Etappe des Giro d'Italia 2026 war heute ein 42 Kilometer langes Einzelzeitfahren von Viareggio nach Massa – und wurde klar von Filippo Ganna dominiert. Der Italiener gewann mit großem Vorsprung vor seinem Teamkollegen Thymen Arensman und dem Franzosen Rémi Cavagna. Im Kampf um die Gesamtwertung blieb es spannend: Jonas Vingegaard konnte zwar Zeit gutmachen, verpasste aber das Rosa Trikot knapp. Der überraschende Gesamtführende Afonso Eulálio verteidigte seine Führung und liegt nun noch 27 Sekunden vor Vingegaard. Nog een punt waarop Maxim en Youri elkaar vonden: het format van de ploegentijdrit in Parijs-Nice. Dat is een vat vol verhalen. Youri denkt dat Remco Evenepoel met dit format de gele trui in de openingsrit van de Tour amper kan ontgaan.De mannen zagen ook sterke optredens bij INEOS Grenadiers en roepen op om het extreme weather protocol in de toekomst te tunen per koers of koersmaand, zodat je excessen zoals de vierde rit in Parijs-Nice beter kunt bestrijden. Johan, Spencer, and JB break down the past few stages of the Vuelta, mainly the individual time trial, which saw Filippo Ganna scorch the competition while Sepp Kuss put up a strong defense of his race lead with a surprisingly strong ride. They go over the strength of Kuss' position atop the overall standings coming out of the TT, and how QuickStep and Ineos have potentially mismanaged the past few stages. JB, Johan, and Spencer break down Remco Evenepoel's scorching ride to win the World Time Trial Championships in Stirling, Scotland, as well as Filippo Ganna's strong showing after winning another individual pursuit title to finish a close second, and 19-year-old Joshua Tarling's incredible performance to round out the podium in third.  They discuss how Evenepoel's win might affect his ongoing team contract drama and his upcoming Vuelta a España GC campaign, before getting into the Women's event, and Chloe Dygert's strong winning ride, just three years after a potentially career-ending crash in the same event at the 2020 World Championships.

Filippo Ganna is utterly unique in the men's peloton. At the time of recording Filippo was just a week short of his 27th birthday yet he has a palmares that is remarkable in its breadth and scale - he's won six stages at the Giro d'Italia - including five straight time trial stages… and a mountainous breakaway. He's the reigning hour record holder, yet finished second at this years' Milan San Remo. He spoke to us just before winning his first week-long stage race at the Tour of Wallonie as he prepares for the Cycling Super World Championships in Glasgow and La Vuelta….
