Hayden Crozier has just announced his retirement from the AFL after playing 140 games across both Fremantle and the Western Bulldogs through its entirety. Croz goes through in this episode the brutal nature of the AFL and how he had to transform his body by adding weight to it just to stand a chance of playing a game in his early years. Some of the players Hayden has played with in his career are special and we detail the levels of Nat Fyfe, Matthew Pavlich and Marcus Bontempelli just to name a few. Having worked with both Ross Lyon and Luke Beveridge, Hayden's insights on high level performance and the rigors of the game come through in this episode on a level we haven't experienced before. This was a truly fun episode with a character well loved by all his team mates on any team that he has played on. I really enjoyed shooting this one which held many laughs within the show. “David Crosby, I read your chart man” is how Kirk starts his long-awaited chat with one of pop-culture's most notorious Cannabis influencers. In 50-years, David Crosby has had a very public relationship with cannabis, addictions, incarceration, and relationships, which he willingly discusses. With thoughtful understanding that these past behaviours are well reported elsewhere, Kirk digs into current events asking his guest to speak to his new relationship with legal and medicinal cannabis. They discuss his involvement with NORML, his “Mighty Croz” branding, focusing mostly on his medical uses of cannabis; they even exchange their wives' cookie recipe and how cannabis has become a very calculated element of David Crosby's day-to-day creative life-style.David Crosby - WikipediaMighty Croz Additional Music:Desiree Dorion desireedorion.comMarc Clement - FacebookTranscripts, papers and so much more at: reefermed.ca

Earlier this year, an iconic voice in the music world left us: David Crosby. From the Byrds, Crosby Stills Nash and Young, his duo projects with Graham Nash, CPR, his solo projects and so much more, Croz continued to tour and create new music until the very end. For the past three decades, an integral part of Crosby's creative process was guitarist Jeff Pevar. On this episode of Inside MusiCast, Jeff joins us to chat about his relationship with Croz, including how they discovered each other back in the early ‘90s, along with stories about performing, touring, writing and recording with this iconic musician. Inside MusiCast is pleased to welcome back to the show, Jeff Pevar.

At 81 years-old, Graham Nash describes his life as, “a magic story from beginning to end.” Graham's career began in 1962 as a singer/songwriter in the British pop band The Hollies. After a string of hits in the UK, Graham left the Hollies, and moved to L.A. to start a band with the former Byrds vocalist, David Crosby, and Stephen Stills, whose band Buffalo Springfield had just broken up. From the start, Crosby Stills & Nash were dubbed a folk-rock supergroup, and they went on to become one of the era's most revered bands, thanks to their gorgeous three-part harmony and exquisite songwriting. Following the death of David Crosby in January, Rick Rubin sat down with Graham Nash to talk about Graham's deep love and admiration for Croz. On today's episode we'll hear the first part of Rick's conversation with Graham, who reminisces about the day he met Crosby, who immediately rolled Graham the most perfect joint he'd ever seen. Graham also explains how it was actually Cass Elliot from the Mamas and the Papas who was responsible for bringing CSN together, and he recalls classic stories about Neil Young's unpredictable early days in CSNY. You can hear a playlist of some of our favorite Graham Nash songs HERE.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Michael Crossley is a real American hero. For 8 years, Croz served in the Marine Corps, doing just about every badass thing you can think of—amphibious reconnaissance, jumping out of planes, and serving in the first Gulf War. Landing back in the states in 2011, and facing PTSD and other hardships post-military, he committed himself to a new mission. As the Director of Base Camp, and the founder of Veteran Camp, an off-the-grid weekend for vets, Croz is an aggressive man who measures success in terms of service to others. Find out more about Crossroads Camps, including Veteran Camp, here.

The icons of the sixties are physically leaving us, one by one. My intentions are to keep their music alive. The music of the 60s especially was unique and many of the albums that contained those tunes have endured a half century or more, just begging to jump onto a turntable so the stylus can be gently placed into the endless groove and be played and appreciated. Or hated. There are so many songs I despise, even though they were great, they got overplayed on commercial radio. I'm trying very diligently to hold off on repeating any songs, though I feel some are so worth repeating. This is probably the 4th time I've played Wooden Ships but why not with such a great tune with Stephen Stills' signature guitar solo and great lyrics that make you wonder about so much. I give this hour to Croz and encourage you to explore his compositions and especially his latest works, solo and with his son, James Raymond, guitarist Jeff Pevar in the group CPR. Enjoy! I'm digging' listening to the early podcasts! Listen live Wednesdays at 5 Central Time in Nashville on 103.7 & 107.1 or stream here and here. Crosby's passing feels like the end of something big. It's hit us hard here at Discograffiti Central, and so everything got pushed two weeks, original co-host Joe Kennedy was harangued back into the ring, and so ensued the ultimate eulogy—an exploratory saunter through the man's life and work that'll allow us all to both commiserate and celebrate the fruits of Croz's wild ride together. Part 2 takes in everything from the debut Crosby & Nash LP, through his harrowing years of hard drug abuse, and into his late-life solo renaissance. Dean Parks Live on Game Changers with Vicki Abelson Dean Parks has played with everyone on every album ever recorded. Close. His discography is so long I had to take rest breaks as I was scrolling. How many did we get to? Well, we polished some of the gemstones. A 5-year-old with a steel guitar, he was playing with the big boys at 6. Clarinet followed, and saxophone, which he still plays brilliantly, before focusing on guitar, where he is lord and master of the sessions. Starting with Sonny and Cher, Steely Dan, Stevie Wonder's Innervisions (in my top 10 of all time), Songs in the Key of Life, spectacular memories there, meeting Snuffy Walden and the years of work he did with him, Jimmy Webb, Dolly Parton, Bette Midler, Barbra Streisand, Linda Ronstadt, The Jackson Five, great fun there, Crosby, Stills and Nash, then Crosby and Nash, then Croz, having just rehearsed for an upcoming tour before his passing. Lovely feelings recounted. Touring with James Taylor, as his hands when he broke his, and the challenges of that. Lyle Lovett, and the wonderfulness there, Teresa James, Herbie Hancock, The Fabelmans… the man hasn't stopped since he started, nor has he ever had to choose even a temporary alternative to his talent and his passion. With no end in sight, if you're in LA you can catch him live at The Baked Potato. If not, just turn on your radio––songs past, present and no doubt well into the future will be featuring the skilled, soulful, spectacular virtuosity that is Dean Parks. Hello to you listening in Woodinville, Washington!Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is Stories From Women Who Walk with 60 Seconds for Wednesdays on Whidbey and your host, Diane Wyzga. We are not used to people of advanced years, seniors, elders, crones, old folks becoming prolific in the waning years of their lives. And yet, witness recently departed 81 year old musician David Crosby who in 2014, when he was 72 years of age released his first solo album in 21 years, “Croz,” which debuted in the Billboard Top 40. Following that Mr. Crosby released five solo albums, most recently “For Free” in 2021 at the age of 79. He was quoted in 2019 saying that his late-in-life resurgence was sparked by his realization that “at this stage, you don't know if you've got two weeks or 10 years,” adding, “Really what matters is what you do with whatever time you have.”As I get ready to celebrate my Happy Continuation Day on February 4th I know I've not yet earned Mr. Crosby's advanced age nor resurgence of prolific output; however, today I am doing what matters because I don't know how much time I have. What matters? I help people and organizations find the words they don't know they have to tell the story that communicates their values, purpose and vision.I cannot say I do change the world; but I cannot say I don't.Call to Action: If you are curious about how to find the words to tell your story, what you're about so you connect and succeed in the spirit of who you are, let's work together. JIMMY WEBB on DAVD CROSBY: Croz, as he was known to his friends, was a gregarious, mischievous, sensitive guy who you could have a legitimate conversation with. I remember the first time I saw him up close: He had driven his black Mercedes Benz 450 SEL out into the desert to go sailplaning with me. He got out of the big sedan in a cloud of dust and strode toward me like a giant, a big grin plastered across his face. I knew in that instant that he was absolutely stone-not-afraid to ride in a glider or anything else you might think of. Conditions were lousy that day so I paid for an extra long tow, up to 10,000 feet because I knew rightly enough that we wouldn't be airborne for very long. I muddled around and kept us up for around 40 minutes or so, and the whole time he was like a child with a new toy. He was inquisitive about every detail of the mechanisms on board and did not get airsick - unlike some others I could mention! We landed safely in the late afternoon after a bond had been formed up about 5000 feet as we waved to hikers on the side of Mount Baden-Powell. At the time I knew of him from my friend Art Garfunkel, who had used him profusely on backgrounds for the Watermark album, which Art and I cut with Barry Beckett in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. From listening to his lilting concert tenor on Artie's rough mixes, I resolved that if I could get him to do it, I would have him sing some backgrounds on some of my stuff. Endearingly, he came at first call and brought Graham Nash along with him. Most recently, he and Graham sang backgrounds on my song, “If These Walls Could Speak”, from my Fred Mollin-produced Still Within The Sound Of My Voice (2013). It's possible that this will turn out to be the last recording the two made together. He was there for me at Alice Tully Hall (NYC) the night a plethora of names showed up for my live concert birthday party. In short, whenever I asked him, he was there. If I have one regret in my life at this moment, it's that I didn't make time to get on the sailboat with him when I was asked during a rather busy trip to California. But he wouldn't want me to look back with any regret about anything. He was just that kind of cool, easy-going, sweet guy. His was a gigantic star, it shines still there somewhere above the Southern Cross, this sailor, prophet, humanitarian, intellectual, and songwriter. Oh, and lest I forget, father as well. It's natural to feel a little emptiness when a friend passes but in this case I am aching and grieving for a whole magic, scintillating era of unsurpassed music, a time of beauty and elegance in musical art. In my mind he stands for all of that. The political conscience applied to the art of communicating with the masses. I was at David Geffen's house the afternoon Graham and Croz showed up with a little number called “Four Dead in Ohio”. When I heard it, they were angry and it resonated off the walls of the house in a way that made me think: this is a song that will change things. Godspeed, David. Dave and Shane present their full interview with founding #Kansas guitarist #RichardWilliams who talks about the 50th anniversary band celebration album “Another Fork In The Road.” Williams also takes us through much of the history of the legendary progressive rock group. Dave and Shane also take a moment to honor the life and tremendous legacy of singer, songwriter and guitarist #DavidCrosby. The #CSN, #CSNY and #Byrds icon died January 18th at the age of 81, just two months after appearing on our program in what would be one of his final interviews ever. You will hear some of that interview in this show. #Croz was the sound of a generation, and then some. #RIPDavidCrosby

On today's Fretboard Journal Podcast, we pay tribute to David Crosby. Croz was a dear friend to the Fretboard Journal magazine and all that we do. Over the last 15 years, we were lucky enough to interview him several times about his music, his guitar collection, and more. For this episode, we're sharing two of our favorite interviews with Croz: One that he and Joe Henry had at the first Fretboard Summit (originally aired as episode 92 of this podcast). We're also sharing a previously unheard interview that we did with Crosby in 2021 around the 50th anniversary of his solo album, If I Could Only Remember My Name. He tells us about the making of that seminal album, working with Jerry Garcia, his (at the time) new album, For Free, and his love for working with the Lighthouse band. We also chat about what he was listening to at the time (including Sarah Jarosz) and more. We hope you enjoy these two candid talks with a true music hero who kept pushing the creative envelope until the very end. If you enjoy this episode (or any others) please leave us a review on Apple Podcasts and please share the show with friends. HOW TO MAKE FRIENDS AND INFLUENCE PEOPLEIF I COULD ONLY REMEMBER MY NAME by David Crosby (1971, Atlantic)The Reaper continues its rampage, cutting swathes across the aging population of musical pioneers. Last week it was Jeff Beck, yesterday David Crosby. In fairness, it was actually amazing that the Croz lived as long as he did. He had diabetes, and In 1994 underwent a liver transplant (paid for by Phil Collins), after suffering for years with Hep C. But despite a notorious reputation for drug abuse that would cripple even a hardened junkie, David kept forging an unfettered path, making enemies with his thoughtless taunts, enduring break ups and reunions, yet still creating some of our greatest music with his frenemies, solo, and for the last mile in collaboration with his long-abandoned and rediscovered son, James Raymond.David Van Cortland Crosby, the son of Academy Award Winning cinematographer Floyd Crosby, was a California boy who became foundational to the California folk-rock soundtrack of our generation, and despite the fact that near the end of his life he had to stay on the road and sell his catalogue to pay off his mortgage, those songs will reside forever in the Laurel Canyon canon. Crosby was a notoriously difficult character who burnt nearly every bridge he ever crossed. His bandmate from the Byrds, Jim McGuinn steadfastly refused to work with him again despite David's constant imprecations to reunite; he boldly dissed and insulted Neil Young's soul-mate Darryl Hannah after the death of Neil's first wife Pegi, and somehow alienated his biggest supporter in life, Graham Nash. But, despite this, musician Melissa Etheridge solicited his sperm to make her babies. Maybe because, trumping all the difficulty, David's harmonic acumen was unmatched and a divine gift from God. So, there he undeniably stands: a twice inducted Rock n Roll Hall of Famer for founding two of the most important groups in Rock history. And, this etherial, transcendent solo effort, recorded with the aid of Joni Mitchell, Neil Young, Graham Nash, along with members of The Jefferson Airplane and The Grateful Dead represents an artist whose questing musical imagination was always and eternally of a deeply spiritual nature. Humans are so complicated. As Dylan said: “I contain multitudes,” and David Crosby was an exemplar of that.
This is a rerelease of our episode with legendary musician David Crosby. He was magnificently generous with his time, thoughts and tokes. His concert later that night was mind-blowing. Thank you for hanging with us Croz. David Crosby (Mighty Croz; 2x Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee; The Byrds; Crosby, Stills & Nash) sits down with Mike and Mary Jane before his sold-out show at LA's Saban Theater. The rock icon gets fired up about climate change, weed, how prison saved him, staying connected to youth, humility, love, LSD, and what he'd do to Mitch McConnell if they ever meet. He tells us why the Beatles sought him out (he had the best weed!), and shares the best advice Joni Mitchell ever gave him. David Crosby and Steve Silberman continue their in-depth conversation about David's iconic album, If I Could Only Remember My Name, in Freak Flag Flying's final episode of season two. To begin, Steve takes you on a musical journey that features classic Croz songs that you know and love, along with rare, previously unheard tracks and demos. Whether you're a hardcore Crosby fanatic or just a fan of creative, innovative, soul-soothing music, you'll love what Steve has in store. The episode continues by rejoining David at Hyde Street Studios (formerly Wally Heider's, where the album was recorded 50 years ago), to hear more stories about the recording of this all-time classic album, as well as tales of meeting the Beatles as a member of the Byrds and turning George Harrison onto the music of Ravi Shankar, Jerry Garcia's distinctive gift to one of David's greatest tracks, “Laughing,” how hard it is to sit in successfully with the Grateful Dead, and meeting acid king and sonic alchemist Owsley Stanley in LAX. You'll also hear David talk about the essence of what music means to him.Freak Flag Flying is brought to you by Osiris Media. Interview and editing by Steve Silberman. Welcome back to season two of Freak Flag Flying! Over the course of the next two episodes, music legend David Crosby and his friend and bestselling author Steve Silberman will take you inside the studio (literally) for an all-encompassing look at David's timeless masterpiece, If I Could Only Remember My Name, with their conversations taking place in the very building that it was recorded in over 50 years ago, Hyde Street Studios (formerly Wally Heider's). Along with their in-depth discussion, listeners will have the opportunity to hear some Crosby tracks that have never been heard by the public before!Today's episode features David taking Steve through the journey of making the album and collaborating with his friends and musical geniuses like Joni Mitchell, members of the Grateful Dead, and Jefferson Airplane co-founders Paul Kantner, and Grace Slick. David goes on to explain his friendship and profound musical connection with Jerry Garcia, discovering Joni Mitchell and bringing her to Los Angeles, and the tragedy that struck just prior to the IICORMN sessions -- a loss that can still be felt deeply in the words and melodies of the album. David also expounds upon his affinity with open tunings and tuning by ear rather than digitally, which contributed immensely to the distinctively luminous sound of the album, as recorded by Wally Heider's brilliant in-house engineer Stephen Barncard.Freak Flag Flying is brought to you by Osiris Media. Upon turning 80, rock legend David Crosby gets lit with us and lovingly recalls the greatest moments of his own illustrious weed history. From blazing out The Beatles, to sailing the high seas with the 1970s most prolific pot smugglers, he's seen and smoked it all—and lived to tell the tale. Croz also explains why he loves growing his own, and just might write a song about it. Special thanks to Mighty Croz, his personal weed brand, for arranging the interview. On episode 10 of Past Prime, Steve and Matty lift the veil off of one of the great cold cases of American Classic Rock. The co-hosts first travel back to 1988 and pull on the thread of CSNY's "American Dream." And then they keep pulling and pulling, all the way back through "Deja Vu" and through CSN's (minus Y) 1969 debut. They shed their Gen X biases, the decades of Boomer propaganda and cast a sober look at the 80s comeback and everything that came before it. What they discover is grisly -- not for the faint of heart. And especially not for avid CSN fans. Ultimately, they find that CSNY was a folksy "boy band," highly competent at three part harmonies and not a whole lot more (except for the Young songs). They discover that CSNY were elevated to Hippie Rock Mt. Rushmore on the basis of great timing and bad drugs. And, for nearly fifty years, most of us bought the story. But, no more. "American Dream" is quickly dispatched with. The songs are mostly awful. Croz struggles with competence, Nash with depth and Stills with self-awareness. The longer, winding journey, however, is the investigation of how the band ascended and who was to blame for the fraud? If you are curious about late 60s fin de siecle moment when the Hippie dream was on the line, then this is the episode for you. On the other hand, if you still believe that American bands of the 60s and 70s made the best Rock and Roll (we don't mean Soul, Funk, Jazz, Country or Folk) in the world, please brace yourself before pressing play. To read more about CSNY's "American Dream" check out the full essay at Past Prime.

There's not many people in this world who can say they are one of the world's foremost connoisseurs of cannabis, except David Crosby. We had the honor of sitting down with Crosby (singer/song-writer/musician), 2-time Rock & Roll Hall of Famer and founding member of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young and The Byrds. David tells us about how he's utilized cannabis consumption to help with his writing process and to help inspire the hundreds of songs he's created. We talk about how he's been a successful musician for over five decades with cannabis always being a constant in his life. David provides insight into what it felt to play at Woodstock in 69' and one of the memorable stories he remembered from that day. As a leader of the counterculture in the 60's David is still very passionate about global warming, anti-war rhetoric amongst many other passions that still play out in his daily life. We wrap up the episode talking about Mighty Croz Cannabis Brand created by Crosby and Stephen Sponder focusing on high quality cannabis teaming up with cultivators and companies that share their vision. We'll have to be patient for the debut of Mighty Croz as Crosby and his team are waiting for federal legalization to release the brand to the masses. Until then you can catch up on one of the 5 new albums David has released in the last 6 years! --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/lit-and-lucid/support

Podcast host, Miri Stickland, is joined by Head of Planning, Partner Victoria Du Croz, and senior associate, Laura Parrish, to discuss the impact of recent changes to the Use Classes Order and Permitted Development Rights as well as further planning reforms which are still to come. “Some clients are really happy with the increased flexibility the new Use Class E offers in terms of how they can use their space. Other landlord clients have been concerned that tenants are able to change the use of their properties without the need for formal planning permission or prior approval from the planning authority. For example, there is now far less control over change of use from retail to restaurant use, which we anticipate could lead to a rise in nuisance claims.” “One of the key industry concerns in respect of the new Permitted Development Rights is that it will allow housing to be brought forward without mitigation of the impact of the change of use of those buildings. Local Authorities will be very limited in respect of the conditions that they can require, in particular in terms of not being able to impose affordable housing quotas, section 106 or CIL payments.”

Today we have a bunch of podcast recommendations for the weekend. Festival Circuit: New Orleans Episode 2. In this episode, we explore the idea of family in New Orleans, in all the ways that it manifests—the famous musical families of the city, the broader New Orleans musical family, and the idea that the city feels like one big family in many ways. There's discussion of food, a lot of music, and so much more. We also talk about how the New Orleans family came together around a tragedy, after Hurricane Katrina. We end with talking about this amazing performance from Bruce Springsteen at the 2006 jazz fest, which we'll pick up in episode 4. Thanks to all interviewees, and to our partners at WWOZ. David Crosby from 1998 on The Tapes Archive. A never before published interview with David Crosby from 1998, where Croz talks about meeting his son after 30 years, writing and playing music with his son, and a lot more. I'd also like to remind you about Freak Flag Flying, the 5-part series we did with David Crosby earlier this year, which feels like a lifetime ago. Campaign Songs on Politics of Truth. Bob's guest this week is Margaret Talev, White House and Politics Editor at Axios and a CNN political analyst. Margaret is also a huge music fan who's paid close attention to the soundtracks of campaigns for as long as she's been on the trail. Margaret and Bob discuss which campaigns have harnessed the power of music effectively, and why it's worked. There's also the inevitable awkwardness (and occasional lawsuit) when a campaign co-opts the music of a political opponent, as is happening now with the Trump campaign on multiple fronts. And they talk a little politics. American Aquarium on Southern Songs and Stories. This is the first of a two episode series on BJ Barham of American Aquarium, with in depth conversation with BJ Barham as well as guests Ronda Chollock, a music promoter from Charlottesville, Virginia, and music artist Tyler Boone, who grew up in Charleston, South Carolina, but now calls Hollywood home. They talk about how Barham articulates the dark history of the South so that people will start having conversations about racial and class divides, however uncomfortable those conversations might be. They touch on how bittersweet it must be to have a hit record with no way to play it in person to fans, about how metal and Southern rock have more in common than you might have thought, and working with yet another Grammy-winning producer, Shooter Jennings.Dani Markham on Past, Present, Future, Live! Another reminder about this conversation and the exclusive live music with this amazing percussionist. We talk about her work with Tune-Yards, Childish Gambino, and many others. And stay tuned for the new music. See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
Welcome to another edition of the Aquarium Drunkard Transmissions podcast, our weekly interview show featuring artists reflecting on their creative process, history, and work. This week, counter culture icon David Crosby. Anyone familiar with his Twitter feed knows Croz is a fount of opinions and insight, capable of immense warmth and good humor, but never one to pull punches. On July 31st, he’s reissuing the catalog of CPR, his cheekily named late ’90s and early 2000s supergroup with guitarist Jeff Pevar and Crosby’s son, keyboardist James Raymond. Alongside the trio’s two studio albums, 1998’s CPR and 2001’s Just Like Gravity, two live albums, Live at Cuesta College and Live at the Wiltern (featuring guest musicians Graham Nash, Marc Cohn, and Phil Collins) round out the overview of the group that set Crosby off on a late career renaissance that continues with recent albums like 2018’s Here If You Listen. A quick note. Crosby spoke with Transmissions co-host Jason P. Woodbury as the mass Black Lives Matter that began in late May were beginning. The conversation does not reflect the remarkable events of the last few weeks. The latest issues of our Sidecar newsletter is dedicated specifically to the inspirational struggle for justice happening in the streets of America right now.

They discuss his involvement with NORML, his “Mighty Croz” branding, focusing mostly on his medical uses of cannabis; they even exchange their wives' cookie recipe and how cannabis has become a very calculated element of David Crosby's day-to-day creative life-style. Croz Crossley has a wealth of experience to share after having been in business for over 50 years. Although there were many successes,he says that most of his wisdom and knowledge comes from the things that went wrong during that time. After one very bad situation about 25 years ago he lost everything and after that he really struggled trying to get back in 5 minutes what had taken many years to accumulate. He also at this time learnt that you never make good decisions when you are stressed. That is when he set about studying how powerful our mind is and how much control we have over what happens in our life. Using these teachings he climbed back up the ladder and put himself in a better position than he had been before and then set about telling as many people as he could about these amazing teachings. “be you, be honest, be courageous… if you chase money it will run away. So you have always got to be relaxed retract money… Least desperate you make your business for money the more you will attract. Don't chase money, allow it to come because if you position properly in your business money becomes the result not the reason”…[Listen for More] Click Here for Show Notes To Listen or to Get the Show Notes go to https://wp.me/p6Tf4b-7bh

In discussing how New York has changed post 9/11 Larry, in typical style, came up with the eloquent summary that New York has indeed softened and it has moved “from a smirk to a smile”. Put that on a t-shirt and I will buy it! His is a fascinating story that takes us from being a young immigrant in New York and witnessing the birth of rock & roll to living back in the city that defines him and enjoying music and art with the same passion he always has. Kako njen tim većinom čine programeri i inženjeri komunikacija s klijentima je stručna i kvalitetna, a time i uspješnija. Žene često same sebe podcjenjuju, umanjuju vlastite kapacitete, osjećaju se nesigurno. U Hrvatskoj situacija i nije loša i imamo potencijalno dobar zamah. Legendary singer-songwriter David Crosby sits down with Simon and Brian in Manchester to discuss the writing of his stunning new album Here If You Listen as well as songs from his previous solo albums and the Crosby, Stills & Nash catalogue. In the conversation, Croz explains what he learned from songwriters like Joni Mitchell and how his collaborations with the Lighthouse and Sky Trails bands have led to one of the most productive periods of his extraordinary career.

At an age when many artists are slowing down, David Crosby is speeding up! When Crosby released Croz in 2014, it had been two decades since his last solo album. But in 2016, only two years after that robust, full-band effort, the 75-year old returned with Lighthouse, an intimate, stripped-down set that highlights Crosby's instantly recognizable voice, incisive songwriting, and incomparable guitar work. “Lights twinkle, flicker, blaze and sparkle throughout David Crosby's finest solo album since his melancholy 1971 masterpiece ‘If I Could Only Remember My name' “ – Rolling Stone Now on Sept 29th 2017 comes the new masterpiece Sky Trails. Produced by James Raymond, the album features a new collection of original songs including writing collaborations with Michael McDonald, Becca Stevens & James Raymond as well as a re-imagining of a Joni Mitchell classic. Two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Famer and co-founder of the Byrds and Crosby, Stills & Nash, David Crosby, is heading out on tour in Nov/Dec 2017. Joining him will be five exceptionally talented musical friends, James Raymond on keys, Mai Agan on bass, Steve DiStanislao on drums, Jeff Pevar on guitar and Michelle Willis on keys and vocals. Crosby is in the midst of an incredibly creative and powerful period and on this tour, he will be performing music from the soon to be released new album Sky Trails alongside some of his best loved songs and greatest hits. "David Crosby and his friends put on an awesome show. It was not full of glitz and glam, no fancy laser light show or costume changes, but it was packed with spot on quality, superb harmonies and awesome musicianship. Crosby's voice was as smooth as it has ever been and he was warm and charismatic." @thedavidcrosby @OfficalDavidCrosby #DavidCrosbySkyTrails #CSN #SlackerMorningShow101theFox #TMobile

It appears to be a long time since David Crosbyreleased a solo album; 20 years and counting. Croz, named for what his friends call him, is 11 tracks, some of which he wrote with his son James Raymond. It's the amalgamation of the inevitability of time passing. Crosby tells host Robin Milling that time is a theme that has run in his songs throughout his life. He also reflects on how his near death experience has impacted his life since, and where he is headed. He says, 'I think your time here on the planet is the most valuable resource you have. I came to that from having wasted a great deal of it. I wasted years and years of time just getting loaded or just getting laid or just being a crazy man.' In this candid, outspoken, provocative and blatantly honest conversation, Croz talks about debunking song myths, what drove CSNY to break up, his Woodstock memories, and where he currently stands with Neil Young to name a few topics. His rants on Twitter exemplify his need to tell it like it is which he says might be a Leo trait he's always had. No matter how much he may get in trouble for speaking his mind, the music has always been his essential means of communication which he describes as a 'lifting force on the human race.'
