Sometimes, it's hard for me to describe to potential clients what exactly I do. Mindshifting is about having a safe space to learn more about yourself and to take action from a more informed and aligned place. It's not a 3-step formula or a fancy blueprint. It's a lengthy process where sometimes you hate me but most often, deeply grateful for having me in your corner. One of my clients Rob Napoli joins me to show you a bit of that process behind the scenes. Having worked together for over a year now, I have seen huge progress in Rob's life, mind, business, and personal relationships. To do sales is to help people, but you don't necessarily need to be the hero who saves everyone. Instead, you need to be the guide that helps people find the appropriate solution for their problems. In this episode of the No BS Sales School podcast, our host Walker McKay continues his conversation with Rob Napoli about listening to the customer carefully, whether you're selling a product to solve a customer's pain or as a founder trying to grow their business. HIGHLIGHTSNever stop listening to your customers You have to know when to stop and listenNot every deal is gonna closeBe a guide, not a heroEverything is hard when you're a founderQUOTESRob on why founders need to keep in touch with their customers all the time: "You have to always be listening to your customers. Once you find that, and you stop listening, you start iterating all these things, you can iterate away from the customers which I see happen all the time. You need to stay and have one ear to the ground with your customers and understand the market because it changes so fast." Rob on why you should avoid being the hero: "Just by definition, being a hero makes it all about you. It's the same thing when we talk about allyship. You want to be the ally, someone who helps, not the hero."Walker on letting your customer talk: "Be sincerely curious. Instead of saying, 'here your problem, here's how I'm gonna fix it,' ask them. Don't assume you know."Where to find Rob and other resources:LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/robnap/The Bear Necessities of Entrepreneurship (Podcast): https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-bear-necessities-of-entrepreneurship/id1569103336Book: https://www.amazon.com/Social-Soul-Professional-Intentionality-Authenticity/dp/1513690299Where to find Walker:LinkedInTwitterInstagramFree training coursewww.walkermckay.com

If there was only one sales advice that you could take with you, let it be this: don't make it about you. In this episode of the No BS Sales Podcast, Walker talks to entrepreneur, podcaster, and author Rob Napoli about forming healthy business relationships, practicing the giver mindset, and putting your client first. Whether you're a seller trying to meet quota or a new entrepreneur learning the ropes, it's best to let the other person do most of the talking. Just remember: in sales, it's never about you. HIGHLIGHTSFriendships vs Healthy Business RelationshipsHow to balance the business and personal side of relationshipsBe more of a giver instead of a taker In sales, it's never about youThe challenge of being an entrepreneurAlways be validating your ideaQUOTESWalker on making friends vs healthy business relationships: "The same people that say 'I want to make friends with my prospects' would say with the other side of their mouth, 'you can't do business with friends.' What they're really saying is: 'I don't want to have to sell anybody anything, I want them to just to come to me and buy it.'"Rob recalling his time as a younger seller: "I've always been a good networker. But there was a time when I was a taker versus when I became a giver. That giver mentality, that is making it about them, always. Because I used to bring it back to me."Rob on the challenges that new founders face: "Founders have a lot of pressure as an entrepreneur learning the business. If you're not a native seller, if you're trying to sell in a new market that's not your native language, all these challenges, it's really easy to do the exact thing you're talking about not to do, which is making it about me. Like, practice this, I can save you time. I can save you money. I can do this."Where to find Rob and other resources:LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/robnap/The Bear Necessities of Entrepreneurship (Podcast): https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-bear-necessities-of-entrepreneurship/id1569103336Book: https://www.amazon.com/Social-Soul-Professional-Intentionality-Authenticity/dp/1513690299Where to find Walker:LinkedInTwitterInstagramFree training coursewww.walkermckay.com

It is very important that a founder knows how to sell his product. If you are a founder, how would you sell your business to an investor if you can't even sell your product? And this is the focus of my talk today with 3-time exiting founder, Carol Malakasis, who had a successful sales run back in the day and is now a coach for many founders who aim to achieve the same success. Until there is some sort of positive, predictable response in the market.”Carol: “It boils down to them being coachable. And it boils down to them being curious. And it boils down to them really trusting the process and following the process.”Carol: “I don't believe in not being a great salesperson in the sense that sales can be taught. And I know that from myself because when I started selling my own product, I was doing outside sales.”Carol: “You need a structured way of explaining what you do. You need to be able to control a conversation, you need to be able to ask your prospects or investors the right questions.”Carol: “My business superpower is how curious I am. I question everything. HIGHLIGHTSMatt's definition of entrepreneurshipJourney to entrepreneurshipExperiencing failureWorking a nonlinear career pathBirth of LFT MediaQUOTESMatt: “Whatever the things I thought being pissed off about, I instead felt right at home, and this sounds so silly, as a failed entrepreneur.”Matt: “I wasn't a FinTech entrepreneur, but to other entrepreneurs, specifically, FinTech entrepreneurs, which was important, it was a recognition that institutions have something to learn, and a recognition to entrepreneurs that they have something to teach, and something to learn.”Matt: “If you are not a jerk, you will find that you can create commonality, discover commonality in a group of people, even if you don't find agreement.”Rob: “That's why I think it's so important. This is just a bunch of functions that we've coded as a group for specific tasks. But along the line, we've sort of started just thinking a bit further.”Simon: “When you move from having a prototype, into actually turning it into a business, just having the product isn't enough. You still have so much work to do.”Rob: “Most times we shouldn't be looking for validation, we should be looking for opposition, right? Because it's within those opposition when people disagree or have opposition to it. It means they're asking questions.”Simon: “I want everyone involved in customer relationships as well. I mean, we have a lot of talent in the company. So it just makes sense that I want them to be visible in that.”Rob: “You have to be adaptable, and you have to listen to the market and be okay with making changes and taking some big risks.”Simon: “The name Hero Imaging hints at the fact that there's a lot of heroes out there working with science.”Simon: “I am usually very good at systematic thinking. HIGHLIGHTSJake's sales journey and leap from employment to entrepreneurshipThe Challenges in the Earlier Days of SkaledHow Jake is scaling a global businessWhy Jake is hiring global talentWhat leadership is for Jake DunlapJake's SuperpowerQUOTESRob: “What I really love is hearing about people's entrepreneurial journeys, because entrepreneurship is a mindset. It's a profession, it's all these things, and it's something different to everybody.”Jake: “Have a vision, have a clear direction for your people, don't treat your people like capacity meters that need to be filled up, even if it means that you don't feel like they're gonna be full time on something, don't try to overwhelm them.”Jake: “Just so everyone out there knows it is better to be a manager and like to help people and get in the work and get in the weeds, then to be that leader that says, Well, I just kind of let them do their thing. That is called lazy, that is not the definition of leadership.”Jake: “Talent is everywhere, like, you know, and in today's world with, you know, we're almost 100% virtual, most many companies still are. If you don't learn how to hire globally, you're just missing out.”Jake: “I am a really amazing root problem solver. And I think it's from years and years and years and years and years and 10s of 10s of 1000s of hours of training as a salesperson, my superpower is to get to the root of what the actual issues are, and and separate the noise and then build a very functional plan forward.”Connect with Jake through the links belowLinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/jakedunlap/The Jake Dunlap Show: www.jakedunlapshow.comPersonal Site: Home | Jake DunlapYouTube: Jake DunlapTwitter: JakeTDunlapInstagram: http://instagram.com/jake_dunlapFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/JakeTDunlap/Don't forget to subscribe and leave a review.Connect with Rob:www.beacons.page/robnapoliwww.linkedin.com/in/robnapIG: @robnapoli.riseupSpecial offer for #BearNation listeners who are interested in trying Brilliantly Warm, use this 10% off discount code WELCOME10.We have teamed up with Phin, a social impact marketing firm, to give back for each episode. HIGHLIGHTSStarting up with ParkuppFrom Parkupp to TroobChallenges in starting TroobPalesa's goals for TroobPalesa's journey in New YorkPalesa's advice to entrepreneursQUOTESPalesa: “Sometimes you build something and you don't always know how it's gonna work out. You could have like, your end goal, that this is how I wanted to be or whatever the case may be, but it's important to be flexible, because along the way, you know, things change. Your interests have changed as well. Yeah. So you can't really be married to the original idea. So it's very important to be flexible.”Palesa: “It doesn't have to be like endless or unlimited, or whatever they can be, sometimes you can just build something, and that was your purpose, and then the next person comes in and takes it to wherever it needs to go. And as an entrepreneur, you need to understand that.”Rob: “You need to engage first with the people that you want to talk to, so that they can engage back with you and become that ability to see what you're building.”Rob: “Building a network and having access to a network takes time. Because if everyone just opened up their network, they get taken advantage of. So you have to prove why you're worthy. What you can do in exchange for value.”Rob: “In an age of everyone having strong opinions, finding commonality is a great way to build rapport.”Palesa: “My advice is to have no final form. I don't believe that when you arrive at a destination, you get to a point where you've done everything. It's just about continuously learning, seeking out new experiences and exploring.”Connect with Palesa through the links belowLinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/palesa-moloi-39604b146/Website: http://www.troob.spaces/Instagram: @troob.spacesTwitter: @troob.spacesDon't forget to subscribe and leave a review.Connect with Rob:www.beacons.page/robnapoliwww.linkedin.com/in/robnapIG: @robnapoli.riseupSpecial offer for #BearNation listeners who are interested in trying Brilliantly Warm, use this 10% off discount code WELCOME10.We have teamed up with Phin, a social impact marketing firm, to give back for each episode. HIGHLIGHTSGiving birth to TEDxBayonneThe Process of organizing TEDxBayonneWhy Launch a TEDx chapter in BayonneSurprising experiences in organizing TEDxBayonneHow “re.think” came to beImpact of re.think at TEDxBayonneWhat's next for TEDxBayonneQUOTESMaxim: “Carissa was talking about how we're an agency, she was thinking of going to New York and Jersey City to have bigger clients because those markets are obviously bigger. And then she said, ``You know what, but I decided not to because I want to go. I want to give back to Bayonne, this is what I want to have this social mission.”Maxim: “Bayonne is as close to New York as Brooklyn is as Brighton beaches. And it's not that's not far at all. It's very close to New York City. And New York City is the hub, the world hub for everything. So, but unfortunately, it only gets the scraps of that it gets the scraps of you know, Manhattan, Brooklyn, Georgia city, and to us by really TEDx beyond is the kind of movements bringing back to setting an example of what education can be, you know, as a movement that starts moving towards a more modern direction, because beyond a lot of people say this, and unfortunately, it's true. It is kind of stuck in the past.”Maxim: “And you know, they say Oh, my God, you're embarking on your project, you're going to meet a lot of resistance, a lot of roadblocks. In my mind, there had been roadblocks, but we just were so connected to the idea of doing it like the option of not to do it to give up things like that. They were not even on our periphery, you know, yeah, giving up, what's that?”Maxim: “TEDxBayonne is really to set an example of what education can be, set an example of what can be an inspiration for people and kind of bring a new perspective, a fresher perspective to the city because the city is sort of stuck in the past.”Carissa: “All you need is you know, what TED is looking for? What we look for in all of our applications is the one idea worth sharing. You don't need to have 100 million followers on Instagram. You don't need to be a PhD from Harvard, as long as your idea is novel, unique, and impacts others People, you're more than qualified to give a TED talk. And that's really the real lasting impact that I want this event conference to have on baon is to show the community that, you know, if these people can do it, you can do it too.”Carissa: “We really want people there who see this as, okay, this is a great networking opportunity to talk to, you know, like minded people forward thinking people, I want people there who are going to take takeaways from this event, I want people to learn from each and every single one of the speakers that we have on the stage. Because we chose each and every one of those people for a reason.”Carissa: “My superpower, I always have this way of thinking is that everyone's greatest strength, this strength is oh my gosh, everyone's biggest strength is also their weakness. And everyone's biggest weakness is kind of their biggest strength. So I feel like mine is definitely introspection. So being able to forecast out and plan long term, but then that could also be, you know, a big weakness of mine, because I've yet very tied up and thinking, you know, is this the right decision? And it's, it almost becomes choice paralysis, you know, is this the right thing to do? Or is it not? So I would say my big thing is introspection.”Maxim: “My superpower is, and I think Carissa has said best that you know superpowers are also weaknesses. You know, at the end of the day, it is like a double sided coin. But I think mine is that I bite more than I can chew. You know, with TEDx, I mean, I've organized some events before in the past. But TEDx is a whole new level. And I'm not, I mean, I'm a fan of TEDx, But until that point, I wasn't really familiar with the format as much and it was really an open seat for me. I haven't unexplored territory, I haven't been there before. And I've been in anyways, I was like, you know, what, whatever, we'll do it. And there's always that kind of moment, you realize, holy shit, I'm responsible for my actions.”Dale: “I had nothing that I was striving for. But the minute they gave me like, Hey, you could be a Marine. And I had something to go after and have a standard based on like, that was it.”Dale: “I really just enjoyed taking my skills and helping other people. You know, I just enjoyed it. And I'm not a tech techie guy… But what excited me was what we could do with it to help other people.”Dale: “I think I was fortunate from the Marine Corps to have been trained and leadership and exposed to it. Certainly I've done 20 years of personal development as well on top of that. Certainly I've done 20 years of personal development as well on top of that. And I enjoy helping those people that are stuck, kind of in this world of, you know, their broken ball of a business”Rob: “At the end of the day, authenticity wins. Because if you try to do trends and all this bullshit, like, it's great, you're gonna grow, but you're, you're not gonna be touched by your passion.”Dale: “People are looking for the answers and I'm going… you've got the answers. The hard part is scaling the business.”Dale: “You've got to be constantly evolving. But I don't think that tech doesn't have that cornered. Every business has to be the world is evolving rapidly. So we all have to be you know, saying hey, it's simple, man. Here's how you do that entrepreneurs out there, what's working, what's not working, you know, period, just ask yourself, what's working, what's not working.”Dale: “This is said time and time again, you know, you've got to take responsibility for yourself, right? You can't be pointing fingers. You can't be blaming your team. You can't be blaming other people. And I don't I'm sure just in my maturity of leaders immaturity of leadership, at some point, you're doing some finger pointing but I think you know, and I don't have a specific incidents to think of per se, but I can tell you like, once you take complete ownership of it, right?”Dale: “I say, just ready fire aim, sometimes you gotta think ready fire aim, sometimes you just have to take the shot, to find out what corrections you need to make”Dale: “When you're in a leadership role you're leading others discipline is the ability to lead yourself what am I saying? HIGHLIGHTSMoving from being a VP to an EntrepreneurFounding his first companyChallenges in building his first businessBalancing personal relationships and running a businessStart of podcasting and co-founding SalescastThere are about 2.7 million podcasts todayBuilding a podcast communityThe plan for Salescast in 2022Salescast being a community enabling people to share their storyCollin's final adviseQUOTESCollin: “The short answer is I'm not a good employee. Yeah, you know, entrepreneurs, I think have some similar traits, right, we're typically a little bit stubborn, you know, have a lot of drive and motivation and don't like being kept in a box of thinking outside of that box.”Rob: “I mean, I think there's no right or wrong way. On who you partner with, there's tons of stories, and it could be a solo founder, multiple founder and their stats saying like people invest in multiple founders more than solo founders.”Rob: “ The way we consume content and the way we consume podcasts has just evolved with the evolution of technology. And I think it's still a great time to have a podcast to leverage that for many different ways and things you want to do, whether that's, you know, driving sales and potential clients by starting relationship through a podcast and selling but driving that relationship to the keynote topics that you want to talk about to, you know, try to make it into more of a monetization platform and a really kind of fun show.”Collin: “ We thought everybody should use their podcast to prospect or, you know, call it prospect, but really build relationships. And not everybody wants to use it that way. We've started to learn the different ways that people can use a podcast to drive revenue. And we've started to identify who we serve best and who we don't.”Rob: “ And the lessons that many of us need to learn is that we can create businesses to serve everyone. But we don't need to, we got to niche out, we got to find that authentic, you can call it your tribe, whatever, right riches and niches, you need to find kind of where you can go deep before you can go wide.”Collin: “I still believe, as an entrepreneur, like sales is the number one skill that you should have. And if you don't, let's say you're a technical founder and you build stuff, then I think it makes a lot of sense to have a co-founder that sells, because you could have the best product, you could have the best service, if nobody can sell it, then nobody cares.”Collin: “Just get started. maybe you just start it as a side hustle first. What skills do you need in order to start whatever business you're thinking about. Or maybe you've already started and you're trying to get to the next level to go all in on entrepreneurship and maybe give up the 9 to 5. Surround yourself with some like-minded people. HIGHLIGHTSIt's important to find ways to meditateFrom art history to entrepreneurshipSuccess doesn't always follow a linear path Brilliantly began with trying to feel better after a mastectomyWe all need safe spaces Know when to zoom out and dive in your projects You need a community to grow and improve Pitching to Kevin O'Leary outside Shark TankEntrepreneurs need to be okay with change Get both cheerleaders and critics The shows and books that Kristen recommend Don't spread yourself too thin and get consistent feedback loops QUOTESKristen: “Brilliantly started because I was just trying to solve a problem for myself, and I think that's common for entrepreneurs. I wasn't like, oh I have an idea for an app that everybody can use. I was like, I'm uncomfortable and how can I feel better?”Kristen: "I learned how to zoom out and see the whole thing and what needed to happen to keep all the things incrementally moving forward, and when was it time to dive down. I've been able to use that. Almost every project I've worked on since has been a banger, if we're gonna be off brand here." Kristen: "I had this core of people who are amazing, and it's like a ripple effect to the pond. I just continued to expand the people that I have access to, the amazing people that those people have access to, and I've learned more in the last four and a half years."Kristen: "You can't foresee all kinds of things that are gonna happen or gonna change what you have to do. And I can use every ounce of my brain power and energy to make a plan that I think is a beautiful great strategic plan with advisors and investors and everybody is psyched about. And then something could happen and it all changes. And knowing that I have to always have the tools in my toolkit to be emotionally well through all of these changes and to throw out plans that sometimes took a long time to craft, is hard."Rob: "I'm not a big fan of big goal setting. And by nature of it, I think we kind of set ourselves a few big lofty goals and as soon as we fall off, it's just like we lose it. Might as well put a marker in the sand. You put a marker in the sand. You plant that flag. And that might take you one month, six months, it might take you a year, and you might go backwards. But you know what, you can always pick up that flag and move it up a little bit and move it back to make it easier, move it out if it seems too easy."Kristen: "Find your people. Get accountability partners that will push you, and also that will support you and hug you when things are hard. Cheerleaders and critics – have both. And that can be through professional organizations or something people do on their own, but it's critical."Connect with Kristen and Brilliantly through the links belowLinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/kristenrcarbone/Email: kristen@brilliantly.coInstagram: @brilliantly.coWebsite: www.brilliantly.coDon't forget to subscribe and leave a review.Connect with Rob:www.beacons.page/robnapoliwww.linkedin.com/in/robnapIG: @rise_up.robnapSpecial offer for #BearNation listeners who are interested in trying Brilliantly Warm, use this 10% off discount code WELCOME10.We have teamed up with Phin, a social impact marketing firm, to give back for each episode. HIGHLIGHTSGetting an entrepreneurial idea through a master's degreeSolving the technological gap in psychiatry and psychologyResilience is key in building a businessWorking with a co-founder and separating tasksDealing with mental health while building a business focusing on mental healthGathering steam and being blindsided by COVID-19What is Nevaro Tech up to?Just launch and iterate as you go What Rob and Rita are looking forward to in 2022Life is a sinusoidal journeyQUOTESRita: "Throughout my master's degree, I started having some classes on neurosciences and the human brain, and I started seeing, okay, that's what I like, that's what I want to explore a little further. And even more than that, we started exploring what kind of technology was applied in psychiatry, in psychology, and what a surprise, we looked at it and there is none. There is no technology, there is no innovation in those fields."Rita: "Something that we are proud of and usually people criticize a little bit, is every time we have an opportunity, we take it and we go learn from it. We did a lot of acceleration programs, we did a lot of mentoring. We really grew. We had an academic background in engineering, but we lacked completely the parts of the business, of the entrepreneurial world."Rita: Our main goal at Nevaro Tech is turning mental health tangible. We are showing that there is science backing it up. If you do this, your body will be like that, and that will improve because of that. Something that we really value is being really straightforward deconstructing everything like showing the science behind what will breathing exercises do to your oxygen rate, carbon dioxide, how will that affect your body and how many times you should do it."Rob: "Working with founders from all over the world all the time, I can't tell you how many times people are waiting for the perfect product. If you wait 'till perfect, it's too late. Get good out, get feedback, iterate, and move quickly."Connect with Rita and Nevaro Tech through the links belowLinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/rita-macorano/LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/nevaro-tech/Instagram: @nevaro.techWebsite: www.nevaro.techDon't forget to subscribe and leave a review.Connect with Rob:www.beacons.page/robnapoliwww.linkedin.com/in/robnapIG: @rise_up.robnapWe have teamed up with Phin, a social impact marketing firm, to give back for each episode. HIGHLIGHTSNot all people are wired to work for others Find your own purpose and keep moving forward People need a way to deal with COVID-19's impact on mental health as well Finding Reiki healing and dealing with anxietyFrom in-house consultations to events and workplace sessionsMake your day job and business complement each otherLook internally and find your own flow Physical activity can do wonders for your mental healthRelease your expectations and tap into your inner childIf you're thinking about diving into entrepreneurship, just do itLook inward and know that you are enoughQUOTESJaclyn: "At first, they were completely separate. I didn't tell anyone at my day job that I had my own business. I wanted to keep it completely separate. I hated the fact that I still had my full-time job and I think that was more so my ego, but now that I can be like, 'Okay, Jaclyn. Relax. This is funding your business. It will become a full-time thing when it's meant to happen' has allowed me to more openly speak about doing both and telling people at my day job that I do have my own company."Jaclyn: "Just do it. Honestly, if you are even slightly thinking about building your own company, Just do it because you're going to regret not doing it."Jaclyn: “My super power is getting people to understand what their own superpower is. I feel like, and I don't know if it's the healer part of me, but if I were to sit down and have a conversation with someone, it, it always turns out that like this light bulb goes off for them and they're like, oh, I have to do this. Oh, I can do this. I can be this, no matter if it's like relationship advice or job advice, whatever it is. Every time I talk to someone it's kind of like, okay. I can do this. I got this now. And they recognize what their own power is."Jaclyn: "To know that you are enough to be who you want to be, to do what you want to do, and to make an impact on this world, you have it within you to really tap in and extract it out and share it with others. It just takes looking inward to find it, to figure out how you want to showcase it, but you have it, you are enough. And if that nine to five job is not enough for you, you feel like you can do more. You can do more."Connect with Jaclyn through the links belowLinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/jaclyn-francis-9185604a/Instagram (Personal): @jaclynfrancis Instagram (Business): @readyseshgo Website: www.readyseshgo.comDon't forget to subscribe and leave a review.Connect with Rob:www.beacons.page/robnapoliwww.linkedin.com/in/robnapIG: @rise_up.robnapWe have teamed up with Phin, a social impact marketing firm, to give back for each episode. HIGHLIGHTSComing together and building a new business togetherMove Ventures is acquiring Hapday GroupBusiness partners should complement each other Honesty is a crucial part in doing business Things to be excited for in 2022QUOTESJC: "It's been a story of believing that you can actually do the thing that you think of and if you are willing to do that extra effort that's needed. We're not the smartest guys on the planet, we're just relentless and consistent, and I guess, very social."Rob: "Move is gonna be taking it into the next level and so, 20 people, coming in 2022. Phil and I will be coming out as board members to help drive growth, scalability, process, like these are exciting things and the story leading up to it is one of pure magic through simple networking and great conversation."Filip: "The first question is like, am I gonna enjoy working with this person. And with you guys, I think it just works. Sometimes JC and I we understand each other without words. Sometimes we just sit down and just let things happen. It was very similar with guys, just living abroad and living in different countries it really helps us to understand each other we have to have the same kind of mindset."Philip: "Rob and I both have a pretty strong moral compass. We really believe in giving and taking and we believe that what we put out into the world is going to be brought back to us. And I didn't have to ask this of you guys. I saw it. I saw the way that you conducted yourselves in those conversations, which was I want to do right by these people and if I don't think that I can do right with what they're requesting, I will tell them. And maybe we lost a deal or two because of that, but I would much rather be that way."JC: "It's not just about how much money you can make, it's also about how can you enable more people to become better versions of themselves, in this case, through tech and sales."Connect with Philip, Filip, and JC through the links belowPhilip Delvecchio: https://www.linkedin.com/in/pdelvec/JC Rico: https://www.linkedin.com/in/jcricoc/Filip Karwala: https://www.linkedin.com/in/fkarwala/Move Ventures: www.move.partnersDon't forget to subscribe and leave a review.Connect with Rob:www.beacons.page/robnapoliwww.linkedin.com/in/robnapIG: @rise_up.robnapWe have teamed up with Phin, a social impact marketing firm, to give back for each episode. HIGHLIGHTSIntroducing Anastasia and GabrielEntrepreneurship comes from anywhere and everywhereExplaining the Starta Process The advantages of entering the Starta ecosystemVenture capital is funding innovation for humanityExpanding to Berlin and Moscow to open new opportunities What we're most excited for in 2022QUOTESAnastasia: "Honestly, just what we do gives us so much joy because our business model is basically helping people. This is what were trying to do: we're trying to provide resources for them to grow, we're trying to make the right connections, we're trying to invite the relevant people so we have something happening. It's just a great feeling." Anastasia: "We live to make money like all investors. But we also live to help these people sincerely."Gabriel: "If you're an international founder, you've got a disadvantage. If you're a female founder, and you're an international founder, you've got a disadvantage. If you're a person of color, and you're an international founder, and you're a female, you have the biggest disadvantage anybody could ever place upon you. And providing that network for these founders, giving them that stamp of approval, it means the world." Anastasia: "I just think it's important what we're doing in general. I think, venture capital, in a way, it's gonna sound a little rough, but it's kind of like a whole charity organization for the world to be able to move forward. Because all of these venture capitalists, investors, we all like invest in different projects and 99% of them fail. And then there's this 1% that changes the world." Rob: "Innovation doesn't come without failure."
