Click to Subscribe: https://bit.ly/Youtube-Subscribe-SoapDirt General Hospital spoilers see Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) may soon be released from Pentonville, thanks to a package delivered to the PCPD. The package, potentially sent by a notorious villain, contained a crucial piece of evidence - a gun that could clear Alexis's name in the murder case of Kate Howard (Kelly Sullivan). Martin Gray (Michael E Knight), Alexis's lawyer, believes this could be the key to reopening the case and proving Alexis's innocence on the ABC soap opera. GH spoilers see Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) has come into possession of another potential game-changer: a Beretta nine-millimeter gun, previously owned by Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). If the gun's ballistics match the bullets found in Kate's body, it could prove that Alexis is not the murderer.  Spoilers for General Hospital leave a question remaining - who sent the gun, and why did they choose to remain anonymous? Was it to save Alexis or someone else? Speculations are rife, with names like Rick Lansing (Rick Hearst), Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober), and Jack Brennan (Charles Mesure) floating around. However, the most likely contender seems to be Valentine Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart), Alexis's cousin.   Visit our General Hospital section of Soap Dirt: https://soapdirt.com/category/general-hospital/ Listen to our Podcasts: https://soapdirt.podbean.com/ Check out our always up-to-date General Hospital Spoilers page at: https://soapdirt.com/general-hospital-spoilers/ Check Out our Social Media... Good news, America, World, and, of course, Portugal! Gia had to rush off to a gig, so she and Keisha really tried to stay focused and not waste time on pointless digressions. You've probably already figured out what the bad news is. Although it could have been much worse (some would say). They did manage to address, well, dresses. Mostly Natalia's, which they estimated was constructed from 47 or more bedsheets. And Anna's, which neither G nor K would look good in, and, though it did look good on Anna, may have come from the GH lost and found. Which also contains a deck of tarot cards (incomplete), and a Pikeman employee manual (which is actually blank inside). Keisha discussed some scenes which she believed contained Sparkle Pony moments, and Gia disagreed. Neither of them liked the track suit Lois was wearing. And now for the bad news. Gia found time to reiterate her belief that, when it comes to underwear, everyone should have a deep bench (e.g., underwear for weed whacking should come from further down the bench, whereas underwear for, say, breaking Brennan out of Pentonville should come from the starting lineup). It's possible the analogy wears a little thin (weed whacking underwear thin). But the real takeaway should be that, as important as underwear is, it isn't as important as General Hospital.  #mauricebenard  #kellythiebaud #rogerhowarth #maurawest #steveburton #delirious #tshirtgiveaway #barshampoo #daydrinkingwithsethmeyers #hillstreetblues #kinshriner #saveava #nicholaschavez #savediane #stonewallkitchen #hallandoates #superstore #freaksandgeeks #waitingonafriend #memyselfi #freefallin #alanarkin #whosgonnarideyourwildhorses #maneater #whippingpost #colonoscopy #takethenap #alleymills #billylibby #chickadee #fortgorgeous #robertgossett #daydrinkingwithsethandlizzo #marcuscoloma #useastaplegun #riptwitch #ripepiphany #ripsonyaeddy  #waywardchickadee #barshampoo #ripmiffy #lovedogs #justinebateman #brookeshields #neilgaiman #dnice #cq #deborahcox #malcolmjamalwarner #lume #godzillaminusone #ripjacklynzeman #jasonmomoa #adambelanoff #thecloser #majorcrimes #wings #murphybrown #thecosbyshow #pinkalicious #ripbillymiller #ripmatthewperry #riptylerchristopher #ripandrebraugher #ripjohnnywactor

Thank you for your patience (is what GH should have said). What a wedding...week. And yes, it was a lovely wedding. Lots of pretty dresses. Gia liked half of them, and Keisha liked the other half. And almost as romantic as Brook Lynn and Chase's wedding was Jason and Spinelli's reunion! Why did we have to wait so long? But the chemistry is still there! The real fireworks happened after the wedding, though, and Sonny may have lost the few friends and family he still had. Also, no good can come from hanging around the shower at Pentonville. Crisis What Crisis?

Crisis What Crisis?

In this episode I'm joined by former government minister, author, ordained prison chaplain and priest and, like me, a former inmate of Belmarsh prison - the Reverend Jonathan Aitken. Having survived and thrived over eight decades of triumph and crisis, Jonathan has a lifetime of stories to tell and wisdom to impart.  From spending childhood years battling TB to working as a reporter in Saigon; to being tipped as a future Prime Minister described as ‘not just gilded but golden' from pleading guilty and being sentenced for perjury, to finding faith and rebuilding his life's purpose as a priest - Jonathan has seen and been through it all.  Jonathan's most recent crisis almost claimed his life. But, throughout it all he has pushed on and pushed through with a sense of resilience – and an incredible rate of productivity - that is truly inspiring and from which I think we can all learn.  Thank you, Jonathan.  Links    Aitken is a trustee of the Saïd Foundation, McDonald Agape Foundation, and Trinity Forum Europe. Peter Sage is a well-known international serial entrepreneur, best-selling author, and expert in human behavior. He is a dynamic and sought-after public speaker and coach who has shared the stage with Sir Richard Branson and President Bill Clinton. In 2013, he was awarded the distinguished Brand Laureate Award from the Asian Pacific Brands Foundation for extraordinary individuals sharing that honor with previous winners, including Nelson Mandela, Steve Jobs, Keanu Reeves, and Nobel Peace Prize winner Muhammad Yunus. In 2015, he was named one of the greatest leaders and entrepreneurs, alongside Sir Richard Branson, Elon Musk, and Mark Zuckerberg, by inspiring leadership. In January 2017, Peter was held in contempt of court for a civil matter and served several months in Pentonville, widely recognized as one of the worst and most dangerous prisons in the UK. So, what happens when you put a non-criminal and one of the world's top experts in personal growth into one of the most violent prisons in the UK? You get a masterclass on how to turn adversity to your advantage. While in Pentonville, Peter wrote 11 private letters to his elite coaching students. After his release, these letters were published as “The Inside Track,” quickly becoming a best-selling book. Written in a conversational style, each one breaks down the tools, techniques, and insights he uses and shows how to face any problem in your life from a place of power, not force and turn your biggest challenges into your greatest achievements. And Peter walks this same walk as he turned his “adventure” in Pentonville, losing everything he had and coming out a quarter of a million dollars in debt into a thriving personal development company that has earned over 20 million in revenue since he got out and transformed thousands of people. In 2022 and again in 2023, Peter was named by Global Gurus as one of the top motivational speakers in the world. His mission is to raise global consciousness and change the lives of over 10 million people within the next 10 years. In this episode, which is the 7th of Danny Hurst´s Monopoly history series it is the turn of the most expensive light blue property on the board – Pentonville Road. Listen to learn why there is a lighthouse on the street, and its connection with Iggy Pop, Lenin, Trotsky, and the Hatton Garden robbers. He also compares the value of Pentonville Road in 1936, when the game was first sold, to today´s valuations. Including, the inflationary difference. KEY TAKEAWAYS The lighthouse building does have a lighthouse on the roof. It was lit when there were fresh oysters available. Weird…. Danny explains it all in the episode. Pentonville Road was once an industrial manufacturing centre. The jail which is next to the Pentonville Rd square on the board is not located on the street. According to Zoopla, Pentonville Rd is now the 3rd cheapest London Monopoly square from which to buy property. BEST MOMENTS ‘This was Britain´s first planned ring road. ´ ‘Most Londoners would raise their eyebrows and say "Where?" if you were to say you are from Barnsbury.' ‘Both men are hiding out in London and Lenin invites Trotsky to his home.' Mason's fate was confirmed by showrunner Frank Valentini in a tweet.  Despite Mason's exit, there is speculation that Nathanyael Grey's villainous character could return in the future. While it was nice to see half of Port Charles at Charlie's Pub, if these were the only people left on the planet, what would the future of humankind look like? If little Violet had to create a family tree for a homework assignment, would it look like a tree, or maybe more of a spider plant? Perhaps best not to delve too deeply into the who begat who side of things on a soap opera. And there are less disturbing scenes to focus on, like Carly and Sonny spending a romantic afternoon at Pentonville. Lovely. Amelia should probably be trained to sleep with one eye open. And let's not spend any more time in the showers at Pentonville, okay? Do we have to be uncomfortable all the time? The bird paintings (two thumbs up), Sam's top (two thumbs out because that's the kind of shirt a lady wears when she needs a ride fast), Trina's dress (two thumbs up, plus Gia got sort of dreamy when talking about this dress, so one of the thumbs was mildly uncomfortable), the hair of convicts (an important aspect of life at Pentonville; two thumbs down for Drew, needless to say), Austin's speech (two thumbs up for showing a little heart), and there was a lot of more important stuff to talk about, but Gia and Keisha got distracted by thoughts on Cool Whip, their own hair, and how to use the word asystole in a sentence (they still don't know).   #mauricebenard  #kellythiebaud #maurawest #delirious #tshirtgiveaway #barshampoo #daydrinkingwithsethmeyers #hillstreetblues #kinshriner #saveava #nicholaschavez #savediane #stonewallkitchen #hallandoates #superstore #freaksandgeeks #waitingonafriend #memyselfi #freefallin #alanarkin #whosgonnarideyourwildhorses #maneater #whippingpost #colonoscopy #takethenap #alleymills #billylibby #chickadee #fortgorgeous #robertgossett #daydrinkingwithsethandlizzo #marcuscoloma #useastaplegun #riptwitch #ripepiphany #ripsonyaeddy  #waywardchickadee #barshampoo #ripmiffy #lovedogs #justinebateman #brookeshields #neilgaiman #dnice #cq #deborahcox #malcolmjamalwarner #lume #ripjacklynzeman #jasonmomoa #adambelanoff #thecloser #majorcrimes #wings #murphybrown #thecosbyshow #pinkalicious

In this episode we're going to visit a small country in South America. I'm on my way from Buenos Aires in Argentina with a small group of nomad friends that I've gotten to know from the Nomad Cruise. We're going to be spending a few days in Montevideo and then the others are going back to Buenos Aires, but I'm staying a few days longer because I have an interesting appointment in the countryside. Something I'm also going to share with you here on the podcast.   FACTS ABOUT URUGUAY HOW BIG AND HOW MANY PEOPLE? Around 3.5 million people live in Uruguay. With 181,000 km2 (69,000 square miles) Uruguay is the second-smallest country, and the smallest Spanish speaking country in South America. Montevideo is the capital andwith 1.7 million people, the country's largest city.  WHERE IS IT? It shares borders with Argentina to the west and southwest and Brazil to the north and northeast. And then it's bordering the Atlantic Ocean to the southeast and the river we're crossing, Río de la Plata to the south. A MAINLY FLAT COUNTRY Much of the country consists of gently rolling land only a few hundred feet above sea level. Uruguay's highest point is Mount Cathedral at 514 meters (1,685 feet). RELIGION The majority of the population 58% of Uruguayans define themselves as Christian (47% Roman Catholic, 11% Protestant), and approximately 40% of the population says they have no religion. In the capital of Montevideo there's also a small community of Jews. Church and state are officially separated more than a hundred years, since 1916. Religious discrimination is punishable by law, and the government generally respects people's religious freedom. DEMOCRATIC AND TOLERANT Uruguay is a democracy and ranks high on global measures of personal rights, tolerance, and inclusion issues, including its acceptance of the LGBTQ community. Actually, being gay was legalized all the way backin 1934. The country has legalized cannabis, same-sex marriage, and abortion. EAT MORE BEEF THAN ANYONE We know that Argentineans love their beef, but Uruguay consume the most beef per person in the whole world. URUGUAY HAS THE LONGEST NATIONAL ANTHEM IN THE WORLD When Uruguay achieved their independence in 1828, they needed a national anthem. The poet Francisco Esteban Acuña de Figueroa offered to write one. The anthem originally had 11 verses but since many of them were rather rude about their previous colonizers Spain, Portugal and Brazil, only the chorus and first verse are now sung. But even so, it's almost five minutes long, making it the longest national anthem music in the world.  URUGUAY HOSTED THE 1ST WORLD CUP EVER Like many South American countries, football (what you call soccer in the USA) is the most popular sport in Uruguay. The first-ever World Cup tournament was hosted in Uruguay in 1930. This actually came about after football was dropped from the Olympics program – after Uruguay had won gold medals back-to-back in Paris in 1924 and Amsterdam in 1928. And they also won the first World Cup and won again in 1950 – which was especially a big deal as that time they beat the favorites Brazil in Brazil. URUGUAY'S ELECTRICITY COMES FROM RENEWABLE SOURCES One of the most amazing things about Uruguay is how eco-friendly it is, particularly when it comes to energy production. In 2020 it was estimated that between 98-100% of Uruguay's electricity was generated through renewable sources – wind and water (hydropower) and a bit of solar and biomass energy. What's even more impressive is that it took less than 10 years for Uruguay to get to this point, and costs are lower. I hope more countries in the world can take pointers from Uruguay. THE FLAG Their national flag consisting of five white and four blue horizontal stripes and in the upper left corner on white background there is a sun with a face – “The Sun of May.” The Sun is a national emblem for Uruguay – andalso the national emblem of Argentina, and they also have it in their flag. This sun symbolizes a god that was worshipped by the Inca Empire – the Incan sun god Inti.     FREE WALKING TOUR OF THE OLD MONTEVIDEO We joined a ”Free Walking Tour” through “Ciudad Vieja”. On our 2.30 hours walk through the Old City of the capital Montevideo, our tour guide Rodrigo shared a lot about Montevideo´s culture, society, and history. The original fortifications are gone here in Ciudad Vieja, but there are churches and mansions dating back to the 18th century surrounded by narrow cobbled streets. After having been neglected for decades, dozens of buildings have been restored and now they house smart cafes, hotels, hostels, restaurants, and boutiques. Other buildings are still crying out for some tender loving care. We start the tour at Plaza Independencia, where there's also a big palace: Palacio Salvo. Rising 105 metres, it's the most eye-catching sight on Montevideo's largest square, and when it was unveiled in 1928, this “skyscraper” was the tallest building in South America. And you can actually rent an apartment. Wouldn't that be cool? At the plaza's core, there is a statue of Uruguayan independence hero, Jose Artigas. He is considered a national hero in Uruguay, sometimes referred to as "the father of Uruguayan nationhood". His mausoleum below street level. A LOOK IN THE HISTORY BOOK As Rodrigo is talking about history here at the Independence Square, let's have a look in the history book… Uruguay had long been inhabited by indigenous people who would hunt, gather, and fish. Europeans discovered the country in 1516, and it was settled by the Portuguese in 1680. But in 1726, the Spanish took control and founded Montevideo and only a few indigenous people remained. The Uruguayans fought to resist complete takeover from Argentina and Brazil – and in 1828, a treaty proclaimed Uruguay as a separate state and buffer between the two countries. Two years later in 1830 they got their first constitution. They had a civil war from the mid-1800s to until stability was finally achieved in 1905 when one of the sides (the Colorado's) were elected to power. Uruguay suffered the effects of the Great Depression but had an economic boom during World War II and the Korean War. They were able to sell wool, meat, and other animal products to European countries and the U.S. But the end of the wars brought a slump for the Uruguayan economy and political instability that lasted into the late 1900s. New leadership would eventually bring about economic growth and more job opportunities that continue through present day. URUGUAY: THE NEXT BIG THING? East of Plaza Independencia, you'll find the busy Avenida 18 de Julio shopping strip. And that's where we're going for lunch and a cool beer after the tour with Rodrigo. Montevideo is not something that is high on many people's bucket list. But things are changing – and I can see why. The city is emerging as one of the continent's coolest capitals, famous for its architecture, old quarters and thriving cultural scene. It's only a short 45-minute flight from Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina. But you should consider doing like we did – riding the ferry across the Rio de la Plata. Most of Montevideo's residents are descendants of Spanish and Italian immigrants, giving the city a strong European feel.  If you get there and have time for it, you should also take a walk on La Rambla, Montevideo's 22-kilometre waterfront esplanade. We were only there for a few minutes because we went to prison. THE WEATHER In Uruguay, the climate is subtropical, with mild winters (from June to August) and hot summers (from December to March). It's also quite rainy throughout the year. In most of the country, the average temperatures are similar to those of the coasts of the Mediterranean Sea in Europe. But here, even the summer is rainy, but don't worry, this doesn't reduce the sunshine hours much as it mostly happens because of thunderstorms. The best time of year to visit Montevideo (if you like warm weather) is from early November to early April. MODERN ART IN AN OLD PRISON The Museum is called “Espacio De Arte Contemporaneo” – in English “Contemporary Art Space”. It's in a part of what was the Miguelete prison building from 1889 to 1986. There's a ton of history in this building. It was modeled after an English prison in Pentonville, England built in 1840. The building itself is absolutely also worth the visit. It's an easy walk from the old town of Montevideo – Ciudad Vieja. You find exhibition of all expressions of modern art – some of it so modern, I had a hard time to understand. I enjoy abstract art – I don't have to see what it is. But some it was on another level and in my opinion just plain weird. And it might seem like I'm contradicting myself but the weird one of the reasons why I like going to see exhibitions like this. To push myself to see something new even though I don't really understand what I see. It makes me think. I HEARD IT THROUGH THE GRAPE WINE Argentina has Malbec. Uruguay has Tannat. It's dry, bold red wine, made from grapes brought to Uruguay by a Basque in the late 19th century and the Tannat wine accounts for a third of the country's wine exports. You find it in many wineries in Uruguay and also here at Pizzorno where I'm meeting Lucio – a young winemaker in his mid-20's. Three years before my visit to the winery Lucio got a call from Francisco – the fourth generation in the family-owned winery. My name is Palle Bo, and I gotta keep moving. See you.     CORRECTION Before we wrap up this episode, I'd like to say something about the episode I did from the Maasai Village in Kenya. Because I might have said something wrong in that episode. I received an email from, Esther Ngunjiri: “Hi, I've read your story on the maasai and I can say you got most of it right but not all maasai are as primitive as you put it. Most maasai bury their dead in graves and have permanent residences, though the young men move their cattle from place to place for pasture. Another thing you got all wrong is the 40-something lifespan. That's a pure lie. I live in Kenya and I can assure you they live up to old age, rarely do you find maasai's in hospitals cos they make their own medicine from herbs, honey and sometimes raw animal blood. They live up to old age of 80 or even more. So, what the young guy told you was very true, the kind of concoctions they make boosts their immunity so much that they rarely fall sick. There were times, not sure if they still do, they used to pierce a bull neck drain a bit of blood mix it with milk and drink it raw. Esther.” Thank you, Esther to set me straight. I always try to do my research as good as I can, but sometimes I'm wrong. In my research, I googled “Life expectancy Maasai” and found several different blogs and websites saying more or less the same. That the average male lives to the age of 42, whilst the women live until the age of just 44. After I got your email, I looked more into it, and I still haven't been able to find anywhere where it says, “80 or even more”. I'd like to know where you have those numbers, but you seem like you know something I don't know. Anyway, I apologize if I said something wrong. And for all of you listening… please remember that I'm not a journalist or a “truth witness” on anything. I do my best but I'm not always right.

Imagine going to court on a civil matter and then finding yourself being sentenced to prison - for contempt of court. Motivational Speaker, Tedx Speaker and best-selling author, Peter Sage, thought he'd be back in time to finish his workday when he went to court in January of 2017, but instead, he was sent to Pentonville, the UK's most violent prison. So what would you do if you were wrongfully imprisoned and had to say goodbye to your fiancee, your life, and the money you'd just invested in a major business event? Would you fight for freedom, using every resource at your disposal? Or would you become a secret agent of change and show others how they too, could conquer adversity? Jordan, after more hand wringing and call places to someone (most likely a still alive Taggert), goes forward with the plan Jason and Sonny suggested and meets with Internal Affairs to say that her team set up Cyrus to get arrested. Laura has a hard time buying this and asks Mac to look into what is really going on. Meanwhile, Laura sends Kevin to Pentonville to meet with Cyrus in the hopes that they can confine him to Shadybrooke instead of releasing him. Robert learns of this plan and says it won’t work. Laura is open to other ideas that will keep Cyrus off the streets until PCPD can find charges against Cyrus that will stick. Molly goes to Jordan’s place trying to find out where TJ is. Not wanting to tell her what is really happening, Jordan goes in on Molly and makes her feel that TJ is gone because of her so she won’t keep looking for him. Trina goes to meet her mom at the hospital and finds Curtis and Jordan there. They tell Trina what they just told her mom about Taggert faking evidence against Cyrus. Trina loses it and goes to talk to Ava. Ava tells her that the only person Taggert would have cared what they thought is her and if she loves Taggert then that’s all that matters. Britt and Julian continue to hook up. Julian tells her that Alexis was involved briefly with Neil. Britt finally remembers where she saw him before - in New York at the hotel watching Neil and Alexis kiss in the hall before going into Alexis’ room. Julian is furious and feels that Neil manipulates Alexis. He heads to GH and angrily confronts Neil in front of Alexis and GH staff and says he knows that slay together in New York. Alexis is deeply hurt and angry at Julian and tells him to leave. Britt also tells him that because of the way he acted their fun time is over as well. Mike is having a hard time walking and doesn’t want to get in a wheelchair at GH. Sonny talks with Mike and convinces him to take a walk around the hospital. They run into Carly and Brando. Mike thinks Brando is dead. Brando explains that he’s not and Mike calms down but quickly asks Sonny to leave and later Tel’s hi that he doesn’t believe Brando or Carly. The only thing Mike wants to do now is go home. Elizabeth finds Nelle on the GH roof covered in a tarp. Nelle has to stay on the room all night because Carly locked her up there and forged her signature on the medical authorization form allowing Wiley’s surgery. Elizabeth takes Nelle downstairs where she finds Michael, Bobbie, Carly, Sasha, Willow and Chase waiting to hear about Wiley’s surgery. Nelle demands that they get the authorization form to prove that her signature was forged. Bobbie tells her it was lost. Monica comes out and says the surgery went well but that the damage to Wiley’s heart was more severe than they thought and he’ll need another surgery in 6 months. Nelle tells Monica that she will need her written and verbal approval next time. Michael realizes that he needs to do whatever is necessary to get full custody of Wiley. Michael brings Wiley to GH with a shortness of breath. Monica tells him that the heart defect he has, like Michael did as a baby, hasn’t corrected itself and elective surgery is needed. Because it is elective both parents must sign which means Michael has to get Nelle to agree. Nelle arrives and refuses to sign the release because she thinks there may be another option. Carly comes to the hospital and tells Michael she will take care of it. Finding Nelle on the roof of GH, Carly tries to convince her to do the right thing and sign the release. Nelle refuses to let Carly be the winner and doesn’t sign the release. Carly locks the door to the roof stranding Nelle while she plans to take matters into her own hands. Laura stops by Sonny’s house to see if she can get Sonny to help stop Cyrus. Without giving any specifics, he lets her know that he is working on a solution. Sonny and Jason realize that Jordan was the person inside the PCPD who helped Cyrus’s drug shipment get through. They go to talk to her because they realize that Cyrus must have TJ. Jordan tells them and Curtis that that is the case and TJ isn’t being released until Jordan frees Cyrus from Pentonville. That means Jordan must come clean about framing Cyrus meaning that she would go to prison while Cyrus goes free. Sonny and Jason tell Jordan to honor the deaths of her teammates and use that to pin the framing of Cyrus on them. That way she can remain free to take down Cyrus. Jordan doesn’t want to sully the reputations of her dead friends but it’s their best chance to take down Cyrus. Nina hires Nelle as an assistant and Crimson. Carly overhears and goes off on Nina until Nina explains that she can now use this to keep and eye Nelle and testify against her at the custody hearing. Brook Lynn is fired from ELQ for the social media mistake she made. She tries to convince Ned, Olivia and Michael that this is all Lulu’s fault but it falls on deaf ears. Brook Lynn calls her manager and says she will now sell her shares in exchange for getting her music contract. Britt runs into Neal at GH and says he looks familiar. Spinelli tries to spy on Sam’s parole officer and is caught. Alexis gets get him out of trouble but Sam still has to deal with her. Sam lays into Alexis for failing her. Do you rely on something or someone else in order to get what you need to move forward or are you able to create that? That's the essence of an entrepreneur whether they're a parent, mother, or a business owner." - Peter Sage "Depending on where your progress is at, the word, "surrender" will come into play at different levels of meaning. If you're in a lower vibrational aspect or state of consciousness, you're going to hear the word, "surrender" from a place of acquiesce or giving up and being dominated.  If you're coming from a place of power and you're swimming with the river of life rather than against it, then you can come from a place of surrendering in which you're allowing for yourself to be taken from something that's greater than you because you're putting your trust in the universe or whatever you believe in." - Peter Sage "The biggest challenge with money when it comes to the frustration and feeling wounded by it can be narrowed down to one false belief that our net worth is tied to our self-worth because the greatest fear we have as human beings is that we're not enough. Money is nothing more than a way that we perceive value. This isn't the first timewe've crossed paths with Peter Sage, a world-renowned speaker, serial entrepreneur, author, and mentor... But to say that a lothas changed since our first meeting would probably win us a medal at the understatement olympics. Since we saw him last, Peter's life was turned upside-town when he became the only civil prisoner in one of Britain's toughest and most violent prisons. Going up against Princess Diana's former lawyers, Peter landed behind bars for contempt of court during a dispute with HP. In the months that followed, Peter had to learn some hard lessons about egotism, over-reaching, and that the justice system isn't about justice – it's about power. After the dust had settled on the verdict, Peter knew he had to make this period of incarceration mean something, so he went into Pentonville prison a self-consciously free man. As he puts it, Prisons [...] take away liberty, but freedom is a state of mind – Peter Sage He saw himself as an undercover agent for positive change. But what change could he make in a place where 3 murders in a single week is business as usual? How can you stay safe and sane in such an environment, and what do you learn about yourself in the process? Peter shares his prison stories and takes us deep into a world of super-charged social dynamics. Friends, foes, factions and fear: all familiar ingredients to us, but we find them at their most tense and extreme in the prison environment. In a place like Pentonville, showing or even feelingfear can be dangerous – not just because other people can sense it, but because: When fear rises, intelligence plummets – Peter Sage This takes us right back to our series on The 50th Law, which was all about adopting and embodying the Fearless Approach to life – to embracing that which scares us and walking with eyes and mind wide open into the uncomfortable places where change and growth can happen. On the other hand, you can choose the path of fear, resentment and egotism. For the first time, Peter opens up about what happened between him and Brian Rose of London Real. His appearances on that show were two of its biggest hits, making a positive impact on thousands of people, but as the prison gates swung shut behind Peter, several erstwhile friends also slammed the door in his face. Peter sets the record straight about London Real and the way his interviews have been pulled down, likening it to the actions of 'an authoritarian dictatorship'. His time inside has also produced the first Peter Sage book: The Inside Track, a reflective prison diary, which you can check out through the link below. It was great to have Peter back in the studio and to dig deep into the world of crime and punishment, egotism and insight, and to try and find a balance between ambition and a healthy sense of our own limitations. Chris Karamyar is the founder and host of Rise of Humanity podcast.  Rise of Humanity is the training ground for spiritual warriors that have been called upon to make powerful change in the world.  I recently discovered Chris's podcast, and I have really enjoyed listening to his engaging style and the amazing guests he's invited to be on his show.  You'll find a link below in the resources section to listen to his podcast.  I recommend that you listen to his interview with Peter Sage.  It's fantastic.  During the interview Peter shares his experiences in Pentonville, one of England's toughest prisons.  It's a fascinating tale of mastering one's emotions and maintaining a positive mindset in a very negatively charged environment. Show Notes Chris never really felt settled and had a feeling there was more out there for him to do in the world He worked a lot of different jobs before finding his path. After breaking through his fear, he launched Rise of Humanity. Initially resisting this journey, he eventually took the leap. At around age 24 he started seeking answers to why we're really here. He also discovered a passion for personal development and self-improvement. He eventually realized that the only way humanity can move forward is to tap into spiritual awareness. Chris believes that spirituality is just “what is", and not something we need to strive for. He now believes that in order to reach higher levels of fulfillment, we have to tap into the spiritual side of ourselves. He feels it's important not to resist the human experience. A pivotal point in his journey came when he booked a six month trip to south America. The idea of personal responsibility has had a profound effect on him, and this idea changed his mindset.  He shifted from a victim mindset to an empowered one. Chris also dances and makes music, and at one point wanted to build a career around his talent. A goal setting practice Chris engages in a few times a month, is to asks himself the following question: “What goal can I set that will facilitate the most growth in me?” It's important to get into a state of detachment and clarity before doing the above goal setting exercise. His bigger goal is raising spiritual awareness. He plans to incorporate coaching into his business in the future. Important quotes from the interview: “I had this feeling that there was more out there for me.” “I recognized that I was stuck in this pattern of coming up to that opportunity and then stepping back through fear.” Connect with Chris: Listen to Rise of Humanity on iTunes Listen to Rise of Humanity on Shout Engine Connect on Instagram Connect on Youtube Chris recently interviewed Peter Sage, a world renowned entrepreneur, author, and philosopher.  Peter shares a lot of high-level ideas for living an extraordinary life, and mastering the human experience. Spanish exports reached a historic high in the first nine months of 2016, growing year-on-year in terms of revenue by 1.2%. Hugh Cornwell was one of the major figures in early British punk rock. He was the lead singer, guitarist and songwriter in The Stranglers, the hugely influential band who scaled the charts with hits like No More Heroes, Peaches, and Always The Sun, and always marched to the beat of their own drum. Hugh smuggled Leon Trotsky into the charts and more covertly heroin – the real subject of their 1981 hit single Golden Brown. But he left the band 25 years ago to concentrate on his own recordings – earlier this month he released The Fall And Rise Of Hugh Cornwell, the first anthology of his post-Stranglers career, and he’s just begun a major acoustic tour of the UK. Here Hugh talks about his formative years in Kentish Town, North London, the band he formed with schoolmate Richard Thompson (later of Fairport Convention fame), and why he decided to go solo. Along the way he discusses the drug bust that saw him do time in Pentonville prison, biochemistry, his novels and his journey from entertaining gobbing yobs at those dangerously thrilling early punk gigs to literary snobs at the more refined Hay-on-Wye literary festival. From his childhood acquaintance with London, when he feared he might become 'a little robber or a little vagabond', Charles Dickens was fascinated by crime. His novels all include criminal activity of some kind as he investigates criminal psychology and the causes of crime. Dickens lived through a period of considerable development in society's treatment of criminals: the foundation of the Metropolitan Police in 1829, the Detective Force in 1842, the same year as the New Model Prison opened at Pentonville; the ending of transportation and of public executions; the word 'penology' was first used in 1838, the year he began to publish Nicholas Nickleby. Dickens engages with these issues very fully, both in his fiction and in his journalism, as this talk will explore. This is the first lecture as part of the "Literary London Crime" Mondays at One series.

On today’s super-sized Daytime Confidential episode Luke, Jamey, Jillian and Regan react to Disney’s shocking decision to axe SOAPnet in favor of Disney Jr. What does this mean for the three ABC soaps and specifically One Life to Live? How will it impact Days of our Lives and The Young and the Restless now that a revenue stream is drying up? Jamey reveals what multiple industry insiders are telling him about the true state of soaps and how much time the genre really has. The DC gang then dives into all the 2010 Daytime Emmy Nominations and react to some of the–dare we say it–“shocking” omissions. Find out which actors they think did and didn’t deserve to be nominated and listen as they discuss the Outstanding Drama nominations. Then it is off to General Hospital’s Pentonville to discuss whether or not Michael (Chad Duell) was actually raped and where this controversial storyline is headed. With the Sopranos off the air it seems Guza must be rewatching the entire series of Oz, but does he know his audience? ABC told One Life to Live fans that the reason Kish was scrapped was because it didn’t appeal to Middle America. Does Guza think that prison rape does? Finally, Jamey has the latest on David Hasselhoff’s return to The Young and the Restless as Snapper and drops a juicy spoiler about how it will impact Jill (Jess Walton). Can you guess which Genoa City resident she’s related to? Find out in this episode of Daytime Confidential. Please listen how the story finished, as I mentioned at some point I didn??t have time to prepare myself, one day I was in, the next it was over. Did it change my life? Yes, I think so. It wasn??t as scary as I imagined but it was tough. I am happy to be out, I am happy to say good morning everyday to Marilo and Kalo, I appreciate my freedom as never and most important of all, I am a happier person.

You know, I think as soon as you are there, inside, in a cell, something inside "clicks" and some sort of process occurs inside which makes you capable to face the facts. Don??t get me wrong, it??s not easy whatsoever, but you can get good things out of it. I was lucky; I had a wonderful woman out there, Marilo and Kalo ?? my son - made things easier for me. I was about to start a journey that changed my way of relating with my family and my world. Listen how a life in prison is!

That was it, there was no way I could avoid things. I managed to call Ade who works with me and I told him about the meeting with Steve Rushton, I could talk with Marilo (my partner). I was suppose to go to court on monday and it was friday, things didn??t seem very well for me, a whole summer weekend spent in the cell of a police station. But things didn??t happen that way and on saturday I was produced at court and sent to Pentonville. You know we normally think ??There is no way I can go away from what I??m doing otherwise everything is going to collapse?? but things are not that way, it??s a trap of your mind, of my mind! Saturday was my first day ever inside a prison. Listen to the transition from one place to another, and another, and another...

The explosion was horrible, 10 police officers broke into our little flat!! Kalo, my son was very scared although he was at the time only 4 months. When we were on our way down, everyone was already outside the place. I couldn??t tell how many police officers were there, maybe 50 of them? As I mentioned at some point I had to live for 3 years with the burden of an unsettled issue with the law on my back; I knew that at some point I would have to face it, but when you are in front of it, that is a different story. The feeling of the handcuffs on my wrists and the sound they do as the officer locked them is something that keeps repeating in my mind, things happened fast, very fast and I was expecting the worst...

This is a story I never thought I would tell, but I am about to do it. It??s my own story and when I say my own I mean myself and my family, I mean Julia and Thierry, I mean Selena, Jo and Paul and every single person who in a way shared those 4 and a half months with me behind those walls. You might think this was a negative experience, but let me tell you something, it was my redemption, a healing experience now grounded in my heart and in the heart of those who shared it with me. This all happened between June and October 2006, the way it started and finished was quite unexpected as you will see. All comments, questions and suggestions are welcome, I don??t know yet if someone will read and listen this. Let??s see what happens...
