On this episode of the Peristyle Podcasts hosts Ryan Abraham and Coach Harvey Hyde are back together talking about what they learned from last week's USC assistant football coach media brunch, where six offensive and six defensive assistants sat down with the media for an hour, answering questions about how spring football went and what Trojan fans can expect from their respective position groups in the future. The USC football staff is a great mix of young, energetic coaches like cornerbacks coach Trovon Reed and inside receivers coach Chad Savage and older, veteran coaches like linebackers coach Rob Ryan. The guys talk about some of the highlights from what they heard from the staff and why they are optimistic that this group of coaches can turn things around in 2025. Coach Hyde also discusses the current state of USC football recruiting, with the Trojans building up a massive 2026 class that currently ranks No. 1 in the country. The focus has been on local prospects and it has paid off, with 27 commitments and counting including the impressive recent pledge from five-star offensive tackle Keenyi Pepe. They finish the show talking about the recent decision by head coach Lincoln Riley to let Director of Football Sports Performance Bennie Wylie go, taking USC's strength and conditioning program in another direction. The Helium Boys Podcast returns to discuss the Media Day for the new USC coaches, the greatness of Rob Ryan and recording in a Waffle House. Shotgun Spratling and Chris Trevino are back behind for another edition of the Helium Boys Podcast...but with a twist. The boys are both on the road in Georgia for work, setting up for a completely mobile podcast on the road. The episode opens not with the duo together, but Chris stranded in the airport waiting for Shotgun to arrive. Once they are reunited the Helium Boys run through the 'Two-Minute Drill' on the road, which included a gift from Shotgun. The Helium Boys then spend the majority of the drive to talk about the media day debut of USC's new hires: general manager Chad Bowden, linebackers coach Rob Ryan, cornerbacks coach Trovon Reed and inside receivers/tight ends coach Chad Savage. After a break, the podcast duo answers your mailbag questions discussing Big Ten baseball, Rob Ryan against Ed Orgeron and if it's too late for USC football in 2025. Shotgun Spratling is then put through a Georgia-themed Take It or Leave It to wrap things up in the most perfect location: Waffle House. In this edition of the Peristyle Podcast hosts Ryan Abraham and Connor Morrissette (aka "Triple Double") are back in studio talking about USC's big 2025 Signing Day press conference where they heard from head coach Lincoln Riley and all of the new coaching and personnel staff members. The Trojans have added some impressive talents and personalities that should help this program get to the next level. Both Ryan and Connor were very optimistic about the new hires after the press conference, with assistant head coach for defense and linebackers coach Rob Ryan standing out for his outgoing personality and exceptional story telling. They were also impressed with Chad Savage as tight ends and inside receivers coach and Trovon Reed as the new cornerbacks coach, both young coaches are exceptional on the recruiting trail and should help the Trojans tremendously. It does appear that USC will be losing one staff member with assistant linebackers coach Bryson Allen-Williams heading to Georgia according to a 247Sports report. On the personnel side, Chad Bowden coming over from Notre Dame is looking like a homerun hire. He is filling out his staff, with the latest edition being Wisconsin general manager Max Stienecker who will join the previously announced Zaire Turner hired as the new assistant AD of recruiting Operations and Dre Brown as the executive director of scouting and personnel. The guys also talk about the two new additions to the roster, with USC announcing the signing of Jadyn Ramos, a defensive end from Conroe (Texas) and AJ Tuitele, a linebacker from Mojave (Nev.). On this episode of the Peristyle Podcasts hosts Ryan Abraham and Coach Harvey Hyde are back together giving their thoughts on the major moves the USC athletic department has been making with the coaching and personnel staffs. Over the past two seasons the Trojans have struggled to a 13-11 record so with these staff moves they hope is that head coach Lincoln Riley has all the help he needs to build a championship roster that can be coached up to make a run at the College Football Playoffs. The guys start off talking about the personnel side, with USC hiring away Notre Dame general manager Chad Bowden to come to Troy in the same role. Coach Hyde wants to know what his job description will entail and how much say he has over the roster working with Riley. Bowden also has some help coming with Zaire Turner hired as the new assistant AD of recruiting Operations and Dre Brown as the executive director of scouting and personnel. On the coaching staff side Coach Hyde gives his thoughts on USC keeping and extending defensive coordinator D'Anton Lynn, bringing in NFL veteran Rob Ryan as the assistant head coach for defense and linebackers coach, Chad Savage as tight ends and inside receivers coach and Trovon Reed as the new cornerbacks coach. The guys talk about how the new staff members will help the Trojans on the recruiting trail, especially in Southern California where USC has fallen short the past couple of classes. Shotgun Spratling and Chris Trevino are back behind the microphones for another episode of the Helium Boys Podcast, a serious non-serious USC football podcast. The Helium Boys return to talk about the latest developments for USC in the transfer portal, including the loss of stalwart offensive lineman Emmanuel Pregnon along with replacements on the offensive line the Trojans have picked up after Pregnon's departure and the addition of Boise State receiver Prince Strachan. The episode opens with the Helium Boys staple 'Two-Minute Drill' that features Chris and Shotgun sending their thoughts and condolences along to everyone dealing with struggles, both minuscule and catastrophic, stemming from the fires that have ravaged Los Angeles in the last week. Things get personal as Shotgun also discusses his first trip to the Xfinity Center on the University of Maryland campus where the Women of Troy took down the Terps in a top 10 battle. Chris and Shotgun then dive into the transfer portal comings and goings, including a long discussion on the offensive line and where the Trojans' depth stands now following the departure of Pregnon and the additions of J'Onre Reed and DJ Wingfield. After a break, the podcast duo answer your mailbag questions discussing the overall talent level of the current USC roster as well as USC's searches for a linebacker coach and general manager. That leads to a discussion about the addition of inside receivers coach/tight ends coach Chad Savage. There are also questions about the NIL era, where the USC roster is better and worse than last year and where JuJu Watkins stands head and shoulders above others on the basketball court. The Helium Boys also react to the best movie readers saw in 2024. Please review, rate and subscribe to the Peristyle Podcast on Apple Podcasts! In this edition of the Peristyle Podcast hosts Ryan Abraham and Connor Morrissette (aka "Triple Double") are back in studio to share their thoughts on how this Trojan football team has updated its roster and coaching staff in the early stages of preparation for the 2025 season. The big surprise came following USC's Vegas Bowl victory over Texas A&M, with offensive lineman Emmanuel Pregnon entering the NCAA Transfer Portal. Pregnon had previously committed to the Senior Bowl before changing his mind and deciding to come back to play for the Trojans again. But at the last minute, as the portal closed for USC players 6 days after the bowl game, Pregnon changed his mind once again and jumped in the portal. The Trojans did get some help on the offensive line with Syracuse interior offensive lineman J'Onre Reed picking USC as his landing spot. The 6-foot-3, 316 pounder that likes to be known as 'Big General,' started 25 games at center over the last two years for the Orange. With Zach Hanson moving from tight ends coach to offensive line coach, head coach Lincoln Riley brought in Chad Savage from Colorado State to coach the tight ends and outside receivers. Savage was known for his recruiting with the Rams, rated the top recruiter in the Mountain West Conference by 247Sports over his three seasons. The guys also talk about USC's continued plans to hire a general manager to help Riley manage this roster in this crazy world of NIL, revenue sharing and of course the NCAA Transfer Portal. “In his recent State of the Union address, President Joe Biden and congressional Republicans had an entertaining back and forth about the president's claim that Republicans wanted to “sunset” Medicare. The raucous exchange ended with both parties applauding the apparent agreement to not touch the popular program….However, that's not possible. Medicare's coffers are running dry, and the program's trustees predict that Medicare will run out of money by 2028. With the aging Baby Boomer demographic, the cost of Medicare continues to grow significantly, crowding out other governmental priorities. Despite the spectacle of apparent bipartisanship, reality will soon come calling.” More at: https://www.yourchoicedirectcare.com/physicians/dr-chad-savage/ Learn more about your ad choices. President Biden told 60 Minutes in October that COVID-19 was essentially over. If that's true, why is he still lobbying Congress for billions of dollars in more COVID-19 relief? Biden also extended the emergency declaration another 90 days, further going against his stated position. Dr. Chad Savage, founder, Your Choice Direct Care, thinks the spending is not only unhealthy for the American economy, but “unnecessary, harmful, and blind to Americans' real needs and problems.Savage says there is plenty of COVID-19 relief money unspent, just sitting on the sidelines. As a physician, Savage worries how more government spending will drive inflation further, increasing costs for working families. COVID is now becoming an excuse for Congress to continue its spending binge.Savage wrote about COVID-19 relief spending in an op-ed in Real Clear Health this summer. This episode of Conversations with Tech Experts features Chad Savage, owner of East-West Digital. He joins Experts Exchange CEO Randy Redberg and Director of Operations Thomas Bernal to discuss his passion for how relationships and culture are the most important aspect of any organization. Chad dives into examples of how soft skills, fear of authenticity, and corporate mindset are more important to an organization's longevity than hard skills and production.
Chad is an insanely talented commercial and portrait photographer out of Charleston, SC. He has consistently jaw-dropping work and he gets those dreamy Canon tones that make us Sony shooters jealous. He and I first met in an online coaching group for photographers run by Kevin Titus, a photographer that Chad and I both admire. In this interview, Chad and I first dig deep into how he went from side-hustling to full-time photography and then move in to super-granular discussions of his camera gear and editing process.
You're gonna love this interview with couple Kate Steinberg and Chad Savage, we know we did!! 5 Stars. We talk about the experience of being in the first season of 12 Dates Of Christmas on HBO Max, and how they made an impression on us with their authenticity.
