Will Doctor gives you the sharpest card for week 16 at the RBC Heritage & Corales Puntacana Championship! -Reviewing Rory completing the grand slam at the 89th Masters -Discussing top 8 at Heritage -1 matchup -2 t10's -3 outrights (+475, 50/1, 90/1) -Sleeper, 2 lineups, scoring, best bet -2 FRL for Corales -2 outrights for Corales -1 t10 for Corales The transcript begins with host Will Docter reacting to Rory McIlroy's landmark Masters victory, completing the career Grand Slam and joining an elite group of six. Mike Tirico's emotional broadcast is cited, capturing McIlroy's on-course collapse in tears. Rory's press conference reflects on inspiration from Tiger Woods, struggles throughout the day, and mental strength, particularly after early double bogeys. A note from Ángel Cabrera added a sentimental touch. Rory's rounds of 72, 66, 66, and 73 included four double bogeys—no past Masters winner had ever overcome as many. Docter notes Rory's final round featured both mistakes and immediate recoveries, such as birdies following doubles and clutch iron shots, particularly a hook 7-iron on the 15th hole. Despite sloppy play off the tee and below-average putting, his elite approach and short game, backed by years of mental training, led him to victory over contenders like Justin Rose, who shot a 66 on Sunday to force a playoff but fell short. The loss marked Rose's second defeat in a Masters playoff. Docter transitions to a betting review, citing a 12.6-unit loss on the Masters, part of a 74.6-unit deficit on the season. Key misfires included failed bets on Sepp Straka and Tom Hoge, both below-average chippers—highlighting a key error in strategy at Augusta. Ludwig Åberg nearly contended until a late collapse; Collin Morikawa's first-round falter also ruined early bets. Sungjae Im was a bright spot with a fifth-place finish. Doctor criticizes his overreliance on players with poor short games and reviews each ticket, including failed first-round bets and frustrating near misses like Shane Lowry, who imploded with an 81 on Sunday. Shifting to the RBC Heritage at Harbor Town, Docter details the course as favoring accurate drivers, sharp approach play from 150–175 yards, and strong Bermuda putting. He reviews top favorites. Scheffler (+425) is a strong pick, showing consistent elite form and success at Harbor Town last year. Morikawa, Henley, and Fleetwood are dismissed due to poor putting. Corey Conners and Åberg are borderline due to form and past finishes. Schauffele is in good form but not elite in the critical approach range. Cantlay and Fleetwood are passed due to inconsistent recent play. A key matchup pick is Ryan Gerard over Adam Scott, citing Scott's issues with driving and putting. Gerard is also the sleeper pick to top 20. Two “picks to place” include Schauffele top 10 (+120), based on elite approach numbers and improving putting, and JT Poston top 10 (+375), with recent putting resurgence and three top-10s at Harbor Town. Outright picks include Scheffler, Berger (50:1), praised for driving accuracy and course history, and Bud Cauley (90:1), with recent top-5 finishes and elite stats in the target range. Fantasy lineups are provided for DraftKings and PGA.com platforms, with lineups built around Scheffler, Schauffele, Im, Berger, Poston, and Cauley. The predicted winning score is 19-under. The best bet is Sungjae Im as top Asian (+160), citing strong course history and lack of serious competition beyond Ryo Hisatsune. For Corrales, Mitchell (28:1) and Hall (33:1) are first-round leader picks based on scoring averages. Outright bets are Packieter and Cootie at 45:1, while Alejandro Tosti is selected to top 10 at +333 based on form despite putting concerns. The podcast wraps with reminders of betting value and expectations heading into the next week. Predicted winning score: 19-under-par at RBC Heritage. Picking up where we last left off, The Tempests had been fairly naughty in the Takatari dynasty, murdering a sizable amount of Redguards who were attempting to apprehend them under the orders of the Shogun's Chief Advisor. After some hefty reprimanding from their acquaintance/kidnapee Tanaka, Kasumi decided that she would turn herself in the next morning. This was a lie however, as Kasumi slipped off in the middle of the night to return the medallion personally. Successfully slipping into the palace grounds, Kasumi was unaware that she had been followed and a short Benny Hill Scene occurred where she tried to shake her pursuer. That is until he threatened the safety of her friends. Submitting to the Kenku, Kasumi was brought before the Shogun and the medallion was returned to its rightful owner. Much to her dismay, Kasumi was not allowed to speak her mind and attempt to explain her decisions, and was instead thrown into the Yamadoku Prison to await her fellow Tempests who had been ordered captured by the Shogun. With surprisingly little hostility, the Tempests were apprehended and brought before the Shogun. Though the Shogun wished them executed, the Chief Advisor Okazaki convinced the Shogun to make use of their skills instead with Community Service. Their first task: Retrieve the moss that grows under the Weeping Sequoia and bring it to the Harbor Town that is currently quarantined and suffering from a plague.   A huge shoutout to Nick Black who made our intro jingle. A is for Architecture's 108th episode is a conversation with urban designer and President of the Congress for the New Urbanism, Mallory B.E. Baches.  With roots in the works of Jane Jacobs and Lewis Mumford, and later through Leon Krier and Christopher Alexander, the CNU was founded in 1993 as a ‘planning and development approach based on the principles of how cities and towns had been built for the last several centuries: walkable blocks and streets, housing and shopping in close proximity, and accessible public spaces. In other words: New Urbanism focuses on human-scaled urban design.'  The movement's influence has been very wide, underpinning new classical and traditional developments, such as at Brandevoort in Holland, Harbor Town, USA and Poundbury in England. Arguably, recent movements like 15 Minute Cities have their roots in New Urbanist logics too. As such, might New Urbanism best be understood as other modern? You can find Mallory on her personal website, on Instagram, LinkedIn and X too. Thanks for listening. +  Music credits: Bruno Gillick

EPISODE 215We held our first Vegas Golf Network MAJOR of the season this past weekend, and once again, Paiute Golf Resort shined like the star it is. And since all three of us tee'd it up in the tournament, we had a little recap about the event. The PGA Tour announced the "NEW" FedEx Cup Fall; we don't know what to call it. Series, Events, whatever. But it's good news and brings some changes to the Fall events that should make it interesting, to say the least, but it's doubtful any of the top players in the world ever tee it up again in a fall event again,  but time will tell. Another DESIGNATED PGA Tour Event took place, and this one was immediately after a MAJOR! Jon Rahm proved he is the real deal, not only playing in the event but hopping in the booth and analyzing the final groups as they finished up.We talked about the Cantlay slow play, Spieth almost going back to back, Fitzy and the INSANE 9I from 175 to win in the playoff, and the heat Rory is getting for pulling out of the tournament and not even saying why.We covered the odds for the PGA Tour team event, and then Jeremy decided to confront Matt on his tinkering as yet another new putter is coming to the bag for the Mayor of Tinkertown. ---------------------------------------------------If you haven't checked out our NEW YouTube channel, please do and hit that Subscribe Button for us! The RBC Heritage handed out their Tartan Jacket to Stewart Cink after he put on a clinic at Harbor Town to claim his 3rd win there, and second this season after not winning for 11 years. Hosts Alex Lauzon and Michael Russell look at Cink's chances of winning again this year, and how the rest of the field fared in Hilton Head Island (1:49). In the Korn Ferry Tour, past guest Ryan French (The Monday Q Guy) was on the bag of this week's guest Mark Baldwin, tweeting about the entire experience like a champ (9:48). And over in the LPGA, Lydia Ko also returned to the winner's circle, absolutely demolishing the field at the Lotte Championship in Hawaii (10:49). All this winning makes Michael and Alex want to get back out to the course themselves, and give back with the First Tee as part of their new partnership with the Greater Austin chapter (12:19). The PGA Tour heads to New Orleans this weekend for the unique Zurich Classic, where it's all about team golf! Alex and Michael share some picks and thoughts on this unique golf tournament (13:19). In Tuned In, Alex is watching soccer(!) as his town of Austin welcomes its new MLS team (16:12). This week's guest is a fellow New England native to Alex and Michael, and a Korn Ferry Tour pro. Mark Baldwin shares his story of becoming a professional golfer, and the joys (and hardships) of not always knowing you'll be playing in a tournament (18:40). As baseball season rolls on, Michael's Yankees are faltering and Alex's Red Sox are surging (55:51). Who would have thought? As Alex and Michael #AlwaysEndWithFood, Alex shares his plans to return to restaurants, and Michael does a live taste test of a new soda flavor (57:15). On today’s episode of the Happy Half Hour—first things first—we’re announcing the winner of our 100th episode Fantasy Restaurant Draft. Plus, we’re dishing on Hot Plates news—Little Italy Food Hall, Casa Rústica in Carmel Valley, and a new project in Oceanside, helmed by ex-Bice chef/owner Mario Cassineri. Joining us is Master French Chef Patrick Ponsaty of Hotel del Coronado’s 1500 Ocean. He talks to us about using local farmers, the ingredients he grows at the hotel garden, and menu items like an egg caviar we get to try during the show. In the guest seat is Chad Cline, owner of the iconic local dive bar the Waterfront, as well as six other spots in town, including Harbor Town and Club Marina. His Little Italy bar has been in the Cline family since his great-grandfather bought the space, and Chad tells us what it was like to grow up sleeping literally under the bar and how those memorable photos on the wall came to be. Our hot topic delves into Troy’s realm: the world of reviewing restaurants. He explains why he doesn’t review new establishments and reveals the fake name he uses for reservations. We end with Two People/$50, including Bali Hai, Nolita Hall, Olympic Cafe, and Flying Pig Pub & Kitchen.

He beat Kevin Kisner in a playoff. Ken Davis, volunteer tournament co-chairman, calls in to talk to Holly and Jeff about a charity tournament coming up May 3 at Alaqua Country Club. The Orlando Senior Help Desk. The Senior Help Desk helps enrich senior's lives and assistance family members who are faced with aging family members.  Orlando's Senior Help Desk is a free service providing information to help navigate the senior maze. Whether it is a question concerning housing, health care, social concerns or anything regarding seniors in the Orlando / Central Florida area. Holly asks Jeff about his new endeavors working with the Prime Sports Network. Jeff has a weekly golf podcast at 8 pm Wednesday's. Furyk's win at the RBC Heritage in Harbor town marked his 17th win on Tour, that includes a major championship and a close call on a second major. Jeff revisited Furyk's unfortunate errant shot on 16 that cost him a possible second major championship years ago. He lost to Jason Dufner at the PGA Championship in 2013. and has finished second twice at the U.S. Open. Jeff pointed out that Furyk's game is well-suited for Harbor Town and that is why he played so well, but he's  at a disadvantage in wide open courses like this week's course at a tournament. Holly asks Jeff about the play of Jordan Spieth over the past 7 months. Jeff stated that he feels Spieth is the best golfer in the world over the past seven months, especially with everything that Spieth has accomplished. He won 3 tournaments on 3 continent.  Damon Hack, The Golf Channel, calls in to talk to Holly and Jeff about the Furyk and Friends Golf Tournament charity event in Jacksonville, Fla., that Damon and Furyk took part in on Monday in Ponte Vedre the day following the RBC Heritage.  Holly asks Damon his take on Jordan Spieth's success at such a young age. Damon says that Spieth he tries to learn from others like Tom Watson, Ben Crenshaw, Brandel Chamblee. "He isn't out there playing like he knows everything about the game, instead he is all about improving his game. With Spieth's success, Holly, Jeff and Damon discuss the future of pro golf and talk about this new generation of pro golfers and how some of them aren't fazed by the big moments. "If you think about it, Jordan has only played 8 professional rounds at Augusta and he finished second last year and won this year.   Terrie Purdum, Southern Golf Central Magazine, wraps up the hour speaking with Holly and Jeff about the 16 years she has been in business publishing Florida Golf Central, (now Southern Golf Central). Terrie is asking listeners and readers to send in photos of fathers playing with their sons for the upcoming Father's Day issue. Over the years Terrie and her staff have covered more charity events in the area than any other publication. Now they have expanded to become Southern Golf Central and online their e magazine has a circulation of more than 180,000.
