many who are first will be last and the last first.” That is what precipitated the parable of the workers in the field. Those who came last during the dispensation of the law would be the first to enter into the New Covenant, receiving grace, while those throughout the dispensation of the law had to labor. Immediately after that parable, it noted that Jesus was going up to Jerusalem (Foundation of Peace). He took His twelve disciples aside to tell them about His coming passion. The place known as the Foundation of Peace would be where peace is realized through Christ's accomplishment of His work. Immediately following those three verses, it noted that the mother of Zebedee's sons came to Him. Rather than their names being stated, it called them “Zebedee's sons”. Zebedee is from the Hebrew Zebadyah (translated as Zebadiah). That is from zabad to confer or bestow, and the shortened form of Yehovah, Yah. The name means Yah Has Bestowed (Given). Their mother's request was that Jesus would grant that her two sons would sit at Jesus' left and right in His kingdom. Ironically, she was asking the Lord incarnate to bestow upon Zebedee's (Yah Has Bestowed) sons what she requested. His answer was that it was not His to give. Instead, it was for those whom His Father had prepared. As noted at the time, this does not mean that Jesus isn't God, but that His humanity had to complete His mission before the Father, through Him, could make such a grant. That discourse ended with the words, “just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many” (Matthew 20:28). The punning continued with that statement because Jesus is the fulfillment of the name Yah Has Bestowed. Despite this truth, there is an order and a propriety in all things pertaining to God. Each step in the redemptive process must be completed before the next step can be taken or before the next allowance can come to pass. With that matter settled, the final section concerning the blind men was given. That began with, “Now as they went out of Jericho.” Jericho is Place of Fragrance. Typologically, it signifies the surety of heaven. Matthew, unlike Mark and Luke, notes that there were two blind men sitting by the road. Two is the number of division or difference. Whereas one precludes the thought of another, two signifies that there is another. As this occurred while Jesus was going out of Jericho on His way to Jerusalem, it can be deduced that this refers to the surety of heaven (Jericho) for those who follow Christ to where He establishes peace (Jerusalem). Their cry was to the “Lord, Son of David.” They have recognized Him as the fulfillment of the messianic promises. Because there are two in Matthew's gospel, the number of division and difference, it can be assumed that this typologically refers to Jews and Gentiles who were previously blind, but who come to the realization that Jesus is the Christ. They have heard the word that Jesus is passing, they have asked for their sight to be restored, and He touched their eyes, and they were restored. With that accomplished, it says that they followed Him. It is thus an anticipatory note of salvation by grace through faith based on the completed work of Christ. With that complete, the surety of heaven is realized. The physical blindness is used as a picture of the spiritual blindness that infects all humanity and which is corrected by faith in the completed work of Jesus. Life application: Chapter 20 is a chapter filled with hints of the transition from the dispensation of the law to the dispensation of grace. It deals with order and propriety concerning each step of the redemptive process to ensure that nothing is dealt with until the previous steps are completed. The words from Jesus to the sons of Zebedee about being great in the kingdom show that greatness in God's redemptive process is not based on ruling over others, but rather serving others, Jesus being the example par excellence of that concept. He is the quintessential Servant to humanity, having given His life as a ransom for many. To procure the blessings of heaven, God has made faith in what He has done the necessary condition. Nothing more can be added to it, and without meeting that one condition, there is no chance of obtaining access. These are the precious details of this wonderful chapter of Matthew. Lord God, thank You for the incredible details that are tucked away in Your word. We are the recipients of Your wisdom and favor when we pick it up, read it, and consider its contents. Thank You for the innumerable mysteries You have allowed us to see within it. Thank You for this precious word that tells us of our wonderful Savior, Jesus. Amen. Matthew 20 20 Like, for, it is the ‘kingdom, the heavens': man, housemaster, who he exited concurrently early to hire toilers into ‘vineyard, his'. 2Having also harmonized with the toilers from ‘denarius, the day,' he sent them into the ‘vineyard, his'. 3And having exited about the third hour, he saw others having stood in the market, inactive. 4And to them, he said, “You go, also you, into the vineyard, and whatever if it should be righteous, I will give you.” And these, they departed. 5Again, having exited around ‘sixth and ninth hour', he did likewise. 6Around, also, the eleventh hour, having exited, he found others having stood inactive. And he says to them, “Why, here, you ‘having stood all the day' inactive?” 7They say to him, “Because no one, us, he hired.” He says to them, “You go, also you, into the vineyard, and the ‘if it should be righteous', you will take.” 8Evening, also, having become, he says, the ‘lord, the vineyard' to ‘commissioner, his', ‘You call the toilers, and you pay them the reward, having commenced from the last unto the first.' 9Having come, also, those about the eleventh hour, they took each – denarius. 10Having come, also, the first, they deemed that more, they will take, and they took, also themselves, each – denarius. 11Having taken, also, they grumbled against the housemaster. 12Saying that “These, the last, one hour they made, and equal, them, to us, you made those who were bearing the burden of the day and the blaze.” 13The ‘also answering one of them', he said, ‘Scammer! Not I wrong you! Not for a denarius, you harmonized me? 14You bear the ‘yours', and you go! I will, also, this: the last to give as also you. 15Or not it permits me, what I will to do in ‘these, mine'? Or the ‘eye, you' evil, it is, because I – good, I am? 16Thus, they will be the last, first, and the first, last. Many, then, they are called; few, also, selected.' 17And ascending, the ‘Jesus to Jerusalem', He took twelve disciples apart alone, and in the road, He said to them, 18You behold! We ascend to Jerusalem, and the ‘Son, the Man', He will be surrendered to the chief priests and scribes, and they will sentence Him – death, 19and they will surrender Him to the Gentiles unto the ‘mock, and flog, and crucify', and the third day, He will rise up. 20Then she approached Him, the mother – the ‘sons, Zebedee', with the ‘sons, hers', worshipping and asking something from Him. 21The ‘Also He said' to her, “What do you desire?” She says to Him, “You said that they might sit, these, the ‘two sons of mine,' one from ‘rights, You', and one from ‘lefts, You', in the ‘kingdom, Yours'.” 22Answering, also, Jesus, He said, “Not you have known what you ask! Are you able to drink the cup, the ‘I, I am about to drink,' or the immersion, the ‘I, I am immersed' to be immersed?” They say to Him, “We are able.” 23And He says to them, ‘The ‘indeed, ‘cup, Mine',' you will drink, and the immersion, the ‘I, I am immersed' you will be immersed. The, also, to sit from ‘rights, Me', and from ‘lefts, Me', not it is Mine – these to give, but those it has been prepared under the ‘Father, Mine'.' 24And having heard, the ten, they outraged about the two brothers. 25The ‘also Jesus having summoned them', He said, “You have known that the ‘rulers, the nations' they subjugate them, and the greats, they dominate them.” 26Not thus, also, it will be in you, but whoever if he wills in you to ‘great, become', let him be your attendant. 27And whoever, if he wills in you to be first, let him be your slave. 28Just as the ‘Son, the Man', not He came to be attended to but to attend, and give the ‘soul, His' – ransom for many. 29And they, proceeding from Jericho, it followed Him, ‘crowd, great'. 30And you behold! Two ‘blind' sitting beside the road, having heard that Jesus, He passes, they croaked, saying, ‘You compassionate us, Lord, ‘Son, David'!' 31The ‘also crowd', it admonished them that they should mute. The ‘also greater they croaked', saying, “You compassionate us, Lord, ‘Son, David'!” 32And having stood, Jesus, He vocalized to them, and He said, ‘What you ‘will' I should do to you?' 33They say to Him, ‘Lord, that they might be opened the ‘eyes, ours'.' 34Having gut-wrenched, also Jesus, He touched the ‘eyes, theirs', and immediately they up-looked, their ‘the eyes', and they followed Him.

Love and Torah – what's love got to do with it? This study series is based on the “Two Great Commands” – love Yahweh and love your neighbor. In this teaching, Rabbi Steve Berkson continues with the second “Great Command” to love your neighbor or each other. He picks up where we left off in James (Ya'akov) chapter 4, then moves into chapter 5, and finally takes us to 1 John chapter 1. • How do your likes or dislikes affect your relationships with others? What does Rabbi mean by saying we have to “learn each other”? • What does “friendship with the world” mean? • What does “subject yourselves to Elohim” mean? • What does “resist the devil” mean? • How do you draw near to Elohim? How does Elohim draw near to you? • When pursuing Torah, whose feelings are you most concerned about protecting – your friends and family or Elohim? • How would you define ‘sin'? • Do you really understand what the first two verses of 1 John are talking about? Rabbi Berkson once again dissects the words in these passages so that you will have a deeper understanding of what Yah expects of you, so that you can do it and receive the blessings. Welcome back to the Dr. Mary Travelbest Guide podcast. The FAQ: While planning a trip to Taiwan and South Korea, someone I was guiding asked, "Is 911 a universal emergency code worldwide?" I looked into this and found a helpful answer. Here's the answer: 911 is not universal. Abroad, the number differs, and sometimes each service has its own. Commonly: 112 in the EU, 112/999 in the UK and Ireland, 000 in Australia, 111 in New Zealand, 110/119 in Japan, and 112/119 in South Korea. For Europe, 112 is the key number to remember. It works everywhere in the EU, is free, and will connect you to emergency services from any phone. In the UK, both 999 and 112 work. A few country-specific examples matter because they can trip up travelers. Australia's main emergency number is 000; the government says 112 can also be connected from mobile phones there, but 000 is the primary number. New Zealand uses 111 for police, fire, and ambulance services, and 105 for police non-emergencies. Japan uses 110 for police and 119 for fire/ambulance. In South Korea, 112 is for police, and 119 for fire/ambulance/medical emergencies. Tourism guidance says you can ask for an interpreter by saying "English please" or "Interpreter please." What else should travelers know beyond the number? Don't assume 911 works overseas. In some places, it may redirect, but don't rely on it. Know the local emergency number before you travel. Always know your location—hotel, street, intersection, train station, or landmark—for fast communication with emergency operators. When calling, clearly state which service you need: police, ambulance, or fire. Save your embassy or consulate number, but call local emergency services first. If you are in the EU, official guidance notes that 112 is free and available on public and mobile phones. One more thing to consider in my response to the question is that emergency numbers are for urgent danger only. Some countries also have non-emergency numbers. For example, New Zealand uses 105 for non-emergency police matters, while the UK uses 101. Knowing that helps you avoid tying up emergency lines. In summary, solo travelers should memorize 112 for Europe, and always look up the emergency number for each country before traveling. This ensures you are prepared for emergencies wherever you go. 60-second confidence challenge Your challenge today, Confidence Challenge, is to be ready for an emergency: A few smart habits help a lot. Before each trip, put the following items in your phone notes and in your bag: local emergency number, hotel address, embassy/consulate contact, travel insurance emergency line, and one family contact. If your phone is locked, add your emergency contacts and any major medical facts to the lock screen or Medical ID. And know the emergency code in that country. If you like today's Confidence Challenge, my book series delves into safety and security, while moving through the 5 steps to solo travel, from easy to more challenging, with foreign language communication tips. You can find the series at the link in the description. See Book A for addressing this concern. Find it on the website at https://www.5stepstosolotravel.com/ or on Amazon. I will be doing pre-orders soon for Book C in the series, so please look out for that. Today's destination is Naxos, Greece. The Greek island of Naxos is one of those places that quietly steals your heart. https://www.visitgreece.gr/islands/cyclades/naxos/ If you're a woman over 50 thinking about taking a slightly more adventurous step in your solo travel journey, this is your place. Not too crowded, not too complicated, but just enough unknown to stretch you in the best way. Let's start with the journey. I took the Blue Star ferry from Athens around noon, passing through Paros on the way. Round-trip from Athens port was about $85 with a Eurail discount of 30% The ferry ride is part of the experience. It's calm. It's scenic. It gives you time to sit, read, think, or do nothing at all. And for many of us, doing nothing is the hardest and most valuable skill to relearn. The hotel where I stayed was called the Galina, a short 300-meter walk from the water and beach. It was run by two brothers whose parents founded it over 40 years ago. The room was delightful, and the location was excellent. The breakfast I had the morning before leaving was perfect, featuring all the delicious Greek foods I wanted to try, and I ate my fill. It was included in the room price, which was about $85 US, and it was definitely worth it because I completely relaxed and enjoyed my stay. During my time on Naxos, I went swimming twice and enjoyed walking around the island. I loved getting lost while exploring the shops selling a variety of merchandise like T-shirts and knick-knacks. it was a treat! I didn't buy anything, but just looking around made me feel great. I also had a nice dinner at a restaurant called Taverna, which cost $21. I ordered shrimp served on a plate with rice and salad, along with skewers of meat (souvlaki). Naxos is not a rush through destination. I swam twice at St. George Beach. I wandered the old town and got completely lost in the castle area, the Venetian Astro district. And here's something worth questioning: When was the last time you allowed yourself to get lost on purpose? No Google Maps. No urgency. Just curiosity. Because that's where confidence grows, not in perfect plans, but in small uncertainties. I'll talk more about getting lost in my mistakes later on. "On an island, it's usually easy to find your way back" was one of my thoughts while exploring. One of my favorite moments was hiking up St. George Hill, past an abandoned restaurant, to catch the sunset. The place was run down, with graffiti and weeds that made it look cluttered. But the views were magnificent. No crowds. No ticket. Just a view that reminded me why I travel. And then there's the Portara, the Temple of Apollo. Just a 10–15 minute walk from town, sitting dramatically at the edge of the sea. It's iconic—but still peaceful if you time it right. https://explore-naxosisland.com/places/baco https://www.xwhos.com/record_labels/1/naxos.html One day, something unexpected: a conversation at the beach with an Aussie man who was on the construction project for a bar on the seafront called Baco Seaside, 4.4 stars. You never know who you may run into at the beach. For details, James was 32, bald, and a good storyteller. He has no idea I travel the world and write about it for women like you. We watched each other's belongings when we wanted to go swimming. Never leave your items on the beach unattended. .https://explore-naxosisland.com/places/baco Travel introduces you to people you were never supposed to meet, and yet somehow you do. If I had more time, and you should plan for it, I would visit: More beaches beyond St. George and The museums in the Venetian castle. Here is more of the history you will learn while in the area. Naxos is a Greek island in the South Aegean, the largest of the Cyclades (sic la deeze), spelled Cyclades, a group of islands. Its fertile landscape spans mountain villages, ancient ruins, and long stretches of beach. The namesake capital (also called Hora or Chora) is a port town filled with whitewashed, cube-shaped houses and medieval Venetian mansions. Kastro, a hilltop castle dating to the 13th century, houses an archaeological museum. https://www.xwhos.com/record_labels/1/naxos.html Let's talk about Greek, yes, the language. I tried. I really did for fifteen days on Duolingo. However, I still struggled. And here's the truth: you don't need to be fluent. But you do need to be willing to try—and to feel a little uncomfortable. That's part of Step 5 travel. Greek is harder to learn than I thought. I've been using Greek Duolingo for the past 15 days, but it hasn't helped me as much as I hoped. It has been an experience nonetheless; I've learned a few Greek letters, but I still struggle to pronounce any words. Here are three I practiced. Gia sas Yah sahs is hello Parakalo is "pah rah kah Lott" is pleased Efharisto is ef hah ree stoh is thank you Don't underestimate Naxos. Give it at least 2–3 nights. Because when a place makes you feel relaxed that quickly, that's rare. If you're building your confidence as a solo traveler in Greece as a Step 5 newbie, Start with a place like Naxos. Easy ferry access Walkable town Safe, welcoming vibe Plenty to do—but no pressure to do it all Are you traveling to check off places on a list… or actually to feel something? Here is why many travelers end up loving Naxos: It gives you sand, swimming, and a real town. It has more of a lived-in, less staged feeling than some headline islands. You can combine beach time, sunset views, old alleys, and inland villages without needing a huge travel plan. Or expense. It works well for people who want Greece to feel pleasant and manageable. When Naxos is not the best pick: Pick Crete if you want the deepest mix of archaeology, cities, dramatic nature, and a longer, road-trip-style island trip. Pick Sardinia if your main goal is exceptional Italian beaches and a larger standalone Mediterranean holiday. Pick Santorini if the caldera views are the whole point. Pick Mykonos if nightlife and scene matter a lot. Naxos is often the better island for people who actually want to relax and feel Greece, not just check off the most famous name. My missteps: Getting lost in Athens The hostel manager pointed outside. "Don't go that way when you leave," and I did not ask for details, assuming it was a bad area with a high crime rate. I did get lost a few times nearby, though, finding my way back. I may have walked that way by accident. Here's my detailed story: I found the metro station from the airport, which served the modern, faster blue line. I changed lines at Monastiraki and arrived at Omonia Square, but I got a bit lost. The neighborhood was quite confusing and not very safe, with only small markets around. I felt scared at times. One night after returning from Naxos, it was 9:15 PM and dark when I finally reached the hostel, safe and ready for another day. AI was used to select some of the suggestions for this episode. The biggest topic of discussion in Episode 15 is the difference between the “birthright” and the “blessing,” and how they are both shadows of Messiah's administration and fulfillment.Much of modern theology today treats “birthright” and “blessing” as if they are interchangeable terms and ideas, and while they are related, they are also presented in Scripture with distinct roles with different purposes and functions. By tracing these themes from the patriarchs through the prophets, we examine how the birthright relates to inheritance and the expansion of the covenant family, while the blessing relates to rulership, covenant authority, and kingship. Joseph receives the birthright, while Judah receives the scepter. The birthright belongs to inheritance, and the blessing belongs to rulership. Throughout Israel's history, these roles remain distinct until they are ultimately fulfilled and united in Messiah. This episode will shed a whole new light on “I did not come to abolish the torah, but to fulfill it...”Joseph Receives the Birthright:Joseph's life foreshadows Yahusha: rejected by his brothers, sold for silver, suffered unjustly, and later exalted to preserve life. His birthright inheritance points forward to Messiah, the true firstborn heir. The author of Hebrews declares that Yahusha is "heir of all things" and the "firstborn among many brethren." Understanding His inheritance is essential to understanding our inheritance in Him.The birthright given through Joseph (and Ephraim) reveals something much larger than we think. Ephraim's blessing of fruitfulness and branches extending “beyond their borders” points forward to the expansion of the covenant family itself. We will cover that in the next episode, Yah willing. The promise that Ephraim's seed would become a multitude of nations finds its fulfillment in Messiah, who restores scattered Israel and gathers both natural and wild branches into one covenant family.Messiah does not erase Israel's promises or redefine them or “spiritualize them” to the “church.” He fulfills them. And through Him, the inheritance promised in Scripture expands exactly as the prophets foretold.Blessing to Abraham, carried through Judah, confirmed in David, fulfilled in Messiah—the promised “Seed”:This episode will also discuss the blessing given through Abraham, carried through Judah, confirmed in David, and fulfilled in Yahusha. Scripture reveals a covenant promise that we have covered in detail so far: a coming “Seed” who would inherit the throne forever, bless all families, and rule the nations. This is the blessing fulfilled in Messiah's kingship. From Genesis 49's prophecy of Shiloh to the Davidic Covenant, from Zion and Shiloh to the restoration of the fallen Tabernacle of David, my hope is that we can more clearly trace the prophetic thread that points to the One who would bring together what had been divided. There is so much more I want to say about the significance of this episode. The birthright belongs to Joseph/Ephraim. The kingship belongs to Judah. The priesthood belongs to Levi.No single tribe could lawfully hold all three positions. That is why Messiah ministers according to the order of Melchizedek. As King, Priest, and Heir, Yahusha alone fulfills the birthright, the blessing, and the priesthood without abolishing or redefining ANY of them. Through Him, inheritance, covenant, and priestly service are united under a higher administration. This is how believers inherit through Messiah without replacing Israel. In this study, we examine how these shadows/patterns reveal the gospel, magnify the promises made to Abraham, and help us understand what it means to be part of the assembly of the true Firstborn (Hebrews 12:22-23). Love and Torah – what's love got to do with it? This study series is based on the “Two Great Commands” – love Yahweh and love your neighbor. Rabbi Steve Berkson digs deeper into the book of James (Ya'akov), elaborating on Ya'akov's exhortation to those under his care and guidance in chapters 3 and 4… • Why does Ya'akov say that some should not become teachers? • What does “bridling the body” mean? • Why is the ‘tongue' such a focus in chapter 3? • Are you SNIOP? • What is “Humility and Integrity vs. Hypocrisy”? • How can you be “behaving like a demon”? • How are self-seeking, confusion, and foul deeds related? How can you avoid them? • Why did Ya'akov address some people as “adulterers and adulteresses”? Rabbi Berkson once again dissects the words in these passages to give you a deeper understanding of what Yah expects of you, enabling you to do it and receive the blessings. When it comes to support its not about what one individual can provide or how important one is to another, it is about supplying as a whole. When every part supplies it's role that is when needs are met, unity is increased, and the Word of Yah spreads. Every part matters.

Greetings saints of the Most High. In this installment of the Messianic Torah Observer, I offer a needed clarification regarding Israel, the Jewish people, and the broader discussion from this teaching series, "What the Torah Can and Cannot Do for Us." In this episode, I examine what Scripture says about Yah's everlasting covenant with Israel, Paul's teaching that God has not rejected His people, and the reality that we as non-Jewish believers are grafted into the commonwealth of Israel rather than replacing it. I also address the misuse of passages such as "neither Jew nor Greek" and explain why Torah can never be used as a justification for contempt, condemnation, or arrogance toward our Jewish cousins. If you have ever wrestled with the relationship between Torah, covenant, Israel, grace, and the calling of Gentile believers in Messiah, this teaching will help ground that discussion in the plain witness of Scripture. My prayer is that this message leads us all toward covenant humility, truth, prayer, and love rather than pride or hostility. Key themes in this teaching include: Yah's everlasting covenant with Israel God has not rejected His people Grafted into the commonwealth of Israel The meaning of "neither Jew nor Greek" in context The oracles of God entrusted to Israel Why Torah does not sanction contempt

Love and Torah – what's love got to do with it? This study series is based on the “Two Great Commands” – love Yahweh and love your neighbor. Welcome to the Jubilee of Love and Torah. Continuing in the book of James (Ya'akov), Rabbi Steve Berkson unpacks chapter 2… • To whom did James (Ya'akov) write his letter? How do we identify with them today? • How does one exhibit ‘partiality'? • What's the difference between ‘judging' and ‘judgment'? Why is one less desirable to Abba than the other? • What does it mean that if you've broken one Torah command, you've broken them all? Aren't there different levels and kinds of sin? • Why is the speed of our repentance important? • Can we keep all the commandments in the Torah today? • What are “salvation issues”? • What does it mean to be “judged by the Torah of Freedom”? Are you really free? • Are you a ‘conduit' for everything that Yah desires to distribute to others? • When should you stop calling yourself a believer? • Why wasn't Abraham's righteousness because of his belief alone? • How do belief and works (keeping Torah) function together? Rabbi Berkson once again dissects the words in these passages so that you will have a deeper understanding of what Yah expects of you, enabling you to do it and receive the blessings. When we ask for guidance we have to be aware of who we are asking. Seeking wise counsel is vital to receiving what is needed. Its not about what we think Yah wants for us. Its about seeking a him through HIS word and our obedience.
Do the conditions of life determine where we place our faith? Or do we walk in faith to Yah, trusting He's in control no matter what happens during the course of time? ~Cory Cabri
In this teaching, I unpack why Torah serves as the constitution and culture of Yah's people, while also showing what Torah cannot do for us apart from true, trusting faith in Yeshua. We'll examine Judaism's oral tradition, the Church's man-made culture, and the urgent need to return to Yeshua-focused Torah living.

How and why are you enticed to leave the Path? • Does Yahweh ever change? • What is the definition of a “remnant”? • By what term are we who are in covenant with Elohim called? • When should you not post anything on social media? • What is the first action you should take after praying when faced with a life issue? • How are you to be “swift to hear and slow to speak”? • What is “Failure to Adult,” and why is it an epidemic today? • A Doer of Work? Before the crown our character is everything. Before David became king his obedience and faithfulness showed through his character. Without our character rooted in Yah's righteousness the crown is nothing and a weak character can destroy a strong calling.

Joey Visits An Overheated Milf On Nude Day, MILF scores her neighbor boy’s cock. Based on a post by silkstockingslover. Listen to the Podcast at Steamy Stories. "It's so fucking hot in here," Sarah Waterton sighed. It was a Friday afternoon in the middle of July, her air conditioning wasn't working, it was a hundred degrees outside, and it didn't feel much cooler than that inside her house; perhaps even hotter; even with all the windows wide open. She was glad her period ended last night. She was about to invite herself over to Carol’s backyard pool. She was doing some dishes wearing only a bikini, and she was seriously considering discarding those two tiny pieces of fabric too, when there was a knock at the door. The mother of two (her daughter Cynthia was away for a summer session at college, and her son Nate had recently graduated from high school) went to the door and was surprised to see Nate's best friend, Joey, standing there. Although she wasn't actually naked, she felt a little self-conscious to be standing in front of an eighteen-year-old guy so scantily dressed. "Hi, Miss Waterton," Joey greeted, trying to keep his jaw from plummeting down to the porch's floor like in a Loony Toons cartoon, since his all-time MILF fantasy was standing right in front of him, in a bikini that couldn't possibly hide her enticingly voluptuous tits. "Hi, Joey. Nate isn't home," she said, taking in the boy's appearance. He was slightly dorky as a younger teen, but he'd pretty much grown into a ruggedly handsome man in the past year. She'd known Joey since he was five, when her young family moved in across the street from Joey’s family. Her son and he had been best friends ever since. "Yeah, I think I left my charger in the basement game room, last time I was here," he said, trying hard not to peer into the valley of pendulous tit ravine that was beckoning him in. "Oh, sure; go ahead and check," Miss Waterton said warmly, letting him through the doorway. She couldn't help noticing he'd taken several glimpses at her swaying tits, with pretty much acres of them showing. He came in and said, "Oh shit, it's a sauna in here!" "Yeah, the air conditioner broke down this morning," the sweaty MILF sighed heavily. "Umm, I could take a look at it," Joey offered, as he tried not to stare at his best friend's Mom's tits too blatantly; and failing. "You could?" she asked as she closed the door, perhaps unwisely, because of the heat. "Yeah, I work during the summers for my Uncle Frank's plumbing and heating business, so I have a fair amount of experience not only with toilets and such, but also air conditioners and heaters," he explained, now admiring her long legs. She was really one hot older woman; and he could easily fill a ‘Big Gulp’ cup full with all the loads he'd shot while imagining he was fucking her. "That would be great," Sarah said gratefully, "I called every company I could google, and they all either didn't answer so I left a message they didn't answer, or they said they couldn't come over until the middle of next week at the earliest." "Yeah, they're all swamped during this heat wave," Joey said. "My uncle took a three-day weekend off for his fortieth wedding anniversary, or I'd be working today too." "Then thanks to you, today is my lucky day," she said. "I can't promise anything, but I'll give it a go," he said, trying not to ignite the throbbing cock in his shorts, and doing his best to hide that he desperately needed to adjust himself. Sarah happened to glance down and see an undeniable tent in the teen's pants. Part of her was flattered that she must have caused that erection, while another part of her was embarrassed for the same reason. "Is there anything you need from me?" He said, "Not really. I'll just go downstairs and take a look at the furnace." "The furnace?" she asked, that not making any sense to her. "Yeah, the air conditioner unit outside runs through the furnace in the basement," he explained, "that's why you can just switch the thermostat on the wall from heating to cooling and back again." "Oh, silly me," she laughed at herself, "that's so obvious." "No worries," he said, "it's likely not something you've ever needed to put any thought into," "I didn't until it stopped working," the sweaty MILF answered sourly. "I'll go check on it." "Okay, thanks." Joey took one more subtle look, or at least he thought it was subtle, at his best friend's Mom's cleavage, before heading downstairs. Sarah noticed his additional peek at her tits and the tent in his shorts as he left. Oddly; and confusingly; she felt a little tingle in her pussy. She supposed it wasn't that odd though, since he was actually a good looking young man. Plus, she hadn't been fucked in eight months. Her husband had left her for another woman two years ago. She'd gone on a couple of dates here and there since, but even though she'd had a terrible quickie eight months ago, when the guy had lasted less than two minutes and left her unsatisfied, she'd only ever come from her toys; of which she had a continuously growing collection, since she had a ferocious sexual appetite. In addition to three different expensive vibrators, she had a suction cup dildo for the bathroom wall, and hidden inside her walk-in closet was a Sybian. Yes, it had been several thousand dollars of expensive, but fuck, did it give her some great orgasms! But with all that said, she'd be lying if she claimed she didn't miss the great sensations of a real man with a living cock. She went to the washroom to pee, washed her hands, and came back to the kitchen to pull out the fixings she needed to make a salad. No way was she turning on the stove today; not even a burner! If Joey couldn't fix the air conditioner, she was definitely going out for dinner, and then perhaps to an air conditioned movie theatre. Once the salad was made, Joey came upstairs no longer wearing a shirt and said, "I'm going out back to look at the outside compressor." "Okay, sounds good," the suddenly distracted MILF said. Yes, she'd realized her son's best friend had bulked up in his senior year, but until this moment, she'd only seen him as Nate's nerdy friend. He'd finished high school with a 98% GPA for the four years, and would be attending UC Berkeley in the fall on a full ride scholarship, yet at this moment while she secretly admired his chiseled, sweaty chest, she saw him for the first time as an attractive man. He headed out the back door, and Sarah watched him leave, looking at him from the back end, and also for the first time, she noticed he had a great ass, and a rippled back. "What the fuck?" Sarah said to herself out loud, shaking her head for looking at her son's friend like he was a piece of meat. She definitely needed to get laid, and soon! She ate her salad, and he came back inside, saying, "I think I know what the problem is." "Is it fixable?" Sarah asked, the eighteen-year-old's impressive chest now all sweaty, and she couldn't help thinking how she'd like to lick that sweat right off of him. "I believe so," he said. "But to be sure, I need to check something else on the furnace." "Okay," she said, unable not to admire his perfect chest and pulsing biceps. While Joey headed downstairs, he sensed she was staring at him. He shook his head to clear away the impossible thought. Although during his senior year, he'd experienced a terrific reversal in his luck with the ladies. After a summer of plumbing work; which is surprisingly strenuous, when you're constantly inching yourself underneath floorboards towards impossible locations and such. He also made regular visits to the gym. In his senior year he was given head by Carrie, a chubby but cute girl on his debate team; then lost his virginity to Betty, a girl he met and competed against in the Speech competition. And he'd even gotten to fuck Amber for the last two months of the school year, a cheerleader who unfortunately was spending the summer in Europe. The suddenly horny MILF shook her head at her inappropriate thoughts. Needing to cool herself down both figuratively and literally, she went to the fridge and just stood in front of it with the door wide open for a few moments. She then took an ice cube from the freezer and slid it up and down and around her neck. It felt so nice to cool down just a bit! The melting ice ran down her chest, just as; "Oh my," Joey said, as he stared at the hottest woman he knew doing something that looked like it was straight out of an eighties sex comedy. His cock, which had gradually dropped into slumber while he worked, was now wide awake again, and ready for action in a heartbeat! But he must have made some noise, because... "Oh my, I'm so sorry!" Sarah apologized, hurriedly tossing the ice cube into the sink. "It's just so hot in here!" "But not for much longer; I almost have it fixed," he said brightly, wishing he could have been that ice cube; well; before she'd tossed it aside. "I just need to get something from my truck, and we'll be in business!" "Really? Sounds great!" she said. He left, and she thought to herself, ‘Oh, my God, how embarrassing!’ She reached for her phone to distract herself from her humiliation, and started scrolling through Twitter. He came back in and went back downstairs. As she scrolled through a bunch of ridiculous political posts that made her sigh at what appeared to be half of the country's idiocy, the discovery of an upcoming Hallmark movie that made her smile, and a funny cat video. She learned that today was National Nude Day (not to be confused with Naked Gardening Day, which was the first Saturday in May). She laughed, And given this heat wave, what a perfect day for it! Still sweating like crazy from the heat, she went and poured two glasses of iced tea; threw in four ice cubes each, so they'd stay cold for at least a few minutes, and went down to the basement to offer her unexpected handyman some ice cold refreshment. To her surprise, the basement was a little cooler than upstairs; which she wished she'd known earlier today. She found Joey with the side panel of the furnace off, tinkering with something. "I brought you a glass of iced tea," she said. "I figured you could use a cold drink." He stood up, accepted the drink and said, "Thanks, Miss Waterton, I could definitely use something cold." "No problem," she said. "And just so you know, now that you're pretty much all grown up, please call me Sarah." "Okay," he said, as he sipped his iced tea and again stared at the perfect body of his best friend's Mom, who was still wearing only her skimpy bikini. Sarah was doing the same thing; admiring her son's best friend's semi-naked body. "So; do you think you can fix it?" "Yes," he nodded. "I'm just trying to get it working temporarily, so I can go to the shop and get a part to fix it properly." "That's amazing!" "No problem." "It's also no problem that I owe you big time," she said. She inadvertently chose that moment to glance down at his crotch. "It's the least I can do," he said, "you've fed me lunches and snacks and things so many times over the years!" Sarah thought to herself, ‘I wouldn't mind you feeding me something right now,’ and then she couldn't believe such things were popping into her head. "Oh, it was my pleasure," she replied blandly, as she wondered how big his cock was. The tent in his shorts again hinted at it being a decent size. "No, the pleasure is all mine, Sarah," he said, in a lame, slightly awkward attempt at flirting. There was silence while Sarah caught the innuendo, and realized she herself had started the innuendo-ing, even if only inside her head. Being a psychiatrist, she knew the subconscious mind often initiated things before a person was consciously aware of them. He downed his drink, knowing he'd said the wrong thing, handed the glass back to her and said, "I should have this thing running at least temporarily in a few minutes." "That'll be great," Sarah said, realizing she'd made him uncomfortable. So she headed back upstairs, shaking her head at herself again. ‘What the fuck is wrong with me? He's eighteen years old! He's my son's best friend! His mother is one of my best friends. And yet; yet; he's fucking hot; and at his age, he can likely reload quickly and give me the multiple fuckings I so badly crave; and want; and need!’ Knowing she'd be using one of her toys the minute he left, she pulled up Literotica, like she often did. She didn't mind watching porn, but she really enjoyed reading porn. She enjoyed the slow burn of a well-written story, while video porn often had no story at all. Lately, she'd been reading gangbang stories, since it was a forbidden fantasy she assumed she'd never experience, but today she told the search engine of the website to look for eighteen-year-olds. To the horny MILF's surprise, the majority of the stories the engine found were about eighteen-year-old girls, including titles like Blacked Out: 18 Year Old Virgin, 18 and Horny, and the crazy title 80-year-old Neighbor. When she found one about a guy and a girl, she also found a guy and sissy one called 18-year-old Spies on 3 Women with the hot summary: 'Women put his young body to good use.' Just the summary made her pussy tingle while she fantasized how she could put Joey to very good use! She also saved Her 18-year-old Neighbor, and Summer Houseguest. She was still scrolling for more, since only the first one had really gotten her intrigued, although she knew she could serve as an excellent hostess to her current guest, if he gave her the opportunity. "Fixed," Joey announced as he came up the stairs, now carrying his shirt in his hand. "Really?" "Yes," he nodded, "but it will take at least a couple hours to get this upstairs area down to a reasonable temperature again." "Well, just knowing it will get cool in here is great," she said, feeling some slightly cool air wafting across her bare feet, since she was standing next to a vent. "May I ask you for a favor?" he asked. "Sure. Anything," she answered, and deep down, she meant it. ‘Just ask me to suck your cock. Just ask me to spread my legs so you can eat my pussy. Just order me to bend over the kitchen counter so you can fuck me’, were all wicked thoughts that popped into the horny woman's head. "Mind if I take a quick shower?" he asked. "Mind? Not a bit," she said and then offered, "Why don't you use mine?" "Really?" he asked. "Yeah, Nate installed a couple of extra sprays on the sides. It really feels wonderful," she replied. She didn't mention that one of the sprays was perpetually aimed to spray directly onto her pussy whenever she turned it on. "That'd be great," he said. "I'm all sweaty." "Yeah, you are," she said, the way a woman would say it in a porn film. Realizing that she hurriedly changed subjects by saying, "Umm, there are towels in the hallway closet right next to my bedroom." "Great, thanks," he said, his cock raging from admiring his fantasy MILF, and also the sexy way she kept looking at him. He left, and she shook her head at herself again. Then, as she heard the shower turn on, a wicked idea popped into her head. She was all sweaty too, so she, could reasonably use a shower! As she embraced the naughty thought, her horniness taking control, she sneaked into her bedroom. She dropped her bikini top and bottom on the floor, and she silently entered the bathroom. She paused to reconsider. ‘Am I really about to do this? Am I really going to enter the shower where Nate's naked best friend is showering?’ As she asked herself these questions, her body decided for her, as it resumed stalking towards the shower. Fate then confirmed the wisdom of her decision when Joey moaned, unaware that his MILF fantasy was right on the other side of the shower curtain, "Oh, yes, Miss Waterton, suck my cock just like that!" as she watched him, with eyes closed, jacking his cock with the hand he'd lathered up to use as lube. Emboldened by this confirmation, that he was as horny for her as she was for him; she slipped by the curtain and stepped into the shower right behind him and as she reached around his body to grab his cock, she whispered in his ear; "I told you to call me Sarah." "Miss Waterton!" he gasped, as he turned around to see his best friend's Mom completely naked, her big, hard nipples staring at him. "No no, I'm Sarah," she corrected him. Then she leaned forward and kissed him. Now say my name. “Sarah;” Joey was stunned! Her hand was on his cock, now stroking him, and her tongue was again in his mouth! He, of course, kissed her back, in awe of his sudden good fortune. When she broke the kiss, she asked, "Did you know today is National Nude Day?" "No," he said, still overwhelmed by what was happening. It's one thing, Joey thought, to fantasize all the time about having sex with your best friend's sexy Mom, but to actually have her hand on your cock and kiss you while you're both naked, was a whole different level of Wow! "Well, it is," she said in her best sexy and sultry tone, "and it seems to me that Fate has decreed you and I should celebrate this special day properly, don't you think?" "Yah, yes," Joey stammered, still trying to wrap his head around the miracle that was suddenly unfolding. "Now let me clean you all up," the sexy Milf said, grabbing the bar of soap and rubbing it all over his chest. "Joey, you've really turned into a sexy man!" "Oh, thanks," he moaned, as she washed his chest with one hand and continued stroking his hard cock with the other. "And I mean you're all man," she said, as she handed him the soap, lowered herself to her knees, and admired his seven-inch cock from very close up. He'd even shaved off all his pubes. Together, we will explore how these timeless instructions reveal Yah's heart for His people and point us toward the deeper rest, restoration, and discipleship found in Messiah Yeshua. n this installment, I invite you to walk with me through Behar–Bechukotai as we examine Sabbath rest, Jubilee, covenant obedience, and the redemptive Kingdom life that Torah points us to in Yeshua.
In this episode, this series on “covenant” is being brought full circle by tracing a single, unified thread running from Abraham to Messiah. Rather than presenting Scripture as a story of replaced covenants, what I am attempting to emphasize is continuity—revealing that Yah's redemptive plan has always been rooted in ONE unbreakable promise. At the center of it all is the distinction between the Abrahamic covenant and the Mosaic covenant. The promise given to Abraham in Genesis 12, and the covenant confirmation in Genesis 15 is shown to be unilateral, irrevocable, and grounded in faith, securing inheritance through the promised Seed, identified as Messiah. In contrast, the covenant at Sinai establishes a conditional, national framework for how Israel was to live as a kingdom of priests within that promise. These covenants are not in opposition to anything, but complementary parts of a larger design and plan. Promise precedes law, and inheritance is rooted in Yahuah's oath. This is where understanding Paul is so important, yet so widely misunderstood today. My hope is that this series has brought some clarity to this topic. This episode highlights a critical turning point at the golden calf incident, where Israel's failure led to a shift from a kingdom of priests to a nation with priests, introducing the Levitical system as a mediated and temporary structure. This system—though holy and beautiful and purposeful—is presented as preparatory, pointing forward to something greater (this is something that will be discussed through the prophets in coming episodes). That “something greater” is the restoration of the Melchizedek priesthood through Messiah. He becomes the perfect sacrifice, bears the covenant curses, and inaugurates a new administration of access to the Most High. This “New Covenant,” prophesied in Jeremiah 31, does not discard the law but internalizes it—writing it on the hearts of believers and enabling true covenant faithfulness from within.A key theme of understanding covenant is understanding access: what was lost through covenant breach is restored through Messiah. The Levitical system regulated access through repeated sacrifices and external mediation, but under the Melchizedek order, believers are invited to “draw near” with confidence through a once-for-all sacrifice and an eternal High Priest.Ultimately, this episode reframes the conversation around Torah, covenant, and obedience. It is meant to challenge the idea of lawlessness while also rejecting a return to shadow systems, and instead calling us into the fullness of what those shadows pointed toward. Fulfillment is not abolition—it is completion.“Recovering the Melchizedek line” means rediscovering our identity as a restored kingdom of priests, living in the reality of Yah's promise to Abraham (and his SeedMessiah) through a transformed heart. This episode serves as both a conclusion and a launching point, setting the stage for deeper exploration into the meaning and implications of the Melchizedek priesthood in the episodes to come.I can't wait. Honoring Leadership Authority (2) (audio) David Eells, 5/6/26 Precious Father, we thank You so much for opening our understanding so that we can cooperate with You in these days to come. Lord, put a sense of Your sovereignty in us that we might know that You are in control of all these things, and that history repeats because there's only One mind in control, and that is Yours, and that we can put our trust totally in You. You are teaching us not to lean upon the arm of the flesh, or the strength of man, but to lean on You in faith, to trust in You as our Savior in all things. And we thank You, Father. Lord, this teaching of honoring leadership authority certainly puts us in a position of weakness, where we need to trust in You to be our defender. And we thank You, Lord, that You are omnipotent, You are all-powerful to take care of Your people, to defend them, and provide for them. And we thank You, Lord. We can trust You. We thank You, Lord. Hallelujah! Amen. In thinking on Revelation 13, how in verse 7 that the beast is making war on the saints, He commands the saints that if any man shall kill with the sword, with the sword must he be killed. The Lord has put us in a position of weakness. Here, the beast is making a physical war on the saints, but they can't do any physical warfare. They need to fight using the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, and trust God as Savior. And it wasn't any different with Jesus. He said to Peter and the disciples, Mat.26:52 Then saith Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into its place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword. In the next verse, He said He could call down twelve legions of angels, if he really wanted to fight. He trusted Himself to God as Savior. We just looked at quite a few promises to the people who will not go out and fight with the beast. And on the other hand, God made quite a few very ominous threats to those who do. There's a revelation in Ezekiel 17, which I'll just touch on. Here's a parable that the Lord gave to me through the word of knowledge, which helped me to understand what was being said. Israel in this story was between two great eagles. One of them was Babylon, and the other was Egypt. Except that the Father pointed out to me that these two eagles represented the same country. And that Egypt here represents a bondage that God's people were to forsake. He forbade them from ever going back to Egypt. And what He meant was Egypt represented the old man in their baptism in the Red Sea. The old man died, and He never wanted them to go back to being in bondage to the old man, or to trust in the strength of Egypt, as He said in Isaiah 30. So you can understand that the beast kingdom, the Great Eagle that was ruling over the nations, at that time was literally Babylon. It was the head of the nations, just like America is today, as the Great Eagle. The Lord showed me in Ezekiel 17 that a civil war would come in which the Great Eagle would be pitted against the Great Eagle. And that's the story here in Ezekiel 17, and many people have never actually seen that, but once it's pointed out to you, it's very clear. Babylon was bringing God's people under dominion. It was taking authority over them, taking their freedom from them. They had their own country, they were free, but now they were coming under the dominion of Babylon. Much like Christianity has been in freedom. But increasingly, we see that it has come under the dominion of the beast, and many laws are taking away Christian freedoms. And that's the parable here. So when He speaks about making a covenant with Israel, He's talking about the end time covenant. Ezekiel represented the Man-child of Revelation 12. Ezekiel was caught up to the throne of God. He saw God. He was ordained of the Lord there, and he received an anointing there in Ezekiel 2, verse 1. When this happened, he immediately began to be called the Son of Man, like Jesus, Who was also the Man-child. Throughout the whole Book of Ezekiel, he's called the Son of Man. The ministry of the Man-child is going to be opposed by the apostate church. The Jews wanted Jesus to fight with Rome, but He would have nothing of it. His battle was always with the Pharisees and the Sadducees. He didn't want any battle with Rome whatsoever. Rome had been given authority over Israel because Israel was rebellious, and Jesus wasn't going to go against His Father. It's the same situation with Ezekiel. He was trying to tell them not to fight with the king of Babylon. Like Jesus and Jeremiah, his battle was with the apostate leadership of God's people. Let's start in Eze.17:11 Moreover the word of Jehovah came unto me, (he's warning the people) saying, 12 Say now to the rebellious house, Know ye not what these things mean? tell them, Behold, the king of Babylon came to Jerusalem, and took the king thereof, and the princes thereof, and brought them to him to Babylon. (Well, this literally was Jehoiachin, who was the king when Babylon came, and took him, took the princes, and thousands of God's people away to Babylon. But then he did something else.) 13 And he took of the seed royal, and made a covenant with him; he also brought him under an oath, and took away the mighty of the land; So here's the word ‘covenant', and the Lord showed me in previous revelations that this person was Zedekiah. His administration was the one that the king of Babylon set up. He took of the seed royal, and he made him a ruler over Israel, and He made a covenant with him. Now, I believe that this first part of Jeconiah and that whole leadership being taken into bondage has already happened. I believe where we're headed now is the covenant, and the covenant was made with the Zedekiah administration. A bondage of the world beast of seven heads and ten horns is coming. I'm going to share a portion of what this ‘taking into bondage' represents, which will be a time in our day. The name of the article is Baiting the False Prophet. Ecc.3:15 That which is hath been long ago; and that which is to be hath long ago been: and God seeketh again that which is passed away. Our modern-day revival of the Roman Empire, the U.S. over the Alliance of Nations, is doing exactly what Constantine did to unite the earth. Those false prophets sat at Constantine's table, and a modern-day false prophet leadership will sit over the Alliance of Nations. A modern equivalent or type has happened. The Reverend Sun Myung Moon, was the leader of the Unification Church. And he claimed that Christ failed in His mission, that he himself was the new Messiah who had come to finish the job and to unite the world through uniting religious forces. Almost all of the well-known evangelical Christian leaders and their organizations were beholden to this man. It was not by accident, it's was by design. He took his work very seriously. As a billionaire, he targeted these influential leaders with the hook and bait of bailouts and grants and political power and prestige, and so on. I couldn't believe how these men showered admiration for this lost man. He brought them what they lusted for while unifying them through his related organizations: the Council of National Policy, the Coalition for Religious Freedom, the Council of 56 of the Religious Roundtable, and others. It is here that he associates them with the leadership of the Central Intelligence Agency, the Council of Foreign Relations, the Trilateral Commission, Freemasonry, all closely tied to the Bilderbergers. Do you think this couldn't happen again on a larger scale? This shadow government was joining the leaders of apostate religions together as a false prophet of unity to the masses of Christians who don't know that they, as a harlot, were being sold into bondage to the beast. History repeats as the apostate leaders were set at Constantine's Round Table to build an end-time Catholic or Universal Church. In like manner, Babylon took the leadership of God's people captive and made a covenant with them. I give these verses Eze.17:12 Say now to the rebellious house, Know ye not what these things mean? tell them, Behold, the king of Babylon came to Jerusalem, and took the king thereof, and the princes thereof, and brought them to him to Babylon. (and that was Jehoiachin or Jeconiah; His name has been used in those two different ways. That's just a different version of the same name.) But then, in verse 13, where we just read, he raised up one of the royal lineages and made a covenant with him. Before I read that, I want to read this. An assortment of other ecumenical movements has worked on the whole religious world to bring this unity to pass. In other words, we see in the United States that this has been an effort for many years but not only that, it's happened around the world. The United Religions Initiative was putting together a UN of all religions worldwide called United Religions in their hope of bringing peace And Dominion. Like Constantine formed to make peace between the religions to bring peace to the world. George Bush, along with influential people like billionaire George Soros, the Dalai Lama, and Reverend Moon, threw their weight behind the UR. And all of this was in preparation for a US/UN/UR type Roman Empire. So they are lusting for a one-world religion, and they are capturing, through devious means, these people who have found themselves in trouble, money-wise. As we have seen “the things that have been shall be. Reverend Moon, who's actually acting for this shadow religious beast government, under the tutelage of the CIA got the leaders out of trouble. So that makes them beholden unto him. All of these historic examples and more have come as a type for the future. Thank God their efforts failed for the time was not yet. This second part is yet to come, and that is verse 13 And he took of the seed royal, and made a covenant with him (that was Zedekiah); he also brought him under an oath, and took away the mighty of the land. And so, when I reached this point, the Lord asked me a question when I got to verse 13, and He said, “In how many verses is the word covenant mentioned?” So I started in verse 13, and as I read, I counted and discovered that it was seven verses. And He pointed out to me that that represented the seven years of the covenant. The word covenant is used in seven verses here. And then He asked me, “How many verses until the covenant is broken?” And I counted, and it was about three and a half, in the middle of the sixteenth verse, where he says, Covenant he brake. And then He asked me, “How many times ‘covenant' is spoken in those seven verses?” And it was spoken six times, the number six is the number of the beast and the number of the covenant. Well, I think it's pretty neat. Reading on, He speaks about the covenant, and also about this puppet of the seed royal that the king of Babylon made the covenant with, that he's the one who broke the covenant and rebelled to fight against the great eagle king of Babylon. And not only that, he went to the great eagle of Egypt to seek help, strength, horses, and so on, to fight with the king of Babylon. Well, that was a very bad thing to do, because Babylon was already conquering Egypt at the time. So there really wasn't going to be any help from Egypt. They put themselves in a very bad position, because now the king of Babylon was making war upon them. And he tells them that they won't escape. You can read it for yourself when you get time. But he also said in Eze.17:19 Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: As I live, surely mine oath that he hath despised, and my covenant that he hath broken, I will even bring it upon his own head. The Lord is saying that these people who fought against the king of Babylon were breaking His covenant. Now, He wasn't talking about the beast covenant being His covenant. He's talking about this being His covenant, the Word of God, and His commands. They had been commanded to submit to the king of Babylon (for chastening) and not to fight with him, and they broke their covenant with God. And he went on to say that these people who fight against the king of Babylon are just like those who will fight against America, in verse 20 And I will spread my net upon him, and he shall be taken in my snare, and I will bring him to Babylon, and will enter into judgment with him there for his trespass that he hath trespassed against me. 21 And all his fugitives in all his bands shall fall by the sword, and they that remain shall be scattered toward every wind: and ye shall know that I, Jehovah, have spoken it. Meaning that those who fight against Babylon, this is the promise that God makes to them. This is a type and a shadow. “That which hath been is that which shall be” … (Ecc.1:9) This is a type and a shadow for our day and the seven-year covenant and what's about to happen when God's people rise up to fight, trusting in the arm of the flesh, because of the mark of the beast. Many other “Christians” will just take the mark to hold on to their standard of living. As we saw, submit does not mean to take the mark. This will cause a civil war in the midst of the Great Eagle kingdom and the Christians will lose as our text proves. The mark is to separate the wheat from the tares for the end approaches. Those without faith in God will take the mark. But a new leadership is being raised up to give last minute understanding to many rebels. 22 Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: I will also take of the lofty top of the cedar, and will set it; I will crop off from the topmost of its young twigs a tender one, and I will plant it upon a high and lofty mountain: That's talking about the Man-child ministry; it was Jesus in His day, and then Jesus in the Man-child ministry in our day as history repeats on a larger scale. The mountain is spiritual Mount Zion. Rev 14:1 And I saw, and behold, the Lamb standing on the mount Zion, and with him a hundred and forty and four thousand (man-child), having his name, and the name of his Father, written on their foreheads. (the mark of God)… 4 These are they that were not defiled with women (False sects of Christianity.); for they are virgins (Having not received the seed or word of man). These are they that follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were purchased from among men, to be the first fruits unto God and unto the Lamb. So, going back to this Jehoiachin administration and the administration that was taken out of that, the Zedekiah administration, and we go to 2 Kings chapter 24, we can see the whole story. And it shows there are two different people: those who rebel and those who don't. He makes promises to those who don't, and He makes judgments upon those who rebel. This is a type and a shadow for our day and what's about to happen. 2Ki.24:10 At that time the servants of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up to Jerusalem, and the city was besieged. And verse 14 And he carried away all Jerusalem, and all the princes, and all the mighty men of valor, even ten thousand captives, and all the craftsmen and the smiths; none remained, save the poorest sort of the people of the land. (This was in the time of Jehoiakim, when they were taken captive, and when Babylon invaded.) 15 And he carried away Jehoiachin to Babylon; and the king's mother, and the king's wives, and his officers, and the chief men of the land, carried he into captivity from Jerusalem to Babylon. 16 And all the men of might, even seven thousand, and the craftsmen and the smiths a thousand, all of them strong and apt for war, even them the king of Babylon brought captive to Babylon. 17 And the king of Babylon made Mattaniah, Jehoiachin's father's brother, king in his stead, and changed his name to Zedekiah. (which means, ‘Yah is might'. This guy felt like he needed to exercise his might against the king of Babylon. They were the people of God, and they thought they didn't deserve this. But Jeremiah, Ezekiel, and the writer of Kings here believed that they did deserve what was happening because it was because of their rebellion. This caused God to deliver them over to the king of Babylon. They felt like they should fight to deliver themselves. In other words, to trust in the arm of the flesh, to go back down to the eagle of Egypt, and let the old man rule.) 18 Zedekiah was twenty and one years old when he began to reign; and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem… And verse 20 For through the anger of Jehovah did it come to pass in Jerusalem and Judah, until he had cast them out from his presence. And Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon. So this is the same place we were in Ezekiel when the covenant was made. He made a covenant with Zedekiah and the people of Israel. They broke it, and rebelled, and they fought. And Jeconiah or Jehoiachin (the same king), and his followers were taken into bondage. And I want to tell you that the leadership of Christianity will repeat history. They will be taken into bondage except for the righteous. And we're coming to the time of this covenant and this civil war that's about to happen during the time of the Great Eagles. And Zedekiah here represents that apostate ministry. It was said of both Jehoiachin and Zedekiah that they did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord. These were evil kings who rebelled against the Lord. And it's the same today. The leadership of God's people is evil as it was in Jesus' time. They have departed from the word of the Lord and done their own thing. And 2Ki.25:2 So the city was besieged unto the eleventh year of king Zedekiah. 3 On the ninth day of the fourth month the famine was sore in the city, so that there was no bread for the people of the land. In their rebellion, God did not defend them, He wasn't preserving them, or feeding them, and He wasn't taking care of them because they had rebelled. He had given them the order to submit, which they hadn't done. And it reminded me of the apostates who had rebelled against him in Isa.65:12 I will destine you to the sword, and ye shall all bow down to the slaughter; because when I called, ye did not answer; when I spake, ye did not hear; but ye did that which was evil in mine eyes, and chose that wherein I delighted not. (Listen to this now.) 13 Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah, Behold, my servants shall eat, but ye shall be hungry; behold, my servants shall drink, but ye shall be thirsty; behold, my servants shall rejoice, but ye shall be put to shame; 14 behold, my servants shall sing for joy of heart, but ye shall cry for sorrow of heart, and shall wail for vexation of spirit. See, this is the exact same thing he says about those who rebel against the king of Babylon and those who don't. He threatens those who rebel with starvation, hunger, and so on. And they eventually flee their land into the nations, and they don't escape even then. This war is going to be totally lost by those who call themselves Christians who stand up to fight will lose this war badly. They're going to be scattered among the nations. And verse 4 Then a breach was made in the city, and all the men of war fled by night by the way of the gate between the two walls, which was by the king's garden (now the Chaldeans were against the city round about); (the Babylonians, the Great Eagle.) and the king went by the way of the Arabah. 5 But the army of the Chaldeans pursued after the king, and overtook him in the plains of Jericho; and all his army was scattered from him. 6 Then they took the king, and carried him up unto the king of Babylon to Riblah; and they gave judgment upon him. 7 And they slew the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes, and put out the eyes of Zedekiah, and bound him in fetters, and carried him to Babylon. Now, the ultimate end of this situation was that these people were the harlot. I'm sure they considered themselves the people of God, but you remember in Revelation 17, at the end of the tribulation, the beast burned the harlot with fire. And it is the same thing here. 8 Now in the fifth month, on the seventh day of the month, which was the nineteenth year of king Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, came Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard, a servant of the king of Babylon, unto Jerusalem. (apostate Jerusalem) 9 And he burnt the house of Jehovah, and the king's house; and all the houses of Jerusalem, even every great house, burnt he with fire. 10 And all the army of the Chaldeans, that were with the captain of the guard, brake down the walls of Jerusalem round about. We see the same story in Jeremiah 24. First, a couple of verses in chapter 23, he said, Jer.23:39 … and I will cast you off, and the city that I gave unto you and to your fathers, away from my presence: Now, why is it in some of the beast attack types, like Assyria, do the people of God escape? Let me read this to you: 2Ch.32:22 Thus Jehovah saved Hezekiah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem from the hand of Sennacherib the king of Assyria, and from the hand of all others, and guided them on every side. 23 And many brought gifts unto Jehovah to Jerusalem, and precious things to Hezekiah king of Judah; so that he was exalted in the sight of all nations from thenceforth. Now, there's the seven-headed beast. Well, Assyria was one of the heads, and Babylon was one of the heads. Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Media-Persia, Greece, Rome, and revived Rome. It's a seven-headed beast. So all of those kingdoms were types and shadows of this end time corporate beast. So how come we see that the time of the Assyrian beast, Jerusalem, and their king were righteous, and they're the only ones that are preserved. Whereas in the time of the Babylonian beast Jerusalem and their king were taken captive? Because we're talking about two different leaderships. God is saying that the backslidden leadership of apostate Jerusalem is going into judgment. And everybody who follows them will follow them into judgment. At the same time, there is a good leadership over the people of God. There is a real Jerusalem, which is the heavenly Jerusalem. So, these people are going to be defended by God; the others are not. That's the difference. There's one unregenerate Jerusalem, as the leadership of God's people, and there's a regenerate. Each one of those beast empires has a type and a shadow for the end time that fits into it. So in Jeremiah chapter 23, He says he's going to cast those apostates off, out of His presence. And Jeremiah, here, represents the Man-child ministry; he's speaking against the rebels, like Ezekiel was doing. What was Jesus doing? Speaking against the rebels like Barabas. Resist not him that is evil, love your enemy, do good to those who despitefully use you, etc. Now, Jer.24:1 Jehovah showed me, and, behold, two baskets of figs set before the temple of Jehovah, after that Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon had carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, and the princes of Judah, with the craftsmen and smiths, from Jerusalem, and had brought them to Babylon. 2 One basket had very good figs, like the figs that are first-ripe; and the other basket had very bad figs, which could not be eaten, they were so bad. 3 Then said Jehovah unto me, What seest thou, Jeremiah? And I said, Figs; the good figs, very good; and the bad, very bad, that cannot be eaten, they are so bad. 4 And the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying, 5 Thus saith Jehovah, the God of Israel: Like these good figs, so will I regard the captives of Judah, whom I have sent out of this place into the land of the Chaldeans, for good. The whole government of America is going to take more authority over Christianity in general. Have you seen that the Christians have lost their rights in the UK while the invaders have rights while Starmer kisses Muslim leaders? The rights that Christians have had to speak to other people, and to raise their children the way they want, and on and on. The rapists are set free. Some are going to fight and try to take the country back but prayer, faith, and spiritual warfare, is the method. Some are not going to fight. But He said that this bondage is coming for good to the good figs, but not so for the bad figs. He said in verse, 6 For I will set mine eyes upon them for good, and I will bring them again to this land: (He's talking about New Jerusalem Paul said we were to come to. Nebuchadnezzar destroyed apostate Jerusalem? So what land and what city were they coming back to? The New Jerusalem and the new land.) … I will bring them again to this land: and I will build them, and not pull them down; and I will plant them, and not pluck them up. 7 And I will give them a heart to know me, that I am Jehovah: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God; for they shall return unto me with their whole heart. Now these are the people who do not rebel against the king of Babylon. And then He starts to speak about Zedekiah and the people who do rebel. 8 And as the bad figs, which cannot be eaten, they are so bad, surely thus saith Jehovah, So will I give up Zedekiah the king of Judah, and his princes, and the residue of Jerusalem, that remain in this land, and them that dwell in the land of Egypt: (who trust in Egypt for strength). 9 I will even give them up to be tossed to and fro among all the kingdoms of the earth for evil; (That's a terrible threat! I think a large portion of Christianity in America will rise up and fight. The more liberal, the more authority used over them, and when their rights have been taken away, the more the corrupt UN demands its rights, the more treaties are made that give the UN authority in the United States. Very leftist treaties are just waiting for more liberal leadership to come in and loose them or agree with them. But God says that these people who rebel are going to be tossed to and fro among the kingdoms of the earth for evil. They're going to be scattered all over the world, and they're not going to be free there …to be a reproach and a proverb, a taunt and a curse, in all places whither I shall drive them. 10 And I will send the sword, the famine, and the pestilence, among them, till they be consumed from off the land that I gave unto them and to their fathers. And why? Because they are rebelling against the word of the Lord. God says, ‘Go to your cross,' and they say, ‘I'm not going.' Jesus went to His cross. The Lord is not necessarily demanding a physical death for His people in this cross. But the ones who rebel will definitely find a physical death. That's what He's saying here. They will repent or be destroyed from the face of the Earth. And the next chapter is all about Babylon conquering the nations of the Middle East. The first one is Israel, which represents the church spiritually. Jeremiah the prophet was the one speaking this judgment upon not only the church but the rest of the world. He was the one speaking this judgment and releasing it through the words that he spoke in verse 2 and all of it was because he said, from verses 4 - 6, that they had not hearkened unto the Lord; they were paying no attention whatsoever to what God said in His word. That's why He said this was coming. Listen, there's a judgment coming very fast upon the people of God. The whole world is going to turn, and the head of the United States, too, is going to turn against Christianity for the sake of peace. You're going to see judgment upon what we loosely call Christianity. Now go to Jer.27:1 In the beginning of the reign of Jehoiakim (some of your Bibles say Zedekiah there; it's supposed to be Zedekiah, not Jehoiakim, because he'd already spoken about Jehoiakim back in verse 26. Now he was coming down to Zedekiah. My Bible says properly, Zedekiah. The Amplified version used Zedekiah here instead of Jehoiakim, because Jehoiakim doesn't fit here at all; somebody made a mistake here.) Jer.27:1 In the beginning of the reign of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, came this word unto Jeremiah from Jehovah, saying, 2 Thus saith Jehovah to me: Make thee bonds and bars, and put them upon thy neck; 3 and send them to the king of Edom, and to the king of Moab, and to the king of the children of Ammon, and to the king of Tyre, and to the king of Sidon, by the hand of the messengers that come to Jerusalem unto Zedekiah king of Judah; 4 and give them a charge unto their masters, saying, Thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel, Thus shall ye say unto your masters: 5 I have made the earth, the men and the beasts that are upon the face of the earth, by my great power and by my outstretched arm; and I give it unto whom it seemeth right unto me. (We know through reading scriptures that God has given the Earth over into the hand of beast kingdoms that persecuted God's people unto repentance. In every case, they had been rebellious, they had ignored His word, it was not important to them to obey, and so He had given them over into the hand of these beast kingdoms, and now it was Nebuchadnezzar's turn.) 6 And now have I given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon (The Great Eagle in Ezekiel 17. In this case, Jeremiah is the one speaking the word against the people of God, as Jesus did and Ezekiel did, and Jeremiah here represents the Man-child. He preached against the rebels, the bad figs.), my servant (That doesn't mean he was a Christian. But he was serving God in the creation of His people. And since they were rebelling, He was going to bring them a necessary chastening.); and the beasts of the field also have I given him to serve him. The beasts of the field or the beasts of the world. The field is the world, and the beasts here represent the other kingdoms of the world. Babylon was the head of the nations. It was the head of the U.N. in its day. That's exactly like America is today. Jer.27:7 And all the nations shall serve him, and his son, and his son's son, until the time of his own land come: and then many nations and great kings shall make him their bondman. 8 And it shall come to pass, that the nation and the kingdom which will not serve the same Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and that will not put their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, that nation will I punish, saith Jehovah, with the sword, and with the famine, and with the pestilence, until I have consumed them by his hand. He's talking here about the bad figs, because that's the exact same wording he used about the bad figs, who were the people who rebelled against the king of Babylon. See, when God sends you a chastening, you don't want to rebel against Him. You want to humbly submit to your cross. And that's what's going on here; these people were rebels, and self-willed and wanted it their way. They had taken control over the kingdom of God, and God was sending a chastening, and He said, ‘Submit.' 9 But as for you, hearken ye not to your prophets, nor to your diviners, nor to your dreams, nor to your soothsayers, nor to your sorcerers, that speak unto you, saying, Ye shall not serve the king of Babylon:(Let me tell you something, we've been hearing from them for some time, that the church is not going under the authority of the beast. “We're out of here. We're flying away.” But that's not going to happen. This is exactly what they were prophesying then.) And even after it happened that the beast, at the end of chapter 28, it says, Jer.28:11 And Hananiah spake in the presence of all the people, saying, Thus saith Jehovah: Even so will I break the yoke of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon within two full years from off the neck of all the nations. And the prophet Jeremiah went his way. (So he said, “Okay, okay, so we did come under the bondage of the kingdom, but we're out of here in two years.” And Jeremiah says, “No, you're not. You're going to be here 70 years. You're not going to be out of here until the Lord visits you.”) For instance, in Jer.29:8 For thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel: Let not your prophets that are in the midst of you, and your diviners, deceive you; neither hearken ye to your dreams which ye cause to be dreamed. 9 For they prophesy falsely unto you in my name: I have not sent them, saith Jehovah. 10 For thus saith Jehovah, After seventy years are accomplished for Babylon, I will visit you, (That's the coming of the Lord. Babylon, in the Book of Revelation, was seven years after this happened. God said He was going to shorten the time. And this is how he shortened it. Seventy years was the type, and it was shortened to seven.) …After seventy (seven) years are accomplished for Babylon, (In other words, your bondage in Babylon, after seven years.) I will visit you, and perform my good word toward you, in causing you to return to this place. Notice, he only said that about the good figs, who were going to return to that place. We just read that. The rebels were not returning. Now, there will be people who are going to rebel, and they're going to repent, and switch sides because they will gain understanding and submit to God. God's going to be with them; He will be their Savior. He's going to forgive them. But there are going to be people who will not repent, and they're going to be what the Bible calls, “the bad figs, very bad they can't be eaten.” He said in Jer.27:10 for they prophesy a lie unto you, to remove you far from your land, and that I should drive you out, and ye should perish. 11 But the nation that shall bring their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him, that nation will I let remain in their own land, saith Jehovah; and they shall till it, and dwell therein. 12 And I spake to Zedekiah king of Judah according to all these words, saying, Bring your necks under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him and his people, and live. 13 Why will ye die, thou and thy people, by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence, as Jehovah hath spoken concerning the nation that will not serve the king of Babylon? 14 And hearken not unto the words of the prophets that speak unto you, (We're going to hear a rash of this stuff, how this is not going to continue, that it's all going to be turned around. We've already heard these false prosperity prophets speaking lies about the things that are coming. All the peace and the prosperity and the blessings. I believe the blessings will be gone after NESARA provides to get the Gospel out. And yet, these are the same people who will rebel.) saying, Ye shall not serve the king of Babylon; for they prophesy a lie unto you. 15 For I have not sent them, saith Jehovah, but they prophesy falsely in my name; that I may drive you out, and that ye may perish, ye, and the prophets that prophesy unto you. Those who rebel are going to receive this judgment. But God said that He was going to bless and preserve, and He was going to give a heart to the people who did not rebel to know Him - the good figs. He called Hezekiah, his leadership, and Zedekiah's people the bad figs. They were going to be swept from nation to nation under the judgment of God until they perished from off the face of the earth. When God's people get stubborn and rebellious against His Word, He raises up a beast to chasten them, to bring them to humility, to turn them back to the Lord, and when He's through doing His sanctifying work on them, then He turns on that beast and destroys it. God separates the harlot from the true church through persecution. When He's through doing that, then He destroys the harlot by the beast. They think, “We're God's people. God's on our side. We'll fly away.” Well, no, He wasn't, because they were rebelling. How many apostate religious people do you know who sincerely believe that they're the people of God, but ignore the Word of God to trust a preacher who doesn't agree with the full Gospel? You can share the Word of God with them, and they will still ignore it, because they're self-willed. God knows what He's doing. If He tells us to submit, and to turn the other cheek, to love your enemy, to do good to them that spitefully use you, then we have to obey Him. That's what our cross is all about. Some people are not willing to give up their carnal life to gain their Godly life, which Jesus commanded us.
Love and Torah – what's love got to do with it? This study series is based on the “Two Great Commands” – love Yahweh and love your neighbor. As he continues in Ephesians chapter 5, Rabbi Steve Berkson untangles common misunderstandings about disobedience, sin, covenant, and what it truly means to love Messiah Yeshua. • What are “empty words”? • What does it mean to be “a partaker with them”? • Who are you to “have no fellowship with”? From there, Rabbi Berkson takes us to 1 Timothy chapter 1 and explains how some have missed the goal of the command given by Paul to his disciple, namely a clean heart, a good conscience, and a sincere belief, and have turned aside to senseless talk, some even teaching that the Torah no longer applies to us today, just that we believe and love Messiah. Then Rabbi Berkson moves us to 2 Peter chapter 1, where we see Peter telling us that we have been given exceedingly great and precious promises by the righteousness of our Elohim and Savior Messiah Yeshua. Rabbi Berkson also points out that belief in Elohim and His Messiah is just the foundation, and that you need to “add” to that foundation certain things. • What is “Kingdom Access”? Rabbi Berkson once again dissects the words in these passages so that you will have a deeper understanding of what Yah expects of you, so that you can do it and receive the blessings. Vines seem harmless but if left alone can slowly choke the life out of a tree. In the same way, unchecked habits, strongholds, and sin can suffocate our spiritual growth. See how Yah's pruning can remove the vines and allow us to flourish.

In this episode, we are going to explore one of the most debated questions within the body: What does it mean when certain verses in the Bible say something was “against us,” “abolished,” or “changed”?Many Believers read verses like Colossians 2:14, Ephesians 2:15, and Hebrews 7 and assume that Yah's law itself was removed. But when we step back and read Scripture carefully we begin to see a much bigger picture. And this bigger picture requires us to go back to Genesis. That is why we started there in this podcast season. Throughout the Bible, Yah's commandments are described as perfect, righteous, and life-giving. So how could something “good” also be “against us?” The key is understanding the difference between the spirit of the law and the priestly ordinances and administrations that were added because of transgression. In this episode, we look at passages that speak about things being annulled, abolished, or changed, and we examine them through the lens of the priesthood. Scripture reveals that Messiah did not abolish God's instructions; rather, He fulfilled the prophetic plan that was already written in the Torah. With His coming, there was a change in priestly administration, returning to the older and eternal order of the Melchizedek priesthood—a priesthood that existed long before Sinai. When we understand this shift, the language of “change” and “abolishment” no longer appears as a contradiction. Instead, it reveals the unfolding of Yahuah's redemptive plan. What seems like disruption is actually restoration—bringing His people back to the promises given to Abraham and the calling to become a kingdom of priests.Visit my website: www.promise-perspective.comFollow on Instagram: @the_promise_perspective Follow on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/promiseperspective Donate on Venmo: https://venmo.com/u/stephanie-green0611Donate on PayPal: http://paypal.me/stephaniegreentppDonate on Patreon: http://patreon.com/thepromiseperspective Your support is greatly appreciated ❤️Contact me: stephanie@promise-perspective.comSupport the show

Yesterday we learned anytime LORD (all caps) appears in your bible, the original Hebrew text was referring to YHWH, the name God revealed of himself to Moses. The name that wasn't spoken, but rather breathed. The breath sound of Yah (inhale), weh (exhale). So, what about the times in scripture Lord is not in all caps? Was this a translation of something different? Yes. Let's find out what it meant then and what it means to us today. Remember, we are studying the names of God to better understand his character, his ways, his nature, and who he is for us personally so we can confidently stand on his promises for us. Psalm 9:10 says, “Those who know your name trust in you, for you, O LORD, do not abandon those who search for you.” This is simply a study in getting to know God's names so we grow in trust of him as he has promised to never leave us. Lord (when NOT in all caps), is the English translation of another name for God in Hebrew, Adonai. We first see the introduction of the name Adonai in Abraham's conversation with God about the promise of countless future descendants. And Abraham replies to God in Genesis 15:2 by calling him , “Adonai YHWH”. The English translation is often LORD God. Here, Abraham is recognizing God as not only his source of life by breathing his holy name YHWY, but also recognizing God as his Master by calling him Adonai. Moses refers to God in this same way in prayer. So does King David, Ezekiel and Daniel. Look for it in your Bible. LORD God means Adonai + YHWH. We know YHWH, so let's get to know Adonai. The Hebrew root word here is “Adan” which means lord and master. When referring to a human master, they were called “adoni” (Ah-doh-NEE – rhyming with knee). But when referring to God as the supreme Master, he is called “Adonai” (Ah-doh-NAI – rhyming with eye). In Biblical times, it was common for a household leader to be master over their servants or for a king to be master over his subjects, even a teacher to be a master over his students. As the master, they were not only in charge, but they were to be the provider, the protector and the decision-maker. The complete care fell as the responsibility of the lord and master. Yes, the master has authority, but the master also assumes responsbility. Now, consider this – Abraham is standing before God as a fatherless old man with a barren old wife, receiving a promise of descendants that number as many as the stars, and Abraham calls him Adonai, Master. God, you have all authority and you are fully responsible for me. I am in your hands. You are in charge here, you are my provider, you are my protector, and you are the ultimate decision maker. Adonai, my Lord, my Master. Every time you see Lord (not in all caps) in your Bible, God is being referred to as Adonai, Lord and Master. Can you call him Lord? Will you call him Master? Is he your Adonai? The world tries to lord over us to control us, so naturally we resist. But God, as Adonai, is our Lord and Master to lead us to good plans of eternal destiny. When you understand God by the name Adonai, you understand a relationship of true belonging. Your life is connected to your master. Your purpose is to serve the purposes of your master. Adonai is your everything, your reason for living – literally. And to the master, you are loyal. You serve not because you have to, but because serving your master is your complete identity. He is the lord over you. Adonai is not your equal. He is infinitely higher and greater than you. Adonai is not just your helper – He is your source of life, your divine designer, your destiny keeper. Adonai is not some angry, tempremental old fella sitting on some distant throne with a big stick, sometimes working for you and sometimes working against you – He is in complete control of his eternally good plans, and those plans include every day of your life before you ever took your first breath. When we call God Adonai, we are confessing, Lord, you are in charge – not me, and I fully surrender to you. When God is your Master, Adonai, you are choosing to follow his will. You're choosing to trust his plan and his timing over your own. Why? Because he is in charge of you, fully, completely, in every way, every day. He is responsible for the details of your life, and he holds it all in his mighty and capable hands. Now remember this if you should you ever question the hand of your Master … it was his hands that were nailed to the cross while he thought of you. It was his nail-scarred hands that made a way for you to be fully forgiven and forever good enough. Can you really trust those hands – oh you bet you can! You can trust Adonai, your Master, to lead you well. You can trust Jeremiah 29:11 to be written all over every detail of your life. “For I know the plans I have for you, says the LORD. Plans to prosper you, not to harm you. Plans to give you hope and a future.” That's the Master's plan for your life – and here's the really good news – the Master's plan is the true MASTER PLAN for your life. It will not fail. Adonai will not fail. He says in Isaiah 46:10, “Everything I plan will come to pass, for I do whatever I wish.” Now receive that personally. Adonai, your Master, WILL NOT FAIL YOU. The Master's plan is for you, not against you, and absolutely nothing can block his plan, cancel his plan, or override his plan. Adonai has no master above him. He holds all power! His plan for your life WILL COME TO PASS. Now that, my friend, should give you absolute confidence. That's who your Master is. That's your Lord. This is Adonai. That's who is in charge of you. This is who is responsible for your care. The one with the good plans and all the power to fulfill them! It might not be natural for you to see a master as a good thing. You may have had a bad boss or a demanding parent or an abusive relationship, and this may have caused you to rebel against all authority and control. That's normal and that's understandable, however it's completely unnecessary with Adonai. Our Master has never misused his power. He has never been wrong. Yes, in the Old Testament he was harsh and even angry over the rebellion of his people, and that's exactly why he sent Jesus as the sacrifice to make us forever good enough. So he wouldn't have to be harsh and angry with his people again. So he could be our Master with love and authority that are never in conflict. Romans 8:28 says, “For we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.” When you truly KNOW (and I mean your heart knows it as well as your head knows it), you know that you know that you know this about God, Adonai, your Master, Lord, then you can enter into a relationship with him of complete surrender and trust for every detail of your life. Do you know just how good God's got you? When God is acknowledged as Adonai, the Master of your life, it's not about losing freedom … instead it’s all about placing your life under the absolute best possible leadership. This is as good as it gets. The one who has declared responsibility for your care, your provision and your future is the one and only God who loved you so much that he gave his son for you. Your Master is the one who knows everything. He is the one who has always seen the end from the very beginning. He is the one who can truly work all things together for good, even the bad parts, and even the parts you don't understand. Oh he's working, and he's working it out for good. Is there an area of your life where you're still trying to act like you're in charge? Is there something you've been holding back? Something you've been questioning God about? Something in your life that hasn't bowed to him as Adonai, Lord and Master? Now that you know this name of God, Adonai, and you know what it means, will you begin using it in your conversations with him? Acknowledge his as your good Master with a good plan and all the power in the world to fulfill it. He is – that's exactly what he is doing in your life. Honor him for it! Love and Torah – what's love got to do with it? This study series is based on the “Two Great Commands” – love Yahweh and love your neighbor. The study begins with Ephesians 3:14. In this teaching, Rabbi Steve Berkson expounds on ‘Strengthening the Inner Man'. If your inner man is weak, you will fall short of the finish line and not complete the race. • How do you identify your weaknesses? • What are the “inner man exercises”? What do you do to strengthen those areas? • How do the trials and challenges in your life help you? • Who are the coaches or trainers who encourage and help you in your training? Rabbi Berkson once again dissects the words in these passages so that you will have a deeper understanding of what Yah expects of you, enabling you to do it and receive the blessings. https://mtoi.org The MTOI App https://mtoi.org/download-the-mtoi-app https://www.facebook.com/mtoiworldwide https://www.instagram.com/mtoi_worldwide Contact MTOI: admin@mtoi.org (423) 250-3020 Join us LIVE (all times Eastern): Torah Study, Fridays 7:30 pm Shabbat Service, Saturdays 1:15 pm Streaming available on YouTube, Rumble, MTOI App, and mtoi.org

Love and Torah – what's love got to do with it? This series explores the “Two Great Commands’—loving Yahweh and loving your neighbor. Building on 1 Corinthians chapter 13, also known as ‘The Love Chapter,’ Rabbi Steve Berkson explains how love can manifest in many forms, such as patience, putting others above yourself, and responding with kindness to those who mistreat or slander you. “The Love Chapter” states that true love does not behave indecently. What exactly is indecent behavior? Can you find a clear description in scripture? Rabbi Berkson discusses how this concept varies across different cultures, societies, and peoples. He also emphasizes the importance of “Situational Awareness” and why practicing it helps you show love to others. Closing “The Love Chapter,” Rabbi Berkson carefully examines every word, phrase, and verse to help you, even if you’ve read this chapter many times before, gain an even deeper understanding of what it means to love one another. Rabbi Berkson once again breaks down these passages so you can better understand what Yah expects from you, enabling you to act accordingly and receive His blessings. https://mtoi.org The MTOI App https://mtoi.org/download-the-mtoi-app https://www.facebook.com/mtoiworldwide https://www.instagram.com/mtoi_worldwide Contact MTOI: admin@mtoi.org (423) 250-3020 Join us LIVE (all times Eastern): • Torah Study, Fridays 7:30 pm • Shabbat Service, Saturdays 1:15 pm Streaming available on YouTube, Rumble, MTOI App, and mtoi.org
