Michael Heiser's Supernatural covers this in a really helpful way, in later chapters.https://www.amazon.com/Supernatural-Bible-Teaches-Unseen-Matters/dp/1577995589Randy Alcorn has written extensively on what eternal life will be like after Jesus returns, in his book “Heaven.” I'd recommend giving it a read, to get more of a full picture of the things we know from Scripture, and the kinds of things believers have explored in trying to understand all of this.https://www.christianbook.com/heaven-randy-alcorn/9780842379427/pd/79422
Will we recognize each other in Heaven? Author Randy Alcorn explains that in heaven, we will see people, places and things from our earthly life, but they may not be in the form you remember!
Will we recognise each other in Heaven? Author Randy Alcorn explains that in heaven, we will see people, places and things from our earthly life, but they may not be in the form you remember! Can you tell we're a bit unorganized? Because we totally aren't! We're on top of things! We promise... Game play charts have not moved in a while, titles leaving Game Pass and Xbox Adaptive Controller is allowing wheelchairs to become Xbox Controllers! As you can tell, the news has no rhyme or reason this episode... We're just into everything from the get go. Quite a lot of news for the start of the year. We even go over what games are coming soon for the Series X. Is that the hype train pulling into the station? For new games we have a stoner Koala detective in a noir-like adventure, Pillars of Eternity II for all your RPG needs and take a trip to a strange planet in Journey to the Savage Planet. Monster Energy Supercross 3 comes out 2 weeks in a row (trust me, it makes sense) and an updated-almost-3D-remake of Snake! Now we can all be in the 90s again! We hope you enjoy this episode. Greg Louden is the Chief Convict at Convict Games and our guest this episode. This remote studio have put together STONE a love letter to noir, stoner flicks with a strong Australian aesthetic and a surreal anthropomorphic animal universe. Greg shared with us what it was like to work on this game, and how he collaborated with musicians from across the world as well as roping in as many friends and family as possible. STONE is available now on Steam. This week Microsoft announced at their X018 event that they had acquired inXile Entertainment and Obsidian Entertainment makers of Wasteland 2 and Pillars of Eternity II respectively, as it bolsters its ever growing stable of first party studios and console exclusives, with some fearing a return to the studio absorption and destruction of the early 2000s. Will this mean less of the cross platform play we're coming to expect from major titles, as exclusivity and acquisitions take hold? Pixel Sift is produced by Scott Quigg, Sarah Ireland, Fiona Bartholomaeus & Mitch Loh. Gianni Di Giovanni is our Executive Producer. Thanks to Salty Dog Sounds for some of our promo music this week. On this episode of Random Encounter: - It's a full house as former Random Encounter hosts Rob Steinman and Stephen Meyerink return (alongside veteran Caitlin Argyros) as special guests to discuss the season's hottest releases! - Metroidvanias: We love 'em, but not every one gets the formula down pat. We discuss what makes Chasm crumble in the face of contemporaries like Hollow Knight. - We tackle the dragon in the room with a lengthy discussion of Dragon Quest XI, including Stephen's experience with the Japanese 3DS version. - Rob, herald of all things Yakuza, delves into what makes Kiwami 2 the best Yakuza game yet. - Does Prey's new Mooncrash DLC surpass the game it was built around? Rob thinks it just might. - Derek can't keep Pillars of Eternity II and Divinity: Original Sin II straight, but Stephen can. He explains why it's one of the best co-op RPG experiences out there. - In the shadow of so many huge games this year, a trio of Aksys visual novels released without making a blip on the radar, but Derek's here to remedy that with an introduction to Psychedelica of the Black Butterfly, 7'sCarlet, and Psychedelica of the Ashen Hawk. - The Cyberpunk 2077 demo has the podcast crew feeling a few different ways, leading to a spirited discussion of where CD Projekt RED's heavy hitter is headed thematically. We cover a ton of games this week: "Pillars of Eternity II," the "Framed" collection, "Mushroom: THE RUCKUS," and even manage to rant effusively about the hyper-colorful gravity-based 2D space-carnage of "Hyperspace Dogfights." All that, and we still find time to talk about the awesome pc building tool over at multimonitorcomputer.com (a go-to resource for plotting the hardware aquisitions necessary to have 32 monitors on your next rig). THE COLUMN(!): ...has returned this week, to babble at you about the wondrous rogue-like adventure to be had in "Rise of the Tomb Raider's" Endurance Mode. Powracamy po długiej majówkowej przerwie, wypoczęci i z nieco mniejszą liczbą gier do nadrobienia. Mieliśmy dość czasu, aby porządnie przygotować się do recenzji najnowszego God of Wara, w której gościnnie bierze udział również Jacek „Resil” Niemojewski. Gra wzięła nas z zaskoczenia skalą, poziomem wykonania i świeżym podejściem do postaci Kratosa.
This week's topic: character creation! Matthew makes his debut on the podcast and tells us he always creates the same persona – a silver-haired man with a pencil moustache called “Mr Basil Pesto”. Terrifying. Meanwhile, Brendan makes poetic orcs or misshapen monsters. We’ve also had time to play things. Matthew is pottering through the first Pillars of Eternity and Brendan is scavenging through the bugs and jank of State of Decay 2. The topic this week was sent in by listener Orlando.
