On Tuesday, the Department of Justice announced it's launching a much-needed and super important investigation into Washington D.C.'s crime statistics. The DOJ said it's looking into whether the stats have been QUOTE: "manipulated" to make the crime rate seem lower. Why, might you ask, is the DOJ using time, money, and resources to look into this? Probably because it's searching for a way to justify President Donald Trump's takeover of the Metropolitan Police Department and deployment of National Guard troops to the district. However, it has been roughly two weeks since Trump's takeover, and we have some questions. Is DC's crime problem really that bad? And is it better now after federal intervention? We spoke with journalist Josh Barro. The situation in Syria is likely worse than you know. Over the last week, jihadist militants have savagely attacked religious minorities, eliminating thousands of civilians in just a matter of days. Women, children, entire families – were dispatched in their homes and in the streets. Many of the bodies have been dumped into mass graves. Thevideos and photos capturing these scenes in Syria are ghoulish. The savagery bears all the hallmarks of a genocide. The Alawites, a religious minority group similar to Shi'iteMuslims, were primarily targeted in these pogroms. Yet other minorities, including Christians, were swept up in the violence. Sadly, most Christians around the world know little – ifanything – about what is going on. Others are confused. To help raise awareness, we are providing this brief update on what's happening in Syria.  Take courage! The Church is not doomed in Syria. Many Christians are standing their ground in Syria, even if they are scared. Not only that, but many from different religious backgrounds are seeking the truth and finding Christ. What's up Bros? RHONY is in trouble. This cast continues to give us inauthentic performances and unfortunately we can all see through it. This episode itself contained very little substance to discuss. Yes, Brynn and Ubah continue to be at odds in what seems like an insurmountable issue because Ubah won't let Brynn get a word in. While we've been tough on Brynn this season, could it be that Brynn is attempting to do her job and be messy, but the rest of the cast isn't meeting her halfway? Everyone is so overly sensitive to trivial drama that it makes it difficult for anything of notice to occur. God forbid you speak over someone, or get a little messy, that is grounds for expulsion apparently. Erin is doing fine, Raquel is interesting, but the rest of the cast is flopping hard. We have an entire scene in a grocery store playing 'how much does this cost'. The only action happens in the last scene when Ubah and Brynn get into it, but not really, because once again Brynn isn't able to speak. The group sympathizes with Brynn not getting a word in, but NOBODY SPEAKS UP WHEN UBAH IS GOING IN ON HER. Everyone is afraid to ruffle feathers, they are afraid of damaging their public image, they are not doing enough nor giving enough and it shows. Barring a complete 180 and the whole group throwing caution to the wind and really giving us 100%, this show is headed for another reboot, pause or worse... Learn more about your ad choices. Judge Aileen Cannon could be in big trouble after it was revealed that she failed to disclose the fact that she attended a right wing legal junket in May of 2023. The event, paid for by a conservative law school, featured other conservative judges and right wing organizations, and Cannon was required by rules to disclose the trip within 30 days - which obviously never happened. This news comes as outside groups have filed amicus briefs to get Cannon removed from the Trump documents case.Also, a sheriff in Ohio posted on Facebook saying that residents in his town should start writing down the addresses of people who openly support Kamala Harris for President, but only so that he can send illegal immigrants to their homes if she wins the election. This has nothing to do with immigration and everything to do with threatening and intimidating people who hold different political beliefs. This also comes as Republicans are trying to say that the Left is engaging in inflammatory rhetoric. And one of Donald Trump's own campaign advisers tore into the campaign for the rally that they held in Flint, Michigan this week that featured Arkansas governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders. Sanders attacked Vice President Harris for not having any biological children (and omitting that she has two step children) saying that because she doesn't have children, she has nothing to keep her humble. The Trump adviser made it clear that these attacks were "offensive" and that he was incredibly disappointed in Sanders.Finally, on Tuesday evening, Donald Trump posted on Truth Social that people now agree that he won last week's debate, even though there aren't any polls showing that this is the case. The man is obsessed with his pathetic performance and is doing everything possible to downplay the damage.
