If you want to attract something different in your life, you will need to energetically match that new thing. This means that you are going to have to be a different person and do different things, because if you were already an energetic match to what you want, you would have it. Look around at where you are right now and what you have, and consider that you are an energetic match to those things. If you want more, you've got to step up your game.Being the diamond can apply in all areas of your life. Anything you want or desire in life can be "the diamond." So, whatever it is that you are desiring in your life right now - more money, a loving relationship, a promotion, more clients, a higher-level of friends and associations, more freedom, (and really anything), you have to start being the kind of person that matches the energy of those things. One of the secret ingredients to effective manifestation is having faith in a higher power. And what's interesting is that this higher power is different for everyone.The key is connection, faith, and trust.That is why my higher power is a woman. She is a mom. She loves me unconditionally and wants the best for me. Similar to my own experiences as a mom, I know it makes her sad when I don't believe in myself and when I hold myself back. She always wants me to go after my dreams because she personally knows my talents and potential. She is always willing to help me - no matter what. The foundation of manifestation is the idea that God or Divine Intelligence has a beautiful plan for you and that everything is happening for you and for your benefit. Gabby Bernstein has said that "the Universe has your back," and if you can shift your faith and beliefs to this foundation that everything is rigged in your favor, then you will be ready to manifest everything good that you have ever wanted in your life.In this episode, I share ways that you can start using this technique to get through simple situations (like having to wait longer than expected in traffic or the grocery store). It is best to start using this technique in small and simple ways as a start.I also share some personal experiences where I have been able to look back years after a difficult experience and see that situation as a moment that pushed me towards a different destiny. This week we talk about subliminal messaging - yes, the kind you remember hearing about when you were a teenager and the adults told you to stop listening to Stairway to Heaven by Led Zepplin - those subliminals.The reason why I became so interested in subliminal messaging is because of its connection to the subconscious mind, and you know that I am all about reprogramming the subconscious mind so that you can start manifesting faster and more effectively. This year I've had a chance to learn a lot more about subliminal messaging and how it can be used to slow down the aging process, help cure disease, and how it can help us move past limiting beliefs about what we think we are capable of doing – it's pretty cool!I've even used myself as an experiment! Having expectations for the people and situations in your life is the fastest way to make you dissatisfied and unhappy. When you have expectations about how someone is supposed to be or how a situation is supposed to play out, you are basing your happiness, the quality of your day – your life on the behavior of someone else. And you probably know by now that you can't control another person's behavior. So, if you are waking up with anxiety, or worry or anger because of another person or situation – you are only affecting the quality of your own life. You deserve so much better! And it can be so much better if you begin to control those thoughts. It may sound counterintuitive, but lowering your expectations can really help. I'm not talking about the expectations you have for yourself and what you can accomplish. I'm talking about the expectations you have for your kids, your spouse, and the neighbor that lets his dog bark all day. I love personality tests and this one is no exception. Even though there are only 9 types (as opposed to the 16 in Myers-Briggs), there is so much that can be learned when you know your own enneagram and the enneagrams of the people around you.Knowing what drives people or scares them, and having insight about what means the most to them, can help you in all of your relationships. When you have an idea – They say if you keep taking steps every day – even small steps, that your success is inevitable – It will happen. A few years ago, I was diagnosed with ADHD. I never realized I had the condition because I was always in a line of work that required uber-focus and had constant high intensity (so it was like a constant dopamine hit). After I changed careers and started doing more desk-work, I noticed my inability to stay on task, focus or complete projects. The few times I had to finish something (like give a presentation at a conference), I was able to pull it together – but only because my ass was on the line and I had a non-negotiable deadline.In learning more about this condition in women, I found out that many women don't figure out they have ADHD until later in life. They have some kind of tipping point where they realize something is wrong. If they don't get medical help, some women just think they are not smart enough, not organized enough, not young enough (really the list can go on forever) …In this podcast, I talk about my own journey with ADHD and how after I was diagnosed, so many experiences in my life finally made sense. What is manifestation?It may sound crazy, but I had no clue what manifestation was until about 3 years ago. Like no clue whatsoever. I'm not sure I ever even heard the word – or if I did, I had no idea what it meant. What I would give to go back and explain it all to my teenage self!And if you are listening to this podcast, you may not quite know what manifestation is all about, either. So, this is for you. As of today, most of us have had at least one week under a stay-at-home order. To say this has been challenging for most people is an understatement.The stress and anxiety surrounding our ability to work and pay our bills is something we did not expect. Then, add children (and teens) into the mix and, damn. Having to monitor, teach, entertain, feed, and all the other things have left us feeling very ill-equipped to handle the pressure.I've noticed this stay-at-home order and the uncertainty about the virus has brought out the best and worst in people. I have witnessed kindness and also rage.
