Jim Chapman, president of Jim Chapman Construction Group (JCCG), joins host Carol Morgan for this week's Atlanta Real Estate Forum Radio episode. In this podcast segment, Chapman discusses the build-to-rent housing market in Atlanta and throughout the Southeast. Chapman began his career in Atlanta, beginning in custom home construction, then moving towards the active adult market. After years of building these larger communities, he was inspired to develop a rental version before build-to-rent was even popular. When a plot of land in Athens showed promise, Chapman got to work, building The Cottages at Ridge Pointe, an impressive 211-home community in Athens, Ga., with amenities. The community was a huge success. What can Jim Chapman Construction Group do for you? The company develops and constructs homes, amenities and other community features for investors, developers and others in the industry. Whether you just want houses built on your land or looking to add an amenity complex to an existing community, Jim Chapman Construction Group wants to make it happen! Chapman is licensed as a general contractor in six southern states, including Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. Chapman said, “I'm licensed in all six of southeastern states and we're currently building in or actively bidding jobs for developers and investors in all six.” Under the brand of Ranch Cottages for Rent, Jim Chapman Construction Group creates friendly, for-rent communities that provide the luxuries of homeownership without the hassles. There is also no age restriction for residents, opening the community to all interested individuals. “People want more experiences, more to do with life and less to do with their home,” said Chapman. “They don't want to maintain a home and renting is a great option.” For many current residents, the desire for multigenerational housing has led them to lease a home with Ranch Cottages for Rent. Residents of varying ages can live under one roof and have easy access to community amenities, local schools and top-rated healthcare. “These are people who are very successful, who have good incomes, are good citizens,” said Chapman. “They're renters by choice to emulate a lifestyle they want, which is lock and leave and maintenance free.” Jim Chapman Construction Group has many projects in the works currently, including the Cottages at New Hampstead in Savannah, Ga., two developments in Huntsville, Al. and multiple in Florida near Tallahassee and Wildwood. North Georgia residents can also check out the Cottages at Walker Ridge in Fort Oglethorpe near Chattanooga at the Georgia-Tennessee border. BTR investors and developers interesting in expanding their BTR community footprint in the southeast are encouraged to reach out to Jim Chapman Construction Group today and begin their partnership. Here's a wonderful sermon from Psalm 95 on worship and reformation by PCA pastor Ryan Biese of First Presbyterian Church, Fort Oglethorpe, GA.
Pastor Paul Taylor of the Old Fort Baptist Church of Fort Oglethorpe, GA, preaches during the February 1, 2022 meeting of the Old Time Preachers Fellowship, held at the Mineral Park Baptist Church of McDonald, TN.
This week, in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia, a terrible feud brews, within the walls of one trailer, leaving everyone around feeling quite uncomfortable. One afternoon, a backyard bbq, among friends & family ends with with drunken screaming, accusations of dirty goings on, and some amateur auto mechanic work. In the end, a very drunk party goer ends up at neighbor's house, with a statement & a question... "I think he's dead" & "You have a beer for me?", sending the whole neighborhood into chaos. In the end, the wait for a court appeal turns out to be longer than the sentence, making the whole situation completely free of competence!!Along the way, we find out that never go to a bbq, if the hosts hate each other, always keep your car hood locked, and when you kill someone, in cold blood, you shouldn't tell all the neighbors!!Hosted by James Pietragallo and Jimmie WhismanNew episodes every Thursday!Donate at: patreon.com/crimeinsports or go to paypal.com and use our email: crimeinsports@gmail.comGo to shutupandgivememurder.com for all things Small Town Murder & Crime In Sports!Follow us on...twitter.com/@murdersmallfacebook.com/smalltownpodinstagram.com/smalltownmurderAlso, check out James & Jimmie's other show, Crime In Sports! Here's another good sermon in Ryan Biese's Exodus series preached at First Presbyterian (PCA), Fort Oglethorpe, GA, this time from chapter 32, verses 15-24 -- the account of Moses' encounter with Aaron and the idol-worshiping Israelites.
Recent show guest Mark Robinson preaches at First Presbyterian Church, Fort Oglethorpe, GA on the dramatic events recounted in Galatians 2 and their implication for believers and the church.
We are happy to offer this excellent sermon by pastor Ryan Biese of First Presbyterian (PCA), Fort Oglethorpe, GA. The text is Exodus 32: 1-6 (the golden calf), the title is "Make God Relevant Again," and the theme (in part) is that this incident was an early example of the "progressive" tendency in religion. There's also much about the deceitfulness of sin and the importance of proper worship.
Here's a wonderful sermon on Ecclesiastes 3 by our friend Ryan Biese, pastor of First Presbyterian Church (PCA) of Fort Oglethorpe, GA. He is an alumnus of Grove City College in Pennsylvania and received his seminary training at Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson MS. https://www.fpfo.org/

The mission of this podcast is to highlight the beauty and diversity of God's Church – both in Chattanooga and the Church at large.Even with working a full-time job and pastoring a church, there's one thing Zach makes room for on his schedule every week: praying with other ministry leaders. In this episode, Zach shares his transformative experiences (and ordinary experiences) from his pastoral prayer group. Before Zach joined this prayer group, the success and survival of his church plant bore heavily on him. By sharing his burdens, being prayed for, and praying for other pastors, Zach's spiritual and emotional health improved, and he's seen God work in his church and personal life. But this doesn't mean that every meeting produces miracles; as Zach and Adam both point out, it's the constancy in community, prayer, and confession that makes the difference.Listen in to this episode to hear more about the efficacy of pastors bearing each other's burdens and working on their character in community. About Adam WhitescarverAdam is passionate about seeing God's people possess vibrant prayer lives to help them make a difference in the sphere of influence God has given them. In ministry since 2001, Adam enjoys his family, teaching, singing, and reading a myriad of subjects. He and his wife, Stephanie, live in North GA with their four children. The mission of this podcast is to highlight the beauty and diversity of God's Church – both in Chattanooga and the Church at large. What Orchard Church may lack in size is made up for by the blend of families and individuals in the congregation. In this episode, Zach and Adam discuss how to attract different types of people to your church and how sometimes, all it takes is one person. There's three things Zach has done to cultivate a diverse church. First, he's led by example in loving others well, encouraging his congregants to do the same. Second, Zach has intentionally put pastors on staff who aren't the same ethnicity as himself, encouraging other non-white individuals and families to attend. Last, Orchard Church deliberately pursues low-income families, not just for the sake of outreach, but to let them know they're welcome and valued in the church.Listen in to this episode to hear about the strengths and weaknesses of Orchard's generational diversity, and find out why “anchor” families and individuals are so important when it comes to attracting different kinds of people. The mission of this podcast is to highlight the beauty and diversity of God's Church – both in Chattanooga and the Church at large. From Orchard Church's first service, Zach has witnessed God's favor and providence for this church plant. In this episode, Zach walks through the evolution of Orchard from a family Bible study to a small but purposeful congregation. When his pastor suggested starting a church, Zach balked – and then God began to show him the people in his life who needed the kind of church he was going to plant. With the support of his family, Zach began meeting with others in his parents' house until the opportunity arose to meet at a local YMCA. God had told him that Orchard would be a place for those who had never been to church or had been hurt by the church, and that's exactly who showed up to the first official service.Listen in to this episode to hear more about Zach's calling, and find out about his niche small business. The mission of this podcast is to highlight the beauty and diversity of God's Church – both in Chattanooga and the Church at large.Reverend Zach de Vaux is no ordinary pastor. Not only does he lead a church plant in Fort Oglethorpe, GA, but Zach also works a full-time job AND is an entrepreneur (more on that in the next episode). In this episode, Zach talks about his background and how he manages being a bivocational pastor.Zach already owned a business when he was called to plant a church as a twenty-five-year-old. Without significant training or mentorship, he and his wife, Becky, started Orchard Church. Although the process has been painful at times, over the years, Zach has learned how to measure success and manage his stress for a sustainable life as pastor, husband, and dad. This interview was recorded at the dealership where Zach works during the day, so over the next four episodes, you'll hear background noise fitting for Zach's stories of life as a bivocational pastor. On this week's Desperate Theology, we crown another lucky lady! In other news, Carl & Todd have a question about preference in preaching: what's the best rule-of thumb … is it best to preach thematically or systematically? Do you go big-picture, dabble in topics, or lead your congregation through a one-book series? What issues does each approach pose? It's certainly not rocket science but well worth a conversation … (or are the boys making it more complicated than it needs to be?).The Alliance of Confessing Evangelicals has a few copies of "The Power of Gospel Preaching."The winners are:Jonathan S., Warrior, ALPete W., Bellingham, WADerrick B., Fort Oglethorpe, GAJoseph B., Doylestown, PA
