Pollution spills were detected in rivers at Nenagh and Roscrea, and a water supply in the Silvermines has been contaminated. Also, fears of contamination of the water supply in Newport led to it being shut down, a ban ona swimming was placed on Lough Derg.  2008 - Portroe girl Aoife Kelly's triumph at the 2008 Rose of Tralee International Festival. Aoife justified the bookies' favouritism to emerge as overall winner in a tense conclusion of the week-long festival, becoming the first ever Tipperary Rose of Tralee.  That was Beyonce with Crazy In Love – the biggest song on this day in 2003 Onto music news on this day In 1965 Sonny & Cher were at No.1 on the UK singles chart with 'I Got You Babe', the duo's only UK No.1. 1970 A party was held to celebrate the official opening of 'Electric Ladyland' studios in New York City, New York. I tell myself, "Jesus would not go hungry or thirsty in my town."  I tell myself, "Jesus would have a place to live in my world."  I tell myself, if I had anything to say about it Jesus would be taken care of...but Jesus isn't around anymore. I tell myself.But what if He is? What if the story Jesus is telling is just a figurative life-principle but a spiritual reality? Then I have to ask myself, "She was crazy in love with Jesus, am I?"

Even before Beyoncé kicked off her solo career, it was clear that she was a legend-in-the-making. As the de facto leader of Destiny's Child, she was a guiding light for the girl group and helped shepherd them to stardom in both the pop and R&B spaces. The group was at their height (and still very much together) as she launched her solo career, first with "Work It Out" for the Austin Powers in Goldmember soundtrack but with more gusto on "Crazy in Love. "Crazy in Love" served as the lead single for Beyoncé's debut solo album Dangerously in Love. The song was written in two hours and became a Number One hit the same week Dangerously in Love topped the albums chart. Beyoncé has developed significantly as an artist since then with her last two albums, Renaissance and Cowboy Carter, being prime examples of how she's still growing and finding new ways to master her artistry even two decades after the world first got a taste of who Beyoncé was on her own.
