Kallie Kriel, CEO of Afriforum, SA's most powerful civic society organisation, shares uncomfortable truths in this interview with BizNews editor Alec Hogg. The former schoolteacher, whose 18-year-old organisation boasts a vast network and over 300 000 contributing members, says the ANC and other supporters of EWC are spinning a false tune. He says the legislation is deeply malevolent. Among the unspoken consequences is the way this law will empower radical agents right down to a municipal level to attack all property rights - not just land, but any asset - put the onus on victims to fight through an expensive, snail-paced legal system. Kriel remains hopeful that US President Donald Trump's intervention jolts Pretoria into recanting before the full impact of US economic power is unleashed on SA.

I used to visit him for haircuts, but everything changed when he proposed and we began dating. He constantly pressured me for sex, which I initially refused. Eventually, I gave in, and now I'm pregnant. However, he denies responsibility, falsely claiming he didn't ejaculate. But he did, and even told me I was sweet and gave me 10 cedis after. I'm both confused and hurt that he's now denying responsibility.— A Pregnant 17-Year-Old Girl Laments. Join for the full story.

Today on Karl and Crew Mornings, we continued our weekly theme, "Four Pillars of Manhood." Pillar number 2 is accepting responsibility. Our Scripture reference was 2 Samuel 12. We read about David stepping up and owning his sinful actions concerning Bathsheba and Uriah. There's something so powerful about being able to admit, "I have sinned against the Lord." Today can be the day when you bust through fear and pride and take the courageous step of accepting responsibility. Finally, it's National Fishing Day! We got some great recommendations from the Boom Crew for good fishing spots, and we discussed what it means to be a fisher of men. Listen to all the highlights of today's program on the Karl and Crew Showcast.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Explore how the art of apologizing can shape the fate of a business during a crisis. As an executive or founder in the healthcare space, it's crucial to understand the significance of an apology, especially when things go wrong. An appropriate apology can mean the difference between escalating a crisis and mitigating damage, between losing trust and rebuilding relationships. We will explore 3 case studies: Case Study: United Airlines Incident The public fallout and the missed opportunity in expressing regret. Disciple Up #270 War Stories Part 3: Failure Isn't Fatal – Joshua 7-8 By Louie Marsh, 8-3-2022   Intro.   So about 3,000 men went up there from the people. And they fled before the men of Ai, and the men of Ai killed about thirty-six of their men and chased them before the gate as far as Shebarim and struck them at the descent. And the hearts of the people melted and became as water. Joshua 7:4-5 (ESV)   Four Common Causes of Failure   I have HIDDEN SIN in my life.   1  But the people of Israel broke faith in regard to the devoted things, for Achan the son of Carmi, son of Zabdi, son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, took some of the devoted things. And the anger of the LORD burned against the people of Israel. Joshua 7:1 (ESV)   I quit TRUSTING GOD because things are going well.   2  Joshua sent men from Jericho to Ai, which is near Beth-aven, east of Bethel, and said to them, “Go up and spy out the land.” And the men went up and spied out Ai. 3  And they returned to Joshua and said to him, “Do not have all the people go up, but let about two or three thousand men go up and attack Ai. Do not make the whole people toil up there, for they are few.” Joshua 7:2-3 (ESV)   I cannot give you the formula for success, but I can give you the formula for failure: which is: Try to please everybody. - Herbert B. Swope   I divide my FOCUS AND ENERGY   4  So about three thousand men went up there from the people. And they fled before the men of Ai, Joshua 7:4 (ESV)   Then I BLAME GOD for my failures & problems.   7  And Joshua said, “Alas, O Lord GOD, why have you brought this people over the Jordan at all, to give us into the hands of the Amorites, to destroy us? Would that we had been content to dwell beyond the Jordan! 8  O Lord, what can I say, when Israel has turned their backs before their enemies! 9  For the Canaanites and all the inhabitants of the land will hear of it and will surround us and cut off our name from the earth. And what will you do for your great name?” Joshua 7:7-9 (ESV)   God's Reaction to My Failure:   He JERKS THE SLACK out of me!   The LORD said to Joshua, "Stand up! What are you doing down on your face. Joshua 7:10 (NIV)   10  But the Lord said to Joshua, "Get up off your face! Joshua 7:10 (TLB)   He commands me to ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY for my actions.   11  Israel has sinned; they have transgressed my covenant that I commanded them; they have taken some of the devoted things; they have stolen and lied and put them among their own belongings. Joshua 7:11 (ESV)   He commands me to FORSAKE MY SIN   13  Get up! Consecrate the people and say, ‘Consecrate yourselves for tomorrow; for thus says the LORD, God of Israel, “There are devoted things in your midst, O Israel. You cannot stand before your enemies until you take away the devoted things from among you.” Joshua 7:13 (ESV)   My Necessary Response to God:   I must TURN BACK to God.   6  Then Joshua tore his clothes and fell to the earth on his face before the ark of the LORD until the evening, he and the elders of Israel. And they put dust on their heads. Joshua 7:6 (ESV)   I must TURN AWAY from my sins and distractions   "Get up! Command the people to purify themselves in preparation for tomorrow…Joshua 7:13a (NLT)   I must be willing to do some PAINFUL CLEANSING of my heart.   "First thing in the morning you will be called up by tribes. The tribe God names will come up clan by clan; the clan God names will come up family by family; and the family God names will come up man by man. The person found with the cursed things will be burned, he and everything he has, because he broke God's covenant and did this despicable thing in Israel." Joshua 7:14-15 (MSG)   “19Then Joshua said to Achan, “My son, give glory to the Lord God of Israel and give praise to him. And tell me now what you have done; do not hide it from me.” 20And Achan answered Joshua, “Truly I have sinned against the Lord God of Israel, and this is what I did: 21when I saw among the spoil a beautiful cloak from Shinar, and 200 shekels of silver, and a bar of gold weighing 50 shekels, then I coveted them and took them. And see, they are hidden in the earth inside my tent, with the silver underneath.”” (Joshua 7:19–21, ESV)   The best way out is always through. - Robert Frost   4 Ways to Move past My Failures:   ACCEPT Christ's encouragement   1  And the LORD said to Joshua, “Do not fear and do not be dismayed. Take all the fighting men with you, and arise, go up to Ai. See, I have given into your hand the king of Ai, and his people, his city, and his land. Joshua 8:1 (ESV)   Follow HIS LEADING   2  And you shall do to Ai and its king as you did to Jericho and its king. Only its spoil and its livestock you shall take as plunder for yourselves. Lay an ambush against the city, behind it.” Joshua 8:2 (ESV)   Be willing to TRY IT AGAIN   So Joshua and the whole army moved out to attack Ai,,, Joshua 8:3a (NIV)   Only those who dare to fail greatly can ever achieve greatly. - Robert F. Kennedy   Success is the ability to go from one failure to another with no loss of enthusiasm.  - Sir Winston Churchill   Success is not final; failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. - Sir Winston Churchill   "This is the lesson: never give in, never give in, never, never, never, never—in nothing, great or small, large or petty—never give in except to convictions of honor and good sense. Never yield to force; never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy." - Sir Winston Churchill   LEARN from my mistakes and do things DIFFERENTLY!   3  So Joshua and all the fighting men arose to go up to Ai. And Joshua chose 30,000 mighty men of valor and sent them out by night. 4  And he commanded them, “Behold, you shall lie in ambush against the city, behind it. Do not go very far from the city, but all of you remain ready. Joshua 8:3-4 (ESV)

The Ultimate Guide to Overcoming Work Place Distractions (Part 2) Continuation from the previous podcast... Rule #3: Accept Responsibility for Yourself and Block Out Unproductive People One of the best ways to manage your time at work is to take control of your own productivity. You can't blame someone else for not being productive, or for distracting you from your work. So how do you block out people who are distracting you? Here are some tips: 1. Accept responsibility for yourself and block out unproductive people. 2. Make sure your workspace is the right size for you. 3. Make sure that everything in your workspace has a purpose. 4. Block out any noise coming from other offices or cubicles that are near yours, especially if it's constant or loud enough to distract you from what you're doing. Rule #4. Create Separate Workspace When Necessary The workspace is a vital part of your working environment, and it is important that you have the right tools to help you achieve your goals. The most common mistake people make when creating a workspace is not separating their workspace from the rest of the office. You should have a separate area where you can work on any project or task that you need to complete without being disturbed by other employees in the office. Rule #5. Be Aware of Your Inner Impulses and React Wisely It is important to keep a balance in life. You can't live life just to work and earn money. You need to have a balance between work and other things like family, friends, community etc. Below are two keys to take note of: 1. Workplace awareness: The first step towards workplace awareness is to be aware of yourself. This can help you to know what you are good at and what you are not good at. It will also help you to know if there are any particular aspects that you can work on as well as what it takes for you to achieve success in your job or profession. 2. Workplace wisdom: Workplace wisdom means having a good understanding about the industry or profession that you are working in. It requires knowledge about the industry, its opportunities and its challenges too. You need to have extensive knowledge about all these aspects so that you can make wise decisions based on them. Conclusion. Workplace distractions are an age-old problem. They're universal and they've been around for decades. The solution is equally universal and equally easy to find. But what you may not know is that there is some technology out there that can help you solve your distractions problems, by blocking certain sites, or allowing only certain sites to be viewed during certain times. I am going to break down the best few solutions for you with no cost implications in my next podcast, and provide a way of tackling distractions without even getting up from your desk. Distractions are the mortal enemy of any focused worker. They may come from within or without, but understanding how to overcome them is key to a productive day. Do have a blessed day. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/weinspirepodcast/message

This is Kelly Orchard's Apple A Day. Sixty seconds on Wisdom, Success and Personal Growth. We're focusing on growth with 30 Days of New Habits. What does it mean to you if I told you to make a habit to accept responsibility? We talk about who is responsible for job tasks, or chores at home, or just being a “responsible citizen”, but what does it mean to you, to “accept responsibility”, and make it a habit? My take on that is that I accept responsibility for my feelings, my behaviors, my attitudes and my actions. They may not always be “right”, or “perfect”, but I accept responsibility for them! I usually try to find the good in most situations, but I occasionally feel the stress and pressures of everyday life. I take responsibility for my failures, my mistakes, my successes and my attitude. Just think, “If we do not feel grateful for what already have, what makes us think we'd be happy with more?” This has been Kelly Orchard's Apple A Day. …Now, go out and be fruitful. Welcome to Day 1889 of our Wisdom-Trek, and thank you for joining me. This is Guthrie Chamberlain, Your Guide to Wisdom Accept Responsibility – Daily Wisdom Welcome to Wisdom-Trek with Gramps. We are on Day 1889 of our Trek, and it's time to explore another nugget of wisdom, which includes an inspirational quote and some wise words from Gramps for today's trek. Wisdom is the final frontier in gaining true knowledge. So we are on a daily trek to create a legacy of wisdom, seek out discernment and insights, and boldly grow where few have chosen to grow before. Hello, my friend; this is Gramps. Thanks for coming along on today's trek as we increase Wisdom and Create a Living Legacy. https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Proverbs%2016%3A16&version=NLT (Proverbs 16:16)  How much better to get wisdom than gold, and sound judgment than silver!    If you apply the words you hear today, over time, it will help you become more healthy, wealthy, and wise as you continue your daily trek of life. So let's jump right in with today's nugget: Today's quote is from Les Brown, and it is: Accept responsibility for your life. Know that it is you who will get you where you want to go, no one else. Accept Responsibility It is so easy to blame others or our lot in life instead of accepting responsibility for everyone or everything that comes across your path in life. You first must realize that people and life are not always fair. There are many situations in life that we can wish were different, but that is not going to change them. You can only change how you react to people and circumstances, which will determine your outcome. Therefore, you must remain persistent and dependable even when others are not. In doing so, you will be able to go where you desire and do the things you desire. Be faithful in all things, accept responsibility for what you need to, and then leave the rest to God to take care of. We do not need to worry, fret, or blame. Just keep on keeping on. https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Luke+16%3A10-11&version=NLT (Luke 16:10-11) “If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones. But if you are dishonest in little things, you won't be honest with greater responsibilities. And if you are untrustworthy about worldly wealth, who will trust you with the true riches of heaven? As you ponder this nugget of wisdom for yourself, please encourage your friends and family to join us and come along tomorrow for another day of ‘Wisdom-Trek, Creating a Legacy.' If you would like to listen to any of our past 1888 treks or read the Wisdom Journal, they are available at Wisdom-Trek.com. Thank you for listening, Welcome back! Our new series “At the Core” just started this weekend with the focus on a value that we have Healthy People Grow. Our flat tires aren't as obvious to us. That's one of the reasons that community is so important. IDENTIFY IT! Ask those questions! It's one of the greatest ways to identify what we don't see. We need vehicle (think personal) maintenance. ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY. Get in God's Word every day. It is a , “lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” Psalm 119:105 “For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any double-edged sword, piercing even to the point of dividing soul from spirit, and joints from marrow; it is able to judge the desires and thoughts of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12 The Bible illuminates what needs to be changed. James 5:16 says, “Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.” When people have helped you, don't push them away, your willingness to change matters. Romans 8:11 teaches us that, “The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you.” Serving helps change your perspective, Matthew 20:28 says, “just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” YouVersion Bible App Coastal Community Church YouTube Playlists Learn more about Coastal Community Church on our website: https://coastalcommunity.tv How has God impacted you? Are you feeling drained? Overwhelmed? Parenting takes a lot of energy. Relationships take energy. Life takes energy. Today I am talking about how we can start taking control of our energy and feel more energized on a daily basis. Key Take-aways: Blame keeps us stuck in an unregulated life, draining our energy. Lack of time is a sign of resistance. We often try to control things that are outside of our power of control. It causes worry and stress draining our energy. Controlling things that are uncontrollable is an energy drain. Worry is a sign we are trying to control something we cannot control. Regaining your energy: 1. Accept Responsibility for own feelings and energy 2. Composure - the willingness to shift from an upset internal state to a calm internal state. 3. How do you want to feel? 4. Make a plan
