When he was 7 years old, a friend's father was in the entertainment business. Hanging out at rehearsals and on the tour buses sold Matt on the idea of being a musician, or at the very least, a drummer. All this lead to spending his high school years at Fort Hayes vocational school for music and Capital University Conservatory of Music for college studying under drum instructor Bob Breithaupt. The musical diversity in Columbus gave Matt the chance to play with many great players and learning many different styles – from Big Band (Vaughn Weister's Famous Jazz Orchestra) and Brazilian to Afro-Cuban and Fusion. All the while, he was doing his share of gigs with original rock bands and top 40 bands. Matt moved to Nashville in the summer of 1999. Working as a freelance drummer based in Nashville has taken him to all 50 states in the U.S. and most of Canada, as well as overseas to Europe, Asia, The Middle East and The Caribbean. As well as the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Matt has performed in great local venues like the Ryman Auditorium, Mercy Lounge, 3rd and Lindsley, The 5 Spot, The Sutler, The Basement, The Wildhorse Saloon, and many clubs on lower Broadway.  Matt has toured both regionally and nationally, with the Adam and Shannon Wright, Mark Selby, Eddy Raven, Billy Dean, Stephen Simmons, Three Lane, Whiskey Cash & Roses, Michelle Wright - (throughout Canada), Julie Roberts, and The Frontmen of Country which is Larry Stewart of Restless Heart, Richie McDonald of Lonestar, Tim Rushlow of Little Texas. From 2009 to 2017 Matt was the full time drummer for the band Savannah Jack. He played percussion on their first studio record in 2010 opposite Steve Ferrone on drums. For their second studio record in 2015, Matt was the drumset and percussion player in the studio. In the studio, Matt has had the pleasure of working with talented producers including Eric Fritsch, Teddy Morgan, Jim Reilley and Brent Maher. Artist he's recorded with in the studio have included Sheryl Crow, legendary songwriter Buzz Cason and actor Kevin Costner. In 2015, Matt started a podcast for drummers called "Working Drummer", an interview based podcast that maintains a focus on the drummer that makes a living at his or her craft. Along with the help of co-host Zack Albetta, the podcast has a growing audience throughout the world with more listeners every week. www.workingdrummer.net   *******SUBSCRIBE/RATE/REVIEW!!! www.richredmond.com/listen     The Rich Redmond Show is about all things music, motivation and success. In this episode of Daily Creative, we dive into the concept of generosity and how it can transform our professional and personal lives. Our guest, Mo Bunnell, author of the new book Give to Grow and founder of Bunnell Idea Group, joins us to discuss the distinction between doing the work and winning the work. Mo shares his insights on how being strategically generous can create raving fans and forge lasting professional relationships. We also explore practical strategies for infusing generosity into our everyday interactions and leadership, ensuring our efforts resonate deeply and generate meaningful connections.Key Learnings:1. Relationship Over Transaction: True professional success involves not just performing exceptional work, but also building lasting relationships by understanding the client's unique needs and priorities.2. Impact of Generosity: Small acts of generosity, like Billy Dean's 20 minutes at an airport, can humanize industries and leave a lasting impact on people, translating into long-term benefits.3. Strategic Giving: Being a strategic giver means giving without expecting anything in return but sizing the give relative to potential payoffs, thus maximizing positive outcomes without depleting resources.4. Effective Client Engagement: Using open-ended questions to engage clients in discussions about their dreams and needs helps in creating tailored solutions that resonate, rather than imposing pre-conceived ideas.5. Practical Phrasing: Simple phrases like, "Would it be helpful if..." can facilitate collaboration and make it easier for clients to say yes, ensuring more seamless and effective engagements.Get full interviews and daily content in the Daily Creative app at DailyCreative.app.

Cousin to the most famous singer to ever live, Jerry pays homage to Elvis as only family could ever do, and he stays true to all the details of an authentic Elvis concert, including an amazing live band. Jerry wears costumes replicating every last detail of those worn by Elvis; they're even made by the same company. With that signature Presley charm, he keeps audiences dazzled with his impeccable performance of songs from Elvis' unforgettable Madison Square Garden and Aloha from Hawaii concerts, as well as his beautiful gospel recordings. The show's schedule varies; you can choose from the two different concert performance tributes, or a show that highlights the gospel music that Elvis loved so much. Jerry's Elvis pedigree includes performing with the Jordanaires and former members of JD Sumner's Stamps Quartet, groups that worked with Elvis for years. Jerry Presley has gained his own loyal fan base over the years, especially in Branson where his performances date back to 1985, and where he's credited with performing Branson's first tribute to Elvis. I n addition to working with former Elvis band mates, "Jerry Presley" has enjoyed an amazing opening act career that included concerts by Mitch Ryder, Billy Dean, George Jones, Tanya Tucker, Tammy Wynette, The Coasters, and more. Whether you're a diehard Elvis fan, or you're just now becoming familiar with the unforgettable music of the King of Rock 'n Roll, this is the Elvis Presley tribute for you! And don't forget to hang around after the show; Jerry enjoys taking photos with fans and signing autographs. This week we welcome Mary Lou Turner and Jason Pritchett! Born in Hazard, Kentucky, Mary Lou Turner began her career as a regular on the famous Wheeling Jamboree radio show on WWVA in Wheeling, West Virginia. She began turning heads in 1974 with her first popular song, “All That Keeps Me Going”. She followed that success with several other songs that reached the top 50 on the U.S. Country Charts, including “It's Different With You”, “Love It Away”, and “Cheatin' Overtime”. Though a star in her own right, she may be best known for the duets she sang with Bill Anderson. The duo teamed up to produce hits in the top 25 on the U.S. Country Charts, including “I'm Way Ahead of You” and “Where Are You Going, Billy Boy”. The pair released “Sometimes” in 1976 which reached Number 1 on the Country Charts. That same year, she and Bill also released “That's What Made Me Love You” reaching number 7 with that hit. Mary Lou has performed in the theaters of Branson, Missouri for many years. She starred with both Boxcar Willie and Buck Trent, before joining the Grand Ladies of Country Music Show. She has a new album “A Sentimental Music Journey” recorded with the Heart Of Texas label. The album has 13 of Mary Lou's favorite songs including a duet with radio host, Dallas Wayne, of Sirius XM fame. Mary Lou commented, “ I've been singing since I was 12. I thought that a sentimental music journey was a good theme with some songs that are my favorites through the years. I also want to thank Tracy and Charla Pitcox for making this CD possible for the Heart Of Texas label. They are true friends to me and all of Country Music.” Mary Lou was awarded the “Living Legend” award during 2021 Branson Terry Awards Show. She and her husband, David, call the Ozarks home. For more information, visit her Facebook page. While growing up in Independence, Missouri, Jason Pritchett's whole life revolved around playing sports - football, basketball and baseball. His musical career didn't start until shortly after college. In 2002 Jason made the move to Branson where he got his first job in the “Echo Hollow Jubilee” at Silver Dollar City. Following Silver Dollar City he performed in several shows including “Lost In The 50's”, “Stuck On The 70's”, “50's At The Hop” and “Magnificent Country”. He joined the Grand Country family in 2007 and was the baritone singer for New South for several years. The high seas came calling for Jason and he spent some time performing on Carnival Cruise Lines. During that time he became a finalist on “America's Got Talent” (second season, 2007). After returning to Branson he became the music director for country recording artist Billy Dean. It was his musical relationship with Dean he got the opportunity to fulfill his lifelong dream and perform on the stage of the world-famous Grand Ole' Opry. After spending seven years with Dean, Pritchett got the opportunity to step out and front the band “Steel Horses,” and sign with Dean's label BDMG in 2015. The first week his song “Good Show,” which he co-wrote with Billy Dean, was released it topped out on the music charts at #16, making him the highest-debuting artist in 2017. It earned him “Red Carpet” status at the CMA Awards in Nashville, TN. These days, Jason is leading the charge for the NEW REVOLUTION of country music. Jason's first 5 radio songs have blazed into the top 40 charts in record time. In Jason's first week on the charts, he was the highest debuting artist with his single "Good Show" topping out at #16, earning him "Red Carpet" status at the CMA awards in Nashville TN. Jason has performed on tour, with performances opening for Randy Houser, Tyler Farr, Lee Brice, Thomas Rhett, Old Dominion, Chris Janson and Kelly Pickler to name a few..... Family has always been the most important aspect of his life. In August of 2009, Jason married the love of his life, Desta. She's a great singer and performer in her own right and you've seen her on some of your favorite Branson stages. Together they have three adorable children. When Jason isn't performing across the country, he and Desta can find you the perfect home or find a buyer for your home with their real estate business, Pritchett Team - Keller Williams Tri Lakes Realty. The podcast is back after a three month hiatus and what a great guest to return with. Kent Blazy was a young songwriter in Nashville but didn't have enough hits to quite make ends meet. So he opened a recording studio and recruited a stable of demo singers who would go on to become some of the biggest stars of 1990s country music and beyond: Joe Diffie, Faith Hill, Martina McBride, Billy Dean...and some guy named Garth Brooks, including If Tomorrow Never Comes which was a song idea Garth had that had already been turned down 25 times before he brought it to Kent. It was the first song they wrote together, but it would not be the last.  See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
