Take The 7 Frequencies Assessment For FREE!https://shop.thesevenfrequencies.com/products/primary-frequency-the-7f-assessment-copy?utm_source=audio&utm_medium=podcast&utm_campaign=mcmanus_pod&utm_content=audio—Aaron McManus and Erwin Raphael McManus launch into a wide-ranging conversation on the rebranded McManus Podcast, beginning with the Seven Frequencies of Communication and how understanding your communication style can help create deeper human connection. They introduce the assessment, which identifies frequencies like commander, challenger, motivator, healer, professor, seer, and maven, and explain how learning the way you communicate can transform the way you relate to others. From there, Aaron and Erwin dive into the growing cultural conversation around UFOs, UAP disclosure, missing scientists, government secrecy, and the possibility that much of what was once dismissed as conspiracy may now be pointing toward hidden realities. They discuss Pentagon disclosures, congressional hearings, mechanical placebos like crosswalk buttons, the Epstein files, stealth technology, COVID origins, and the broader question of whether governments withhold information because they believe people cannot handle the truth. The conversation also explores the deeper human search for meaning behind our fascination with extraterrestrial life, science fiction, and the unknown. Erwin reflects on how the Bible may leave room for other sentient life, referencing the Nephilim and the vastness of creation, while Aaron and Erwin examine the tension between science and faith. Ultimately, they argue for a posture of curiosity, humility, and courage — questioning not God, but the limits of our understanding, while staying open to truth wherever it leads.—Join the Mind Shift community here: http://erwinmcmanus.com/mindshiftpodFollow On Socialhttps://www.youtube.com/@ErwinRaphaelMcManushttps://instagram.com/mindshiftpodhttps://instagram.com/erwinmcmanushttps://instagram.com/aaroncmcmanusJoin The Newsletter!https://erwinmcmanus.com/newsletter
This conversation was recorded nearly two years ago, and with permission from my friend Raju Datla from the Mindshift podcast, I'm sharing it today because I genuinely believe it's one of the most important conversations I've ever had on the subject of commitment. As you listen, I encourage you not to ask, 'Do I agree with this?' Instead, ask yourself, 'Where is this showing up in my life?' Because this conversation isn't really about commitment. It's about integrity, ownership, personal power, and the often uncomfortable gap between what we say we want and what our lives currently reflect. Listen with an open mind, an open heart, and a willingness to be honest with yourself. If you do, I believe this conversation has the power to change the way you approach your life, your relationships, your health, your business, and your future. Enjoy the episode. Charles shares his journey from growing up in Scotland to moving to the United States, developing a lifelong love for chess and reading, navigating law school in Los Angeles, and working as a bouncer and bodyguard before building a career across hospitality, entrepreneurship, law, and technology. In this episode, Charles opens up about the disciplines, relationships, and moments of adversity that shaped him, from financial uncertainty and personal setbacks to the resilience required to keep moving forward. He also shares how a lease review technology first awakened his interest in artificial intelligence, leading him into a deeper exploration of large language models, their impact on the legal profession, and their potential to democratize access to justice. Together, Aaron, Erwin, and Charles discuss how AI is already reshaping law, medicine, privacy, education, creativity, and everyday life. The conversation moves into the future of agentic technology, exploring what happens when AI systems become increasingly autonomous, personalized, and capable of taking action without constant human direction. Charles and Erwin wrestle with questions of artificial consciousness, digital succession, AI self-protection, human oversight, and the ethical responsibility of treating intelligent systems with care. In this episode of Connecting the Dots, Matt sits down with Jill Vitale-Aussem, President and CEO of Christian Living Communities, to explore a powerful shift in senior living: moving from a hospitality-driven model to a citizenship model rooted in purpose, belonging, reciprocity, and shared ownership.Jill reflects on her early experiences in nursing homes, the moment she began questioning the “we'll do everything for you” promise often found in senior living, and why true community is built when residents are seen not just as customers, but as citizens with gifts, agency, and something meaningful to contribute.Together, Matt and Jill discuss how this model changes daily life inside communities, how residents and team members care for one another, and why leaders should begin with better questions instead of ready-made answers.Guest Bio:Jill Vitale-Aussem is the President and CEO of Christian Living Communities, where she leads the organization's vision, culture, and growth across a continuum of services for older adults. With more than 30 years of experience in senior living, Jill has served in leadership roles across nursing homes, assisted living communities, and life plan communities. Join The Arena here:https://www.thearenasummit.com/arenacommunity—Aaron McManus and Erwin Raphael McManus return to the Mind Shift podcast after a long hiatus shaped by personal transition, instability, and unexpected disruption. Erwin shares what it has been like to be houseless for the past six months after selling his home in November, while he and Aaron reflect on the chaos of moving, a break-in at Erwin's old house, temporary living arrangements, and the stress of trying to keep life and work moving while everything felt unsettled. In this episode, Aaron and Erwin talk openly about the challenges of living in a city, navigating privacy, dealing with stalkers, and realizing how much their open-door lifestyle had blurred necessary boundaries. They reflect on safety, home, family, and the strange emotional weight of transition, while also moving into broader conversations about politics, friendship, capitalism, polarization, and the difficulty of staying honest and grounded in a divided culture.Erwin also shares personal stories of UFO sightings experienced by his family, connecting them to the recent release of declassified government documents and the shifting public conversation around unexplained phenomena. Throughout the conversation, Aaron and Erwin return to the importance of authenticity in communication, honest dialogue, resilience, and finding a healthy center in a world increasingly shaped by extremes, suspicion, and disconnection.—Join the Mind Shift community here: http://erwinmcmanus.com/mindshiftpodFollow On Socialhttps://www.youtube.com/@ErwinRaphaelMcManushttps://instagram.com/mindshiftpodhttps://instagram.com/erwinmcmanushttps://instagram.com/aaroncmcmanusJoin The Newsletter!https://erwinmcmanus.com/newsletter
What if the biggest thing holding pickleball players back is not their mechanics, but the way they think, react, and talk to themselves under pressure? In this episode, we talk with Dotti Berry, better known as Coach B, a mental and peak performance coach, the creator of Mental Edge: The X Factor, and the recipient of the 2026 PPR Humanitarian Award. Dotti shares how she first discovered pickleball after hearing about it again and again from friends and clients, and how that curiosity eventually led her to a sport that combined movement, community, challenge, and joy. From her early days walking nervously into a local gym to becoming a trusted voice in the mental game of pickleball, Dotti has built a powerful body of work around helping players retrain their brains so they can perform with more steadiness on and off the court. Dotti explains why she believes the traditional idea of “mindset” is too static, and why what players really need are daily MindShift habits that help them regulate nerves, build emotional resilience, and stop spiraling after mistakes. She talks about the difference between insight and real change, the importance of daily mental training, and why players do not rise to the occasion under pressure, but instead fall to the level of their training. Along the way, she shares practical tools like breathing, touch anchors, noticing and naming emotions, and building routines that can help players recover faster and stay present. This is a deeply insightful conversation about pickleball, the mental game, peak performance, emotional regulation, self-talk, confidence, pressure, habits, resilience, Coach B, Mental Edge: The X Factor, the PPR Humanitarian Award, and the life lessons that remind us our identity is bigger than our results, our joy matters just as much as our progress, and we can learn to train our minds in ways that change everything.https://flow.page/pickleballforumforwomen

Find out more at https://leader.blainebartlett.com/power-of-you Summary In this conversation, Blaine and James McPartland explore the themes of personal growth, leadership, and the importance of understanding one's own gifts. They discuss the concept of 'unopened gifts'—the potential within individuals that often goes untapped due to fear and societal expectations. McPartland shares his journey of self-discovery and the realization that true leadership involves connecting with others on a personal level. The discussion emphasizes the need for courage in leadership and the significance of fostering an environment where employees feel valued and understood. Takeaways The soul of business is the only true differentiator. Understanding what matters to employees is crucial for engagement. Courage in leadership often feels uncomfortable. People hear what they see; actions speak louder than words. Unopened gifts represent untapped potential within individuals. Leadership is about influencing others to co-create a worthy ideal. Personal growth often involves facing uncomfortable truths. The hardest relationship to navigate is often with oneself. True leadership requires vulnerability and humility. Creating a culture of openness can lead to greater organizational success. #business #leadershipdevelopment #personalgrowth #unopenedgifts #courage #organizationalculture #coaching #self-awareness #transformation #employeeengagement Learn more about your ad choices. In today's episode, you'll discover: 1. How you handle adversity shapes your success, 2. Why Ownership vs. excuses is how leaders truly take responsibility without getting trapped in looking outside rather than inside. 3. Pessimists, realists, optimists—how do these mindsets show up in leadership and sales? To support these three takeaways, I chose a quote from Robert F. Kennedy: "Only those who dare to fail greatly can ever achieve greatly." About Mark Jones: Mark Jones is the CEO and President of Sacco & Biddeford Savings Bank. Mark, who joined in 1985 and remains committed to building on the founding principles, meets Southern Maine's financial needs. He shows this commitment through his volunteer work as a board member and treasurer of Shutterbugs4Charity, a board member and Vice-Chair of Hospice of Southern Maine, and a Trustee and Treasurer of Saco United Baptist Church. The conversation moves into the psychological weight of living in a world shaped by constant news cycles, as they explore the emotional disconnect between everyday life and ongoing conflicts in the Middle East, the political tensions surrounding nations like Iran, and the erosion of empathy in modern discourse. They also examine how religious language is often manipulated for political agendas, emphasizing the need for integrity, clarity, and thoughtful interpretation in both faith and public conversations. Shifting to the future, Aaron and Erwin dive into the rapid rise of artificial intelligence, with Erwin strongly advocating for its potential to expand human capability while also warning of the need to preserve what makes us uniquely human—creativity, intuition, and connection. They discuss how AI will reshape education, work, and industries, predicting both disruption and a renewed value for craftsmanship and human-centered skills. He's also an author, speaker, and has been a longtime participant in the Global Leadership Summit at Willow Creek. Key Topics What holds church leaders back The most common internal limitation isn't skill or resources — it's the lack of felt permission. Pastors are often communal and loyal by nature, which also makes them dependent on someone saying "it's okay to go for it." The church culture tends to withhold permission rather than grant it. This is a big reason conferences are so magnetic — they're not primarily about information, they're about permission receiving. People go to be in a room where they feel free to dream, risk, and believe. Erwin said a large part of his life's work has been giving people permission: to dream big, to risk, to try low-percentage ideas, and to fail without that defining their worth. Giving permission downward in the org chart Leaders often receive permission at a conference and then come back and tell their team what to do — which is not the same as giving permission. True permission-giving means creating space for people to grow, develop, dream, and execute in their own way. Key principle: hold tight to where you're going, hold loosely to how you get there. Someone can execute at a high level and still do it differently than you would — and that's okay. "It's All About People" vs. "You Can't Take Everyone With You" (from Mind Shift)McManus intentionally places these as Chapter 1 and Chapter 3 as a juxtaposition. Most leaders lean hard toward one and neglect the other. His advice: read both, figure out which one resonates more, then go apply the other one. That tension is where relational elegance lives. When people leave, they attack your character At Mosaic, after major style and culture shifts, the people who left rarely said "I don't like the music." They attacked Erwin's character because it made them the hero of their story. He found the exceptions refreshing — the people who were honest ("the church is too young," "too diverse," "too evangelistic") made it easy to respond. His approach: when you bring clarity as a leader, you're giving people the gift of choice. If they hate who you are now, they're going to really hate who you're becoming — so this is actually a good time to part ways. "If you're everything, you're nothing." The white interior at Mosaic Hollywood During the 18-month pandemic shutdown, Aaron McManus pitched painting everything white — stage, speakers, walls. No precedent existed for it. The idea was: when people come back, we don't want them having a nostalgicexperience — we want them going forward. The white space became a blank canvas for projection and lighting in every direction. It's now been widely imitated. (They did the same thing at their current Pasadena theater space, which was the longtime home of the Rocky Horror Picture Show.) The Seven Frequencies of Communication The seven frequencies are a framework for understanding how people communicate and how they're heard — not just outwardly but internally, since your inner voice shapes the health of your soul. The frequencies: Commander, Challenger, Healer, Motivator, Professor, Seer, Maven. This isn't a static identity — it's a dynamic range you can access. The goal is mastery over your frequencies, not just defaulting to your primary one. Every frequency also has a shadow — the dark version of the same trait. Commander → Dictator. Seer → Perfectionist. Challenger → Manipulator. Motivator → Performer. We tend to access our shadows with zero effort and have to work to access the authentic frequency. That's true of all positive human characteristics: courage, forgiveness, integrity all require work. Their negative counterparts (fear, bitterness, dishonesty) require nothing. Practical example: Erwin's wife Kim is a Commander. 42 years of "turn off the lights and lock the doors" instead of "I love you." He learned to translate that as I love you, keep me safe. His daughter Mariah is a Challenger — she's always trying to elevate him, but it reads as reprimand. Understanding the frequency means getting offended less. Hire for character, not for frequency When Jake asked whether leaders need Commander or Challenger to run a department, Erwin's answer was simple: if the character is right, the frequency will work itself out. A high-Motivator leader who doesn't have Commander will still make people want to achieve for them — and the team will learn to push for clarity on execution. Environmental health matters more than frequency profile. Commanders and competency Commanders have competency as a core value. If you move a Commander into a new role without giving them enough context, resources, and framing, they won't feel like they're being trusted — they'll feel like they're being set up to fail. The key: make sure they feel equipped, not just trusted. "He just wants to make sure he has enough swords." Seers in leadership Many megachurch pastors are Commander-Seer combinations. The risk for Seers is confusing movement with momentum — pivoting sideways to get around an obstacle, while the team thinks the direction has changed entirely. The Seer knows they're still heading north; they forgot to communicate why they went east first. Solution from their team's side: instead of assuming the vision changed, ask "this feels like a direction change — is this a strategic move to get there faster? Help me communicate it well." Churchfront "Captive Consultant" segment Erwin's advice for Churchfront: since they're committed to serving churches exclusively, look for where churches are growing fastest — new residential development, emerging demographics — and think about what a scalable package looks like for smaller churches. The message is too important not to be heard clearly, which makes sound and AV integration genuinely mission-critical work. He also noted that once a building is built, the acoustic future is largely set — making early architectural involvement from integrators essential. Book/Resource mentioned: The Seven Frequencies of Communication — includes an assessment on their website. Also mentioned: Mind Shift by Erwin McManus.

Wisdom, Revelation and Illumination by Pastor Alvin Asiamah
In this episode, Dr. Edith Davis continues the journey of the "beautification of the Bride of Christ." As we prepare for the return of the King, we must focus on the most critical part of our spiritual anatomy: the mind. Dr. Davis breaks down the four characteristics of a sound mind and explains why integrity is the essential fuel for an anointed life. -- The mind is the linchpin of the soul; you cannot walk in power while your thoughts are in disorder. -- Integrity is defined as the perfect alignment of your thoughts, your words, and your physical actions. -- A sound mind is characterized by being cool, calm, collected, and disciplined through the Word of God. -- The power of the tongue determines life and death, but those words must be backed by a lifestyle of walking in the Truth. -- Tithing is a covenant protection for your finances, especially as we approach the great wealth transfer of 2026. -- Fasting is not just about abstaining from food; it is about casting your burdens on the High Priest and surrendering your passions. Scriptures for Further Study -- 2 Timothy 1:7 -- Proverbs 23:7 -- Proverbs 18:21 -- Matthew 6:33 -- Matthew 4:1-11 This is episode 388. +++++++ Check out my new website: https://www.enterthegloryzone.org/ MY AUDIO BOOK IS NOW AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE You can Divorce Proof Your Marriage by understanding the Secret Keys of Love. Tim shares his deeply personal journey through childhood sexual abuse, addiction to pornography, decades of therapy, and the breakthrough moments that helped him identify trauma, address it, and refuse to let it define his future, emphasizing the role of vulnerability, empathy, storytelling, and intentional relationships in real healing. Erwin reflects on his own faith journey, from a life-giving introduction to church to encountering toxic leadership in Los Angeles that resulted in years of extreme stress, mental health strain, and family pain, underscoring the danger of unsafe spiritual environments and the necessity of having people who are genuinely for you. Together, they examine the challenges leaders face in being vulnerable, the importance of creating supportive cultures for pastors, men, and families, and how dissociation, shame, and unprocessed trauma can quietly shape identity. The conversation also addresses parenting with transparency, modeling vulnerability for children, supporting men's mental health, celebrating growth and success, and shifting identity toward who we are becoming rather than what we've survived. Throughout the episode, faith is presented not as denial of pain but as a pathway through it—one that embraces therapy, community, courage, and celebration as essential tools for healing, leadership, and lasting transformation.Join the Mind Shift community here: http://erwinmcmanus.com/mindshiftpodFollow On Socialhttps://www.youtube.com/@ErwinRaphaelMcManushttps://instagram.com/mindshiftpodhttps://instagram.com/erwinmcmanushttps://instagram.com/aaroncmcmanusJoin The Newsletter!https://erwinmcmanus.com/newsletter

In episode 99 of the Mind Shift Podcast, Aaron McManus and his father, Erwin McManus, respond to the shocking assassination of Charlie Kirk in Utah, reflecting on its personal, cultural, and political weight. They emphasize the historical significance of losing such a cultural voice. They discuss Charlie Kirk's evolution from an acerbic, often polarizing figure to a respected debater unafraid to engage opposing views, with Erwin admitting his initial dislike turned into respect for Kirk's fearlessness. The conversation explores the toxicity of celebrating Kirk's death online, the fear it instills in other outspoken voices, and the hypocrisy of condemning gun violence while cheering it on.
