The human body is made up of billions of cells. These cells are the basic building blocks of life, and they work together to form tissues, organs, and systems that enable our body to function and carry out various activities. Each cell has its own specific function and role in maintaining the overall health and functionality of the body, but how do these cells know what to do? Researchers at UC San Diego and Hebrew University of Jerusalem share an intercontinental effort working to determine just that. In this interview with Lauren Sivan, Goren talks about how the Blockchain Summit evolved over the years and where it's headed. From NFTs to regulations in the industry, Goren says the way the Summit comes together is very last minute because of the fast-moving pace of the space. Plus what Goren has to say about the regulatory environment in 2022. A big topic he says is U.S. regulation. He says at the Summit he had a former and current SEC chair speak as well as SEC Commissioner Hester Peirce speak on the subject. Peirce, he says, brings a voice of reason to the crypto space. Plus does he think the U.S. will lose out because of the regulations? The firm is a venture studio focused on accelerating and incubating blockchain and crypto startups, while simultaneously producing leading blockchain and cryptocurrency events, Security Token Summit and Crypto Invest Summit (CIS). In addition to producing the world's largest blockchain conference, Draper Goren Holm has been operating a blockchain venture studio that actively accelerates and incubates early-stage startups. The venture studio, which now has 18 portfolio companies, has seen tremendous internal growth, primarily in the decentralized finance (DeFi) and the security token and digital securities sector, and as a result, has positioned itself as one of the top venture funds in the industry.

Evolvement is a podcast hosted by Nye that revolves around Bitcoin, cryptocurrency, blockchain technology, and how these play a role in the current financial models and economic systems of the world. Welcome to the Security Token Series Hosted by the Evolvement Podcast. In this series, I hope to bring you the best quality guests and information around the newly emerging security token industry. The goal is to educate the audience on why security tokens are important to the ecosystem and how they will play a role within crypto. My first guest is Alon Goren, the Founder of Crypto Invest Summit. In this episode, we discuss the future of security tokens and how they are different from the ICO bubble we saw in late 2017. I asked Alon whether we will see a similar hype phase around STOs like we saw around the ICOs and we also got into the basics about what a security token is, why it matters, and what role they will play to retail investors in the space. You can learn more about Alon and Crypto Invest Summit at https://cis.la/. A BIG thank you to Nexo.io for being the title sponsor of the Security Token Series! How will this work?
The notion of "crowdfunding" is still a pretty new concept and although we have seen a major shift in the way companies and startups raise funds through their followers, the benefits that cryptocurrency brings to the table are huge and will continue to push the space where it needs to go. I talk with my friend Alon Goren about the evolution of crowdfunding, regulations surrounding raising funds through an ICO, an STO, and beyond as well as the role that big banking and major corporate conglomerates will play in this transition. Alon also gives us a quick overview of his cryptocurrency conference CIS, that is coming up on April 9-10 in Los Angeles at the Convention center.
Before the word “crowdfunding” existed, Alon Goren already dove into financial technology by launching a social fundraising platform called InvestedIn, using social networking tools they have built to help people raise money online. A couple of years later, he dove into crypto full-time, and their conference, Crowd Invest Summit, became Crypto Invest Summit where they now have enterprise blockchain and security tokens, which he says are the evolution of the industry. Alon is an investor, speaker, host and leader of one of Southern California's largest group of investors and entrepreneurs, 805 Startups. A pioneer in the crowdfunding space, he had been involved in over $200 million in online investment transactions. He joins us to talk about his support of the JOBS Act, their Security Token Summit, and what it takes to tokenize your business. Love the show?
