Charlie Bleeker's life is unraveling—his writing career is stalled, his ex-wife is a cop who can't resist pulling him over, and his teenage son views him as a failure. When his reckless childhood friend Marcus proposes a dubious investment opportunity in Colombia, Charlie reluctantly agrees, setting off a chain of events that spiral hilariously out of control. From entanglements with a reformed cartel leader-turned-pastry chef to mishaps involving Pablo Escobar's pet rhino, Act One of Pablo's Rhino introduces a midlife crisis comedy where absurdity reigns and every decision leads to deeper chaos. Starring: Tim Friedlander as the Narrator Jim O'Heir as Charlie, the beleaguered writer seeking redemption Darin Toonder as Marcus, the thrill-seeking trust-fund playboy Jeff Bergman as Sam, a man embracing his true self amidst the madness Wayne Lopez as Pablo Escobar, the notorious crime lord with a surprising new passion Andrea Savo as Lucia, the sharp-witted detective entangled in the chaos Dustin Green and Holden Myers as DEA agents Knowles & Martinez, whose investigative efforts are as misguided as they are comical Keylor Leigh as Audrey, Charlie's no-nonsense ex-wife who keeps him grounded Lynette Coll as Maria Chung Escobar, the formidable power behind the throne Written by Craig Goodwill & Sam Ruano, Pablo's Rhino is an over-the-top, fast-talking, tequila-soaked thrill ride that blends midlife crises with international escapades, delivering a story as unpredictable as it is entertaining. Official Table Read Merch: https://thetablereadpodcast.myshopify.com/
Pablo's Rhino Welcome to the table read that makes international crime, midlife crises, and questionable decision-making look like an art form. A washed-up accountant, a cartel queen, two bumbling DEA agents, and—because why not—Pablo Escobar's pet rhino collide in a story so absurd, so wildly unpredictable, that even the characters can't believe they're in it. Performed by an all-star cast who bring every unhinged line to life with reckless abandon:
Act 2: The Jew Who Saved Christmas So, remember how Bernie accidentally roofied Santa? Yeah, things have escalated. Turns out, when you drug the guy who single-handedly runs Christmas, the universe hands you the reins of a magical sleigh and screams, “Good luck, schmuck!” Act 2 is Bernie's full-blown trial by (latke) fire as she fumbles her way through saving the holiday while Santa cycles between being zonked out and, uh, aggressively unhinged. With a sleigh that feels like it's held together by Hanukkah prayers and duct tape, Bernie somehow manages to deliver presents across the Midwest. We're talking rooftops, chimneys, and more near-death experiences than a Spirit Airlines landing. Along the way, she's got to wrangle her stoned passenger (Santa with candy cane nunchucks, anyone?), give some real talk to a tiny sad orphan about divorce (because therapy was booked), and dodge TSA agent Gimble, who's basically The Terminator if he hated joy instead of Sarah Connor. And let's talk about the chaos: reindeer meltdowns. An almost crash landing. Bernie's sudden realization that “wait, this sleigh doesn't have seatbelts??” This act is a disaster in the BEST way—like if Seth Rogen got to rewrite The Polar Express. And just when Bernie starts thinking, “Hey, maybe I'm good at this?”—the universe is like, “LOL, nah.” Cue Santa going full Maccabee berserker mode. And the cast? They're killing it: Jeff Bergman, Selyna Warren, Jim O'Heir, Marissa Read, John Milhiser, Kiel Kennedy, Tiffany Black, Carla Delaney, Ashley Bell, and David Jacks make this ride more fun than watching your drunk uncle try to carve the turkey. Everyone's bringing their A-game, delivering laughs sharper than Bernie's wit and just enough heart to keep you invested in this glorious dumpster fire of a Christmas tale. ✨Act 2 of The Jew Who Saved Christmas is snarky, chaotic, and unexpectedly sweet. It's everything you'd want in a holiday comedy—plus a little weed, some questionable decisions, and a lot of screaming. Who knew saving Christmas could be this messy—or this much fun?
Act 1: The Jew Who Saved Christmas Welcome to the holiday chaos you never knew you needed. Meet Bernie Gold—Spirit Airlines check-in clerk, reluctant adult, and connoisseur of bad decisions. It's Christmas Eve (or, as Bernie will remind you, the seventh night of Hanukkah), and while the rest of O'Hare Airport is brimming with holiday cheer, Bernie's slouching her way through TSA complaints, confiscated wine bottles, and unsolicited career advice from her aggressively optimistic co-worker, Eve. Bernie's life is a snow globe of dysfunction, and someone just shook it—hard. Enter a mysterious piece of "Miracle Gelt" that takes this night from mildly chaotic to “holy crap, is that actually Santa Claus in my parents' garage?” Let's just say Santa's not exactly in prime sleigh-piloting condition, and Bernie might've had something to do with it. What follows is a whirlwind of edible-fueled mishaps, family judgment, and a holiday disaster that's teetering on the edge of redemption. And the Cast? This lineup will make you laugh so hard you'll spill your eggnog: Jeff Bergman (@jeffbergmanofficial) – The voice legend who brings magic to every moment. Selyna Warren (@selynadoubleya) – Writer, star, and the kind of comedic genius that keeps you hooked. Jim O'Heir (@therealjimoheir) – The guy who stole your heart in Parks and Rec steals the show again. Marissa Read (@marissalread) – A double-duty powerhouse delivering laughs and heart. John Milhiser (@johnmilhiser) – Former SNL dynamo bringing the absurdity to life. Kiel Kennedy (@kielkennedy) – The gold standard of comedy chaos. Tiffany Black (@tiffanyblackness) – Pure holiday hilarity in human form. Carla Delaney (@voicesbycarla) – The kind of voice work that makes you laugh even when you don't want to. Ashley Bell (@ashleymichaelbell) – A scene-stealer who brings charm and mischief in equal measure. David Jacks – An actor who makes every moment count. ✨This isn't your cookie-cutter holiday story. It's raw, messy, ridiculously funny, and filled with just the right amount of holiday heart. Elevator Pitch: In Act 1 of The Jew Who Saved Christmas, you'll laugh, cringe, and maybe even tear up a little as Bernie Gold stumbles her way through a Hanukkah-Christmas mashup of biblical proportions. With sharp dialogue, hilariously flawed characters, and just enough holiday magic to keep you guessing, this is the start of a holiday tale that's anything but traditional—and we wouldn't have it any other way.

The Instagram Reached 10K followers! Thank you all who follow the show! This week's episode is all about the expansion of the Looniverse that was previewed during SDCC 2023! The Podcast was invited to the Indigo Ballroom where TWO FULL episodes of the new Tiny Toons Reboot, played for a very receptive audience! BuzzNav joins the show to break it all down and thankfully he experienced many of the same amazing things I did involving these cherished characters. The Tiny Toons Theme dropped online for all to see and it was glorious!! I equate it to the opening of Jurassic World! The surprise here is that the classic Looney roster will directly effect the plot of these Toony Adventures around Campus! Jeff Bergman who voices Foghorn Leghorn held his own panel on Sunday where he revealed he's dropping his own docuseries about the life of Mel Blanc and his legacy with the Looney Tunes! Mel Blanc was a voice-over legend, originating and playing, for decades until his death, the voices of all the Looney Tunes characters and many more for Warner Brothers. When he passed away in 1989, another voiceover actor would rise to continue his legacy. From Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Marvin, the Martian, Porky Pig, Elmer Fudd, Sylvester, Tweety, and so many more icons of animation, legendary voice actor Jeff Bergman has voiced them all in TV and film from the late 80s to today, along with other Looney Tunes voice actors like Eric Bauza. Fans may know Jeff Bergman from such hits as Tiny Toon Adventures (and its upcoming reboot Tiny Toons Looniversity), Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, The Looney Tunes Show, Space Jam: A New Legacy, Looney Tunes Cartoons, and much more. We had the privilege of speaking with Jeff Bergman at SDCC 2023. We spoke about his career, the legacy he carries in animation and specifically for Looney Tunes, and the importance of the Actors Strike and what it means for voice actors. We also get a message from Bugs Bunny!
Of Course You Realize THIS Means Podcast - A Looney Tunes Discussion
On this week's podcast, Mike Manolo returns to watch some brand promotions with The Looney Tunes dating all the way back to the 50's! During the Bugs Bunny Show, subsequently retitled, The Bugs Bunny and Road Runner Show; then finally The Bugs Bunny and Tweety Show, brand commercials were created to advertise Tang, Alphabits and Koo-laid to kids! Surprisingly these commercials are very well done, due a large part to the fact that Friz Freleng, Chuck Jones, Robert McKimsom and even Tex Avery returned to work on them! And of course Mel Blanc was there to provide those familiar voices. NEWS ACROSS THE LOONIVERSE: The award winning concert that was supposed to premier in Los Angeles in the new Peacock Theater has now been POSTPONED! We do not know when this will be resolved, but keep it right here for updates! The Tiny Toons Looniversity Panel has been transformed to just a screening at SDCC this year. We were supposed to have all of the newly announced cast take the stage, but now it'll just be a screening of the episodes. While we are bummed, we understand the reasoning and our hearts are with those SAG-AFTRA Members who worked on the show and are currently striking. The series is produced by Amblin Television in association with Warner Bros. Animation. GAY PUR-EE (1962) Dir. Abe Levitow Written by Dorothy Jones and Chuck Jones This release is set to include 3 Newly restored Looney Tunes cartoons; For Scent-imental Reasons, French Rarebit and Louvre Come Back. Two of those are Pepe LePew cartoons! THIS MEANS PROMOS: From line-dancing to LeAnn Rimes to sporting the latest flip phone in 2003, the Looney Tunes have sure made their way around the Brand Marketplace as promotion artists. The voice talent included Joe Alaskey, Mel Blanc, Jeff Bergman, Greg Burson and even Mel's son, Noel Blanc during these years of endorsment. From TARGET to WAL-MART and from KOOL-AID to TANG, the Looney Tunes sure could sell product. Something Dan Romanelli taught us a few years back when we was first on and sold carrot cake baked goods with Bugs' famous namesake. If you haven't seen these commercials, you're in luck! They're all on youtube and surprisingly in good quality! I highly recommend checking them out when you can. Something else they did surprisingly well was mix live action elements alongside the cartoon characters interacting with them. The techniques seen on display above helped filmmakers Robert Zemeckis and Steven Spielberg when they made Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988). Many of the commercials spoken about during this episode stemmed from The promotions in between the cartoons of The Bugs Bunny Show (1959-1969) Want to support the podcast? Kanye West is moving the release of his long-awaited new album Donda to August 6, a representative for West tells Pitchfork. Media personality Justin Laboy and West collaborator Malik Yusef posted about the August release date last week; TMZ also previously reported an August 6 release date. Donda had been slated to come out on Friday, July 23, via G.O.O.D. Music and Def Jam Recordings. Kanye West premiered Donda during a listening event at Atlanta's Mercedes-Benz Stadium on July 22. The event streamed on Apple Music, too, and, according to TMZ, it broke the Apple Music Global Livestream record, with 3.3 million viewers tuning in to watch. Alright people, for tonight's episode, we're doing something completely different. And by we, I mean I. Chris is on a well deserved vacation, which left me by myself to review Space Jam: A New Legacy. And oh man, did we have a lot to talk about here. Space Jam: A New Legacy is a 2021 American live-action/animated sports comedy film directed by Malcolm D. Lee, serving as a standalone sequel to 1996's Space Jam. It is the first theatrically-released film to feature the Looney Tunes characters since Looney Tunes: Back in Action (2003), and is also a combination of live-action, traditional hand-drawn animation, and 3D CGI effects. The film stars basketball player LeBron James as a fictionalized version of himself, along with Don Cheadle, Khris Davis, Sonequa Martin-Green, and Cedric Joe in live-action roles, while Jeff Bergman, Eric Bauza, and Zendaya headline the Looney Tunes voice cast. Set in a shared Warner Bros. virtual space multiverse, the film follows James teaming up with the Looney Tunes to win a basketball match against digitized champions to rescue his son from a rogue artificial intelligence (AI). Talks for a Space Jam successor began after the release of the first film, which Joe Pytka would have returned to direct. Spike Brandt and Tony Cervone signed on as the animation supervisors, but eventually the deal fell through due to Michael Jordan's refusal to return. Several possible spin-offs focusing on other athletes, including Jeff Gordon, Tiger Woods, and Tony Hawk, were also discussed, but never came to fruition. After several years of languishing, a LeBron James-led sequel was officially announced in 2014 with filming under Terence Nance took place from June to September 2019 around Los Angeles. After a few weeks into filming, Nance left the project and Lee was hired to replace him in July 2019. Dom talks about the troubled path this film had on its way to the big screen, its similarities to the first one and ultimately how the same thing ultimately makes this more of a commercial than an actual film. It's all covered here on the #talkintvpodcast --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/talkintvpodcastgmailcom/support
Jeff Bergman is a legend in the voiceover industry, particularly when it comes to cartoon animation. The first actor to replace Mel Blanc as the voice of Bugs Bunny and other Hanna-Barbera characters, Jeff has tips for fellow actors on recreating iconic animated characters—“I'm trying to capture the essence of the memory that I have, and maybe it's the memory that you have,” he reveals—plus getting your foot in the industry's door, keeping your voice healthy, and paying attention to what ignites your passion as an artist. In addition to Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Elmer Fudd, and many other Looney Tunes, Jeff has also lent his voice to “The Flintstones,” “The Jetsons,” “JellyStone,” “Despicable Me” and “Batman” films, and Showtime's animated satire “Our Cartoon President” as Donald Trump and Joe Biden. Alongside LeBron James, he now stars as Bugs and other voices in “Space Jam: A New Legacy” from Warner Bros and HBO Max. The Looney Tunes and a basketball star play a game of basketball. Sound familiar? Space Jam: A New Legacy stars basketball player LeBron James as a fictionalised version of himself, along with Don Cheadle, Khris Davis, Sonequa Martin-Green, and Cedric Joe in live-action roles, while Jeff Bergman, Eric Bauza, and Zendaya headline the Looney Tunes voice cast. Directed by Malcolm D. Lee, Space Jam: A New Legacy is the live-action / animated sports comedy film which serves as a standalone sequel to 1996's Space Jam. It is the first theatrically released film to feature the Looney Tunes characters since Looney Tunes: Back in Action (2003) and combines live-action, traditional hand-drawn animation, and 3D CGI effects. Superstar LeBron James and his young son, Dom, get trapped in digital space (a shared Warner Bros. virtual multiverse) by a rogue AI (Don Cheadle). To get home safely, LeBron teams up with Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and the rest of the Looney Tunes gang for a high-stakes basketball game against the AI's digitised champions of the court – a powered-up roster called the Goon Squad.

JEFF BERGMAN, voice of Bugs Bunny in upcoming SPACE JAM: A NEW LEGACY and Yogi Bear in new HBO Max series JELLYSTONE!, premiering July 29thABOUT JELLYSTONE!, DEBUTING ON HBO MAX JULY 29thHey, Hey, Hey! Yogi Bear, Cindy Bear, Huckleberry Hound and a Universe of Hanna-Barbara Characters Welcome You to Jellystone! Yogi, Boo Boo and Cindy, alongside an epic ensemble cast of Hanna-Barbera characters, are returning to television screens in the all-new animated comedy, Jellystone! The Max Original series helmed by acclaimed showrunner and executive producer C.H. Greenblatt and produced by Warner Bros. Animation, presents a reimagined take on these beloved characters, modernizing them for today's family audience and introducing them to a new generation of fans. Season one premieres Thursday, July 29 on HBO Max.Set in the charming town of the same name, Jellystone! follows an ensemble of Hanna-Barbera characters as they live, work, play, and (as is often the case), destroy the town in some silly way together. Huckleberry Hound proudly serves as the town's mayor; Cindy, Boo Boo and Yogi are the town's medical staff; Jabberjaw works at Magilla's clothing store where they supply all the bow ties and hats to the town's citizens; and every character has a specific role in the community. Their paths cross in fun and ridiculous ways, turning everyday activities into hilarious pandemonium."I grew up watching tons of Hanna-Barbera cartoons and have a deep love for these characters," said Greenblatt. "The massive amount of both classic and not-so-classic characters we were able to use from the Hanna-Barbera library is what really makes the Jellystone! universe special. Rather than recreate the feeling of cartoons of the past, we wanted to have silly, weird fun with these characters and expand their personalities to give them more depth. Chances are if there's a character you love, you'll see them somewhere in this world eventually. We hope longtime fans appreciate our take on this world, and we're excited that parents get to introduce and enjoy their favorite Hanna-Barbera characters with their kids."Greenblatt serves as showrunner and executive producer, and voices several characters including Doggie Daddy, Boo Boo, Peter Potamus, and Benny. Joining him in this talented voice cast includes: Jeff Bergman, the voice of Yogi, Mr. Jinks, Wally Gator, and Lippy the Lion; Jim Conroy, the voice of Huckleberry Hound, Captain Caveman, and Pa Rugg, and more; Georgie Kidder, the voice of Auggie Doggie, Brain, and Floral Rugg; Grace Helbig, the voice of Cindy Bear, Yappy, Taffy, and Granny Sweet; Niccole Thurman, the voice of Jabberjaw, Squiddly Diddly, and Dee Dee Sykes; Thomas Lennon, the voice of Top Cat; Ron Funches, the voice of Shag Rugg; Bernardo de Paula, the voice of El Kabong and Mildew Wolf; Dana Snyder, the voice of Snagglepuss, Touché Turtle, and Lambsy; Katie Grober, the voice of Yakky Doodle; Paul F.
