Anna feels so strongly that the Teacher Friday Workbox® is the solution to ease the overwhelm and increase teacher retention, she created a course in the formal setting of a university. She's here today to give a peek inside the course. She knew based on her previous life in the education world that not all courses qualify to be reimbursed. There needs to be a focus on how the student would benefit from the teacher completing this course. Proactively, she knew to include SEL (social and emotional learning) standards. SEL being included makes the course even more attractive to those that would be approving reimbursement because schools are starting to require these skills to be taught, but there isn't a lot of material out there for teachers yet. AND in this course, Anna provides lesson plans for the teachers enrolled in this course.  We alluded to schools having funds that were for personal development. And they are Region 10 from Covid funds and in schools that have innovation as one of their core objectives; you can access funds earmarked for innovation workforce readiness in either essential or soft skills. Schools will reimburse for 60%-100% once you produce your transcript.  Anna took time in this episode to read the course description. She was sure to stress the importance of learning organizational systems to support executive function. It explains how teachers will learn how to streamline their administrative tasks. And then she went over the modules. Module 1 is getting started and an introduction from yours truly. In Module 2, there will be a focus on ADHD for students and teachers and you get to listen to the ADHD podcast. Module 3 is so much fun as you set up your workbox, label your slash pockets, and dive into the app. Module 4 is learning how to support students' organizational skills and learn about the Lisa Binder; this is the module with the lesson plans helping students to develop SEL standards like self management competency. The last module will reiterate the importance of practicing all the skills and systems you have been taught. Curious? i3Health has developed a dual part education activity for pharmacists on Multiple myeloma with special guest Joseph A. Kalis, PharmD, BCOP and Ambulatory Oncology Pharmacy Specialist.  Multiple myeloma is a clonal plasma cell malignancy characterized by several cytogenetic alterations. Treatment planning for individual patients is complicated by factors such as age, frailty, comorbidities, eligibility for autologous stem cell transplantation, and risk stratification.  Clinicians need to continually update their working knowledge of emerging data and consensus recommendations that can rationally inform clinical decision making. In Module 1 of this continuing pharmacy education (CPE)–approved activity, Joseph A. Kalis, PharmD, BCOP, Ambulatory Oncology Clinical Pharmacy Specialist at the University of Colorado Health, will explore evolving treatment paradigms in newly diagnosed multiple myeloma, including the efficacy and safety of anti-CD38 monoclonal antibodies and supportive care considerations for their use.

IWPP306 Podcast Transcript Passion, Purpose, Making Money; Building Your Wellness Business NOW! Working with integrative wellness professionals on Attracting New Clients I learned about the message follow your Passion to Make Money. I believe after being in this business for decades going about building your business using this concept is a disservice to those wanting to Build their wellness business. Follow your Passion and Make Money is not the equation that will result in Building The Wellness Business You Want. Building Your Wellness Business is a strategic intentionally planned out endeavor. That by definition is your Purpose. A passion is a strong or powerful emotion. A purpose is one’s intention to achieve objectives . Following your Passion and Building Your Wellness Business in most cases is actually a dichotomy.   Building The Wellness Business You Want does not result from following your passions. Building The Wellness Business You Want does result from following your purpose.   Purpose can be generated from passion but Building a Wellness Business is dependent on solid strategic intentional actions that fulfill objectives that lead to the next and next step in Building Your Business. The majority of marketing advice I heard from students that they were following was: Follow your passion, create your product put it out there so you are seen as an expert; have a good funnel and become financially comfortable. When participants came into the ATTRACT NEW CLIENTS course they, of course, had their service or an end product already made or in mind and what happened was I believe a surprise to both sides. Mine and theirs. In Module 1 they set up 2-time saving tools covering a top need of theirs of organization and time. This was a quick successful undertaking and we moved into Module 2 the Message module. This is where immediate discomfort; resistance and confusion of what the assignments were leading to arose. The pieces we need to Set up the Attract New Clients System; the system that can bring wellness professionals the New Clients they want for their Business service or product seemed for many; I was told a leap of faith because they did not know where I was going with the Lessons in the Module. The preconceived notion of what the Message Module would be did not line up for them. It took a while for me to absorb that some actually wanted a blueprint; an explanation up front in the Message Module. They wanted to know how the lessons would be of value to them, how they added up to be a part of their Attracting New Clients Message. I had no idea that this was the first time they would go through this type of exercise. When I found myself explaining the very information we must have to work out How to Attract their prospective New Clients toward them— that is when I understood— many had not focused before on their purpose. The Foundational KEY to their offering, their business! They had mission statements, they had avatars, they had focused on titles, books, courses to position themselves and did a lot of work in this type of discovery but had not yet worked through the process it takes to know whether their purpose and the want/need of the prospective client they were going for matched with their service or product This one missing step leaves us without the messaging we need to Attract New Clients to those very products and services. It made, even more, sense to me now why so many talented integrative professionals had their Top Need as Attracting New Clients. The discovery exercise to be sure our purpose and product/service match with the need and want is the basis of how we go about the steps necessary to create the Messaging that will Attract New Clients. The Attract System Setup is 100% dependent on the Message. The Message is 100% dependent on the top need/want of the prospective new client matching the purpose of the business owner. This Messaging is the very thing that will set their Wellness Business apart from the rest. I began to think this module 2 could have been a course on its own. I took the students suggestion of explaining and showing the reasoning behind the Message lessons. I then decided to expand that and put this information out there for others like you. If I want to change the paradigm of the world’s wellness by getting as many integrated wellness practitioners out there available for all those who so desperately need them I need to share this epiphany with as many of you as possible. The Module 2 Lessons were real work for the participants, as was the resistance, the realizations that came out of the lessons and the Messages it was amazing. Some told me they finally felt at home and congruent in their purpose, in what they have to offer and how to articulate it succinctly and with a confidence. This Message that evolved from their work will translate to those they want to attract. The transformation of their Message was amazing. Some moved their idea of who they wanted to serve completely around Their product and service is the same what changed is who and how they Attract them. Others felt like their true offerings could now percolate to the top as they were now free of the burden they placed on themselves trying to follow the marketing gurus. It took us 3x the amount of time allotted for this Module. This extra time has value for them and me. I learned so much about their needs/wants their words, perspectives. Leading me to share this information in this podcast with you. There are 2 takeaways for you today. 1.To let you know if your business is not building using the passion for making money concept there is a reason and it’s not you. The follow your passion you have been working so hard at is actually a Dichotomy. It is partitioning of your time into two focuses that are jointly exhaustive and incongruent to your goal of Building Your Wellness Business. If your focus is on your title, product, service instead of your clients want and needs that align with your purpose your business will not have the foundation to grow. The best name, titles, programs, funnels that are informed by your passion (a strong or powerful emotion) leaves out the 2 most crucial elements that Your Wellness Business is Built on the need/want of the client ( and it must be their need and want not what you believe to be their need and want. That can only come from their words. determining if those needs of clients you are going after match your purpose (the intention or objective of building your wellness business). Setting up the Attract System (which is your message) is the very first Step in the Building The Wellness Business You Want Blueprint. The Attract Step Message is 100% individual to your business. Out of the Attract Message Process, the ‘Perfect Pitch’ is generated. This exact message is what will Attract The New Clients in a nanosecond. You may have found your purpose through your passions. That is truly awesome. BUT knowing Your Wellness Business is built on your purpose; your intentions that fulfill the objectives results in Establishing Your Business. When the steps to the Message Process is complete the strategic mapping out; discovery of prospective clients needs and wants. Understanding their hurdles, their objections; the words that will resonate with them immediately…. that is when your business has the foundation on which to begin establishing itself. The online courses, products, websites coming from a place of passion are literally a diversion from what you must first do to accomplish the first phase ( the Establishment Phase) of Building The Wellness Business You Want Now. They have their place in Building Your Wellness Business, they can even be parallel BUT they cannot replace taking the first Step of working out your Message. Taking the actions to identify how your purpose and the Top Need/want of your potential client Merge. That is what your business is built on. Developing your Message to build your Attract System for the expertise you have Now is the fastest way to Begin to Build The Wellness Business you Want NOW and This same process will be used by you again and again and again growing your business, building the thread that will shine on your expertise like nothing else. As you learn from the clients; just like I learned from my student’s needs you discover what the next and the next product is your ability to exponentially expand your business then grows. Knowing your purpose matches with their needs creates a connection that leads to understanding more of their needs and wants. They are part of the equation. They are part of your purpose.You will continue to build the services and products to fulfill them. Each building on the one before. Intentionally moving you from one step to the next building the financial viable wellness Business you want NOW and in the future. All this from doing the work it takes to master your Message. I hope this relieves some of you thinking about not fulfilling your dream of building the wellness business you want. Straight-A Guide Program: During my imprisonment, we developed the literature for this program. It all began under the theory that people in prison would be more receptive to learning from individuals who had transformed their lives while they experienced the prison system. Prisoners sometimes rejected a message when that message came from people who didn’t know the pain of being separated from the people they loved, or from the people who loved them. We wanted to reach prisoners. We wanted to convince those people that it was never too early, and it was never too late to begin preparing for a better life. I wrote three books to share lessons that empowered me through the multiple decades that I served. They weren’t my lessons, but lessons I learned from people I called masterminds. In truth, we all faced struggle during the course of our life. Many people overcame struggles that were far more significant than a lengthy prison sentence. I learned from those people and I convinced that other people can learn from those lessons as well. With continued funding from The California Wellness Foundation, The Sierra Health Foundation, The Cornerstone Project, and other philanthropic groups, we were able to create a comprehensive series of lesson plans and accompanying videos. Our 10 separate learning modules included five lessons in each module, for a total of 50 lessons. Funding allowed us to retain the team at Landini Media, SRV Studios, and Open Advance. Together we created more than 12 hours of high-quality video footage to complete our Straight-A Guide training program. Tulio Cardozo assisted me in designing the lesson-plan layouts. Through the Straight-A Guide, we aspired to teach actionable strategies for self-empowerment. People in prison or in at-risk populations could use those strategies to transform their lives in the same way that others have done. The program worked as follows:   Values: Transformation begins when we identify and articulate values by which we profess to live. In the Straight-A Guide, I taught that message through the context of my own journey. First, I needed to accept responsibility and let the world know that I wanted to become something more than what I was at present. Rather than allowing my past bad decisions to define me, I thought about my avatars. By asking Socratic questions about what they would expect of me, I could define the values by which I professed to live. My avatars would expect me to educate myself, to contribute to society, and to build a support network. Those three principles became the values by which I professed to live. Through the lessons plans I created in Module 1, I encouraged participants to identify values by which they professed to live.   Goals: Once I identified my values, I needed to create a definition of success for each value category. My own definition of success didn’t matter. Instead, I needed to resume my question-approach to learning. How would my avatars define whether I succeeded in my pursuit of education? I anticipated that they would measure an education by a college degree. How would my avatars define whether I succeeded with regard to my contributions to society? I anticipated that if I were to publish, they would consider that I had worked to make a quantifiable contribution. How would my avatars define whether I had built a support network? I anticipated that if I persuaded 10 people to believe in me, and vouch for me, my avatars would find it easier to accept me. Accordingly, I set goals of earning a university degree, of publishing, and of finding 10 people to believe in me within my first decade of confinement. In Module 2, the lessons encouraged participants to articulate their goals, and to make them consistent with their values.   Attitude: Identifying values and goals was the prerequisite to embarking upon the Straight-A Guide. The next Module encouraged participants to move forward with the “right” attitude. What was the right attitude? In the Straight-A Guide we identified the right attitude as a 100% commitment to success—as the individual’s values and goals defined success.   Aspiration: Individuals who moved forward with the right attitude could articulate their aspiration. In Module 4, we taught participants how to see themselves as something more than their past bad decisions or their current circumstances. Instead, we wanted them to project into the future, to see themselves as the success they wanted to build. In essence, we taught them to become the CEOs of their own lives. If they knew what they wanted to become, then they could craft more effective plans that would help them reach the end result.   Action: To become something more, or to reach their highest potential, participants learned that they needed to take incremental action steps. In Module 5, we showed that every person who achieved a high level of success followed this path. People had to execute their plans in order to reach a higher potential. Regardless of where an individual was at a given time, that person could begin taking action steps that would lead to a new and better reality.   Accountability: In Module 6, we showed participants the importance of creating their own accountability metrics. They would need to figure out ways to measure their incremental progress. Even if they anticipated having to pass through decades before their release, or if they didn’t have a release date, this module taught participants ways to hold themselves accountable, making adjustments as necessary.   Awareness: With Module 7, participants learned the cumulative influences of living a deliberated, values-based, goal-oriented adjustment. By living in accordance with the Straight-A Guide, participants would become aware of opportunities. Those opportunities were available to everyone else, but only those who committed to the deliberate path would find them and seize such opportunities. Simultaneously, others would become aware of their commitment to success. Accordingly, they would find people who would have a vested interest in their success—people who would invest in them to advance their success with new opportunities.   Achievement: Module 8 taught about the importance of celebrating incremental achievements. By celebrating each achievement, no matter how small, participants could sustain their growth patterns as months turned into years. They would know and understand how success in one area of life would lead to further successes.   Appreciation: The penultimate module taught participants that they could increase their successes by expressing appreciation for the blessings that came their way. It’s a version of a theory known as “The Law of Attraction,” showing that we could will more success and abundance into our life so long as we reciprocated, bringing more success and abundance to others.   Actualization: Finally, the Straight-A Guide taught participants that by living in accordance with this values-based, goal-oriented strategy, they could empower themselves. They would rely on authorities or others to tell them they were free. Instead, they could create higher levels of liberty in their life by embarking upon their own path, living their own visions. Once we filmed all of the lessons and finalized all of the lesson plans, Justin and I reached into the marketplace so we could start spreading our work.

Self Talk yourself to success. Motivational, life changing, positive, and empowering affirmations / self talk that can re-program our subconscious mind. When repeated over time, Self Talk can change our thoughts, our new thoughts will change our beliefs, our new beliefs will change our attitudes, our new attitudes will change our behavior and new behavior will produce new results in our lives. This Module covers Self Talk on the topic of "Healthy Mindset". In Module 1 of my podcasts, I explained that the subconscious mind is like a garden. It does not differentiate between the types of seeds you plant in this garden. Be aware and careful of what you are conscious of. Wealthy people are wealth conscious.
