Christian Polanco and Alexis Guerreros react to Lionel Messi's historic hat trick in Argentina's 3-0 victory and discuss what it means for his final World Cup. With Messi now tied for the most World Cup goals ever, the guys debate who had the best opening performance of the tournament: Messi, Kylian Mbappé or Erling Haaland. They also discuss Christian Pulisic's calf injury and whether Mauricio Pochettino should protect his captain against Australia or trust him to lead the United States once again. Next, The Cooligans welcome Ben Fawkes for another World Cup betting segment. The crew breaks down the over/under for USA-Australia, debates whether Folarin Balogun is the safest goal scorer bet, and examines England's attacking options against Croatia. They also look at Mexico vs South Korea and ask whether tempers could boil over after the chaos of Mexico's opening match, while discussing Ismail Saibari's chances of scoring again for Morocco against Scotland. To wrap up the show, Christian and Alexis preview another packed day at the World Cup. Can Mexico take control of Group A against South Korea? Will Colombia avoid an upset against Uzbekistan? Can Ghana get a result against Panama? And with England set to face Croatia in one of the marquee games of the group stage, the guys discuss what the Three Lions need to do to prove that football really might be coming home. Our 7-day march to opening kick off of the World Cup continues with a deep dive into who might take home the tournaments most coveted prize – the James Rodríguez Award. This special trophy is awarded to the World Cup's most electric young player, but with a catch. First, you must be 22 or younger by the conclusion of the competition. Second, you cannot already be a global star playing for a megaclub (Yamal, Zaire-Emery, Güler). And third, you ideally don't play for one of the biggest international footballing nations (Endrick, Nico Paz). The James Rodriguez winner, much like its namesake, will capture the hearts and minds of soccer fans everywhere and will be launched into stardom. Our mission is to build a starting 11 of contenders who we deem most likely to take home this honor (in addition to a hearty bench). Will your favorite youngster make our roster? The LA Galaxy prepare to host James Rodriguez and Minnesota United in a high-stakes clash that could define the G's momentum heading into a brutal April. But a late-breaking injury doubt puts a serious doubt on the global superstar's participation, while the Galaxy will also be without one of their stars in this game, an early "6-pointer" in the G's MLS campaign.

Is James Rodríguez really headed to Minnesota United? The housing market could do something it's never done before—permanently reverse. For as long as home prices have been recorded, they've always increased over time. But, with one of the largest generations, the Baby Boomers, aging out, and household formation shrinking as birth rates decline, we could face a new problem—insufficient demand. This is a huge problem for Millennials and the Gen Z generation since buying a house, the primary asset that makes up the majority of many Americans' net worth, may not be the same wise financial decision as it was before. James Rodriguez joins us on the show to break down his recent article, The millennial homebuying predicament, and why buying a home may get easier for the younger generations, but it could come with less long-term payoff. For years, economists speculated that a “silver tsunami” would flood the housing market with inventory. What actually ensued, however, was more of a “silver glacier,” since we're still millions of housing units short. But once these boomer-owned homes hit the market, will prices grow, stall, or decline? What happens to home prices if the population stagnates or reverses? Does buying a home become a riskier decision? James is on to help us answer these questions and share which homes could be the safest bet for long-term demand. In This Episode We Cover The demographic dropoff that could transform the housing market forever Properties with the most (and least) demand as household sizes shrink With population concerns, does buying a house become a much riskier decision? The “silver glacier” that's slowly melting and bringing inventory to the market Could immigration solve America's population replacement problem? And So Much More! Welcome in for another edition of the Morning Espresso from the SDH Network, brought to you by Oglethorpe University, Atlanta's premier undergraduate learning experience and soccer powerhouse. One of the most frustrating nights in recent memory for Atlanta United, a 3-0 loss at Philadelphia on Saturday. So many different things were maddening in this one, from first half injuries that wrecked sub patterns later when chasing the game, to the responses to goals conceded, to the lack of chances created and touches inside the attacking 18 in the second half. It wasn't good enough on a lot of different fronts and adds to the pressure of going to Orlando next weekend. We'll be in Marietta tomorrow and will have more in Training Ground Dispatch in the afternoon on the SDH Network.Charlotte and Cincinnati top the Eastern Conference in MLS while Vancouver maintains their lead out West. Seattle had a big win at home over Nashville on the weekend. Miami stays unbeaten, defeating Columbus in Cleveland in front of over 60,000 fans. Liga MX playoffs are set with Toluca winning the regular season crown in the Clausura, Club America sneaking into the second seed after Alex Zendejas' contributions of two assists and earning a penalty in the 5-0 win over Mazatlan. Sergio Ramos left Monterrey's regular season finale and is a doubt for their play-in round match against Pachuca while James Rodriguez will miss Leon's first leg of the quarterfinal against Cruz Azul after getting two yellows for dissent in their match over the weekend. Barcelona might have put their UEFA Women's Champions League semifinal against Chelsea out of reach with a 4-1 win at home in the first leg, the final goal in the 90th minute from Claudia Pina might have sealed it. Lyon's scored a late winner from Melchie Dumornay in London to beat Arsenal 2-1 in their first leg, the Gunners will go to France next weekend to try to overturn it. KC Current take the top spot in the NWSL with their ninth straight regular season win and fifth straight in 2025 to open the season, a 2-0 victory over Houston. Real Madrid might now need an interim coach according to AS in Spain for the Club World Cup this summer if they move on from Carlo Ancelotti as expected, perhaps as soon as after this weekend's Copa del Rey final. Santiago Solari, the Director of Football who previously won the Club World Cup in 2018, and legendary former striker Raul, who has been in charge of the second team, are the leading contenders for that role ahead of an appointment of either Xabi Alonso or Jurgen Klopp for next season. It's Spain though, anything could happen this week to change the storylines. More Espresso on Tuesday on the SDH Network, presented by Oglethorpe University.
