I'm always excited when a Lungfish release comes up on the ledger! Perhaps too excited...? Anyhow, this show I'm joined by Adz Clayton (Holiday) in the cohort chair and we go all the way down the wormhole on this album, and the band in general. Throw the year's top fives in the mix in the intro and you end ups with a ridiculously (even by EOE standards) long episode. Thus cleaving it in two. Consider this the Pass and next time we'll finish up with an interview and the Stow.

A local woman gets scammed by using a Bitcoin ATM and skiers up in Stow get lost thanks to TikTok in the New England Nightly News.
Included in tonight's Headlines are some rumors that Craig Breslow would be open to add some more to the Red Sox rotation. Would Sonny Gray not have to be the number two starter and could Giannis force himself out of Milwaukee? Then, another local scam this time involving as Bitcoin ATM and skiers in Stow get lost apparently due to TikTok in the New England Nightly News. And, Robert Griffin III was making a great case for BYU to make the college football playoff...until he ended his statement.
Start with a promise and test it hard: can a premium three-row actually balance comfort, capability, and value without resorting to gimmicks? We put the 2025 Infiniti QX60 through its paces, calling out the crisp front-end design, tight third row, and the surprising 6,000-pound tow rating that turns a modest 2.0L turbo into a legit weekend hauler. We share the wins you feel every day—quiet ride, simple infotainment, smart headrest speakers—and the misses that matter, like noticeable turbo lag and a transmission that sometimes feels a step behind. From there, we pivot to ownership smarts with a sharp shortlist of cars that make DIY maintenance less painful and more affordable. If you're building confidence with a torque wrench, models like the Toyota Corolla and Camry, Kia Rio, Honda Accord, Chevrolet Silverado ('03–'07), and Mazda MX-5 Miata deliver easy access, plentiful parts, and proven reliability. We explain why access matters more than horsepower when you're replacing plugs, belts, and brakes in the driveway, and how parts ecosystems can save you time and money. We close by championing a modern minivan that earns its keep: the 2025 Chrysler Pacifica. Seven seats, Stow 'n Go flat-fold magic, rear-seat entertainment, Family Cam peace of mind, and a calm, quiet ride powered by Chrysler's stalwart 3.6L V6 with AWD. Real-world mpg, towing capability, and pricing context against Toyota Sienna, Kia Carnival, and Honda Odyssey make the choice clearer: if daily life means people and gear, a thoughtful minivan still solves problems most SUVs can't. Clare is walking in the Cotswolds with author Corinne Fowler and historian Raj Pal, whose family has roots in both Britain and India.Corinne is leading the way, recreating and extending the “Indian Walk in the Cotswolds” walk she originally took with Raj for a chapter in her book Our Island Stories: Ten Walks through Rural Britain and its Hidden History of Empire. As they ramble, they reflect on how the British countryside is deeply connected to colonial history.Beginning on the Heart of England Way at Bourton on the Hill, they pass Sezincote House, a Neo-Mughal estate built in 1805 by a former East India Company officer, take in the Church of St James in Longborough, before circling back to the Horse and Groom pub in Bourton.Map: OS Explorer OL45 The Cotswolds - Burford, Chipping Camden, Cirencester, Stow on the Wold Grid Ref: SP 173 325 Near the Horse & Groom pub, Bourton on the HillPresenter: Clare Balding Producer for BBC Studios: Karen Gregor
Two family haulers, two very different promises. We put the 2025 Mazda CX-90 and the 2025 Chrysler Pacifica through their paces to find out whether driving joy or everyday ease should lead your next purchase. If you've ever stood in a dealer lot torn between a sleek three-row SUV and a minivan that just works, this head-to-head is your shortcut to clarity. We start with the CX-90's immediate curb appeal: balanced lines, tasteful chrome, and those painted arch moldings that make it feel premium without shouting. On the road, Mazda's 3.3-liter turbo lights up with 340 hp and 369 lb-ft, backed by an eight-speed that helps it feel quick and composed. Our long loop returned an impressive 26.7 mpg. Still, there are caveats. A fussy start-stop system and a first-to-second shift that nags in traffic chip away at an otherwise athletic package. And the infotainment? It's still behind the best, which matters when carpool chaos hits and you just need things to work. Then we slide into the Chrysler Pacifica, a minivan with real presence. The laid-back windshield and blacked-out pillars deliver clean lines, while sliding doors and a generous liftgate make every errand easier. Inside, practical storage and durable, comfortable seating keep the cabin tidy. Top trims add surprising luxury, and dual sunroofs brighten both rows. The V6 and nine-speed won't win stoplight sprints, but they deliver the right blend of power, quiet, and stability. The ace up its sleeve is Stow 'n Go: seats that vanish to create a flat, low cargo floor, then reappear when duty calls. Add competitive pricing and AWD, and you get a family machine that solves problems before they start.Looking for a driver's SUV with real power and premium vibes? The CX-90 makes every commute feel special. Need maximum flexibility, painless loading, and trip-ready storage on demand? The Pacifica proves why the minivan still reigns for real life. If this helped narrow your shortlist, share the episode with a friend, hit follow, and drop a review with the one feature you can't live without.Be sure to subscribe for more In Wheel Time Car Talk! The Lupe' Tortilla RestaurantsLupe Tortilla in Katy, Texas Gulf Coast Auto ShieldPaint protection, tint, and more!Disclaimer: This post contains affiliate links. Welcome back to another fishing adventure. West Stow Country Park Carp SessionFishing sessions often carry a strange sense of anticipation, as though every trip holds the possibility of something special—something unforgettable. This week's trip was one of those rare occasions when the excitement had been building steadily for days. Not only was I heading back up to West Stow Country Park, a place that carries its own quiet charm and challenge, but I was also fishing alongside my oldest friend, Rob. We've shared countless hours bankside together over the years, and whenever we plan a session, it always seems to take on an extra layer of importance. The Journey NorthMonday morning started early—brutally early. I was up at 04:00, the kind of hour where the world outside is silent, and only the occasional fox or owl breaks the stillness. By 04:30 I had the car loaded, rods stacked neatly, bait buckets wedged into the boot, and the kettle washed up from the night before. The air was cool, fresh, and full of promise. The roads were surprisingly clear. No roadworks on the M3, no speed restrictions, and even the dreaded M25—a road that can easily turn a good mood into frustration—was running without issue. I took this as a good omen. Heading north via the A414, the old Northern Orbital Road, then pushing on to the A1(M), I felt the tension ease out of me. By the time I merged onto the A14, the sun was climbing, lighting up the fields with a golden haze.Of course, the A14 wouldn't be the A14 without drama. I nearly witnessed a couple of accidents, careless drivers cutting across lanes and others forced into evasive action. Fortunately, the sensible heads among us kept it safe, and I pressed on, shaking my head at the madness. At 07:10, I rolled into the West Stow Country Park car park, the familiar landscape unfolding around me. There's always a strange mixture of calm and excitement on arrival. Part of me just wanted to rush to a swim, set up, and get lines in the water. Another part of me knew the importance of slowing down—taking the time to look, listen, and read the water.Tight lines and be lucky!

In this week episode of Style DNA I go on a style journey with the British luxury footwear designer, the wonderful Penelope Chilvers.Penelope grew up in Britain but as a child she spent every school holiday in the province of Girona and her love affair with Spain and local craftsmanship began. For a few years, Penelope lived in the city of Barcelona, working as a painter and designer where she collaborated with artists and artisans. While living in Barcelona, she enjoyed riding in her lunch break in the national park of Collserola in the hills above the city wearing traditional Spanish riding boots. She pursued the idea of bringing the Spanish riding boot to England and commissioned a small number of traditional artisans in the hills of Spain to make the perfect equestrian boot to her own specifications. The Long Tassel boot remains a firm favourite in the collection, most famously worn back in 2004 by Prince William's then girlfriend, Kate Middleton and the photo of her wearing these boots went viral the day they announced their engagement. HRH Catherine, Princess of Wales continues to wear her boots to this day.We chat about her memories of being allowed to tidy her mother's silk scarf drawer as a young girl and how that ignited her passion for colour, pattern and luxury. She has a dedication to timeless style, designing boots and shoes that will stand the test of time…she really believes in the power of longevity. She tells me that she loves the process of taking care of her shoes and boots… how footwear can get better with age and wear… and her desire to teach her customers how to care for their shoes…lovely. I ask her about how she feels about being the face of her brand and her response is charming and endearingly humble …she says she feels lucky that she is still relevant. She has clearly enjoyed creating and building her brand…saying it's like a work of art to her. Both of her daughters are now involved, one working with her on design and the other in marketing and as the company stylist. It is a true family business and Penelope clearly enjoys the cross generational aspect. I question whether she feels that her style changes when she spends time working in Spain, and she admits that it does actually… she admires the fact that Spanish women have a confidence and a femininity and that it's probably a little more formal. The Penelope Chilvers brand has gone from strength to strength and has recently added a store in Stow on the Wold in the Cotswolds to its collection. In full disclosure I own several pairs of Penelope Chilvers shoes and boots…sublime embroidered velvet slippers, Spanish leather boots and beautiful suede cowboy boots … all timeless classics …I hope you enjoy this episode. Let's begin the description of this episode with a mea culpa. In February 2025 I visited the Trading Route, a new venue from the people behind Manchester Union Brewery, and Manchester restaurants Trof, and Stow. One of the main reasons I was excited to go was because Manchester Union co-founder Will Evans had appeared in an Instagram video advertising slow poured versions of their lager, complete with voluminous creamy heads. Slow poured lager—like that offered at Denver's Bierstadt Lagerhaus—is something I love. This method of pouring the beer in stages, letting the beer rest for anywhere between three to seven minutes between each stage of a three or four part pour has this magical effect of bringing out malt sweetness. This works particularly well in bitter lager beers, such as Bierstadt's eponymous Slow Pour Pils. Manchester Union's own lager is a 12º Czech-style, decoction mashed pilsner, with a bitterness of around 35IBU (International Bitterness Units) which brings it close the the 39 possessed by perhaps the most famous Czech lager in the world: Pilsner Urquell.Only, that's not quite what happened. The food was fantastic, the lager itself tasted great. But when it came to the slow pour, I found the experience to be lacklustre, so I decided to use the experience to practise my critical writing skills over at my personal blog, Total Ales. Here's the thing though. Trading Route, sidled right up to the brand new Aviva Studios (or Factory International or whatever you want to call it) is a lone independent in a sea of transplanted London-chains, from Hawksmoor to Dishoom, and even a brand new Caravan Coffee right next door. Good ideas often take time to perfect, especially without the same level of resources of those chains I've just mentioned. Was zooming in for a hot take three months into Trading Route existence the right thing to do? Maybe, just maybe, I jumped the gun a little with my review.Regardless, I've now been back to the Trading Route—in a way, Manchester Union's de facto taproom—several times, and on my last two visits the Slow Pour was served as advertised. I also took this opportunity to catch up with Will on record, and have an important conversation about the brewery he helped to establish in 2018, because it's a brewery worth knowing about. Manchester Union is the city's only dedicated lager brewery, and the fact that they're concentrating on Czech style lagers (including a fantastic dark lager) is an important point of difference to me. How do you stand out when lager is still the most visible product on any given bar? The answer is quite Mancunian in nature, as it happens: to do things differently. In this episode of the Pellicle Podcast I catch up with brewery co-founder Will Evans and get to the nub of what makes Manchester's only dedicated lager brewery tick. With special thanks to our dedicated Patreon supporters who help bring the Pellicle Podcast to life.

In Ohio, financial problems eventually led to the closure of two institutions: Notre Dame College in South Euclid and Eastern Gateway Community College in Steubenville. Both shut their doors last year permanently. Coming up we will talk about what happens when a college shuts its doors. What about the students, faculty and vibrancy of the surrounding community? Later, Ohio's soggy spring and hot, humid summer have helped fuel an active season for West Nile Virus with cases in moquitoes and humans reported in the region. We'll talk to an infectious disease expert about prevention. Plus, a bill to make drive-throughs safer in the wake of a deadly confrontation in Stow.

From designing iconic album covers to painting otherworldly portraits, George's work blends the mythical with the emotional in ways few can match. But George's story is more than just brushes and canvas — it's also deeply tied to the evolution of British pop culture. As a childhood friend and early bandmate of David Bowie, George Underwood helped shape the look and feel of a musical revolution. We'll explore how a moment of teenage mischief left Bowie with his signature eye look, and how George's artistic vision matured into one of the most distinctive visual voices of the contemporary art scene.Whether you're an art lover, a music historian, or simply curious about the minds that shape our culture, this episode will leave you inspired both through Sound and Vision.Memorable Quotes:

The flagship roller track system, which extends conveyor belts directly into aircraft cargo holds, has become so valued that ramp agents have physically fought over units and stayed with them during breaks to prevent others from "borrowing" their equipment. The conversation explores how Power Stow has expanded beyond their initial success with new innovations like the tail loader (bridging the gap between belt loaders and carts), the transfer belt (solving ergonomic challenges in baggage rooms), and assisted docking systems (addressing aircraft damage concerns). Throughout each development, the company maintains its obsessive focus on user experience and customer service, shipping parts same-day and deploying technicians within 24 hours when needed. Most compelling are the stories of transformation - from KB's journey as a skeptical airline executive to becoming the company's biggest advocate, to the moments when resistant veteran ramp workers suddenly realize how the technology can extend their careers by protecting their bodies. These human elements reveal why Power Stow has earned such loyalty in an industry where relationships and reliability matter more than fancy marketing.Ready to see these innovations in person? Visit Power Stow at the upcoming GSE Expo in Las Vegas, where they'll showcase their systems and demonstrate why this team has earned such respect throughout the aviation ground handling community.Looking for reliable and flexible ground support equipment leasing solutions? Lucky for CPP Matt isn't to famous YET to do our humble little podcast. The beloved WBZ Reporter Matt, to his delight and amazement has “gone viral” and caught the eye of media outlets in (old) England! His fun quirky stories like the tiny town of Stow losing their minds over losing their Dunkin's (and yes there was another Dunkin's in next town 0.4 miles away ... or his fun (well acted), what happened to the death-trap McD's playland “attractions” of yesteryear … to his hands down BEST and probably why he won his Best Of Boston award and was inducted into WERS Hall Of Fame … his story and Jacques (Joe Flynn's) show “Goat Show” at Goats To Go in Georgetown MA Already fans of Matt when we met in person the first time at last year's Boston Comedy Festival where Mat had the honor (and anxiety) of being a judge. The cool stories (like living out some many of our dreams / curiosities) of “What's Behind Those Doors” in the Boston Tunnels to becoming an unexpected “true crime” reporter when he when to do a cheeky fluff, “Saugus Prada” piece. We will not have Matt as a local reporter much longer (Matt has no plans on leaving, relax Johnson Industry corporate overlords) and he's a true Boston guys who LOVES being a true Boston guy … but come on … we know a rising star when we all see one. Edward Stow, a highly regarded authority on the Jack the Ripper murders, has conducted extensive research into the case and identified Charles Lechmere, also known as Charles Cross, as the prime suspect. Lechmere's involvement has sparked significant debate, as his behavior and proximity to the crime scenes align with key elements of the investigation. Stow's theory is one of many in the ongoing discussion surrounding Jack the Ripper's identity, but his meticulous analysis of historical records, forensic details, and circumstantial evidence provides a compelling argument that stands out among competing hypotheses. This episode explores the enduring fascination with unsolved mysteries like the Ripper case and investigates how societal and cultural factors have contributed to their lasting allure. Additionally, we draw intriguing parallels between the Jack the Ripper murders and the JFK assassination, uncovering shared themes su

These barns are perfection—there are five in total ranging from 3 - 5 beds, each thoughtfully designed and beautifully styled. The location is ideal, right in the heart of the Cotswolds, making it a fantastic base for exploring this stunning part of the country. We loved revisiting charming villages like Bibury, Burford, and Stow-on-the-Wold, with their honey-coloured stone buildings and rich history. But it was the little moments back at the barn that made it truly special: mornings by the fire, countryside walks straight from the door, late-night hot tub soaks, and that deep, peaceful quiet you only find in the countryside. If you want to be the first find out who is joining me on next week's episode come and follow me on Instagram I'm @hollyrubenstein, and you'll also find me on TikTok - I'd love to hear from you. Send a message to the showIn this bonus episode, recorded live at Faces Brewing Co. in Malden, Mass, we explore local cold cases. With journalist Emily Sweeney, we uncover the intricate details behind some of the state's most perplexing unsolved crimes. We mark the anniversary of Debra Melo's mysterious disappearance. The case of 30-year-old Taunton mother who went missing in 2000 continues to pose questions about the people closest to her. We call for the public's involvement to keep her memory alive and push for answers. Next, we navigate three cases covered in Cold Case Files: The murder of retired Watertown police officer Gail Miles, the disappearance of Stow teenager Cathy Malcolmson, and the mystery surrounding the murder of John and Geraldine Magee in their Andover home. Despite years of investigative work, these families have few answers. Is there a connection to Gail's work as a cop to how she was killed? Why was Cathy's bicycle found on the exact route she rode to work months after she disappeared? Why would anyone want to harm the Magees? We shine a light on the Middlesex County Cold Case Unit's work to solve these cases, like the 1971 murder of Natalie Scheublin in her Bedford home - a case finally resolved five decades later. Delving deeper, we explore the disappearance of Jennifer Mbugua, a dedicated nurse who went missing from North Attleboro in 2014, the case of murdered by Eddie Flynn in Billerica in 1947, and Bruce Crowley who was last seen in Provincetown in late December 2022 and reported missing by a family member after his car was found in a parking lot there in early January 2023. Plus the years-old unsolved cases of Andy Puglisi, missing from Lawrence since 1976, teenagers Melanie Melanson who disappeared from Woburn in 1989 and Deanna Cremin who was found murdered in Somerville in 1995, Rita Hester, the Black Trans woman stabbed in her Allston apartment in 1998, Charline Rosemond found shot in a parking lot in Somerville in 2009, Brittany Tee, missing from Brookfield since 2023, Karina Holmer's 1996 grisly murder that still haunts Boston, and Reina Rojas who disappeared in 2022 after taking a ride from her East Boston neighborhood to Somerville. We emphasize the importance of public awareness and legislative advocacy, hoping for breakthroughs that could finally solve these mysteries.Get Emily Sweeney's Cold Case Files newsletter, sign up hereShow slides at crimeofthetrueSupport the Show.Follow Instagram | Facebook | X | TikTok | Threads | YouTube For show notes & source information at CrimeoftheTruestKind.comThis podcast has minimal profanity but from time to time you get one or some curse words.
