The Middle East finds itself teetering on the brink of a full-scale regional conflict as the world marks one year since the October 7th Hamas attacks. Israel has intensified its military operations against Iran-backed forces across multiple fronts, leaving destruction in its wake. In the span of a week, the assassination of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah and Israel's ground offensive into Lebanon have thrown gasoline on an already raging fire.On this episode of the GZERO World Podcast, Ian Bremmer sits down with Iran's Vice President for Strategic Affairs Mohammad Javad Zarif, just before the Nasrallah assassination news broke. They discuss Iran's recent actions during this critical time. In their conversation, Zarif discusses the conflict's broader regional impact, Iran's right to self-defense, and its determination that Iran will not fall into Israel's “trap.” Zarif also weighs in on the upcoming US presidential election, speculating on whether a Harris or Trump administration would benefit Iran, and addresses the rumors of an alleged Iranian plot to assassinate former President Donald Trump. He says, "We don't send people to assassinate people. I think it's a campaign ploy." Zarif adds that, despite the new Iranian President's pledge for a rapprochement with the West, recent developments have only driven the wedge further. Tensions in the Middle East have reached a new high following a helicopter crash that killed the Iranian President and Foreign Minister last weekend. This paired with the devastating news that many hostages being held by Hamas were killed at the beginning of the conflict, despite many families holding out hope for months. To break down this week's developments in the Middle East, FOX News Foreign Correspondent Alex Hogan discusses how she believes Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi's death will impact the country and the region, where ceasefire and hostage negotiations currently stand in the Israel-Hamas War, and what she's seen reporting in the region. The number of migrants crossing the southern border fell significantly in the last few months, but the political fight hasn't waned. The issue remains a top concern for many Americans and both parties are trying to convince voters they have solutions to the migrant crisis. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer tried to advance a long-stalled bipartisan agreement this week, but the measure failed to overcome a filibuster with opposition mounted from both parties. FOX News Senior Congressional Correspondent Chad Pergram speculates as to why the vote was held and questions if there is a path forward to break the gridlock of immigration politics. In today's episode, Andy & DJ discuss Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi dying in a helicopter crash in a remote region, several Morehouse college students turning their backs to President Biden during the commencement address, and the New Jersey court throwing out 80 charges against Ian Smith.
Jeff Stanfield & Andy Shaver discuss some of the bigger topics going on in our world today, including, the death of the Iranian President, the upcoming presidential debate, the Scheffler arrest, the NASCAR brawl, and Harrison Butker's commencement address.
As Election Day gets closer, former President Donald Trump continues to assert that the New York hush-money trial is “a scam” and “a witch hunt.” The former president denies he falsified business records before the 2016 election, blaming his mounting legal issues on his opponent, President Biden. Anchor and executive editor of The Story on the Fox News Channel, Martha MacCallum, explains why former President Trump has an advantage over President Biden, previews the veepstakes, and discusses why the only thing the candidates agree on is keeping Robert F. Kennedy Jr. off the debate stage. Early Monday morning, Iranian state media confirmed that President Ebrahim Raisi died in a helicopter crash that also killed the country's foreign minister. Now questions arise as to what foreign relations with the country will be like under interim President Mohammad Mokhber. Congressman Darrell Issa (R-CA) joins the Rundown to discuss how the Iranian President's death impacts foreign policy, how the Biden administration has been handling conflict in the Middle East, and what measures he would like to see taken against the authoritative regime. On this Tuesday edition of Sid & Friends in the Morning, we're going after actor George Clooney's wife Amal, who advised ICC lawyer Karim Khan to issue arrest warrants for Israel's Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu and their minister of defense Yoav Gallant, for alleged war crimes in their fight against the terrorist organization Hamas. As Netanyahu put it following the issuing of said warrants, branding Israel's leaders and soldiers as war criminals will only pour jet fuel on the fire that is rampant anti-Semitism in America and across the globe. In other news of the day, Sid denounces the U.N. Security Council for holding a moment of silence for the Iranian President, candidate Donald Trump gears up for his rally in the south Bronx later on this week, and New York City Mayor Eric Adams says he is considering rescinding Diddy's Key to the City. A helicopter crash over the weekend has launched tensions in the Middle East to new heights, following news that the incident killed the Iranian President and Foreign Minister. Additionally, overseas, the Chief Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court claims he's seeking arrest warrants for both Israeli and Hamas leaders due to their committing 'war crimes and crimes against humanity'. In the U.S., a new chapter in former President Donald Trump's trial is approaching -- after the prosecution and defense have both rested their cases without having the former President take the stand. To discuss this & more, FOX News White House Correspondent Jacqui Heinrich, Democratic Pollster Carly Cooperman, and Republican Strategist Colin Reed join Bret for this week's All-Star Panel. Josh Hammer (1:05, 9:45) – Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi was killed in a helicopter crash. Could there have been any foul play involved? Also President Biden delivered the commencement address at Morehouse College that drew some protests from some students. Father Frank Pavone (18:59) - Pope Francis gave an extended interview with 60 Minutes where he discusses faith and those that cling to conservative views. Some in the religious community are pushing back on his comments. Abby Johnson (28:21) – Several pro-life protestors were arrested for violating the FACE Act but was the law appropriately applied? Also why is law enforcement acting this way towards these protestors but people at left-wing protests? Jon Root (36:20) – Harrison Butker's commencement speech is still generating buzz on both sides of the political aisle. Even though the Left is criticizing him multiple members of the Chiefs have come out in his support.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
It's Tuesday, May 21st, A.D. 2024. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Kevin Swanson Dept. of Justice targets pro-life protestors Peaceful civil disobedience in the United States has long been tolerated by the media and government officials -- until now. Last week, two pro-life activists were sentenced to years in prison, for chaining themselves to furniture inside of the Washington D.C. Surgi-Clinic where abortions are performed. The protest occurred on October 22, 2020. As The Worldview reported on May 16th, 30-year-old Laruen Handy received a sentence of 4 years and 9 months. And 69-year-old John Hinshaw was sentenced to 1 year and 9 months. Steve Crampton, the Thomas More Society Senior Counsel who is representing the pro-lifers in this case, talked to Fox News Digital. He said, “This is not the America I know. …The contrast here with the Pro-Palestine folks shutting down the colleges and even preventing graduation ceremonies, and blocking entire highways and interstates, in addition to the ongoing attacks, yet there are virtually no ongoing investigations. I think there's kind of a palpable sense of selective prosecution elements that can't be ignored here.” The Thomas More Society is appealing the case. Amos 3:6 asks, “If a trumpet is blown in a city, will not the people be afraid? If there is calamity in a city, will not the Lord have done it?” Iranian president killed in helicopter crash Iranian president Ebrahim Raisi and his foreign minister, along with seven other officials, were killed in a helicopter crash on Sunday. The crash occurred in northwestern Iran near the border of Turkey. Raisi was elected as President in 2021. He represented the more hardline Islamic Clergy Association. During Raisi's administration, Iran continued to build its nuclear weapons capacity and support Hamas militants in Gaza and Hezbollah in Lebanon. The devastated Iranian economy Iran's Gross Domestic Product per capita has suffered about the worst drop of any nation in the world — falling from $8,300 to $2,700 between 2012 and 2020. The country has only recovered slightly since then. Bidenomics is squeezing Americans The assessment is in. Since the 2020 elections, Americans have slipped in their economic position. The Wall Street Journal reports that household net worth in the U.S. has flatlined since Biden took office. That means no appreciable increase for the average household. That compares to a 16% rise in household net worth over the 4-year Trump administration, adjusted for inflation. U.S. household income dropped by 5% Also, the U.S. median household income continues to fall from $78,250 back in 2019 to $74,580 today. That's about a 5% cut in pay over five years. Argentinian president's great economic strides Forbes reports that Argentina's President Javier Milei is making giant strides with his economic policies in his first year in office. First quarter 2024 government finances revealed a budget surplus -- the first since 2008. Remarkably, Milei eliminated 70,000 government jobs in Argentina and suspended new public works contracts. Plus, the inflation rate is moving in a good direction — 8.8% last month, down from a whopping 25% in December. Where do most sexual perverts live? An international survey, published by Statistica, finds the highest percentage of people who associate with a sexually perverted lifestyle commonly referred to as LGBTQ are the United States, Israel, the Philippines, Thailand, Canada, Sweden, Brazil, and Australia. By contrast, South Korea and Romania claim the lowest percentage. Millennials vs. Baby Boomers on Electric Vehicles 22% of Millennials own an electric or hybrid car compared to only 4% of Baby Boomers, reports ZeroHedge.com. Electric Vehicle sales only make up a fraction of total car sales -- 1.4 million electric cars compared to roughly 14 million gas-powered light trucks and passenger cars. Pope Francis asserts that he doesn't allow blessings of homosexual unions The Roman Catholic Pope Francis was interviewed on CBS's 60 Minutes. He clarified that he would not allow a blessing of “homosexual unions” because “the Lord made [the sacrament] that way.” He said that blessing homosexual unions goes against the law of the church. However, Francis does advocate the blessing of the individual persons. Listen to the set up question by CBS' Norah O'Donnell as well as the Pope's response. O'DONNELL: “Last year, you decided to allow Catholic priests to bless same-sex couples. That's a big change. Why?” POPE FRANCIS: “No, what I allowed was not to bless the union. That cannot be done because that is not the sacrament. I cannot. The Lord made it that way. But to bless each person? Yes. The blessing is for everyone.” Recently, the Pope criticized national governments that criminalize homosexuality, stating that the behavior is not a crime while still it is a sin. Let us remember Proverbs 3:33. “The curse of the LORD is on the house of the wicked, but He blesses the home of the just.” Supreme Court vs. parental rights on kids' gender transitions And finally, the U.S. Supreme Court has taken a position against parental rights in schools that advocate gender transitions for children. Yesterday, the justices declined a Maryland school district case in which the school allowed for hiding information from parents about their own children's gender identity, especially from the parents deemed “unsupportive.” Close And that's The Worldview on this Tuesday, May 21st in the year of our Lord 2024. Both literally and figuratively, Democrats seem to be openly hostile and/or fretting over the prospects of a second Biden term. The Hill has just published a panicy piece about Biden's election prospects Stigall combs through as well as the faith community and some in the black community's reception to the Husk. Meanwhile, John Hayward of Breitbart joins us to talk about Trump's decision to debate on the Husk's terms and the helicopter crash that killed the Iranian President and Foreign Minister. The continued "fallout" of the non-controversial "controversy" of Harrison Butker's commencement address last week proves, in Stigall's mind, the spiritual battle lines are being drawn in profound ways. -For more info visit the official website: https://chrisstigall.comInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/chrisstigallshow/Twitter: https://twitter.com/ChrisStigallFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/chris.stigall/Listen on Spotify: https://tinyurl.com/StigallPodListen on Apple Podcasts: https://bit.ly/StigallShowSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
The Rich Zeoli Show- Hour 3: 5:05pm- After court concluded on Monday, former President Donald Trump told members of the press that the “hush money” trial is a disaster for the country and called on Judge Juan Merchan to dismiss the case immediately. 5:10pm- During cross-examination in the Donald Trump “hush money” trial, witness Michael Cohen conceded that he once stole $30,000 from his former employer, the Trump Organization. CNN senior legal analyst Elie Honig noted that larceny is “more serious of a crime than falsifying business records.” How could any member of the jury view Cohen as a credible witness? 5:20pm- Reporting from inside the courthouse, New York Times journalist Jonah Bromwich writes: “The judge says he will reserve his decision on whether to dismiss the case for tomorrow. We are done with another long day of court. The prosecution rested its case against Trump today, and the defense got through a significant portion of its own. If things go according to schedule, the defense will rest tomorrow, and the jury will be excused for the rest of the week, returning after the holiday weekend to hear closing arguments.” You can read more updates here: https://www.nytimes.com/live/2024/05/20/nyregion/trump-trial-hush-money?smid=url-share#ee4f4407-bdd5-55d9-b1cc-8b49e99df75a 5:40pm- Steven Bucci—Visiting Fellow at the Heritage Foundation's Phillip N. Truluck Center for Leadership Development—joins The Rich Zeoli Show to discuss news that Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi was killed in a helicopter crash on Sunday. Earlier today, Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin explicitly stated: “the United States had no part to play in that crash.” Bucci notes that Iran may try to blame America or Israel—though, it seems pretty clear this was the result of aged equipment and poor flying conditions. Could this death lead to revolution? Or will Ayatollah Ali Khamenei successfully stifle dissent? Bucci served America for three decades as an Army Special Forces officer and top Pentagon official.

//The Wire//2200Z May 20, 2024////PRIORITY////BLUF: IRANIAN PRESIDENT KILLED IN HELICOPTER CRASH. SAUDI KING HOSPITALIZED WITH INFECTION. SOUTH CAROLINA PORTS OFFLINE DUE TO CYBER ISSUE.// -----BEGIN TEARLINE------International Events-Iran: Yesterday a helicopter carrying the Iranian President (and other VIPs) crashed in the mountains just north of Tavil. According to Iranian state media, one of the survivors was able to make a distress call via satellite phone before contact was lost. Upon notification of the incident, a neighboring Turkish military drone was dispatched to conduct an aerial search of the extremely remote terrain just south of the Iran/Azerbaijan border. The Turkish drone identified a large heat signature IVO grid: 38SPH4703992367. Ground search crews later identified this location as the crash site. No survivors were found at the site, and Iranian state media has confirmed the deaths of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian, among others.Saudi Arabia: Saudi state media confirmed that King Salman has been hospitalized following a recent illness. AC: Though reports are contradictory, King Salman has possibly been hospitalized due to pneumonia and/or a more general respiratory infection. Due to contradicting reports, it's not clear as to if King Salman is currently hospitalized, or if he was merely examined at a hospital as an outpatient. Regardless, this is his second hospitalization in less than a month. As a reminder, King Salman handed over most royal duties to his son, Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman, a few years ago. However, King Salman still wields considerable status throughout the Middle East, in similar fashion to most aging monarchs that have provided an air of generational stability throughout the continent for decades. If King Salman's health is declining, this could signal a new era of instability as the world seeks to test the Crown Prince as he fully steps into the role of monarch.Slovakia: Various governmental ministers have indicated that Prime Minister Fico's situation is improving, and that the most serious risks to his life have been averted. However, it will take more time to determine his overall condition, due to the continuing severity of his wounds.Burkina Faso: Various anti-establishment media channels reported another attack on Captain Ibrahim Traoré's residence Saturday night. Multiple gunmen conducted small arms attacks at the main gate of the Presidential Palace in Ouagadougou. AC: It's not clear as to if this was a substantial attack, or a shoot-and-shoot style skirmish. This is at least the 6th attempt on Captain Ibrahim's life since seizing power two years ago.Red Sea/HOA: Over the weekend, Houthi forces successfully struck another oil tanker, the M/V WIND. Per CENTCOM's statements Saturday night, coalition vessels responded to the WIND's distress call as the WIND had lost steering and was taking on water. After a few hours, the crew was able to restore functionality and egress from the area under her own power.-HomeFront-South Carolina: A collection of ports have been shut down temporarily following undisclosed software issues. The South Carolina Port Authority originally stated this morning that cargo terminals would only be offline for a few hours, however the timeline for recovery has been pushed back multiple times today. AC: It is unclear as to if this software issue is affecting all South Carolina ports, or just the main North Charleston Terminal. In any case, cargo on and offloading has come to a halt while the issue is being mitigated.-----END TEARLINE-----Analyst Comments: Many technical details surrounding the Iranian helicopter crash do not fit within known Iranian military doctrine, or otherwise do not make sense. Based on the aerial imagery provided by Iranian media after search crews located the cras

US households are missing loan payments as if a recession is here. https://twitter.com/KobeissiLetter/status/1791822585593802857 Joe Biden's ‘Made in China' Inflation Reduction Act Gives Billions to China, Cuts Medicare, Kills American Jobs When Donald Trump released a video where he said, “Biden's pro-China economic program puts America last, and it's killing our country,” the mainstream media recruited his establishment apologists to fact check Trump and claim it isn‘t true that Biden is giving away the store to China's dictator Xi Jinping. Biden is giving away billions to China and killing American jobs. One of the worst instances of this is Biden's signature domestic “achievement,” the so-called Inflation Reduction Act (IRA). Not only has this done nothing to stop inflation, it's also proving to be a giveaway to the Chinese Communist Party. While China is building military bases on our doorstep, Joe Biden—instead of proving he's merely asleep at the wheel—has invited Xi Jinping inside and asked him to drive. even Democrats like Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) have come out swinging against their boss. Just this week, Manchin slammed the IRA's Clean Vehicle Credit, which was ostensibly intended to provide tax relief to American companies that manufacture car batteries and electric vehicles. The idea was that this would feed the electric auto industry and enable American independence from foreign energy. Instead, China is co-opting American companies and sucking billions in green scam tax credits. The IRA doesn't stop China's government-owned green energy industry from setting up pop-up shops in America to qualify for tax credits, while importing everything from China. So, they're stealing tax credits that could go to American companies. It's proving that the IRA had nothing to do with curbing inflation. Was it the Green New Deal in disguise—or maybe the Red New Deal? This is why Manchin this week said that the administration is effectively endorsing “Made in China.” And Biden's IRA is paying for all these giveaways to China by slashing Medicare for seniors. The IRA will sharply cut the popular Medicare drug-coverage plan; a total of $30 billion will be cut from a program currently totaled at $110 billion. This will kick in in 2025 — so it is either out of the way if Biden wins or can be blamed on Trump if Biden loses. Buried in the IRA is command and control language that Jo...
