Hello, Catholic Pilgrims. We are on day three of Mother Cabrini's trip back across the Atlantic from New York to Havre, France. Seas are calm and this trip, so far, seems less eventful.  Back in 2015, my family attended the World Meeting of Families in Philly. I went to a talk given by a woman professor, I think. The only thing I remember from that talk is that she said that Catholics should stop wasting their time trying to convert Protestants. “They love Jesus and we should focus our attention on those who have no faith.” Well, I was not pleased with this line of thinking, especially as a former Protestant. The best thing in the world that ever happened to me, aside from marrying my husband and having my kids, was being converted to Catholicism.  I'm with Mother Cabrini on this. She is trying to convert a Protestant woman on board the ship and I get why she would be desiring to do so. If you really love people, you want them to experience the fullness of the faith—not a watered-down faith full of heresies.  So, with that said, let's open to page 37.

In March 2020, John Catsimatidis's Red Apple Media Inc., a subsidiary of Red Apple Group, Inc. completed the acquisition of Talk Radio 77 WABC, an iconic New York City radio station. The conversation focuses on Catsimatidis's recent meeting with President-elect Donald J. Trump in Mar-a-Lago, his conversation with Steve Forbes on the urgency of tax cuts in America, and his thoughts on economic issues impacting American families and the need for immigration reform. John Catsimatidis shares his concerns about the challenges faced in key cities across America including New York City and how ill-advised policies have led people to leave one of America's greatest cities. The trend of a mass exodus of citizens and businesses leaving states that are pushing failed economic and far-left policies can been seen in other states including California, known as the "Golden State." AM Radio for Every Vehicle Act Business and community leaders have been advocating for AM Radio for Every Vehicle Act. John Catsimatidis elevates this concern which is a national security issue. Unfortunately, the legislative measure was not included in the final major legislation of the 118th Congress - the Continuing Resolution. First responders, state and community leaders have emphasized AM radio's critical role in addressing emergencies. americasrt.com (https://americasrt.com/) https://ileaderssummit.org/ | https://jerusalemleaderssummit.com/ America's Roundtable on Apple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/americas-roundtable/id1518878472 X: @JCats2013 @ileaderssummit @NatashaSrdoc @JoelAnandUSA @supertalk America's Roundtable is co-hosted by Natasha Srdoc and Joel Anand Samy, co-founders of International Leaders Summit and the Jerusalem Leaders Summit. Recently Kate and I attended this conference in Brazil. It was 4 days jam packed with information in the sexual health field. People from all over the world attended and from many different professions. Many urologists, sexologists, a few nurse practitioners, occupational therapists and many more. I have attended this conference in previous years and it is always exciting to update skills and think about what we can incorporate into our care to assist more people in their intimate lives and cancer journeys.    Today we are going to discuss the big takeaways we got from this years conference. In future episodes I will discuss some of these topics in more detail but for today is an overview.   I chose to attend mainly presentations around prostate cancer rehabilitation, peyronies disease and relationship issues. Kate attended lots of sessions on women's health, wellbeing and sexuality.   My top takeaway was that the research shows ‘less positive outcomes for penile rehabilitation when started greater than 6 months following prostate cancer surgery' so it is my mission this year to get men to come in earlier and not wait to start rehab.   Kates big takeaway is that Ph is not just important in pool water, it is also very important in vagina health.   Listen here to find out more about: Testosterone(having low T may actually increase risk of developing prostate cancer), peyronies, how erectile function drugs are associated with decreasing risk of MACE (major adverse cardiac events), of the 237 reasons people cited for having sex what was the number 1 reason, what is Bocox and many more exciting tit bits.   Following the conference Kate and I also went on a trip for a few days up the Amazon and did lots exciting things including piranha fishing so we tell you the highlights of this too and recommend you put this on your bucket list.  If you would like to read the paper that discusses testosterone and prostate cancer this, is it: Prostate safety events during testosterone replacement therapy in men with hypogonadism: A randomised clinical trial. Friends of the Rosary, Today, October 22, is the feast day of Saint John Paul II (1920-2005), the charismatic and beloved Polish who was an extraordinary testimony of holiness. He contributed to the fall of communism in Europe, established World Youth Days and the World Meeting of Families, promulgated the Catechism of the Catholic Church, and instituted the Luminous Mysteries. Born in Wadowice, a small city 50 kilometers from Krakow, on May 18, 1920, Karol Józef Wojtyla became Pope in 1978. His exceptional apostolic zeal, particularly for families, young people, and the sick, led him to numerous pastoral visits worldwide during his 27 years of papacy. On May 13, 1981, an attempt on his life was made in Saint Peter's Square. Saved by the maternal hand of the Mother of God, following a lengthy stay in the hospital, he forgave the attempted assassin and intensified his pastoral commitments. John Paul II was beatified in 2011 by Pope Benedict XVI and canonized in 2014 by Pope Francis. “It is Jesus that you seek when you dream of happiness,” he told young people in 2000. “He is waiting for you when nothing else you find satisfies you; he is the beauty to which you are so attracted. It is he who reads in your hearts your most genuine choices.” Ave Maria!Jesus, I Trust In You!St. John Paul II, Pray for Us! Come, Holy Spirit, come! Pope St. John Paul II not only shared a powerful vision of what the Catholic Family was created to be but his successor, Benedict XVI did as well. He taught us that the family was first and foremost called to be Christocentric-that is, to be built on the foundation of an encounter with Jesus Christ. At the 7th World Meeting of Families in Milan, in 2012, Pope Benedict shared the key elements that created the family as a domestic church. This series is both theological and practical and will stir the hearts and minds of parents to become all that the Lord has in mind for their family to become a domestic church! If you are just listening for the first time, be sure to listen to the previous podcasts on this important topic. It will be a life-changer!

The note was addressed to Father Dan Andrews, pastor of the Saint John Paul II Newman Center in Bellevue. The threat is the latest in a series of intimidation tactics used against pro-life organizations. In other instances, the threats have come in the form of spray-painted messages with a variation on the words, “If abortions aren't safe, neither are you.” The University of Nebraska at Omaha's Department of Public Safety said in a Saturday statement that the Douglas County Sheriff's office and the Omaha Police Department are working together to investigate the threat and increase security measures. The Newman Center and the campus are maintaining normal operations. https://www.catholicnewsagency.com/news/252986/catholic-student-center-in-nebraska-receives-shooting-threat-signed-jane-s-revenge A prominent Jesuit priest and artist, Father Marko Ivan Rupnik, has had his ministry restricted, reportedly after an investigation by his religious order into allegations of abuse against religious sisters in Slovenia. Rupnik, the director of the Centro Aletti in Rome, was the creator of the official image of the 2022 World Meeting of Families, and for over 30 years has designed mosaic artworks for chapels, churches, and shrines around the world. The Jesuits said in a statement dated December 2 that the order has barred the 68-year-old from hearing confessions or conducting spiritual direction since the Vatican received a complaint against him in 2021. The Vatican declined in October to carry out a canonical process due to the statute of limitations, the order said. The complaint did not include minors. The Jesuit order said the restrictions on Rupnik's ministry were still in effect and included a ban on leading the Ignatian Spiritual Exercises. The priest is also prohibited from engaging in public activities without the permission of his superior. The Jesuit is best known for overseeing the renovation of the Redemptoris Mater Chapel in the Vatican's Apostolic Palace, which reopened in 1999 after three years of work. https://www.catholicnewsagency.com/news/252987/jesuit-artist-fr-rupnik-s-ministry-restricted-following-reports-of-abuse-allegations Today, the Church celebrates Saint Gerald, an English monk, and the bishop of Mayo in Ireland. https://www.catholicnewsagency.com/saint/st-gerald-bishop-of-mayo-74

The World Meeting of Families is happening in Rome this week, and there has been much family-related news out of the Vatican recently. The Vatican has issued new guidance on marriage preparation, saying couples should go through a yearlong program before getting married in the church, and the Vatican's office of Laity, Family and Life has seen a few big reforms. To learn more about these stories, America Vatican correspondent Gerard O'Connell recently interviewed Cardinal Kevin Farrell, prefect for the Vatican's Dicastery for Laity, Family and Life. This week on “Inside the Vatican,” Gerry and host Colleen Dulle recap the Vatican's recent family-related news through the lens of Gerry's interview with Cardinal Farrell. Two reforms Cardinal Farrell has made: First, he has increased the share of lay people working in his office. Today, only four of the office's almost 40 employees are priests, and Cardinal Farrell told Gerry he believes he could be the last cleric to head the office. Second, he established term limits for members of lay movements like Sant'Egidio and the Focolare. (If you don't know what those are, don't worry; we explain it all on this week's show.) Together the Vatican's updates to formation for married couples, families and members of lay movements are aimed at realizing Pope Francis' vision of a dynamic church in which older people teach and share leadership with younger people, and in which no one's pastoral needs are overlooked. Lastly, we'd love your feedback on the show! Please take this brief 2022 ITV Listener Survey and let us know what you'd like to hear in future episodes! Blessed Luigi and Maria Beltrame Quattrocchi are the official patrons of the 10th World Meeting of Families taking place in Rome on June 22-26. The Italian couple was married for 45 years, enduring two world wars together and nurturing their four children's vocations in service of the Church amid unprecedented difficulties facing Europe. Both of their sons became priests in the 1930s and went on to concelebrate the beatification Mass of their parents with John Paul II in 2001. Their eldest son, Father Tarcisio Beltrame, a Benedictine monk, and his younger brother Father Paolino, a Trappist, both risked their lives to secretly work with the resistance during the Nazi occupation of Italy in World War II, while the Beltrame Quattrocchi family's apartment in Rome served as a hiding place for fugitives and Italians with Jewish heritage. A daily news briefing from Catholic News Agency, powered by artificial intelligence. Ask your smart speaker to play “Catholic News,” or listen every morning wherever you get podcasts. www.catholicnewsagency.com - Pope Francis has announced that his prayer intention for the month of June is families. The choice is fitting, since families from around the world will gather in Rome later this month for the World Meeting of Families on June 22-26. The pope's prayer intention in May was young people. The pope describes the family as “the place where we learn to live with one another, to live with young people and those who are older.” While family love can provide us “a personal path of holiness,” the pope also stressed that “there is no such thing as a perfect family.” catholicnewsagency.com/news/251442/this-is-pope-francis-prayer-intention-for-june-2021 Bishop David Konderla of Tulsa celebrated a memorial Mass at Saint Francis Hospital Thursday following a mass shooting on the hospital's campus in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Tulsa police confirmed five casualties of the shooting, including the shooter, which took place June 1 at the Natalie Building, on the south side of the hospital's campus. During his homily, the bishop stressed hope in the midst of pain. Throughout the Mass, Konderla prayed for the victims and their families. Immediately following the shooting, Konderla, along with several priests and the Religious Sisters of Mercy, were “on site to offer pastoral support to those affected.” https://www.catholicnewsagency.com/news/251445/tulsa-bishop-says-mass-with-shooting-victims-families-we-should-not-fear Visitors to Assisi can once again see Blessed Carlo Acutis, the first millennial to be beatified in the Catholic Church, dressed in jeans and tennis shoes through a viewing glass on his tomb. Archbishop Domenico Sorrentino removed the panel covering Acutis' tomb on June 1, reopening it for permanent public veneration. With the lifting of Italy's former travel restrictions for tourists, many international pilgrims will now have the opportunity to see the young Blessed for the first time. The archbishop of Assisi-Nocera Umbra-Gualdo Tadino said that he hopes that all who come to pray at the tomb will “open themselves to the light of the Gospel and have a profound experience of faith." Blessed Carlo Acutis was a young Catholic from Italy with a passionate devotion to the Real Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist and an aptitude for computer coding. He died of leukemia in 2006 at the age of 15, offering his suffering for the pope and for the Church. https://www.catholicnewsagency.com/news/251440/blessed-carlo-acutis-tomb-permanently-reopened-for-public-viewing Today, the Church celebrates Saint Charles Lwanga and the martyrs of Uganda. Charles was chief page to the pedofilic King Mwanga, and forcibly protected young boys from the king's advances. Lwanga and dozens of other men were baptized after the king beheaded a Catholic man, and Lwanga and his companions were later brutally burned at the stake by the king for refusing to renounce their faith. https://www.catholicnewsagency.com/saint/st-charles-lwanga-and-companions-martyrs-of-uganda-488
