In this episode, we visit with Orin Nusbaum from Nusbaum Farms in Bellfountain, Oregon — a grower, husband, father, and content creator who's cultivating more than just crops. Orin gives us a glimpse into what life looks like on his diversified farm where he grows a variety of crops and provides fresh produce to local markets and his surrounding community. We explore how the farm has evolved over time — including planting 10 acres of oats in fall 2022, a crop that may have been a first for the operation — and how he navigates the unpredictability of farming, like this past season's surprise combine fire. Orin also shares how his family plays an active role on the farm: his wife, kids, and even the dog stay involved in everything from harvest to road trips to answering calls when things get busy.Celebrating 20 years of marriage, Orin and his wife have built a life around faith, family, and farming. Their teamwork, especially during harvest and hay season, is something that truly sets Nusbaum Farms apart. We talk social media, small-town support, and why it's so important to be present — both online and in the rows. If you love stories about families growing food, navigating challenges, and doing it all together, this episode is for you. Want Farm4Profit Merch? Ever thought about flipping the script on online courses? What if, instead of selling your course, you gave it away for free - and still built a wildly profitable business? In this episode, I sit down with Itai Nusbaum, who has done exactly that. Itai has created 16 online courses, all available for free, and has used them as a powerful marketing engine to establish himself as the go-to expert in his field. We dive deep into his unique approach, exploring how he monetizes his business without directly selling courses, why giving away high-quality content can be a strategic move, and the long-term benefits of prioritizing trust and authority over immediate sales. If you've ever considered alternative ways to scale your online course business or struggled with traditional marketing funnels, this episode will challenge your thinking in the best way possible. On this episode of DGTL Voices, Ed sits down with Michael Nusbaum, an independent healthcare consultant and a true pioneer in the digital health space. Michael's journey is anything but conventional—starting as an engineer, he found his way into hospital administration, and ultimately became a global consultant shaping initiatives like the International Patient Summary. As they dive into his story, Michael reveals the leadership lessons he's gathered along the way, with a strong focus on communication, collaboration, and the value of being a lifelong learner. But beyond the professional accolades, Michael gets candid about something many overlook: work-life balance. He shares how prioritizing personal well-being has been key to his success and longevity in such a demanding field. The episode wraps up with an inspiring conversation about the power of your inner circle—how surrounding yourself with smart, driven, and influential people can shape not just your career, but your entire perspective on leadership and growth. This episode is not just a discussion on digital health; it's a window into the mindset of a leader who's still learning, evolving, and prioritizing what matters most.

Have you ever found yourself at a crossroads, where one path leads to the ordinary and the other to exceptional? This week's Leadwell podcast guest, Walter Nussbaum, shares his inspiring journey from the former to the latter—how a disciplined mentor and an epiphany over dinner at Bullwinkle Steakhouse set him on a course toward outstanding leadership and personal growth. We delve into those life-altering 'fork in the road' moments, and Walter's narrative serves as a testament to the power of positive influence and the pursuit of excellence.Leadership is more than a title; it's a complex blend of skills, social savvy, and above all, character. In our conversation with Walter, we uncover the critical elements that define a 'total leader' and the importance of the Arete mindset—a philosophy that champions maximizing current potential and pushing the boundaries of what we can become. This episode isn't just about recognizing one's innate talents but also nurturing them to inspire and encourage growth within teams and organizations. To wrap up, we explore the often-overlooked force of affection in leadership. Just as an elderly woman gave up smoking out of love, we discuss how affection-driven leadership can transform obligations into passions and foster a culture of excellence. Walter's insights on practicing and instilling these principles in our daily lives are invaluable. This episode originally aired March 31, 2021.Eric Nusbaum is the author of the award-winning book, "Stealing Home: Los Angeles, the Dodgers, and the Lives Caught in Between." Dodger Stadium is an American icon. But the story of how it came to be goes far beyond baseball. The hills that cradle the stadium were once home to three vibrant Mexican American communities. In the early 1950s, those communities were condemned to make way for a utopian public housing project. Then, in a remarkable turn, public housing in the city was defeated amidst a Red Scare conspiracy.Instead of getting their homes back, the remaining residents saw the city sell their land to Walter O'Malley, the owner of the Brooklyn Dodgers. Now LA would be getting a different sort of utopian fantasy — a glittering, ultra-modern stadium. But before Dodger Stadium could be built, the city would have to face down the neighborhood's families — including one, the Aréchigas, who refused to yield their home. The ensuing confrontation captivated the nation – and the divisive outcome still echoes through Los Angeles today. In this episode of the podcast, Nusbaum discusses the history of Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, and the lives and communities its construction disrupted.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

This is episode 564. Tips for sales career success. Read the complete transcript on the Sales Game Changers Podcast website. RACHEL'S TIP: "Reach out to three different people that you admire, either from a leadership perspective, someone at work that you admire, and just talk to them, network with them. Figure out how they got to where they got and then take their advice. If somebody suggests you do something that you really look up to or admire, go do it. Take those next steps. Every single week ask yourself, did I do that extra thing to take those next steps? I would say networking and doing those extra things to take those next steps and don't be afraid. Don't be afraid. You're amazing, be confident, don't be afraid."

Jesus the Christ made the world this promise: "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." How does that meaningful life happen. It happens at multiple levels and has various attachment point, but in the end it is quite simple: He wants to restore what our ancestors abdicated, what we rebelled against, and what the devil lies about to repent. But Jesus wants us to ask him: "Thy Kingdom come and Thy will be done!" How on earth does this happen? Simple, actually - but not without consequence. Our guest Speaker Walter Nusbaum delivered a powerful message to make us think about God's process of restoration, and then Sean sat down with Walter and then Rick for deeper discussion! Make sure that you listen to Walter's message, first, then come back and hear the rest!
(First Broadcast - 21st June 2020) What is the value of wisdom in the time of the global pandemic? Does the community of behavioural scientists studying wisdom agree on anything about the nature of wisdom? Can we say what we now know about wisdom and, conversely, what do we know we don't yet know? Howard Nusbaum joins Igor and Charles to discuss the recently assembled Toronto Wisdom Task Force and the resulting Common Wisdom Model, meta-cognition, the thorny issue of moral-grounding, and sage advice regarding how to measure wisdom in the lab. Igor stresses the importance of building solid theoretical foundations for the field in the context of the pandemic, Howard reflects on the viability of evil wisdom, and Charles learns that we had better pay close attention today to the values we program into the decision-making robots of tomorrow. Special Guest: Howard Nusbaum.
959 WAY back in the day when YouTube was brand new and I was introduced to the platform, my first thought was, "Wow! The potential here is endless! Think of all the knowledge that we can share with the world!" I was an engineering student then, and was hyper-focused on finishing my degrees and getting into the workforce as quickly as possible. Fast forward ten years, I found myself in a bit of a rut. Engineering wasn't giving me the satisfaction I'd hoped, and a nagging voice kept pushing me back towards the seemingly infinite potential for creating meaningful change via widespread education on YouTube. I watched other people follow-through with what I so strongly believed YouTube should be used for (think Crash Course, Khan Academy) and finally couldn't take it anymore. I just had to take the leap and create a channel that was all about spreading knowledge. ________ Want your customers to talk about you to their friends and family? That's what we do! Author of Stealing Home, Eric Nusbaum and I talk about Lou Mathew's fantastic book Shaky Town. We talk about the Dodgers in probably a little too much detail but this podcast does not apologize for Dodger talk. I make some wildly incorrect predictions about the now finished Baseball season. I also tell a story about a how I predicted that Chris Taylor would hit 3 homers in a particular game... He did, I called it, but no one but my wife believes me.Eric's Super Cool Sports Blog:https://sportsstories.substack.comBuy Shaky Town:https://www.amazon.com/Shaky-Town-Novel-Lou-Mathews/dp/1735303801/ref=sr_1_1?crid=MQARAW0R64UG&keywords=shaky+town+lou+mathews&qid=1641329759&sprefix=shaky+town+lou+mathews%2Caps%2C107&sr=8-1Buy Stealing Home:https://www.amazon.com/Stealing-Home-Angeles-Dodgers-Between/dp/1541742214/ref=tmm_hrd_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&qid=1641329791&sr=8-1
