Helen here folks, I know Kory normally starts off the episode notes with something sports related so uhhh…. I saw that the 2025 “City Connect” designs were unveiled recently, and the DC ones look pretty; I might need to buy one of the hats to add to my collection of “cherry blossom themed hats for DC sports teams” (especially since I lost my Caps hat in that vein last year, noooo). Now that that's out of the way, no Kory or Apryll this time but I am joined by Justin (@kami_nomi) of The OASG, who is my cohost on the other podcast I, uh, cohost, “It's Not My Fault The OASG Podcast Is Not Popular!” We're talking about the J-Novel Club (Heart imprint) release of Trials and Tribulations of My Next Life as a Noblewoman, which is a big and plot heavy series so we have both a spoiler-free section and then a spoiler-filled section about why the nickname “josei Game of Thrones” is VERY accurate for this series! As always, you can find me on bsky @nidokorn, and my co-hosts Helen (@WanderinDreamr) and Apryll (@manjiorin) on bsky at those places in the parenthesis. The Heart of Thomas on BL-genren perustuksiin kuuluva Moto Hagion draamaklassikko, jossa saksalaisen poikakoulun oppilailla on vaikeita tunteita toisiaan kohtaan. Ajankohtaisina aiheina puhumme siitä, miten Kodansha veti yllättäen simultaanijulkaisunsa pois kaikista mangapalveluista, englanninkielisen mangan fyysisistä bootleg-julkaisuista sekä siitä, miten Velhon morsiamen tekijä Kore Yamazaki on tulossa ensi kesän Desuconiin.
