Michelle Zeitlin is the host of Passion to Power and considered a Hollywood Insider, so it's a perfect match to have Jenn Boyce, who is the founder of THE HOLLYWOOD PREP as her guest on this episode. As a Talent Agent in Hollywood for 30 years, Jenn Boyce has worked with thousands of amazing actors: Paul Rudd, Jessica Biel, Nick Robinson, Shailene Woodley, Ava Michelle, Cedric Joe, Ciara Bravo and Storm Reid, to name a few. What Jenn is focusing on now is helping actors, kids and their parents to navigate the complex "Hollywood" industry in film and TV, and with her expertise in "on camera" commercials especially, to offer tools and resources and TIME that others may not be able to sacrifice- i.e. "agents and managers" in this show business. What does it mean to have an agent? How do agents work? What do they expect? How do submissions work? Technology has certainly made everything more rapid- sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse. Learning about preparation is imporant- and as Michelle Zeitlin offers- "preparation vs. expectation" is the way to move forward. Do what you need to do to be READY for those occasional wins! But don't have false expectations or think everything runs in a paradigm that makes sense to people outside of the "business." https://www.thehollywoodprep.com/ If you are interested in More Zap's talent and literary people and projects, or if you'd like to pitch a guest to Michelle Zeitlin and her team, please send an email to MoreZap@gmail.com or access the online form at http://www.passion-power.com

And onwards into 2021, the guys discuss another reboot/sequel many years removed from the original film in the form of Space Jam: A New Legacy. The guys are also joned by resident extreme sports expert Jerika, who tries to help them figure out if the original Space Jam exists in this world as a movie or a real-life event. They also bemoan the lack of any Jock Jams, wince at how incredibly long the actual basketball section of the film is (half of a TWO-HOUR MOVIE), cringe at all the Warner Bros self-gratification with their extensive use of footage from other movies and all the Intellectual Property cameos and more. Plus: Jerika tells a harrowing tale of when she saw the film in theatres. Check our social media on Sunday for the Sunday Screencrap and take a guess at our next movie! On this episode, the (Some of the) Worst of the Previous Year month continues with the disgusting IP orgy, Space Jam: A New Legacy! Why couldn't they give LeBron a hilarious little house like Michael Jordan got in the first one? Why did they have to make gross, pseudo-photorealistic Looney Tunes? And how many of these familiar WB background characters were ripped right from their respective porno parodies? PLUS: Look out for Granny and her tight, cartoon pants in that Matrix world—yikes! Kanye West is moving the release of his long-awaited new album Donda to August 6, a representative for West tells Pitchfork. Media personality Justin Laboy and West collaborator Malik Yusef posted about the August release date last week; TMZ also previously reported an August 6 release date. Donda had been slated to come out on Friday, July 23, via G.O.O.D. Music and Def Jam Recordings. Kanye West premiered Donda during a listening event at Atlanta's Mercedes-Benz Stadium on July 22. The event streamed on Apple Music, too, and, according to TMZ, it broke the Apple Music Global Livestream record, with 3.3 million viewers tuning in to watch. Joel Osteen, an American preacher, and televangelist does not own a Ferrari.Social media attackers descended on him based on fake news. Pictures of the $325,000 Ferrari had surfaced on Twitter on Sunday, July 18. But as it turned out the pastor does not have such a car in his garage. A fact check by snopes.com has debunked the news, pointing out that the original purveyor of the news, the Houston Chronicle has deleted the news. Space Jam: A New Legacy is a 2021 American live-action/animated sports comedy film directed by Malcolm D. Lee, serving as a standalone sequel to Space Jam (1996). It is the first theatrically-released film to feature the Looney Tunes characters since Looney Tunes: Back in Action (2003), and is also a combination of live-action, traditional hand-drawn animation, and 3D CGI effects. The film stars basketball player LeBron James as a fictionalized version of himself, along with Don Cheadle, Khris Davis, Sonequa Martin-Green, and Cedric Joe in live-action roles while Jeff Bergman, Eric Bauza, and Zendaya headline the Looney Tunes voice cast. Set in a shared Warner Bros. virtual space multiverse, the film follows James teaming up with the Looney Tunes to win a basketball match against digitized champions to rescue his son from a rogue artificial intelligence (AI). In which the Mister and Monsters join me in reviewing SPACE JAM: A NEW LEGACY (2021), currently streaming on HBO Max and in cinemas now. Directed by Malcolm D. Lee with a script attributed to Juel Taylor, Tony Rettenmaier, Keenan Coogler , Terence Nance, Jesse Gordon and Celeste Ballard; the film follows a wayward algorithm (Don Cheadle) who kidnaps LeBron James' (yes that LeBron James) son (Cedric Joe) and LeBron must work with the Looney Tunes gang to save his son, restore order and learn something along the way. The film really excels at showcasing its IP towards the end of the film and this will be a treat for super little kids who will be enthralled by it. The film is rated PG and the run time clocks in at 1 h 55 m. Please note there are SPOILERS in this review. This week the gang is discussing a movie that no one was particularly excited about; Space Jam: A New Legacy. And its biggest proponent, Ify Nwadiwe, had the audacity to not be available to record this episode. But producer Casey fills in and does his best to speak on his behalf and the behalf of all those who have a nostalgic soft-spot for the original film. Plus, the crew answers a question from the ‘Hotline' about movies that they can no longer watch because of real-life events. And, as always, there's ‘Staff Picks.'In news, Nicolas Cage is done with studio films, the director of the new Anthony Bourdain documentary uses AI to artificially recreate the late chef's voice, and Spike Lee messes up the Palme D'or announcement at Cannes.Staff Picks:Drea – Sword of TrustAlonso – Who Framed Roger RabbitCasey – Clockwatchers and Office KillerWith Drea Clark, Alonso Duralde, and Casey O'Brien
Alright people, for tonight's episode, we're doing something completely different. And by we, I mean I. Chris is on a well deserved vacation, which left me by myself to review Space Jam: A New Legacy. And oh man, did we have a lot to talk about here. Space Jam: A New Legacy is a 2021 American live-action/animated sports comedy film directed by Malcolm D. Lee, serving as a standalone sequel to 1996's Space Jam. It is the first theatrically-released film to feature the Looney Tunes characters since Looney Tunes: Back in Action (2003), and is also a combination of live-action, traditional hand-drawn animation, and 3D CGI effects. The film stars basketball player LeBron James as a fictionalized version of himself, along with Don Cheadle, Khris Davis, Sonequa Martin-Green, and Cedric Joe in live-action roles, while Jeff Bergman, Eric Bauza, and Zendaya headline the Looney Tunes voice cast. Set in a shared Warner Bros. virtual space multiverse, the film follows James teaming up with the Looney Tunes to win a basketball match against digitized champions to rescue his son from a rogue artificial intelligence (AI). Talks for a Space Jam successor began after the release of the first film, which Joe Pytka would have returned to direct. Spike Brandt and Tony Cervone signed on as the animation supervisors, but eventually the deal fell through due to Michael Jordan's refusal to return. Several possible spin-offs focusing on other athletes, including Jeff Gordon, Tiger Woods, and Tony Hawk, were also discussed, but never came to fruition. After several years of languishing, a LeBron James-led sequel was officially announced in 2014 with filming under Terence Nance took place from June to September 2019 around Los Angeles. After a few weeks into filming, Nance left the project and Lee was hired to replace him in July 2019. Dom talks about the troubled path this film had on its way to the big screen, its similarities to the first one and ultimately how the same thing ultimately makes this more of a commercial than an actual film. It's all covered here on the #talkintvpodcast --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/talkintvpodcastgmailcom/support
JEFF BERGMAN, voice of Bugs Bunny in upcoming SPACE JAM: A NEW LEGACY and Yogi Bear in new HBO Max series JELLYSTONE!, premiering July 29thABOUT JELLYSTONE!, DEBUTING ON HBO MAX JULY 29thHey, Hey, Hey! Yogi Bear, Cindy Bear, Huckleberry Hound and a Universe of Hanna-Barbara Characters Welcome You to Jellystone! Yogi, Boo Boo and Cindy, alongside an epic ensemble cast of Hanna-Barbera characters, are returning to television screens in the all-new animated comedy, Jellystone! The Max Original series helmed by acclaimed showrunner and executive producer C.H. Greenblatt and produced by Warner Bros. Animation, presents a reimagined take on these beloved characters, modernizing them for today's family audience and introducing them to a new generation of fans. Season one premieres Thursday, July 29 on HBO Max.Set in the charming town of the same name, Jellystone! follows an ensemble of Hanna-Barbera characters as they live, work, play, and (as is often the case), destroy the town in some silly way together. Huckleberry Hound proudly serves as the town's mayor; Cindy, Boo Boo and Yogi are the town's medical staff; Jabberjaw works at Magilla's clothing store where they supply all the bow ties and hats to the town's citizens; and every character has a specific role in the community. Their paths cross in fun and ridiculous ways, turning everyday activities into hilarious pandemonium."I grew up watching tons of Hanna-Barbera cartoons and have a deep love for these characters," said Greenblatt. "The massive amount of both classic and not-so-classic characters we were able to use from the Hanna-Barbera library is what really makes the Jellystone! universe special. Rather than recreate the feeling of cartoons of the past, we wanted to have silly, weird fun with these characters and expand their personalities to give them more depth. Chances are if there's a character you love, you'll see them somewhere in this world eventually. We hope longtime fans appreciate our take on this world, and we're excited that parents get to introduce and enjoy their favorite Hanna-Barbera characters with their kids."Greenblatt serves as showrunner and executive producer, and voices several characters including Doggie Daddy, Boo Boo, Peter Potamus, and Benny. Joining him in this talented voice cast includes: Jeff Bergman, the voice of Yogi, Mr. Jinks, Wally Gator, and Lippy the Lion; Jim Conroy, the voice of Huckleberry Hound, Captain Caveman, and Pa Rugg, and more; Georgie Kidder, the voice of Auggie Doggie, Brain, and Floral Rugg; Grace Helbig, the voice of Cindy Bear, Yappy, Taffy, and Granny Sweet; Niccole Thurman, the voice of Jabberjaw, Squiddly Diddly, and Dee Dee Sykes; Thomas Lennon, the voice of Top Cat; Ron Funches, the voice of Shag Rugg; Bernardo de Paula, the voice of El Kabong and Mildew Wolf; Dana Snyder, the voice of Snagglepuss, Touché Turtle, and Lambsy; Katie Grober, the voice of Yakky Doodle; Paul F. Jeff Bergman, is such a talented voice actor that it was hard to not ask him a multitude of questions regarding all of the voices he's done over the years, but with Bugs it was important to tackle the main ones; like what that rabbit means to him. He also tells one of the best Mel Blanc stories I've ever heard and I'm so thrilled he chose to provide that on the show for you all to hear! Space Jam: A New Legacy stars LeBron James, Don Cheadle, Cedric Joe, Sonequa Martin Green, Zendaya, Jeff Bergman, Eric Bauza, Bob Bergen, Candi Milo and Jim Cummings. The film opens July 16th in Theaters and on HBOMax!
