    Ivy Insights

The Untethered Podcast is an incredible resource for professionals in the field of pediatric feeding, orofacial myology, airway, and tethered oral tissues (TOTs). Hosted by Hallie Bulkin, a renowned SLP and COM, this podcast provides a wealth of information and expert insights that are invaluable for speech-language pathologists (SLPs) and occupational therapists (OTs) working with children with feeding disorders. I discovered this podcast in September 2020 and since then, I have become an official stalker of Hallie's work because everything she puts her hands on is truly golden.

Hallie's podcast stands out for its evidence-based approach to pediatric feeding disorders. She brings years and years of study and experience to the table, ensuring that her listeners receive accurate and up-to-date information. The guests she invites to the podcast are leading experts in their respective fields, providing a diverse range of perspectives. As an SLP myself, I am truly grateful to have access to such a valuable resource that combines evidence-based practice with an engaging and fun format.

One of the best aspects of The Untethered Podcast is its ability to educate and inspire listeners. Hallie's interviews shed light on important topics such as tongue ties, orofacial myology, airway issues, breastfeeding support, sleep apnea, tummy time, and more. This comprehensive approach allows listeners to gain a deeper understanding of these subjects from various disciplines including SLPs, dentists, orthodontists, OTs, PTs, ENTs, IBCLCs (International Board Certified Lactation Consultants), RDHs (Registered Dental Hygienists), RRTs (Registered Respiratory Therapists), among others. The podcast not only shares knowledge but also encourages further education by promoting other resources and experts in the field.

While there aren't many negative aspects to The Untethered Podcast itself, it is worth mentioning that some listeners have commented on Hallie's fast-paced speaking style. While it may be challenging for some to catch every detail, this can also be seen as a positive aspect since it keeps the podcast engaging and dynamic. Additionally, Hallie's ability to break down complex information into digestible pieces outweighs any minor challenges in following her rapid delivery.

In conclusion, The Untethered Podcast is an exceptional resource for professionals and parents alike. Hallie Bulkin's dedication to bringing evidence-based knowledge and expertise to the masses is truly commendable. Her interviews with leading experts in the field provide invaluable insights and inspire listeners to further their education and expand their practice. Whether you are an SLP, OT, or a parent seeking reliable information on pediatric feeding disorders, orofacial myology, airway issues, TOTs or related topics, this podcast is a must-listen. Thank you, Hallie, for your hard work and dedication in providing this incredible resource to the world!
