Part Two of our conversation with Change Agent Eric G. Reid discusses David Patterson’s War on Self-Sabotaging Terrorism, the Weapons of our Warfare, 10 Things You Can Do to Boost Your Confidence and Courage and the impact made on Eric’s life by growing up in the home of a German, Lutheran, Mechanical Engineer. This interview will give you specific steps towards Living Life with Success. Ephesians 6:10-21
Change Agent Eric G. Reid believes that success in any area of life starts with mastering your habits and controlling your mindset. The journey towards that discovery was sparked by an assumptive statement made by his young son. From that moment, Eric discovered the importance of writing a Success Vision Statement; developing an Identity of Worthiness; and the reason for people becoming stuck in The Cycle of Success and Failure. If you’re looking for strategies in living a more balanced life, growing a profitable business or acquiring an enriching employment experience, stop settling for less and listen to this episode. “There is no fear of failure. People have a fear of success because of what it requires to remain at that level of success.” — Eric G. Reid
"A commitment is a covenant, in a way. Before I make that commitment, I better understand the full cost because I can't release myself from a commitment, only the other person or party can. Having those commitments with discipline and consistency is what will grow your business much faster than the slick logo, tagline, or pretty website. If you show up and do average every single day for 1000 days, you will beat out the guy who spends $1000 one Facebook ads trying to boost his popularity." — Eric G. Reid
In this episode, Lance and Eric G Reid discussed how victim mentality can hold people’s success back. They also unpacked cool things about how important beliefs are in someone’s future success. Eric also shared the difference between wishing and wanting, and the mentality behind those words. Lastly, he imparted tips on how to set goals and making them real.WHAT IS ONE LESSON YOU HAVE LEARNED FROM ADVERSITYEric G answered, “Adversity is only temporary, and the timeline on how long is up to me.” IN THIS EPISODE, YOU WILL LEARN:
Often we start out with the best of intentions, whether in a business sense, or a personal one., We set goals for ourselves, and make promises to reach certain marks by certain times. But life happens. Sometimes we don’t get there. And this can lead to sense of failure and self-doubt. Commitment is the key, says Eric G. Reid, success coach and speaker, who joins Paul today to discuss the sense of worth we can achieve if we remain committed. ABOUT THE GUEST Eric G. Today I want to talk about Align Yourself To Success I have had to do a lot of belief shifting on the idea of “achieving” and "success" and what that meant for me. In the world I grew up in, I was conditioned to want more, have more and be more. This constant energy of more created a sense that who I was and what I had was somehow not enough. Therein lies the “achievement” trap that was killing me, the never-ending hamster wheel I found myself running on which was exhausting and unfulfilling. I started to ask myself "What would it look like if we changed the hamster wheel analogy and replaced it with a path a journey?" That was when I started thinking about building a Life of Success and learning to live in Alignment. Guess what I now feel calmer and more excited about walking that path and feeling energized and excited to see what is up ahead while enjoying the view along the journey. Join me on the Success Life radio episode as I talk about Achievement vs. Alignment Learn more about Eric G Reid at www.ericgreid.com Follow with @ericgreid

Who wants to be happy? Well, who doesn't? After a coaching session this morning, it struck me that when we focus on chasing our wants, our level of happiness actually drops. The more we focus on what we don't have, the more deprived we feel. After all, inherent in the meaning of "wanting" is not having, and you cannot feel fulfilled while you focus on what you lack. That is a fundamental principle of all spiritual thinking. So, here's the fix: If you want to be happy, be grateful for what you have. Focus on that. First Then start to ask yourself - what is it I "want" about this thing or experience? What will happen if I pass on it? We have all had that experience that we wanted something so badly that all things stoped until we acquired it ... only to be disappointed.
Have you ever had a feeling that there is more to life? That feeling that creeps over as you face another traffic-filled commute, or sit in the endless pickup line at school. Well, all have heard the expression time is short live each moment. But How? How do we live fully into the space between our first breath and our last? Author Jess A Cruz will share with us form his newly released book, — LIVE YOUR DASH — Discovering the 8 F’s to Freedom Live Your Dash explores the idea of living your dash. Your dash is that time from when you take your first breath until your last. You know that dash we have seen on tombstones. ? What does it mean to be truly all-in? We say things like “I am all in on this one” or I am leaving nothing on the sidelines” or “this is all or nothing time”. I had made the statement the other day to a friend battling cancer that it sounded like she had to learn to “surrender all”. Which is what sparked this idea of what is “ALL”. I know what all means but what I started to think about is what does it look like when you really go all in for a dream and idea a desire.
One Arm But Not Unarmed - Suzan Nguyen My guest today shares her journey of moving from Bitter to Better. Suzan Nguyening is a Life Coach helping people overcome adversity, Speaker, and Author of ‘One Arm But Not Unarmed’. Suzan experienced a life altering event after a traumatic car accident. In waking up from this near-death experience, she was introduced to her new self, with the loss of her right arm. FUN FRIEND FRIDAY Bob Kittridge is Owner of Kittridge Connection, Inc. His passion is working with people who are stuck at their current level of success. He guides them on a journey of discovering and defining a vision for the next level of success. As the guide, he assists to create alignment with the beliefs needed to achieve that vision. We all get stuck We all have obstacles we need to get past to live our life of success How is a choice
“The first step toward greatness is to be honest.” Proverb Humble Honesty Is the starting point of success Honesty is not just about telling the truth. It’s about being real with yourself and others about who you are, what you want, and what you need to live your most authentic life. Honesty promotes openness, empowers us, and enables us to develop consistency in how we present the facts. Honesty sharpens our perception and allows us to observe everything around us with clarity. The opposite of honesty is deception — or lying. The worst type of lying we practice, in order to deceive, is when we lie to ourselves. We start messing around with our concept of morality, right and wrong, as well as our dreams and desires. When we lie, we are trying to excuse or misrepresent my shortcomings or to compensate for something. Success, for me, is not quantified in terms of dollars, sales, or the number of Facebook followers. Particularly not the latter! I value success in terms of character, self-awareness, honesty, emotional intelligence, and hard work. How we treat ourselves, others, and how we use our talents to improve the lives of others. The Challange for today Start today, first, by being as honest as you can with yourself. Be honest about your thoughts, words, actions, and wants. Then think about your interaction with society and your relationships. Are you letting people know your true self? If not, what are you afraid of?
Are you struggling to turn your business into a PROFITABLE Business? Did you start a Dream Business that is turning into a nightmare? Are you feeling lost in the "just another one" market? If you silently said yes to any of these then be here tomorrow for Fun Friend Friday Join us for Fun Friend Friday with Jill Ann Anderson Today we deep dive into adding the element of profit to your passion based business. Building your business has to focus on building a profitable business if you want to impact the world This is a live teaching of finding your passion and converting that into a marketable message that will move you from a Hobbist to Bussiness Builder
Success is an abstract concept, almost as difficult to define as it is to achieve. To make matters worse, in our world of ultra-connectedness and changing priorities, the traditional path of success is changing all the time. Was it a successful year? What is a successful week or for that matter a successful day? Do you feel as though you accomplished what you wanted at the end of each day? Where did you fall short? And perhaps most importantly, how can you make tomorrow even more successful? In order to build a life of success, we have to start out seeking success. Not success in the sense of that end of life big gold watch with a nice retirement package. Instead we have to look at each day as an opportunity to create Sucesss.
Jill Ann Anderson is the Director of Marketing at the John Maxwell Team and all this week she is dropping -in to teach us how to build a purpose/passion based business and lifestyle from our playbook. Today she covered understanding Mindset - Message and Marketing and then gave us the homework assignment of tapping into our passions with the question "What makes you cry?" "Why?" To have a successful business we have to operate from our passion in order to connect to others. Tune in and be ready to take notes
Does your current morning routine consist of hitting the snooze button four times and walking out the door five minutes later as you put on your shoes and eat a protein bar, all while checking email on your phone? From that point on, our entire day can feel like we're always trying to rush and catch up, never really feeling on top of our game or very productive. We can do better! Many of us are busy, have a lot of responsibilities and obligations, and often feel strapped for time. Having a great morning routine can make all the difference in being productive, achieving goals, feeling organized, and doing all of this with confidence. Creating a Heatly Morning Habits is not focused on who can accomplish the most or check off more boxes than everyone else, it is about allowing yourself to begin your day with confidence, peace, and a positive attitude.
Is it time to Ferris Bueller? Pulling a Bueller is my term for; Play hooky (verb): Skipping school, missing classes, taking an extended lunch, skipping out of work for the day/afternoon just to have fun. Do things that do not feel like work. Eat ice cream. Or Rice Dream. Do headstands. Walk barefoot. Watch old movies. Read a book cover to cover. Don't answer the phone. Go hiking without a plan. Go visit a dog shelter, and walk the dogs. Watch the sunset. Drink a margarita. Or two. Get a pedicure. Go on a date. Write a poem. Do karaoke. Cook. Order take-out. Volunteer at the homeless shelter. Play with a frisbee. Sit under a tree. Get lost in a bookstore. Write a thank you note and a love letter. Whatever it is, do things that do not feel heavy. Do things that are not chores or work. Do not respond to work emails or stalk someone on Facebook or scrub the toilet… unless scrubbing the toilet brings you joy. If that is the case, please text me: I have plenty of joy to be had here at my house.
Thank you for joining me today for this podcast and brief guided mindfulness meditation to cultivate joy. Although it may not always feel like it, joy can be your choice rather than a condition of if something happens or if you get something, then you experience joy. For today, let go of the “I’ll be happy when…” mindset. See your joy as available to you just on the other side of a door, you simply need to open it and let joy into your heart. Today, bring joy intentionally into your world and heart. Find ease in stressful or challenging times and spread joy to your loved ones and around the world. We hope you enjoy! ??I invite you to make yourself comfortable . . . Today here at Success Life Radio, you are an oasis where you can come to tap into your inner peace, positive mindset, and heal from the stress that’s blocking your fulfillment. Relax and enJOY.
I apologize to all my friends for being missing in action this last week. I needed to take some time off to deal with something that needed all my attention. I got so bogged down that everything else simply got sidelined. All my wonderful discipline streaks just came to a screeching halt. No Consistency Award for the last few weeks for me! And, I realize I'm going to have to start over to earn your trust and following. Amazing how quickly things can fall apart. I do know, though, that I can, and will, start over. What I know is that as you go bigger what got you to where you are is not going to hold up under the added stress of what comes next and you better have a plan in place before poop hits the fan. Today I am sharing a bit of what happened and a lot of what I learned in the process. Enjoy. And tune in next week - I be here PROMISE

The Six Human Needs Why we do what we do. Understanding what drives us and others. How is it that one person will dive headlong into a burning building risking life and another will lay awake at night trying to figure out the deepest and darkest way of getting even with an office mate who took the last sprinkle donut? What creates a villain or a superhero? What is the force or forces that drive human behaviors? Today on Success Life Live radio with Host and Coach Eric G Reid we will unpack the 6 human needs we all have and how they shape our actions.
Frustration can kill a dream. It happens all the time. Something doesn't go as planned, we miss a day at the gym, we have a strong lead become someone else's client or spouse starts to lose faith in us. Frustration can change a positive attitude about a dream that had once been filled with passion to become a deflated balloon on the floor just waiting to be swept away. Success requires that we learn how to use the frustration and rejection to power our dreams to fuel our hopes and keep us in the game longer than any of the competition. Today I want to talk to you about how to get past the roadblocks and win.
What is a belief? How are our beliefs formed and how do our beliefs affect our success? Your beliefs have the power to create and the power to destroy. Most of us have sent little or no time looking at our beliefs and separating our old worn out useless beliefs from our current story. Our Beliefs live in that space just below our awareness yet affect everything we do and dream. Today I am going to share a few empowering beliefs you should try on and see how they fit, compared to those old worn out overused false beliefs you have been carrying around for so long
As high performers, goal seekers, big dreamers, we know that whatever we focus on, we will find a way to achieve. The challenge so many of us face, however, is in finding balance. I know you are going to say but Coach Eric you said balance is not an achievable goal. True and False. Full balance is impossible but balance over the course of a day or week or even a year is possible and should be the goal. Even the most successful people acknowledge a gap between where they are and where they really want to be. They may have strong business or careers and little or no intimate relationships or great physical fitness and week weak financial discipline. To build an extraordinary life requires we strength all area of our life. That we are as mindful about our health as we are about our wealth. To do that we need to understand the seven areas and the way they work together in a successful life. #ericgreid #successlife #business #Life #coach
What is a Breakthrough? A breakthrough is that moment when everything changes. When what seemed impossible suddenly becomes possible. That moment you no longer settle for anything less that Success. Breakthroughs are the reason we see some people succeed and others become stuck. So can you create a breakthrough? Why do I feel like I had a breakthrough only to end up back where I was before? Join me today as we unpack the 3 critical elements of creating your next breakthrough.
Do you know what the one single factor is that shapes and controls your ultimate destiny? It is not your age, your race, your gender or what you did yesterday or ten years ago. No, it is the decisions you are making or not making right now. Most people this that the past equals the future. The truth is it yesterdays impact on tomorrow is about the choices and decisions you are making today. Over the years I have coached clients to focus on three core decision each day. 1) what are you focused on 2) what does it mean 3) what are you going to do? If your ready to learn how to take control of your destiny then make a decision to hit play now. #ericgreid #success #life #coaching #business
As a coach, I met with people all the time who talk about wanting a transformed life and struggle to make it happen. What is the common deniminator among leaders and those living a life of success? After coaching some very successful individuals and teams he is what I have learned. They use the emotions of hunger and drive to compel them to where they want to go. The swim upstream while others are floating downstream, they see the impossible as in the possible. Hunger and Drive allow them to take a by all means approach to life and goals. Today lets talk about these 3 keys: Standards Beliefs Strategy If you are ready to start living your extraordinary life of success hit play and let's go. #ericgreid #success #successlife #coaching #business
Learning To Be Present is a skill we must all master in order to live our Lives of Success. Study after study shows that when people try to do two or more things simultaneously (i.e. Multitask), they do neither at full capacity, in fact, they really only do each of the "two" tasks at 40% and overall IQ performance drops by 10 points. The idea that you can give 100% to more than one task or event is false and in truth, it disconnects us from living our highest and best self. Building a Life of Success is about being fully present with each event in our life. It is about giving 100% into the task at hand and the people we are with. If your ready to learn how to become fully present and avoid the perils of distractions hit play and let's go. #coaching #ericgreid #successlife #lifecoaching #successcoaching #success

There are two factors that motivate people to do what they do: the desire to avoid pain or the desire to gain pleasure. This principle is that causes the "yo-yo pattern" in some people; they go back and forth between taking action to create change and losing their drive to take any action at all. If you want to create permanent and consistent change, the key is to develop a new set of patterns of how to get out of the pain and into the pleaser. We must use pain to motivate and pleasure to inspire us and keep the teeter toter in check .

Productivity How Are You Measuring Up. Eric G Reid We often talk about improving productivity in personal growth and business development, but what does that mean? How do you measure productivity? And is that something you should even be doing? Calculating productivity is as simple as making a quick calculation of output divided by input. But is it the right thing to measure? Does it give you an accurate picture of performance? We have to understand that we have seasons of productivity and have to realize that not all productivity looks the same. Productivity will look very different when you are in a time of growth vs. transition vs. recovery. And not all areas of our life will be "performing" at the same level of production. Our business successes may look very different than our fitness or finical success. Check out www.ericgreid.com/blog later today to read Productivity How Are You Measuring Up.
Our live interview with Greg Storch Time for Fun Friend Friday with special guest Greg Storch Today on Fun Friend Friday with Greg Storch we talked about things like the problem with social media is we see everyone else's highlight reel while we compare it to our behind the scenes Goal setting and achieving the dream of living as an expat in Italy. It's been said, The secret of health for both mind and body is not to mourn for the past, worry about the future, but to live in the present moment wisely and earnestly.” Well, I had to take time off to live life and get somethings done and figured out and podcasting was not on the top of the to-do list. Don't get me wrong I did not come to a full stop in my business. Quite the opposite, used the last few months to make major shifts and knew that when the time was right I would be back to podcasting. So this podcast talks a little about all that and more about what Success Life is. I open the lid, so to speak, on what Success Life Radio was, is and will be. So subscribe, follow, like, whatever it is you need to do to join the journey. Also join me weekday mornings at 8:00 est on facebook for Sucess Life Live (facebook.com/ericgreid)

Time is like money. How or what you spend is a direct reflection on what you value. When you decide to spend an hour watching TV, you have spent that unit of time, based on what is valuable or has the highest ROI right now for that unit of time to you. You started the day with the same number of units in your time bank. Be it in munites or hours you had the same number as everyone else So when you get to the end of the day and have that feeling of exhaustion with nothing to show for it. Look around you have been a victim of "time robbers". Today I will point out the top 5 external and internal time robbers and how to take control of them Need more information contact me at Info@ericgreid.com
