Vitalii Mykolenko has officially put pen to paper on a new three-year contract extension, committing his future to the Blues until June 2029! While it secures our left-back situation ahead of a massive transfer window, the announcement has sparked a major divide among Evertonians on social media. EXCLUSIVE NordVPN Deal ➼ https://nordvpn.com/efc Try it risk-free now with a 30-day money-back guarantee In this episode of the Royal Blue Podcast, Ian Croll and Gavin Buckland sit down to dissect this early piece of summer business and dive deep into the ultimate Mykolenko debate. Is Mykolenko given a bad rap by Everton fans? We look at his defensive attributes—ranking among the Premier League's top tacklers and interceptors—and ask if the criticism over his attacking output in the final third is justified or completely overblown. Does He Deserve More Respect? Since arriving from Dynamo Kyiv in January 2022, Mykolenko has been a durable, unchallenged regular who put his head down through grueling relegation battles. With 157 appearances under his belt, has he earned more credit than he gets? The Ceiling Debate: Is he good enough to take Everton to the next level? As the club aims to push past mid-table mediocrity and fight for European football, is the Ukrainian a reliable foundation piece, or should the club be aiming for a higher-caliber upgrade?
Crystal Palace have finally arrived on the European stage! In this special episode, Terence takes listeners right into the heart of Lublin, Poland, where he caught up with Palace fans before and after the club's historic first ever European match. Crystal Palace delivered a composed European performance, claiming a 2-0 win over Dynamo. Muñoz powered home a header to set the tone, and Nketiah's clinical strike put the game beyond reach. Palace's defence looked solid throughout, limiting Dynamo to scraps and late half-chances. Even with Borna Sosa dismissed, the Eagles controlled proceedings. It was a disciplined, confident display abroad — the kind of result that makes Palace believe they belong on this stage.Support this show http://supporter.acast.com/holmesdaleradio. Hosted on Acast. Crystal Palace stretched their unbeaten run to 18 games – and did it against the champions of England, finishing the weekend sitting third in the Premier League. What a time to be alive. Hesketh tuned in from Austin, Terence brought his son to Selhurst for the very first time, and Albert had the perfect view from the Whitehorse Lane End as Palace delivered one of their finest halves of football against Liverpool. We break down the match, chuckle at a journalist's laughable 2/10 match rating for Kamada, and look ahead to Dynamo Kyiv in Poland – plus plenty more along the way. Hosted on Acast. Crystal Palace head into their first European outing full of swagger — 18 games unbeaten and buoyed by a late winner over Liverpool. Facing Dynamo Kyiv in Poland (yes, Poland — courtesy of the war), the Eagles will be fancying their chances. Dynamo have stumbled in Europe lately. Barcelona just got their first goal and first points in the 2021/22 Champions League campaign on Wednesday against Dynamo Kyiv. For the first time in their entire history, the Catalan giants had to wait for the third game of the Champions League season to record a goal or a point. In his first year, 2009, he gave Barcelona their first treble and became the first-ever coach to win 6 trophies in a year. It was a phenomenal period. Barcelona was unstoppable. Even when they were down, you just got the feeling that they would somehow eventually win. People even got tired of Barcelona's league games because it felt like they just always won. But surely, the fans never got tired. They looked forward to every game with excitement and confidence. They wanted that to last forever. This was why when Pep Guardiola made that infamous statement in his final season with the club, which didn't exactly sit well with the fans.
