Love and Torah – what's love got to do with it? This study series is based on the “Two Great Commands” – love Yahweh and love your neighbor. As we continue to look at King David, the man after Yahweh's own heart, and his writings starting in Psalm 119:126, Rabbi Steve Berkson teaches us verse by verse to understand the emotions and thoughts King David experienced to cause him to write them down. As we understand, we can apply these emotions and thoughts to our lives. After all, it's through our experiences that Yahweh ‘makes us to understand.' Every organization, corporation, state, country, etc. has a vertical structure with someone or something at the top and those under who are subject to the level above and responsible for those who are under. The Kingdom of Messiah has the same kind of vertical structure. This is necessary for the smooth and functional operation of the forward movement of the Kingdom. This vertical Kingdom structure is in place right now and everyone within the structure should know and understand their function. Rabbi Berkson once again dissects the words in these passages so that you will have a deeper understanding of what Yah expects of you, so that you can do it and receive the blessings. The Skeptical Shaman
An Even Exchange Of Energy, with Yolanda Williams

In this special, Business of Woo-themed episode of The Skeptical Shaman podcast, host Rachel White (of TOTEM Readings) reconnects with the absolutely luminescent Yolanda Williams (of the Reiki Radio Podcast) to chat all things "Wusiness of Boo". That's actually not a typo. Unfortunately, it's how Rachel pronounced "Business of Woo" before she could gather herself at the beginning of this episode!Up first? Yolanda opens up the proverbial kimono to get really real about expectations around pricing and payment as a reiki practitioner, dispelling outdated myths permeating the Business of Woo and explaining why there needs to be an even exchange of energy for this work.Yes, it's shocking but true: people actually expect Woo-based business owners to undertake their services-- including energy work, psychic sessions, and much, much more-- for FREE. Not sure how they think practitioners are going to pay rent or buy groceries...maybe they think psychics and reiki practitioners can just "manifest money" with invisible magic?Yah, I know. When you put it in writing, it sounds nuts, doesn't it? That's because it IS NUTS. Those of us in the Business of Woo spend years of our life and tens of thousands of dollars on continued education and certifications to bring these services to the marketplace-- not to mention the fact that this is how we make our living..and pay our bills!Yolanda also details how (and why) her Woo-based business has evolved over the years to support her as a whole human being-- and not just a human "doing". The Business of Woo is a super client-session and client-facing labor-intensive model, and while practitioners love their work and feel a deep sense of purpose, the potential for burnout is REAL. This means that practitioners need to not only charge a fair fee for their time and talent, but they also need to get creative about ways to disseminate their knowledge via online courses, digital downloads, and books and manuals. Yolanda is the perfect guest to kick off this latest Business of Woo series of The Skeptical Shaman podcast, bringing a vulnerable and authentic-- but ultimately uplifting-- perspective to this dialogue. Rachel's LINKS:Rachel's Website: https://www.totemreadings.comTOTEM Readings Substack: https://totemrach.substack.comRachel's Other Links: https://linktr.ee/totemrachOur Sponsors' LINKS:The TOTEM Flower Essence Deck: https://a.co/d/gw16LsGThe TOTEM Tarot Deck: https://totemreadingsatx.etsy.com/listing/1492934343The TOTEM Flower Essences: https://www.etsy.com/shop/TotemReadingsATXTOTEM Spiritual Transformation Coaching: https://www.totemreadings.com/coachingTOTEM Business of Woo Mentoring: https://www.totemreadings.com/business-of-wooYolanda's LINKS:http://instagram.com/reikiradiohttp://theenergeticalchemist.comPlease note: The views and opinions expressed on The Skeptical Shaman do not necessarily reflect the official policy or position of the podcast. “So now, this is what the Sovereign Lord says: I will end the captivity of my people; I will have mercy on all Israel, for I jealously guard my hold reputation! They will accept responsibility for their past shame and unfaithfulness after they come home to live in peace in their own land, with no one to bother them. When I bring them home from the lands of their enemies, I will display my holiness among them for all the nations to see. Then my people will know that I am the Lord their God, because I sent them away to exile and brought them home again.” - Ezekiel 39:25-28My guest today has previously started his teaching on Ezekiel this way: “Why in the world would anybody want to read Ezekiel let alone study this unbelievable and incomprehensible book?” When I heard this - I immediately knew he was the guy I wanted to help us navigate this book. Ezekiel is a diamond in the rough in the canon of the prophets. It's message is similar to the prophets we've read already, Isaiah and Jeremiah, but with an element we hadn't quite seen before. Right away in chapter 1 Ezekiel says, “From the center of the cloud came four living beings that looked human, except that each had four faces and four wings.” Again - this is chapter 1. We're clearly off to something a little different with Ezekiel. And there's nobody better to help us navigate this different book than Dr. Daniel Block. Dan is the Gunther H. Knoedler Professor Emeritus of Old Testament at Wheaton College and wrote a commentary on Ezekiel in 1998 that is still considered the gold standard commentary on Ezekiel. And you know what, Dan is still working on Ezekiel to this day. Doable Discipleship is a Saddleback Church podcast produced and hosted by Jason Wieland. Wisdom's Cry
Breath as Offering: A Christopagan Practice

Wisdom's Cry

Play Episode Listen Later Sep 2, 2025 21:40

Breath is so ordinary that we forget it is extraordinary. It comes unbidden, steady as a tide, unnoticed until something interrupts it. We know the sudden gasp of fear, the shallow rise and fall of exhaustion, the ragged breath when we are sick. Yet beneath all those moments lies the same truth: breath is life.In this episode of Creation's Paths, we began with the simple reminder that life in our breath is our life. Too often, spiritual traditions turn breath into something to control, to discipline, even to constrain. An effort at restraining life itself. But the practice we explored was not about constriction. It was about letting breath become prayer, letting the air itself speak the Name of the Divine. This is the kind of practice that first feels like a gentle breeze on a cool fall day: soft, refreshing, peaceful. But it doesn't stop there. Beneath that quiet surface, the practice deepens, grounding us like roots pushing into rich soil and rising like the charged air before a storm. Breath becomes both anchor and surge, weaving us into the great current of life. The practice begins with ancient names. Matthew Fox, in his teachings on Radical Prayer, pointed to a way of praying the Tetragrammaton, the four-letter Name of God, by shaping the mouth and throat as though speaking YHVH while breathing in and out. No vocal cords, no sound, only the rush of air forming sacred syllables. The Name itself becomes breath.Later, Rabbi Rami Shapiro deepened this understanding in Judaism Without Tribalism, distinguishing two ways we encounter the Divine: Yah, “I Am,” the inward presence; and Ehyeh, Being itself beyond us. Breath carries both: the inhale, “Yah,” turning us inward, centering us in selfhood; the exhale, “Ehyeh,” releasing us outward into community, creation, and relationship.Jewish tradition also speaks of two inclinations, the yetzer ha-ra (the self-directed impulse, sometimes mistranslated as “evil”) and the yetzer ha-tov (the communal or altruistic impulse, “good”). Breath, again, becomes the place of balance: the inhale honors the self's need for oxygen, life, renewal; the exhale honors the world's need for creativity and creation it's self. In this back-and-forth, the Name of God becomes the rhythm of our very existence.Layered upon these roots are Creation Spirituality's Four Paths: Positiva (awe and wonder), Negativa (letting go, emptiness), Creativa (birthing newness), Transformativa (healing and justice). Breath can move through these paths, each inhale and exhale carrying us through transformation, wonder, surrender, and creativity. What begins as simply saying the Name with breath grows quickly into a deep meditation on self and cosmos. Inhaling, we are filled, self affirmed, grounded, alive. Exhaling, we are emptied, poured out for others, surrendered into communion. It is the yesh and the ayin, fullness and emptiness. The practice reveals subtle truths: selfishness is not always evil, for inhaling is necessary to live. Selflessness is not always holy, for endless exhaling leaves us collapsed. We need both: the courage to take in life for ourselves and the generosity to release life for others. Brian put it plainly: if all we do is inhale, we faint; if all we do is exhale, we expire. There is also mystery here. Each breath can feel like the ocean becoming a drop and the drop returning to the ocean. Each cycle of fullness and emptiness is a miniature creation, a tide that carries both the particularity of the self and the vastness of the cosmos. Thich Nhat Hanh called mindfulness the greatest magic because it brings us into the only moment that exists, the present. In this practice, mindfulness and prayer merge, each breath becoming spell, prayer, offering.Breath touches everything. What I exhale becomes food for trees; what trees exhale becomes food for me. Breath connects species, people, and places into one vast circulatory system of life.Prayed in this way, breath also connects traditions. It holds the Jewish mystical sense of the Divine Name too holy to speak, yet spoken in every breath. It carries the Christian vision of the Spirit as breath or wind (ruach, pneuma), moving in and through all. It resonates with Buddhist mindfulness of breathing as doorway to presence. It sits comfortably in Druidry, which sees the breath of the wind as the breath of the world.Breath also connects the personal and the political. Our balance between inhale and exhale mirrors the balance between self and community, between individual needs and collective responsibilities. Too much inwardness leads to narcissism; too much outwardness leads to unthinking conformity. But when the two dance together, we breathe justice. The advanced practice Brian offered makes this even more explicit: inhaling as transformation, holding in awe, exhaling as surrender, holding in creativity. This rhythm trains us not only to pray but to live: taking in the world's wounds, holding them in wonder, releasing them in service, and pausing long enough to let new worlds gestate. So how do we embody this? Begin simply. Sit or lie down comfortably. Let your shoulders relax. Inhale, shaping your mouth as though saying “Yah.” Exhale, shaping your lips as though saying “Ehyeh.” Don't force sound, let the air itself be the word.Feel the rhythm: fullness and emptiness. Notice the peace, like a cool autumn breeze. Notice the grounding, like roots drinking deeply. Notice the rising energy, like the charged air before a storm. Let your awareness sharpen until you feel not just your lungs but the whole web of life breathing with you.Practice safely. Don't force breath-holds. Don't clench your throat. This is not a contest of endurance. It is prayer. Breathe naturally, gently, and if discomfort rises, release. In time, you may add the pauses. After an inhale, hold for awe. After an exhale, hold for creativity. Let the Four Paths shape your breath: becoming, beholding, surrendering, birthing. Let the cycle turn until it becomes second nature, until every breath becomes a liturgy of transformation. This is not meant to be lofty or distant. It can be morning centering, evening unwinding, or a quick re-grounding in the middle of the day. It can accompany your prayers, or it can be your prayer. What matters is that it keeps you alive to the presence of Spirit in and around you.For me, this practice begins as peace: a soft breath, like the wind through trees on a fall afternoon. That peace sinks into my bones as grounding, reminding me that life is not abstract but in this air, this body, this earth. Then, without warning, the peace turns electric, a rising surge like storm-air alive with possibility. Awareness sharpens. Connection hums. I feel the life of trees, the pulse of animals, the hush of stones, all tied together by breath. This practice reminds me that holiness is not locked in temples but carried in our lungs. Every inhale is the gift of being. Every exhale is the offering of self. Breath is the Name of the Holy One, spoken not with voice but with life. And so my prayer is simple: may we learn to notice our breath. May we let it carry us into peace, root us in life, and awaken us to the storm-charged presence of the Divine all around. May each breath we take be offering, communion, and blessing. Amen. Thanks for reading! Love and Torah – what's love got to do with it? This study series is based on the “Two Great Commands” – love Yahweh and love your neighbor. This episode from the beginning of Sukkot starts with Rabbi Steve Berkson taking us to the passage in the Gospel of John, chapter 7, where we see Yeshua Messiah standing up at the day called Shemini Atzerat which finishes the feast, declaring Himself to be the Waters of Life. Rabbi Berkson points out that Messiah said “Anyone who thirsts…” – but does everyone get to drink? From there Rabbi Berkson takes us to John 4:5-15, the story of the woman at the well, where Messiah Yeshua offered Living Water to her and also declared to her, one of only two people, that He was the Messiah. Rabbi Berkson points out the time of day this happened from which he brings a “deeper understanding” as to what the time of day had to do with the story which was the sixth hour of the day. What could be the “hour of man”? From there we go back to Psalm 119, but before he gets into that Rabbi Berkson gives instruction and encouragement in regards to studying the Word. It matters not how you do it – just do it, the way you do it. Then going into Psalm 119 starting in verse 114, Rabbi Berkson reminds us the purpose of taking this psalm verse-by-verse is that you would place yourself in the shoes of King David. You should feel what he felt through the words he wrote. Then you should apply the same love for Torah and place the same value and importance to your walk as he did. Who are the “evil-doers”? How does the Scripture define evil? Rabbi Berkson shows us plainly. Who or what are the “witnesses”? Rabbi Berkson expounds how these impact our lives. Rabbi Berkson once again dissects the words in these passages so that you will have a deeper understanding of what Yah expects of you, so that you can do it and receive the blessings. What we sing and how we sing it shapes us in many ways. In the Bible singing plays a major role. This is especially true when believers gather. The Scriptures in both the Old Testament and the New Testament command us to sing and gives examples. The earliest recorded song I find in the Bible is Exodus 15:1ff Then Moses and the children of Israel sang this song to Yahweh, and said,“I will sing to Yahweh, for he has triumphed gloriously.    He has thrown the horse and his rider into the sea.2 Yah is my strength and song.    He has become my salvation. This is my God, and I will praise him;    my father's God, and I will exalt him.3 Yahweh is a man of war.    Yahweh is his name. WEBMoses concluded his mediator prophet role by composing and singing a song recorded in Deuteronomy  32. Give ear, you heavens, and I will speak.    Let the earth hear the words of my mouth. My doctrine will drop as the rain. My speech will condense as the dew,    as the misty rain on the tender grass, as the showers on the herb. For I will proclaim Yahweh's name. Ascribe greatness to our God!The Rock: his work is perfect, for all his ways are just. A God of faithfulness who does no wrong, just and right is he.An example of the importance of singing God's truth is the experience of Paul and Silas recorded in Acts 16. After being grossly mistreated and thrown into jail,  About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them. This is the Paul who later wrote to the churches in Colossians 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.and Ephesians 5:19 be filled with the Spirit, addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart,  giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.Paul's teaching echoes the commands and example of the Psalms.Psalm 68:4 Sing to God, sing praises to his name;      lift up a song to him who rides through the deserts;his name is Yahweh;      exult before him!Psalm 104:33 I will sing to the Lord as long as I live; I will sing praise to my God while I have being. To aid yourself and others secure a hymnbook, a hymnal- use it at home.We need to read the Word, memorize the Word and sing the Word to God in worship to others in teaching, testimony and exhortation and to ourselves in encouragement, understanding and prayer.Bible Insights with Wayne ConradContact: 8441 Hunnicut Rd Dallas, Texas 75228email: Att. “Joy has left our hearts; our dancing has turned to mourning. The garlands have fallen from our heads. Weep for us because we have sinned. Our hearts are sick and weary, and our eyes grow dim with tears. For Jerusalem is empty and desolate, a place haunted by jackals. But Lord, you remain the same forever! Your throne continues from generation to generation.” Lamentations 5: 15-19The book of Lamentations picks up right where Jeremiah left off. Jerusalem has fallen and the prophet Jeremiah is left weeping at what has occurred. Lamentations, though not necessarily easy to read, is a beautiful book showing the heart of a man so burdened with grief for the choices that the people of Jerusalem had made. It's also a picture of God's heart, grieving for his chosen people to return to him. But like the book of Jeremiah, Lamentations is not without hope. We are treated to a beautiful reminder of the faithfulness of God and that hope continues to rest in him and him alone. To help us navigate the book of Lamentations is Dr. Danny Hays, author of the Teach the Text commentary on Jeremiah and Lamentations.Doable Discipleship is a Saddleback Church podcast produced and hosted by Jason Wieland. Love and Torah – what's love got to do with it? This study series is based on the “Two Great Commands” – love Yahweh and love your neighbor. As we explore Psalm 119, we begin this episode in verse 99 and ask the question, Why would you love the Torah? Rabbi Steve Berkson lists the reasons for giving your love and life to the Torah of Yahweh. Why would King David say that he's smarter than his teachers? What teachers? Did King David have a problem with arrogance? Do you? What does it mean to “restrain my feet”? Doesn't Satan cause me to do wrong? How do you picture Satan, the devil? Would you recognize that creature if it were before you? How does our Creator define evil? How do humans define evil? Do the definitions match? In what way will living in the Millennium be harder for some? What will be taken away from humans once haSatan is bound for a thousand years? Love and Torah – what's love got to do with it? This study series is based on the “Two Great Commands” – love Yahweh and love your neighbor. Continuing in Psalm 119, the question Rabbi Steve Berkson asks of you is, as you read the writings of King David can you feel and think the same way he did? The reason King David has been referred to as a man after Yahweh's own heart is that King David let the same mind as Yahweh be in him, as the apostle Paul wrote in his letter to the Philippians – “let this mind be in you that was also in Messiah Yeshua.” Rabbi Berkson once again dissects the words in these passages so that you will have a deeper understanding of what Yah expects of you, so that you can do it and receive the blessings. “But this is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: I will certainly bring my people back again from all the countries where I will scatter them in my fury. I will bring them back to this very city and let them live in peace and safety. They will be my people, and I will be their God. And I will give them one heart and one purpose: to worship me forever, for their own good and for the good of all their descendants. And I will make an everlasting covenant with them: I will never stop doing good for them. I will put a desire in their hearts to worship me, and they will never leave me. I will find joy doing good for them and will faithfully and wholeheartedly replant them in this land. - Jeremiah 32:37-41Jeremiah is a book not for the faint of heart. It's a big book, 52 chapters and with a greater word count than any other book in the Bible. It's a troubling book - the warnings from a prophet of God telling people what is going to befall them if they don't repent and turn back to the God of their ancestors. It's a sad book as it tells of the destruction of Jerusalem. There's no doubt, Jeremiah is a behemoth of an Old Testament book. But, it's not a book to ignore by any means. At its heart, even with the difficult things in the book, Jeremiah is still a book about hope. It's still a book about the faithfulness of God. The passage I read at the beginning from Jeremiah 32 makes that clear. We learn so much about God in this book - it's truly a rich, theological text. But like I said, it's not for the faint of heart so to help us navigate this book today is Dr. Jerry Hwang, author of the ESV commentary on Jeremiah. Doable Discipleship is a Saddleback Church podcast produced and hosted by Jason Wieland. 1 Kings 7 verses 1-12 describes the building of Solomon's own magnificent palace - containing a grand hall called the Forest of Lebanon because of the magnificent cedar pillars. It was approximately 45 metres in length and 24 metres wide. It took 13 years to build. He also constructed an impressive palace for Pharaoh's daughter who may be the subject of Psalm 45 and the Song of Solomon. The timber work of cedar and the magnificent gemstones were characteristic of these houses. Verses 13-51 describe the furnishings of Yahweh's House. Both were magnificent, but, the description of God's house occupies the bulk of the chapter. A comment on the two pillars of entry into the house; one was called 'Yachin' meaning established by Yah; and the other'Boaz' the strong one. It was a parable about the Lord Jesus Christ- Yahweh will establish through the one He strengthened. In chapter 33 of Jeremiah we are told of the blessings of our Sovereign, when He brings peace and security; when the fortunes of Judah are restored. Verse 1-3 contains a plea from the Sovereign LORD to call upon Him and He will respond. The thoughts are similar to those expressed in Hosea 2 verses 21-23 and it follows on from the ideas outlined in Jeremiah 32 verses 37-41. Verses 4-5 tell of judgment that the Chaldeans will bring to guilty Judah. Verses 6-13 return to the blessings that will come to a repentant nation. Verse 9 focuses on the time when Jerusalem will be a city where God's truth resides and will be to the LORD for praise and glory: Zechariah 8 verses 11-23. Note well the joy in that city, ie equivalent to the rejoicing between the bridegroom and the bride - symbolic of our Lord Jesus Christ and his ecclesia. Verses 14-26 speak of that time when Yahweh's eternal covenant with David will be operational. God states that this covenant can never be broken, and can be relied on as the sun and moon rise each day. Contemplate the wonderful words of verse 15 ESV: "In those days and at that time I will cause a righteous branch to spring up for David, and he shall execute righteousness and justice in the land". This is speaking of our Lord Jesus Christ. Compare the message of Zechariah 3:8-10. Slowly read aloud these verses and marvel at the blessings that Messiah's kingdom will bring. The 7th chapter of Mark contrasts worship that has been nullified by tradition, with true worship from the heart. The Pharisees found fault in Jesus' disciples who washed not after tradition. The Pharisees were noted for their elaborate ceremonies when washing: they washed so as to prevent water contaminated by dirt from contacting their hands. Our Lord used this situation to tell that legalism was symptomatic of the worship of that time. He spoke of the gross avoidance of responsibility contained in the 5th commandment by the ruse of Corban. Then he showed that defilement is a moral, not a physical, matter. This originated in the mind. The record follows with the curing of the Syrophenician woman's daughter; made possible through her great faith, and the acknowledgment that Israel were God's chosen people. She illustrates the importance of being associated with God's covenant people and on the basis of her faithful confession she gratefully receives the abundant crumbs that fall from the children's table. As Jesus says to the woman of the well at Sychar: "Salvation is from the Jews" John 4 verses 22-26. The chapter concludes with the healing of a deaf and dumb man from the Decapolis.More here https://christadelphianvideo.org/christadelphian-daily-readings/

1 Kings 1 shows the circumstances that brought Solomon to the throne while David was yet alive. This proves that the promise of 2 Samuel 7 centred on another, who we know as the Lord Jesus Christ. It was brought about by the attempted usurpation of the throne by yet another of David's sons, Adonijah. Nathan the prophet together with Bathsheba, David's wife and Solomon's mother, recover the situation. Solomon is crowned king and the conspirators - Adonijah, Abiathar and Joab - abjectly slink away in defeat. Adonijah went into the Tabernacle to grab hold of the horns of the altar, thus seeking asylum. Adonijah is brought before Solomon and pays homage to king Solomon who shows him mercy. It was in that notable year - the fourth of Zedekiah and the first of Nebuchadnezzar - that the events recorded in Jeremiah 28 occurred. This time in the fifth month of that eventful year the false prophet Hananiah; meaning "Yah is gracious" had not spoken truly in claiming to be the LORD's prophet and had told lies so he was doomed to die a false prophet. Jeremiah is commanded by God to make and wear a wooden yoke and to take the message for Judah to submit to Nebuchadnezzar. Hananiah prophesies that the Babylonian king's power would be broken within 2 years and those who were currently exiled in Babylon would return. Jeremiah said that he wished it could be so. Then Jeremiah issued a prophecy which proved which of the two - Jeremiah or Hananiah - was Yahweh's prophet. Hananiah would die that same year for the rebellion taught against God. This happened within 2 months.Mark's second chapter records Jesus as being home in Capernaum (city of consolation - ie of the Gospel message). It was in all likelihood the synagogue near Peter's home. The miracle of healing the paralytic man, who is carried by his four persistent friends was a marvellous example of the determination and faith of these five men. In healing the paralysed man Jesus declared that by the faith of this man he had been made whole. Jesus shows his power, not only over diseases, but even over sin and death. In associating with tax collectors, and being criticised for so doing, our Lord describes his mission as to those who recognise their illness. Christ answers an enquiry about fasting and says that his disciples need not fast while they enjoyed the Bridegroom's company. Jesus tells a parable about new and old cloth. The parable reveals that the Jewish leaders were stayed in their ways and couldn't coexist with Christ's so called new and radical teachings. Finally our Lord defends his disciples who were accused of having violated the Sabbath. Jesus shows that their needs stood above the need to "keep" the Sabbath (citing 1 Samuel 21 as the precedent) and that further to that, Jesus is 'Lord of (or over) the Sabbath'.More here https://christadelphianvideo.org/christadelphian-daily-readings/

Love and Torah – what's love got to do with it? This study series is based on the “Two Great Commands” – love Yahweh and love your neighbor. Continuing in Psalm 119, Rabbi Steve Berkson shows us from the writings of King David the love he had and expressed toward the Law/Torah. As we look at King David's writings, what becomes apparent is the range of emotions he expresses toward Yahweh and His commandments, statutes and ordinances. Rabbi Berkson shows how to see ourselves in the actions and feelings of those we read and hear about in the scriptures. Not only to see ourselves, but also how to conduct ourselves possibly in a different, better way. Rabbi Berkson once again dissects the words in these passages so that you will have a deeper understanding of what Yah expects of you, so that you can do it and receive the blessings. Joab, in chapter 19 of 2nd Samuel, rescued the situation that had developed with David morosely lamenting Absalom's death and his people and warriors slipping silently away. Joab brought order to what could have turned out to be a total disaster. The king understood the need for healing and being seen to be once more in control. Now that Absalom is dead and the rebellion totally overturned David forgives his recent enemies. Mephibosheth is restored to favour, although somewhat dismissively by the king. Barzillai is rewarded for his kindness and loyalty to the king. Because of his aged condition Barzillai's favour was given to his favourite servant Chimham. A full reconciliation is achieved within the nation.Jeremiah was the prophet in the court of the treacherous and vacillating monarch, Zedekiah - whose name meant "the righteousness of Yah". Note how in verse 4 of Jeremiah 23 the prophet indirectly denounced the king. The same denunciation was made in more scathing words by the prophet Ezekiel, who was beyond the retaliatory reach of Zedekiah in Babylonian exile many hundreds of kilometres away (Ezekiel 21:25-27). From verses 9-22 the lying prophets and their effects on the nation are lamented and denounced. Judah had acted as though her Sovereign was distant and uninterested in what His people were doing. This was the furthest thing from the truth and therefore Yahweh must discipline them.In the 10th chapter of Romans Paul tells us what faith is and how it originates and affects the children of the Almighty. Sadly natural Israel had failed to understand what God's righteousness was and had sought, impossibly to establish their own based on a meritorious system of law keeping. In verses 5-13 the argument is developed from the time of Moses, and based on the words of Deuteronomy 30 that salvation is beyond human effort, but rather dependent upon God's firstly raising up (or producing a sinless saviour) and consequently, able to resurrect him from the dead. Our part is to accept and believe it. The chapter concludes with the fact that this is incredibly good news for us, who would be totally lost without this. Faith, he concludes is based on hearing the Word of God.Chapter 11 of Romans is about national Israel, God's Chosen People, and the Gospel. Some points made include the following:- 1) the Lord God of Israel has never abandoned His people; 2) God has always raised up a remnant among them, to be saved by grace; 3) it has always been been Yahweh's purpose to save the faithful from all nations; 4) the inclusion of the Gentiles was intended to provoke natural Jews to return to their roots and the Father's original purpose for them; 5) Israel's restoration represents a national resurrection and is a token of the nearness of Christ's Kingdom which will be presaged by the resurrection of the dead; 6) the Scriptures abundantly attest this including the words of Joel 3 verses 16-17, 7) And this plan was always our Sovereign's purpose and He never changes from His determined will; 8) we must be in awe and marvel at the riches and wisdom of the Almighty. The great Apostle Paul marvels at the wisdom and foresight of the Almighty. Nothing has happened in His plan to save faithful Jews and Gentiles that the Father had not foreseen. We look forward to the day when the Deliverer will come to Zion and turn away ungodliness from Jacob, and so save Israel, a nation far degraded from its calling as illustrated in the current Jeremiah readings. Read verses 33-36 aloud and praise our Omnipotent Sovereign for His love and merciful kindness.e saved could on one basis alone - by faith in the foundation stone the Father set in Zion (Isaiah 28 verse 16) His beloved Son, our Lord Jesus Christ.More here https://christadelphianvideo.org/christadelphian-daily-readings/

Love and Torah – what's love got to do with it? This study series is based on the “Two Great Commands” – love Yahweh and love your neighbor. As he begins this lesson, Rabbi Steve Berkson explains that in the Christian world, it is just love and no Torah, and then asks the question, “What does that look like?” He explains that your expression of love toward the Creator is submission, as Messiah Yeshua said, “If you love me, keep my commands.” What does the movie Charlie & the Chocolate Factory have to do with the Kingdom of Elohim? Rabbi Berkson then turns to Psalm 119 to show us the heart of King David and what he wrote about his love for the Torah of Yahweh. Rabbi Berkson once again dissects the words in these passages so that you will have a deeper understanding of what Yah expects of you, so that you can do it and receive the blessings. Send me a DM here (it doesn't let me respond), OR email me: imagineabetterworld2020@gmail.comToday I'm honored to introduce you all to: Satanic ritual abuse, mind control, Stargate, Freemason, Jesuit, and organized abuse survivor, overcomer and whistleblower, loving mother, founder of ‘The Quickening Project', content creator and podcast host, faithful servant to the Most High, gardener, floral design extraordinaire, singer and songwriter, poetry reader and writer, and absolute inspiration: KadayaKadaya's life began in a web of multigenerational abuse, orchestrated by a high-level cult with ties to Freemasonry, the Vatican, the Jesuits, and military intelligence programs. From infancy, possibly even in utero, she endured deliberate trauma designed to fracture her psyche, creating dissociative identity disorder to mold her into a mind-controlled operative. As a child, she was forced to participate in heinous acts, including filming snuff films on a church “missions' trip”, under the guise of helping an orphanage. Her abusers, including a 33rd-degree Freemason programmer who studied neurology to perfect mind control, exploited her high IQ and spiritual gifts, using children's books like Dr. Seuss, and the music from and keys of a piano to create a highly organized system of alters.Despite this, Kadaya's awakening began in her 20s when chronic illnesses defied medical diagnoses, hinting at trauma-based origins. As memories of ritual abuse flooded back three years ago, she faced disbelief from family, friends, and authorities, culminating in a betrayal that cost her everything: her husband filed for divorce, a protection order barred her from her two children, and her resources were stripped away. Her faith in Yah became her anchor. Recognizing that Christian terminology and music often used in rituals can retraumatize survivors, Kadaya launched The Quickening Project, a podcast and music initiative. With her co-host, she creates worship music designed to soothe fractured souls without triggering trauma, offering a safe space for survivors to reconnect with faith. Today, we will be continuing Kadaya's testimony, discussing mind control programming locations, psych ward experiences, specific abuse methods that do not leave marks and somatic body memory experiences, SRA in scripture, Antarctica, the state-sanctioned kidnapping of her children, and so much more.DONATE TO KADAYA'S GOFUNDME: https://gofund.me/cb63137dCONNECT WITH KADAYA:-YouTube: @thequickeningproject - https://www.youtube.com/@thequickeningproject-Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/6OmNqqtVj3GC91wUqdHAgo?si=KEgkSw9sSUGUtIHheuY3Hg&nd=1&dlsi=0fc9bed697ac4cef-IG: https://www.instagram.com/thequickeningproject/CONNECT WITH THE IMAGINATION: YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@imaginationpodcastofficialSubstack: https://emmakatherine.substack.com/BUY ME A COFFEE: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/theimaginationAll links: https://direct.me/theimaginationpodcastRIFE TECHNOLOGIES:https://realrifetechnology.com/15% Code: 420CZTL METSupport the show

Love and Torah – what's love got to do with it? This study series is based on the “Two Great Commands” – love Yahweh and love your neighbor. In this episode, Rabbi Steve Berkson takes us to the book of Psalms, starting in Psalm 11. He points out the contrast between two types of people – those who are called “the wrong”, and “the upright”. Yahweh loves those who pursue righteousness, doing what He has determined is right, and He hates those who know to do right, but don't. Then, moving to Psalm 33, Rabbi Berkson shows us how Yahweh, because of His great love, created everything by the word of His mouth, His Torah. If that was not enough, He takes from His creation a group of humans and calls them His inheritance – those who love Him enough to walk in all of His ways. From there, Rabbi Berkson leads us into the 119th Psalm that was written by the man who was called the man after Yah's own heart. You can see this by the way King David wrote about the Torah of Yah and how he loved it and Him. Rabbi Berkson once again dissects the words in these passages so that you will have a deeper understanding of what Yah expects of you, so that you can do it and receive the blessings. “Look up into the heavens. Who created all the stars? He brings them out like an army, one after another, calling each by its name. Because of his great power and incomparable strength, not a single one is missing. O Jacob, how can you say the Lord does not see your troubles? O Israel, how can you say God ignores your rights? Have you never heard? Have you never understood? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth.” Isaiah 40:26-28As we enter the book of Isaiah, we are moving from the wisdom literature into the prophets. In many ways it's a good thing that Isaiah is the first of the major prophets we read because it's the most accessible. Isaiah paints a portrait, not just of Israelite history, but of the God who is above it all - the God who is both creator and master of all things, but also close, loving and kind. Isaiah is a long book coming in at 66 chapters, but it is rich with history, the character of God, and hope for the savior that is to come. To help us navigate the book of Isaiah is Dr. Andrew Abernethy Professor of Old Testament at Wheaton College and author of not one, not two, but three books on Isaiah. Doable Discipleship is a Saddleback Church podcast produced and hosted by Jason Wieland. In the original languages of Hebrew and Greek, the meaning of the word ‘repentance' is fundamentally the same: to turn around, or to turn back. Being a vital element of a relationship with the Creator, Elohim grants the gift of repentance to those He chooses. Within that gift of repentance is a sense of remorse and regret. When repentance is from a sincere heart, the relationship is restored.Rabbi Steve Berkson teaches the deep and sometimes hidden meaning of repentance and all it involves.• Opener• Review• Situational Temptation?• Acts 5:14-15 – It was their belief• Acts 5:16-32 – To give repentance to• Romans 2:1-8 – Who shall render to each one according to their works• Romans 2:9-11 – There is no partiality with Elohim• Romans 1:1-6 – Paul in context • Romans 1:7 – Favor, not grace• Romans 1:8-12 – Encouraged by belief? • Romans 1:11-15 – Impart a spiritual gift? • Romans 1:16-17 – The righteous shall live by faith • Romans 1:18 – Words with powerful meanings • Doing violence to Yah's word • Romans 1:19-23 – Jesus vs. Yeshua • Romans 1:24-25 – Man, you are without excuse • Those who do and approve Listen to the Afterburn tomorrowSubscribe to take advantage of new content every week.To learn more about MTOI, visit our website, https://mtoi.org.https://www.facebook.com/mtoiworldwide https://www.instagram.com/mtoi_worldwidehttps://www.tiktok.com/@mtoi_worldwide You can contact MTOI by emailing us at admin@mtoi.org or calling 423-250-3020. Join us for Shabbat Services and Torah Study LIVE, streamed on our website, mtoi.org, YouTube, and Rumble every Saturday at 1:15 p.m. and every Friday for Torah Study Live Stream at 7:30 p.m. Eastern time.
