Apparently Germany has a raccoon problem.  Drunken ones at that.  The population has exploded in recent years and the furry troublemakers are breaking into homes, tearing stuff, and getting lit.  They sound like they'd be cool to hangout with. We got a new beer style, or do we?  I've been using my skeptical face lately with some of these new beer styles.  Apparently, West Coast Pilsner is a thing.  But it sounds like the flavor isn't what you'd expect from something with "West Coast" in the name.British Brewers battered by Brexit.  In addition to the standard issues facing brewers today it sounds like Brexit is causing grief for some of Britain's brewers.  Many are noting huge losses of export sales due to Brexit, and some are closing.  That'll teach 'em.Billy Busch Wants To Make Bud Light Great Again.  Ol' Billy claimed on a recent interview he'd buy back the brand.  Sounds like just some puffing of the chest for attention, but who even knows these days.Vintage... fish?  You know Brian and I are currently going through a tinned seafood phase.  As dive into this more we are learning so many fun things.  Like there are "vintage" tins of sardines.  Apparently the flavors mellow with a few years age on them and soak up more of whatever they're canned in - oil, tomato sauce, peppers..  From what I've seen so far about 5 years is as you want to go.  I'm curious to try some cellared fish, and a bit scared.IT'S BEER FEST TIME Y'ALL!!! The chilling case of Negasi Zuberi has taken the media by storm, spotlighting once again the potential lapses in the justice system and the dark underbelly of domestic control and manipulation. In the latest episode of the "Hidden Killers" podcast, Tony Brueski and former FBI Special Agent Jennifer Coffindaffer delve into the harrowing details of Zuberi's crimes, his sinister writings, and the blind spots of his close family members.   Zuberi's track record is filled with allegations of sexual crimes, abuse, and manipulation. Coffindaffer expressed her disbelief, "How was he free is the question. Think of all the individuals who recently have had similar experiences, only to find their perpetrators out after a small amount of time." With evident frustration, she pointed out the nationwide failure in the justice system, particularly in light of Zuberi's writings which ominously hinted at his readiness to move on from sexual assault to murder.   Zuberi's writings are a chilling testament to his organized mind and his sinister intentions. "The writings are a blueprint for what type of victim to choose, plotting murder, and the importance of not victimizing anyone who would be missed," Coffindaffer noted. Such detailed planning went into creating a makeshift cell right under the nose of his own family. The cell was in his garage, a place seemingly hidden from even those closest to him.   One of the most haunting questions in cases like these is the complicity or knowledge of the family. Did Zuberi's wife know about the cell in their garage? Did she suspect the horrors that were taking place right in their home? Brueski's inquiries led to a series of dead-ends, leaving Coffindaffer to speculate. "We don't have any evidence of her being involved," she remarked. Drawing parallels with other cases, she continued, "It goes unnoticed right underneath their noses. Remember, these crimes are typically about control and dominance. So I believe there's no way his wife knew what he was building or was allowed to ask."   The conversation shifted to the broader implications of control and dominance. "Domestic violence cases evolve," Coffindaffer explained. "It might start out very small, and at the end of the day, you're 100% controlled." In relationships tainted by such control, seemingly odd demands, like being barred from certain areas of the home, might become the disturbing norm. Over time, such demands might escalate, leading to increasingly aggressive and abusive behavior.   The Zuberi case paints a grim picture of the potential failures in the justice system and serves as a harrowing reminder of the insidious nature of domestic control. As investigations continue, one can only hope that justice will be served and that the many victims entangled in Zuberi's web will find some measure of closure.   In the midst of such darkness, podcasts like "Hidden Killers" play an essential role in shedding light on these cases, pushing for systemic change, and ensuring that such horrors are brought to the forefront of public consciousness.
