The Barefoot Bandit are a highly energetic new wave reggae/dub band based in Devon UK. Their sound mixes catchy melodies and exciting rhythms with a combination of modern roots reggae with deep dark dub, as well as exploring psychedelic influences. Building a strong and loyal fan base over the last couple of years, TBB have played countless shows up and down the country including numerous festivals such as headline performances on small stages at Glastonbury Festival and Love Summer. Test Card Girl is the solo project that singer/songwriter Catherine Burgis has been working on since 2019. Based in Manchester, UK, Catherine decided to explore the depths of her creative mind after finding herself bored of living from administrative work. She began writing songs and doing stand-up comedy, which led to the release of her first single in September 2020. Her debut quickly gathered the attention of John Kennedy on Radio X and Steve Lamacq on BBC 6 Music (presented in the “Ones to Watch 2021” show). Receiving an Arts Council England Grant allowed her to work on her debut EP. Influenced by artists such as Marika Hackman, Bon Iver and Tracy Chapman, Test Card Girl presents her second single, “If You're Feeling Down”. After enjoying the electronic, synthwave elements present in her debut track, we are now delighted by this folk song, in which Catherine's charming voice and acoustic guitar invite the listener to a state of profound calm and warmth. A track that feels like sunshine, with delicate vocals and sweet melodies that will leave you smiling, feeling uplifted… such a beautiful experience.

 Had the pleasure not only to interview FUzzhoneys but see them perform live in Manchester on their UK tour  Tour Dates and Locations   In Collaboration with www.undergroundsound.eu and www.duggystoneradio.com   www.fuzzhoneys.com  Fuzzhoneys (written without any spaces) is a female duo from Malta. Their sound can be summarized as garage rock, spiced up with elements of the Blues, a dash of girly punk and a whole lot of soul. A combination of Francesca Mercieca’s husky vocals, groovy bass-lines and crispy riffs, and Caroline Spiteri’s incisive drumbeats, Fuzzhoneys’ music is engagingly unique and vibrant.  The first sounds of the ‘fuzz’ date back to September 2012, in what was essentially a jam session which actually yielded the duo’s first song “Chemistry”. Working behind closed doors for a good year or so, Fuzzhoneys gave their first public performance in April 2014, when they played at that year’s ‘Rock the South Festival’ at ‘Zion Reggae Bar’ in Marsascala, Malta. Since then, they have clocked up an impressive number of gigs at popular Maltese venues such as ‘Zion Reggae Bar’, ‘Funky Monkey’ and ‘Rumors’, local festivals and several venues in Europe.  Around the month of August that same year, the band entered the recording studio for the first time with producer Daniel Buttigieg. The idea was to record a 5-track EP that would capture the true, raw sound, that Buttigieg had been so intrigued by when he had first seen Fuzzhoneys performing live. So you're a professional Boxer and suffer a very violent knife attack.
