Tras la derrota en la final de la Supercopa comenzábamos nuestra participación en Euroliga este año contra un rival en principio no muy complicado, la temporada que haga la Virtus a final de año así valorará el tipo de rival que era, y que no pudo empezar peor. Llegábamos a Bolonia con bastantes dudas tras el primer fin de semana de competición en Málaga y el partido en Italia prácticamente no pudo ser peor, casi una continuación del último cuarto contra Valencia y derrota sin excusas. Mal en casi todos los aspectos con especial énfasis en el desastroso porcentaje en triples. Con eso recibíamos a Olympiakos dos días después y las caras que casi todos teníamos eran de oler una paliza en ese partido y justo todo lo contrario, empezaron a salir las cosas bastante bien (la verdad, lo de Bolonia era casi imposible de empeorar) y firmamos un partido más que decente, muy bueno diremos incluso con un marcador más abultado de lo reflejado en pista pero que nos alegra muchísimo, Desde la defensa sobre todo en la segunda parte y de la mano de Kramer en ese sentido supimos llevarnos el partido y darle un impulso al proyecto. Todo esto reafirmado el domingo en casa contra el Granca en ACB jugando un partido muy serio y coral ¿Será que el Gominolo Team empieza a carburar? Piezas hay para ello así que, que el trabajo y las victorias sigan fructificando y afianzando al equipo.

Last year Greece's two biggest teams achieved big triumphs at the European level, with Panathinaikos winning the Euroleague in basketball, and Olympiakos winning the Conference League in soccer. While this year didn't deliver any major silverware, we stll saw important runs for both teams. At the same time, the Greek national team in soccer has many fans excited for what lies ahead as it sets out to qualify for next year's World Cup.
