Maar gelukkig zijn daar Fabio en Aike om ze erop te wijzen dat we zaterdag toch echt een dagje op de bank moeten gaan liggen. Fabio neemt ze mee in zijn verkenning langs de kust en Aike geeft wat inside-the-peloton tips mee. Wat precies? In the first of two episodes this week, Richard, Lionel and Daniel look back at Paris-Nice and Tirreno Adriatico, the stage races in France and Italy respectively won by the Slovenian superstars, Primož Roglič and Tadej Pogačar. 'Tirreno-Adriatico is nicknamed “The Race Between the Two Seas.” Yes, Italy is of course a peninsula surrounded by one continuous body of water called the Mediterranean (literally “In the Middle of Lands”), and to the old Masters of Italy, the mighty Romans, it was called simply Mare Nostrum (literally “Our Sea”) for eventually they owned every land around it. But truly, truly, the Mediterranean is too big. For the Romans hunting enemy or pirate fleets, to say they were seen on the waters of the Mediterranean would mean nothing—more specific divisions must be bestowed on its regional parts.'

Så skal der skrues op for frekvensen. Gruppettoen har taget fra sparegrisen og har investeret i nyt udstyr, så de kan levere flere afsnit fra løbene. Det vil sige, at Norsgaard befinder sig på Hotel Caesar ved Lido di Camaiore i Toscana, mens Byriel sidder i hjemmestudiet i Vejle-penthousen.   De vender naturligvis det netop overstået Strade Bianche, hvor Norsgaards holdkammerat, El Bala, Alejandro Valverde, blev flot nr. 2.
